is the logitech double clicking thing a meme?
i used a G203 for like 5 straight years and i didnt take care of it and it never double clicked
i switched to a DeathAdder just because its bigger for my mammoth hands
my DeathAdder started doubleclicking after 10 years. Got a new one and it did the same thing immediately, and had other issues. I think they started using shittier materials or something.
ive been using the DeathAdder V2 for like idk a year now? its still fine but how long itll last is up in the air
I've used Razer, Logitech, and Corsair over 10 years. All of them have the double clicking issue. I stay with Logitech because they have the longest warranty and will honor the warranty with double clicking
ive seriously never experienced this, maybe i just have a really light touch when i use my mouse or its a grip thing. who knows

All of them use the same cheap chinese-made omron switches. Before I learned how to replace and solder the switches with new ones I bought a Zowie FK1 that used Huanos.
Popping open your mouse is a relatively easy endeavor, and if you know how to solder you can replace them with higher quality mouse switches that won't break (and even if they do, you can just replace them again for $2)
Do you need a hot air station or are the switches big enough that you can use an iron to get them off? I have a DeathAdder and a basilisk that I like but the rmb is going on one and the mmb is going on the other.
That one is a bit trickier, since (at least on my G Pro wireless) it doesn't use a conventional mouse switch. I'm currently working on replacing my own middle mouse button.
I'm getting a pack of cheap TACT switches that are 6x6x6 in diameter, to see if those work, but I've also read that Kailh Mini 5.5H Microswitches are pretty good for replacing the middle switches on certain mice.
Depends on your mouse.
its a real thing
I've had two g pro wirelesses and they both started double clicking in 3 months.
You may have noticed that pro players and streamers who use the G Pro Wireless all use the white version. This is a special production of the mouse which has superior switches and doesn't have the double click problem, but only sponsored players can get them. Which means that Logitech is well aware of the double click issue to the point where they have a special version of the mouse for pros to prevent them from experiencing double clicks.
and yea you can solder on custom switches but if I'm pay top dollar for a premium "Pro" mouse I shouldn't have to do that. its bullshit. Logitech shills btfo
Every mouse uses the same switches from omron. It is a meme that any brand is any more susceptible than the other. In all cases you can disassemble it and either clean out the switch or replace it entirely.
>In all cases you can disassemble it and either clean out the switch or replace it entirely.
If you think needing to swap out switches is acceptable you are cucked
id be up for a hotswappable mouse honestly
those switches are probably like $1 each and probably wears out within years if not months while the rest of the mouse lasts practically forever
I'm on my 2nd warranty and they won't let me register this time. I blame no one but the gaymers for letting them get away with these cheap plastic chinese switches
>*buys a bag of new omron switches for $10, enough to last a lifetime*
It must suck not being l33t enough to know hot wo buy things online or use a screwdriver and a soldering iron
I tried this for day or two.
But the wheel was rattling too much for my liking locked and unlocked, also I could feel it moving everytime I flick the mouse.
Returned it and got another G402 instead, haven't found anything better than that.
Is there even an alternative to logitech in the mouse department? Razer is shit at their jobs and chink companies can't get the shape right. It's different from mech keyboards, at least there we have several companies
there's tons of competition, the only thing that really separates mice today is price, nearly all of them are so similar that it doesn't matter what brand you buy anymore
> Just replaces cheap MS mouse with other cheap MS mouse already purchasesd and waiting on shelf, then orders another for 10 bucks to go back on the shelf. > Have been doing this for 10+ years sofar and on average have had to actually replace once every 4 years.
Not a single frick given.
I use Razer viper, but mostly because i`m left handed and there are no left handed optical mouses around here, and i couldnt find any other ambidextrous optical mouse either.
Every mouse I've had since 2012 would double click within two years. The cheap 20 dollar G203's lasted just as long as the 60 dollar deathadders. I'd love to find a mouse that actually lasts longer than a couple years.
my year old g203 started inconsistently double clicking, i'm probably gonna have to return it while it's still under warranty just to stay safe but man it sucks
>go through 4 different razer nagas that keep having the same issues with scroll wheel double-scrolling, becoming less sensitive, side buttons becoming less sensitive, after less than a year >"frick it" and bought some rando $30 chinese MMO mouse instead >working fine for 4 years now with no issues
i just bought a spare g305 during the prime day sales (was like 30 dollars off or something) in case my current one starts double clicking though right now it's still fine after almost a year
i like the mouse a lot, very easy to actuate the mouse click, relatively light, and most importantly, replaceable standard batteries
though im curious why people pay $100 extra just to have a mouse that's 30g lighter, is it that big a deal? Losing the replaceable batteries is annoyin tho
>First time I have to clean out the shit from inside my mouse >Carefully CAREFULLY CCCCCCAARREFFFULLLYYY put the feet back on >Try using it again, wow mousewheel feels really nice >Move cursor around to open a game >scrrrrrrrrrrrr

Because they all use the exact same switches.

They're solder-sized.
Awesome, thanks man!
Any easy way to fix the scroll wheel/middle mouse double clicking?

I used to buy logitech mice all the time but my last 3 have been double clicking not even half a year of use.
its a real thing

You can buy the white superlight moron.
No that one is different.
There is a white version that only sponsored players can get.

my rubber is sloughing off at this point, but it's lasted a god damn long time, even outliving my G9x
>buying mice with mechanic switches in the current year
For what purpose?
Optical switches lads, Logitech hasn't produced a decent quality mouse since the MX518, get yourself a cheap Roccat or whatever.
Is there even an alternative to logitech in the mouse department? Razer is shit at their jobs and chink companies can't get the shape right. It's different from mech keyboards, at least there we have several companies

what mouse doesn't double click
Ones with optical switches.

I've literally never had a mouse double click, most of the time the fricking wheel dies.
Same. They should be optimizing wheel technology instead of wasting time with dpi autism.
Thats just dust and hair clogging up your wheel sensor. Take it apart and clean it you disgusting man.
My brother gave me his old one, and I worked out why after a day of using it. Fricking thing randomly double-clicks. What a prick.
>Not using mouses with optic switches in 2k22
LMAO
name few pls, I'm out of the loop and dont know whats new these days
I use Razer viper, but mostly because i`m left handed and there are no left handed optical mouses around here, and i couldnt find any other ambidextrous optical mouse either.
viper mini
until they have optic switches for the wheel idc
Unbeaten. Forever King.
My man. Had about 3 of these. Got the new one as well, still as good. Beat FPS mouse there is.
>mine double clicked
>had to replace them
>MS no longer produce them
>have to settle with RGB2coolmouse
FUUUUUUUCK
I honestly can't live without a free spinning mouse any more. It's so much more comfortable scrolling through websites and documents.

Get some good switches and stop giving israelites money because of planned obsolescence.
Can't you just replace the switches with optical ones?
works on my machine.
I have used nothing but the Logitech MX518 for the last 20 years now, and I refuse to amuse anything else.
ive never been satisfied by a logitech product

glorious chinese plastic, melted and moulded over 1000 times
>try to rebend the copper spring thing
>its like trying to rebend something that is the thickness of 1/50th of a grain of rice

I have a laser mouse, so no double clicking.
I started buying razer mouses because of the optical switches. The scroll wheel feels like it's always half broken out of the box though.
