on goblin and ice caves, there's a bunch of static exits that open randomly. on crypts they still have the portals but there's like a blue circle on the floor where a portal will eventually spawn so you're not wondering where they will be.

In normals theres hardly any pvp cause theres 20k newfriends dying to mobs. I haven't hit 20 to do high roller yet. I could see there being less pvp or more pvp depending on how they changed the incentives. last wipe PvP was a waste of time for grinding rank.

Almost every "basic" mob can be completely trivialized by walking up to it, making it swing at you, walking away, and hitting it while it's recovering from it's swing animation.
Don't use the "s" key. it's way slower than pushing w or a/d.
For more advanced mobs you'll need to learn their pattern or trick. Like the skeletal axeman you hug him and circle left. if you try to out run him, you get headshot.

There's normal mode (white and grey gear only) and high roller is now "ranked." you wont see turbo sweats until you hit "blue" rank. blue rank is coincidentally the most important rank cause you get the character skin.

When they got sued by nexon they changed it so drastically that basic things like the player market, multiple character slots, and possibly the most heinous of them all not being able to equip gear over the rarity of common when redeploying cost 30 dollars or a time investment in in the free 2 play.

Most of the complaints on Steam are because the game isn't really F2P, it just has a free demo and a lot of the functions are locked behind $30. It's not communicated properly, but making the game fully F2P would be a colossal mistake
The actual complaints are largely about stale gameplay and bad balance. I don't know how seriously I can take someone complaining the game is boring after admitting to play the game for over 1000 hours though
White lobbies are objectively better pvp experiences (unless you are wizard lol), the devs have a history of miscommunication. Even if you were to upgrade to legendary you still can't bring in gear until like level 20 which is still moronic.
They should have limited gear to blue on regular dungeons for a week because the main concern is people gearing the frick out and stomping lobbies which is only a real concern after a week or two.

Betas were very experimental up until this launch. They had a multiclass system in place but I guess that got taken out. But one thing that stayed the same was having gearscore affect queue. Did they change that yet? if not, the game is going to be trash with people not wanting to fight to save their gear and keep it in their stash forever, as they dont want to equip it and face high geared people and lose it. It was a whole issue that caused dropoffs in playerbase while it was in beta still.
Oh, that and movespeed stacking. Frick movespeed stacking. Every build depended on movespeed.
The formula worked better as a 1-2 week test run with a few months of breaks.
Kept people from reaching the skill ceiling and keeping the game fun. Now new players are skilled out as there's no skill-based matchmaking. The fun got optimized out.
Also not being on steam for ages after release killed all hype.
I would argue most "experienced" players still just W key and hit people. It's why fighters are so butt hurt right now with the Sprint nerf. Still newer players are having issues with three different dungeons to memorize while regulars can just bee line to hot spots easy.
The most skill based class is probably ranger, I suck at any game with projectiles with travel time but I have seen solo rangers clear out squads, you simply can't chase them because they could have a dozen traps in the next room.
so I don't know what the frick to make of druid but that perk that makes them phantomize when hit (but still be able to cast spells) is absolutely nutty. it doesn't look like there's enough magic damage (or dmg spells) available to make spellcaster druid a thing though.
should be incredibly strong in 3s as a healer though.

In normals theres hardly any pvp cause theres 20k newfriends dying to mobs. I haven't hit 20 to do high roller yet. I could see there being less pvp or more pvp depending on how they changed the incentives. last wipe PvP was a waste of time for grinding rank.

Almost every "basic" mob can be completely trivialized by walking up to it, making it swing at you, walking away, and hitting it while it's recovering from it's swing animation.
Don't use the "s" key. it's way slower than pushing w or a/d.
For more advanced mobs you'll need to learn their pattern or trick. Like the skeletal axeman you hug him and circle left. if you try to out run him, you get headshot.

There's normal mode (white and grey gear only) and high roller is now "ranked." you wont see turbo sweats until you hit "blue" rank. blue rank is coincidentally the most important rank cause you get the character skin.

you see when the game first launched on steam you had 6 character slots and could pay for emotes and races with the micro transactions. When they got sued by nexon they changed it so drastically that basic things like the player market, multiple character slots, and possibly the most heinous of them all not being able to equip gear over the rarity of common when redeploying cost 30 dollars or a time investment in in the free 2 play.
But I guess people are dumb for not licking the buttholes of the company running it even though they went back on everything they promised while improving nothing.

Most of the complaints on Steam are because the game isn't really F2P, it just has a free demo and a lot of the functions are locked behind $30. It's not communicated properly, but making the game fully F2P would be a colossal mistake
The actual complaints are largely about stale gameplay and bad balance. I don't know how seriously I can take someone complaining the game is boring after admitting to play the game for over 1000 hours though

They should have limited gear to blue on regular dungeons for a week because the main concern is people gearing the frick out and stomping lobbies which is only a real concern after a week or two.

And it's only worse here because of stats. you can make your character near invincible and steamroll everything the turd throws at you because of it. Betas were very experimental up until this launch. They had a multiclass system in place but I guess that got taken out. But one thing that stayed the same was having gearscore affect queue. Did they change that yet? if not, the game is going to be trash with people not wanting to fight to save their gear and keep it in their stash forever, as they dont want to equip it and face high geared people and lose it. It was a whole issue that caused dropoffs in playerbase while it was in beta still.
Oh, that and movespeed stacking. Frick movespeed stacking. Every build depended on movespeed.

I would argue most "experienced" players still just W key and hit people. It's why fighters are so butt hurt right now with the Sprint nerf. Still newer players are having issues with three different dungeons to memorize while regulars can just bee line to hot spots easy.
The most skill based class is probably ranger, I suck at any game with projectiles with travel time but I have seen solo rangers clear out squads, you simply can't chase them because they could have a dozen traps in the next room.

The problem is that I can't even take greens into normal mode even if I buy the game. Gear you get in normal mode should be usable in normal mode

When you can bring any gear into the queue, you end up with geared out pubstompers clearing out the whole lobby. It's pretty much fun for no one.
There's plenty of other queues for if you want to use your gear.
You think you want this, but you don't want this. Normals was created as an equalizer to stop min-maxing the baby mode. It used to be unlimited and people were taking legendaries into normals.
So they capped it to blue and people min-maxxed (a good blue is 10x more valuable than an off value blue).
So they said frick you all and capped it to white. It's been one of the better changes they've ever done.
