dumbass the engine shader stutters, traversal stutters, and telemetry stutters regardless of devs. Publisher make the issue worse by rushing your game and giving it unrealistic expectations.
Developers can implement shader compilation on startup to eliminate that problem on PC. Not doing that is on them not caring about the PC experience, not the engine. Fortnite does it, unlike other titles though it doesn't have a progress bar but it compiles shaders so you just sit in the lobby for 15-20 minutes and it should be done. For indie developers without my programming experience there are plugins that implement this feature for a very low cost in the Unreal store, there literally is no excuse not to implement it.

yeah that's complete bullshit. Code of Conduct is for forums or for when you, for whatever reason, want to shill your game at Godot events. Work on your game and avoid the cancerous community, they can't force shit on your game.
Every game that comes out no matter if it uses Unreal or not performs like fricking shit so putting that argument forward barely matters anymore.
The biggest issue with Unreal games is the tonemapping (they STILL didn't fricking change this in 5 HOW) and the post-processing effects which are ASS.
This isn't much of a problem if developers knowingly use the engine and then actually give their game a visual style that isn't just "realism". Otherwise it looks like total shit with smeared vaseline on everything with performance that blows.
Hell, how many games have I played that are clearly just the default ShooterGame template with heavy modifications?
I refuse to buy or even pirate any UE5 game, I will not play copy paste jeetslop shader compilation slop. Writing your own engine is a good way to filter out who’s real and who’s a DEI poser, I will only support bespoke engine games going forward.
