The atmosphere, and characters are kino. The lack of meaningful choice undermines the character writing though. That and the basic combat and mountain of bugs really hurt it's immersion.

Because they had so much work done by Pondsmith and other writers of the RPG books that they had the setting handed to them on a platter. Given that Pondsmith was also working for them with this game they had no excuse to mangle the scenario. The only thing CDPR needed to do was bolt on competent gameplay. And they fricked up their side of things.

CD Projekt Red is a shit developer, Witcher 3 wasn't good but at least I can see the fricking appeal of that pile of shit. Cyberpunk has zero redeeming qualities.
