If it's an I/DD group home, they do let you have consoles. I work for a CDDP and get incident reports for one client who keeps breaking his consoles over CoD.
I know he bought a Nintendo Switch from Walmart, but for this he’s probably just using the app all things considered. He was back on Pokémon Go as well under the username ChrisChanSchu82 but he seems to have deleted his account.

He was never legally prohibited from being online. The hearing was just to see if he was abiding by the terms of the deferred disposition arrangement (most likely that he was living at a group home and not trying to frick with Barb, literally or figuratively, and not getting up to any other mischief). He probably earned limited online privileges for good behavior at the group home. Typically such places dole out privileges based on good behavior. It's also possible that he just got on McDonald's free wifi with his phone during one of their outings (he was seen on the app, not on an actual Playstation), so it's possible that the privilege he earned was access to a phone (he would still have to pay for it).

Chris has been in a group home since March. He had a court date recently and the status of the case has been changed to "Resolved Order Pending." The details aren't clear because Virginia's courts aren't very transparent, but it seems Chris is officially free.
That said, he hasn't really posted anything online besides this PSN status yet. No videos, no tweets. He's also deleted his Pokemon Go and Nintendo Switch accounts. It's not clear if this is because of the group home trying to restrict his Internet access or if Chris has finally learned that putting shit online won't end well.
Get help. It's not good being this obsessed with someone who's mentally ill.

Geno normies don’t know that many, many people tried to save Chris, but the trolls screened his emails and social media. Any message containing good advice was usually deleted before Chris could see it. If Chris did see it, Kim would go “This guy’s a troll, don’t listen to him,” and that would be the end of that.
Most people only have a passing interaction, which due to the nature of it being so quick, is usually just passing judgment and moving on.

That's basically it. People communicate in emotions really, so all the time they spend on Chris is a very basic "supportive/sad/mad" trifecta of reactions. There's no in-between or an understanding of the continuous nature of his insanity.

1) He isn't in jail, he is in a group home as part of a deferred disposition arrangement.
2) He was in jail for about two years because his lawyer was continually delaying the legal process to secure a group home who would accept him (most group homes do not accept residents who are sex criminals; because they are private institutions, they don't have to follow the legal definition of sex criminal, so it doesn't matter than Chris was never convicted).

Yes, and he wasn't denied the right to a speedy trial. His lawyer was delaying the legal process, on his behalf. He had the right to have a quick trial that would have resulted in a ten year prison sentence, he chose not to go that route so that he wouldn't get convicted of anything at all.
