Regardless, I'm not worried about Arkane's future now that MS owns Zenimax / Bethesda. They should have a lot more stability to not worry about severe financial losses from taking risks now.
This is all not to say Deathloop is a perfect game, it's far from the 10/10 reviews it's been lauded with, but it's still a very fun Arkane game that does a lot right and is pretty unique in its concept and direction. I really enjoyed my time playing it at the very least, especially how stressful the Julianna invasions could get. Then again I found it easier playing Colt during those invasions than Julianna, as there were many times as Julianna where you could get instantly killed and have to search for another match which sucked, depending on what loadout you used.
It's just going to be like Prey, and Dishonored in that it's going to be seen years from now as an underappreciated cult classic game that tried to do something new and interesting and wasn't able to draw in an audience because most gamers have little interest in single player experiences like this anymore. It takes an Immersive-sim obsessed boomer like me that will play anything in this genre to make it successful and there's not enough people like me out there anymore.

Deathloop has something around 30+ hours of content if you do pretty much everything in every area until you get to the end where you set up the final "loop."
Not really comparable. I mean honestly who expected Deathloop to have even 20k players concurrently for months after its release? It's not that kind of game, and none of Arkane's games have ever been that successful.

Death of the Outsider 6,036
Prey was 24,594
Deathloop's is 20,050.
Seems pretty damn consistent to me. Arkane clearly has a stable fanbase of players playing their games (me) and we keep turning out to play whatever they offer up next. I bet Redfall will have similar numbers and we will see the same cycle continue where Ganker freaks out about the black characters and then claims that "Black person fatigue" won because it didn't sell as well as GTAV.
Not surprising at all, DotO wasn't a major release and is essentially DLC to Dishonored 2. They even re-used 1 of the levels just on a smaller scale and didn't even change that much it except making the level a bit smaller.
Then 2 of the levels are the same zone at different times of day.

All Arkane's games are good and have beautiful art direction. The one thing Arkane consistently nails is that, and the environments / level design. The art direction is some of the best in the business.
That said, I think Deathloop is a massive step down from Prey and Dishonored 2 in terms of level design.
