Just use missiles. Any kind of missiles and explosives. They're both weak to explosive and quickly losing balance when hit with it.

Same. I have to play pvp with something else on for noise because the audio tracks for pvp give me a really strange sense of dread after like 20 minutes.
Feels like slipping into the backrooms at points.

Then use the "melee" explosive arm, the Chinese one. The weapon everyone calls pocket sand because of how it looks like that attack in japanese fights with the guy using sand to blind his opponent.

The chick that did the soundtrack for AC6 left the studio before the game released.
No clue if she was let go or whatever but Elden ring and AC6 were both weak soundtrack wise. Both are elevator music with 2-3 interesting tracks stretched over a long playtime like too little butter on too much toast.

                >there's almost no ambiant noises in the entire game outside of the sound of the wind

I hate everything about elden ring so much. The ost, the map, the copy pasted dungeons, the copy pasted mini bosses, the copy pasted locations, the enemies scattered everywhere with no sense of intelligent design surrounding encounters, it makes me feel empty.
And I'm mad when I see how popular it is just because it's le open world.
Statistically 70-80% of the elden ring players never toucher the older fromsoft games. No sekiro. No Bloodborne. No dark souls. No demon's soul. And they think to make a good soulbirn you just need to drop strong enemies in a big map and to be able to teleport anywhere.

The entirety of ER's soundtrack is weak except the main theme and the ancestor spirit theme. Main theme isn't even good it just resonates well when it kicks in during the final boss fight.
I've got weird musical interests though. I recently went deep into Geinoh Yamashirogumi and only had to stop when I got to the LP that starts with a woman screeching like her child died for a minute. Shit got too experimental for me.

My only problem with the game is that I don't like the more open missions with how they are presented, it feels like wasted space from them just wanting to make a cool boss and a cool boss alone. The Arena was great since it had the good 1v1 or 1vmany strong forces focus instead of 1 strong boss and many weak mechs.

I kind of liked how some missions reused maps. It felt good having to go into the hole where you got snatched and interrogated by Snail and realizing it was attached to an early game level the whole time was pretty cool.

I found the narrative of ac6 to be exhaustingly similar to the rehashed souls plots of rekindling and cycles. But I absolutely love the artistic direction of this game. These gigantic and intricately dense mechanical structures are so cool to look at and fly around on. It's a shame the gameplay feels so easy and unrewarding, otherwise this would be a real favorite of mine.

      Anonymous

the strange feed the fire shit was 100% marketing to try and rope in the soulslets.
The game would have been served better cutting all those lines and only having the coral release black hole dark sign be there. When your "homage" is a literal black hole warping reality you can justify it.

AC's only saving grace in that regard is that the defacto correct option is to just burn the planet again, and again, and again. It inversed the narrative of the souls games and how you shouldn't light another fire.

It's safe to say that new AC blows and it's a blunder. Fromsoft can't innovate nor move on from their 2006 engine and awful gameplay.

I loved it from a conceptual point. I never fell for being an Ayre simp but get that 621 is in that ending. A black hole forming right before all the wackiness is a good way to clue the player in that they shouldn't be thinking too seriously about this it is just wish fulfillment for sad lonely incels.
People theorycrafting on how dlc would add to that ending is laughable though.

ricochet and the stagger bar destroyed this game

People adapted to stagger and it's fine if not tuned well yet. Ricochet is completely irredeemable at the conceptual level.

      >every bullet is too slow every enemy takes too long to kill unless you have a burst damage option to capitalize on stagger every enemy is too far away so you can't snipe them both because of ricochet and because of low bullet speed and they can always dodge anyways
You don't understand how the FCS aiming in the game works. Ricochet is dogshit but you shouldn't be missing shot unless you are actively firing your guns when the FCS isn't locked on yet.
Fire a steady stream of ammo into a mech as they dodge and watch what happens. Now do the same thing but stop shooting when they dodge and start back up when they finish the dodge and then watch what happens.

Most people that play the game don't understand the actual combat. I hate DS2 but aiming in AC is like ADP in DS2, stats actually effect it it isn't just a blanket mechanic that operates in a static sense.

The people saying long range doesn't exist anymore are telling a half truth. Long range is just missile spamming now (missiles always do damage and can't ricochet except truenos which shouldn't be missile specced to begin with).
If you play a long distance missile spammer there are entire tiers of other players you'll beat without ever being hit once.

It's a fun game but is not challenging whatsoever, most of the factions are too damn stingy to throw their big guns at you so you spend most of the game killing helicopters and MT's which die in 1 shot, the most fun is trying to actually survive the set piece encounters like the planet closure administration agents who try to double team you.

