the boost mechanic alone is genius and it's criminal nobody has ripped it off
This. Nobody gives a frick about adventure mode or whatever other shit it ripped off from diddle-a-kid racing. It's all about the boost system.
This. I don't even care, just rip it off, I'll play your game.
>>don't even add anything particularly new or original
It's boost mechanic is not only new, but nobody has done it since, it is what sets it apart from the rest and why the skill ceiling is way higher.
It is the best for a reason, and that reason isn't because they just ripped off others
I just couldn't get into the remake. It doesn't feel anywhere near as nice as CTR.
Both the first 2 Crash racing games invented boost gameplay styles and antigravity gimmicks that Mario Kart would copy long afterward.
Antigrav was in f-zero before cnk existed.
The mechanics that cnk actually introduced to the crash racing series aren't actually good. The new weapons were fricking stupid, the frenzy mode is either OP or useless, and the team racing aspect is negligible.
The FMVs were pretty great though, and the design of the characters was really solid as they were the first good looking iterations of them in 6th gen.
Its a decent game but its bogged down by poor physics and them not doing a good enough job with the boost system. Nitro fueled did the sequel better justice both for tracks and breathing life into CNKs characters
no one cares about "literally who?" games
yeah the frenzy and team mechanics were invented by someone smoking crack, but cnk's wall riding mechanic is more similar to mario kart's than f-zero's. even the way the wheels flip.
One of the few games I 100%'ed as a kid on ps1. Still annoyed that the remake wasn't ported to pc. Guess I'll just emulate it on yuzu/ryu
Whts wrong the green haired dyke is kinfa cute
I want Ami to fricking destroy me.
Mariogays/nintengays forever seething
>the pc port is almost complete
>it will have mods, custom tracks/characters, and online
crashbros... we fricking won
instead of porting a fricking ps1 game they should use the source code to remake it from the ground up on pc so that it can actually run properly and support more content than it originally had, instead of us having to replace old content if we want to add new characters or tracks
source?
>tendies seething anytime the competition comes out with something better
>the seething will never end as CTR continues to be the greatest party racing game ever
and this
how do I git gud at papu's pyramid? it seems impossible to do the first section without hitting a wall
the other shortcuts are easy but I never see anyone complaining about the first section
this is the only thing in vidya that hypes me up at this point
>how do I git gud at papu's pyramid? it seems impossible to do the first section without hitting a wall
It is possible but you have to cut the corner perfectly. Not sure if it's possible with dingo/tiny without air braking or slowing down.
I think I'll have to download the european version to use penta
it will be very difficult at first but I need the turn
the remake is easier to do the shortcuts
I saw the WR and apparently, u-turn doesn't consume your reserves
fixing the shortcut at the end was expectable though
Is this cope or are you talking about a fan port of the PS1 game? Because NF is a literal NEVER EVER
the ps1 game has been reverse engineered almost fully
Thank you NSA
the crowd effect always looked so janky and weird to me, like they literally took a bunch of cocos and turned them black. could have at least used the lab asses.
Speaking of lab asses

Nintendo rips off Sega, then years later their drones claim their ripoff is original
you had me in the first half, was gonna post about how its still the best game in the genre by far anyway
based
CTR literally has the best and most fun mechanics of any kart racing game ever made though
GRIP
?t=613
>30FPS even in the remake
>don't even add anything particularly new or original
all you had to say was that you're bad at the game
CTR is unmatched lol
guys... I'm afraid that, with all this unanimous praise, we will awaken another contrarian schizo
Just say you're a furry with autism and be done with it
