Skyrim survived because of the ease of adding animations which led to sex mods. Thats literally the only reason, everything else stems from that.
The easier it is to add perverted shit then the longer it will survive. Fallout 4 made it difficult so its dead despite using the same framework as Skyrim.
In Skyrim I can mod in being the owner of a mansion in a Whiterun where all women are slaves by law and I can punish children by having a spider rape them.
That level of freedom is what keeps games alive in the modding community, and the harder they make it to add animations and content and quests and stuff then the less time it will survive.

Third-person was originally planned and you can look up the interviews where they say it if you want, they also had cutscenes throughout the whole game where you see your character. All cut due to time constraints but they played it off like first person story telling is what they wanted to do from the start. Looked up the 2013 leaked build to see third person.

The third person mode in the 2013 build is the same as those of Half-Life, Dead Island, and Mirror's Edge - a debug view to help during development that looks horrible. They may have intended to go back and redo all the character animations to support third person, but it was never a priority, and it's presence isn't needed to justify character customisation.
Might play it for a second time on base PS4 when new patch will be backported just to see if any progress was made. 1.31 experience was hilarious with dialogue audio desync and minor glitches.
The game was never made to run on the old gen consoles. Its their fault for marketing it as if it could of course, but dont expect a pleasant experience on PS4.

There are something like 3 complete spots up there - clouds terrace, Kerrys club and sun ending. Everything else has missing roofs and textures, not even talking about any interesting locations or mechanisms (like being able to properly snipe from distance).

Just like with Witcher 2, that shit will be dead on arrival because they are releasing the tools wayyy past the point people still giving a shit. I don't know man. I think the real difference is the capturing of the player bases imagination. The biggest reason Fallout 4 doesn't have the same modding scene as Skyrim is just a lack of want or desire to build mods for that particular game. Theres just a lack of passion for Fallout 4 where as Skyrim is almost if not more relevant now than it was when it released. I think its largely due to demand and the passion and imagination of its player base.
An IP like Cyberpunk definitely has this same passion and appeal. For evidence look at the sheer amount of people wishing for a "no mans sky style" reboot of the game. Cyberpunk has clearly ignited the imagination of its player base is my point and I really wouldn't be surprised to see the modding scene for it fricking explode once Dev Tools are officially released.

hmmm you can actually tell how many people are still working on cyberpunk by this. The Molasses Flood has 50 employees and the support for cyberpunk is atleast 5-6 times larger so I'd say it looks like 300 people are still working on cyberpunk updates.
They might simply consider the fundament complete. If you don't have to rewrite half of your engine, new console generation support and desing a whole new world adding just new mission content and minimal mechanics might not need that many people.

1.5 fixed some third person anims to look better, but combat is still shitty. Walking animations and jog anim are fine, I guess on a 2010 game quality.

I guess it depends on whether they are gonna make multiple expansions. Sorta like with Witcher 3 how the first expansion was largely stand alone, but the second one served as a good epilogue to the entire game.
Maybe they are hoping to win people back with expac 1 and then do a conclusion with expac 2.

No CDPR outright confirmed in their last investor call that the expansion "will be the last product on RED engine". To everyone who doesn't have schizophrenia this means Cyberpunk is getting 1 expansion.

There was around 150+ quests that were datamined and ended up on the cutting room floor. This is factual, anyone can see this. The game is missing atleast 80 hours of content (play the witcher 3 and you'll understand). The game had a massive restructuring after Keanu wanted a larger role, originally Johnny wasn't even a main focus. They pretty much picked the few best side quests that are still left in the game, added johnny to them and cut everything else. Time constraints on the release schedule also played a massive part in these cuts.

Area marked in red is most of the area where the expansion will take place (+ spaceport which isn't shown here). It's completely walled off currently in the game.

The game was never that bad, it's not the second coming of christ (we need him so badly) but it's a neat far cry game with a city backdrop and a kino story. Just don't think of playing it on last gen consoles as they are just incapable of running the game properly, get it on a decent PC that can use DLSS.

I really don't know why they're so adamantly refusing to do 3rd person. It just fricking makes sense for this game. Any of the gameplay issues are easily resolved by putting the player back into first person when combat starts.