      Anonymous

If you want to have great fun I recommend challenge builds. For instance I played once with the lightest core I could build. Two sampu and a dagger.
Game is really cool and fun when you're forced to manage the little ammo and health you have, you need to handicap yourself a little.

        >you need to handicap yourself a little.

Yeah I know what you mean but light AC's are basically untouchable and I like playing Heavy builds, honestly I just think this should have been the game were they should have reused enemies to their hearts content, I mean we fight the top PCA cavalry like twice, at some point we even fight the top 2 AC's from the arena, they could have spammed us with tough enemies accompanied with trash mobs just to balance out how powerful our AC really is.

I had a lot of problems with AC6, but what killed replayability and long-term commitment to the game for me was the lack of any sort of mid-tier difficulty in PVE.
I'm either steamrolling through the levels or dying a ton to bosses like CEL240 or Balteus or what have you.
I can probably count in one hand the number of times I died outside of a boss.
So once I've reasonably mastered the bosses (meaning, I can beat them without dying and needing to restart the boss checkpoint or even not needing to use healing items), what else is there left that can kill me? Nothing. I'm not gonna die to shitter unmanned MTs. Nor am I going to die to ACs when I can stunlock them to death in like 20-30 seconds.
The only thing close to fail states I experienced after this is just getting A-Ranks when I am chasing for S-Ranks, like "Investigate BAWS Arsenal No. 2", with its insanely tight time limit and ammo allowed to be used before you fail your S-Rank and only get an A-Rank.

The only part of the game that came close to having "mid tier" difficulty was the missions with the cokehead Coral MTs or those Bonewheel Helianthus enemies. And they're only in a grand total of TWO (2) missions out of the 50+ missions in the game.

  30. 7 months ago

Overall, the game did have problems, but considering that the series has been on hiatus for 10 years, what they tried was really impressive. Most fun I've had in an AC game since a long time. Easily an 8/10, but with tons of room for an improvement.

Really with how often they intelligently reuse levels and assets I don't think the game was expensive at all. So unless the big suits at fromsoft are mega israelites there's no reason not to bet on AC and improve it by using 6 as a developing ground.
Not all games should be giant AAA turds costing trillions.

        >I don't think the game was expensive at all.
The marketing was probably the more expensive part of the whole thing. Bamco gave it all, plastering it on public buses, putting the trailers on movie theater preview slots, hiring actors like Karl Urban in their TV ads, and even a spot in Times Square.

it seems that there's only ONE solution left for Armored Core to retain the zoomer playerbase without them leaving for other games with waifus...

Is this a mental illness of some kind? Why does he always do this after people laugh at him for

just beat the true ending. what was with ALLMIND suddenly having an iguazu clone? i liked the fight and having a proper final duel with him but i don't really understand it. that and coral release, i don't understand that either.

the song that plays in the true ending credits, the one with the vocals, was probably the best song. dunno why there wasnt more like it

He's signaling and always does the same rotation when he does it. There's a reason anon asked what the odds of him asking about the 3 locked arena ranks.

He always seethes and leaves when you talk past him like this. Notice the thread died because he stopped spamming shitposts?
          It's better this way.

AC bros, which should I play next if I 100% 6 as my first mecha game and loved every second of it? Should've gotten into this shit long ago.

Try them in chronological order. See how the series evolved and take your pics from there.

All of them in release order. They all play similarly and you get to see the advancements they made along the way. When you get to the PS360 you can stop, those games aren't really armored core games.

1 and Arena. Then play any of the PS2 games that look interesting, or just skip to Last Raven. Then 4 and For Answer if you have a good PC.
Most of the games have moronic default controls so make sure you visit the in-game options menus.

Don't fall for nostalgiaBlack person slop. Do challenge runs in ac6 or move on.

Don't listen to this Black persongay. Even the PS1 games are cool and they're short so you can finish them fast.

I'm an OG fan and wasn't alienated. You're just a loser among your fellow doomposters, one who got btfo when this game came out and was liked.

AC6 is unquestionably top 3 for the series alongside Last Raven and For Answer. Baby boy just got filtered.

The only part that felt like he was drawing/writing something interesting to him was when he was first explaining how the mechs fly in formation.
Everything else was superfluous bullshit so he could find a way to visualize a squadron flying in zero g.

Currently working my way through NG++ and it's crazy just how much easier the game is on your second or third run compared to the first. Balteus and Ibis kicked my ass so many times but now they're no trouble at all.

Yeah, it does a good job making you feel stronger with all the stuff you obtain during the story. I hope you burn the planet in the first run, ally the rubicanian in the second run. That is the most "sense" in term of story order.

You do remember that you have far better tools to use. Also they patched the shit out of both. I wondered why I could beat Ibis with only 1 repair kit during NG+.
