I've always played PVP but the abilities in SoD are legit broken. Warlocks literally turn into raid bosses with one button. Hunters one-shot any class from stealth. Mages fricking heal now too.
I can't see this being anything but an absolute shitshow in world PVP.
I am DREADING trying to get a BFD raid going and spending six hours just trying to get to the instance portal because we're being farmed by the enemy faction all day in the entrance tunnels.

Psuedo-Battleground world events are a major feature with rewards very much expecting that you win. They won't be forcing faction balance on the PvE server as they will the PvP servers. You'll either constantly steamroll it or get fully cucked and be unable to get rewards.

Shadow Priest is going to be the worst spec in the game. Balance druids will be fine but nobody will want them over a feral druid since feral is the only way to get windfury right now.
Balance druids look viable, they fix the mana pool, same as DPS cat by giving it windfury and attack speed abilities.
Don't know about priests idc about that class.

Obviously normal classic has a ton of "dead" specs that are borderline worthless, does SoD aim to fix that or are there still going to be trash specs?
Some are being fixed. Paladin is finally viable for all roles, apparently.
In the end the game is going to devolve back in 32 warriors per raid unless they completely gut them.
They added a ton of new dumb gimmick specs but then just made it so warriors get even more free damage and rage that will continue to outscale everyone else.
Black person there was a slide in the Blizzcon presentation about exactly this. They're buffing everything else more and are probably going to do something to compensate for the rage scaling feedback loop.

You do get to play it for a while, pretty close to half a year or so? They said its 4 phases and a minimum of 4 weeks and a maximum of 7 per phase or something like that. Endgame servers get stale. The economy gets inflated, theres nothing to do but grind the same content, its hard to get in as a new player. Its more fun to start fresh again once in a while with a new economy and now you even get new cool private server stuff and abilities etc.
So i cant just have one main and build upon with every new level bracket?

A season means the entire 1-60 process, 1-25, 25-whatever are considered "phases" of that season.
You can level up to 25 as many characters as you want, then they will raise the level limit to 35 or 40 or something in the future.

Mage healers seem kind of lame, they debuff their damage output so I don't see them being very dangerous in PvP.
They debuff their fire and frost damage. In pvp they are going to use arcane blast+arcane surge to one shot someone every 2 minutes while using regeneration on themselves.

I'm actually torn. There seems to be a lot of pros and cons to rolling on the streamer realm. I think it could be worth it as long as you're on the other faction and get to farm the noobs that watch them. I'm worried about queue times too but 3 months from now you might really come out ahead by being on a more popular server. Unless the streamergays all leave and all the normal WoW players rolled on the other server to avoid all of it. Analysis paralysis honestly.
The upside of the streamer realm is it will be popular and there will always be people playing on it. The downside is the moment the streamer stops playing their followers do as well and then the server population tanks.
If there's only 2 PvP realms like the initial leak suggested and they're divided as east and west, I'm hoping that the fallout isn't so bad and enough people just picked their regional realm. One of the devs apparently said that they will lock character creation on certain realms when there is too much of a player disparity and you'll have to make a char somewhere else.
Is there actually an RPPVP realm for SoD? I'm definitely rolling there if there is. Much lower chance to roll into metaslave homosexuals and just have fun
