They die in end because rasiel/someone else stops sandbagging and is kjust straight up trying to kill them, but everyone is too soft because everything up to this point has been a game, so they pull their punches againts rasiel and they all die or have a lot of casualties. Nothing you do changes this. You have to go back now and do the edgy routes, amd snowgrave is noelles route to make her hard enough to get the "good" ending. Also things are retroactively changed so there's less dialogue of Kris being resistant to being an edge lord if youve gotten the ending where everyone dies already, because he knows why youre doing this.
The first one, because she's only now starting to become more and more of what she truly is, a monster full of hatred. She's quite the opposite of Susie, someone who was so closed to themselves thinking of herself as a bad guy now starts becoming friends with everyone.

Main boss will spend most of the time with Toriel, you will catch glimpses of them and Toriel will always be led away right before the boss sends someone or something out to attack you.
Toriel or Undyne will not be in the next chapter. The ending of the second is probably a red herring, Toby will not make Undertale characters major characters in this.
