      Little Hope.
      Keep playing and you'll (probably) realize something.

      if this is the game i think it is then this is explained in the ending where i think the main character has a head injury and is viewing the people he was in a crash with as these settlers

      If I remember right, though it's been a while;
      It's literally all in his head as he tries to 'justify' a freak house fire from years ago that killed his family and left him brain damaged, and it's all brought up again in his mind when he has revisit his hometown after a bus crash. The 'settler moments' are him piecing together a false narrative that some abused girl put a curse on the house and that he can 'fix' things.

      should i play it

        No. Little Hope actually sucks. The first part of the 'trilogy' is okay at best.
        House of Ashes is actually somehow good.

          I played the man of Medan and the quarry, which I think is the same devs but not part of their "anthology", are the others worth trying? Quarry was pretty ok but Medan was kinda poopoo tbh

          • 2 years ago
            Anonymous

            The Quarry is the same devs but isn't part of the 'trilogy' (which itself is only loosely connected to one another).
            Overall I'd say Until Dawn > House of Ashes >>> Man of Medan >>>>> Little Hope.
            Can't say much about the Quarry, don't know much about it.

              How close is the ranking between Until Dawn and House of Ashes? I quite enjoyed Until Dawn, didn't care for Man of Medan, didn't play Little Hope but heard it was fricking stupid and pulled the unforgivable trope already mentioned in the thread. Also have seen threads on here about the Quarry being stupid.

              Should I give House of Ashes a try? Is it a return to form?

              • 2 years ago
                Anonymous

                House of Ashes is much closer to Until Dawn than the two predecessors. A bit shorter I think and a bit faster to get to the action and tension.
                If you mind some fairly light spoilers;
                House of Ashes doesn't di the psychological bullshit.

                Hmm that spoiler might have convinced me I think, the setting seemed neat and since MoM and Little Hope both pulled that shit that was a fear of mine. Thanks Anon.

                Watched a playthrough on youtube of the Quarry.
                It's in all respects a worse version of Until Dawn. The plot and setting is pretty much identical, just sub in a different monster.

        White erasure is not okay, neither is black erasure.

        Instead of clapping that white people are being erased in media, you should realize that black stories are not being funded, made or produced.
        It's just a minstrel show with blacks in caricatures of white people.

      If you haven't caught on yet. The israelite has been using the Eternal Anglo to astroturf their Talmudic world revisionism to the rest of the world. Anglo culture died after the protestant reformation movements it became hyper-consumerist and soulless and very israeli. European culture must cease to exist through generational gas lighting and once they have mutted the whole of Europe they will set their sights on Asia.

          Jews have undermined host countries for eons. It's simply what they do. Ironic that you would mention the majority blaming minorities when the israelites would often petition Christian King's help in eradicating sects of their own people that did not align with orthodox teachings.
