>developer forces artist to drop their original soulful artstyle for mass market anime slop
>weaboos on Ganker will still tell you right is superior
>developer forces artist to drop their original soulful artstyle for mass market anime slop
>weaboos on Ganker will still tell you right is superior
right looks better
i like the drawing on the left.
seems like the right one is just a stylized/standardized almost generic design.
have to agree. the left, if that's an original artist draft, looks more original, soulful and actually interesting.
the one on the right could literally be any character drawn by any artist/studio
From my basic Japanese I could gather that left was drawn by the original character designer and then was "animefied" by a separate artist
It's not manga art, it's concept art for a "game" (not getting into the are visual novels games argument) character vs the final design
>unique artstyle
>generic anime shit
damn that sucks
Manga art won't 1:1 translate to anime dimwit
those rules are for moronic gays.
leave.
Why shouldn't it?
Animating=/=drawing and illustration
Animating is far more work and expensive, in a perfect word we would see incredible variety in animation techniques and art styles, but the reality is the companies that fund and make these animations have tools and systems in place to streamline and cheapen the process, and using difficult to animate styles and visuals would expand costs and they absolutely hate this. So youll get homogenized anime and cartoon visuals (calarts) for the sake of saving a buck.
Okay, so it's not that it WON'T translate, it's that the animation studios are too cheap and lazy to allow it. Maybe people should raise their standards and force the animation studios to raise theirs.
WRONG
left looks like shit
troon hands typed this post
your troon face also looks like shit
OP the contrarians fell for the trap, and can't even see that the anatomy on the right is garbage
post your mishappen body
something can't mishappen, that's not a word LMAO

It is, in fact, a homely and misshapen little gray airplane that looks like it was cobbled together in someone's garage.—

that's not the word you posted, anon-kun. learn to proofread LMAO
can't mishappen
>LMAO *beep boop*
i didn't say i win because of your spelling mistake... i just made a joke at your expense and you're getting mad for no reason ROFLMAO
this is how you make use of your day of rest?
what's your excuse?
I work in an hour and a half to do an opening for brunch. Also I hate homogenized artstyles.
yet you're still wasting your time here NOW, that's not an excuse LMAO
I start my planks and will juice after some Risk of Rain 2
no you won't, liar, you'll still be on Ganker
>you can't use two monitors and tab back in!
You type like a teenager.
If you are, leave this place, find a hobby and apply yourself to something worth while before its too late.
If youre not, well, enjoy your stay here forever.
Sorry anon, the average viewer is moronic. And my older age im realizing, younger people dont know any better since theyre force fed slop and dont dare dream of better standards, along with people just outright happy to gorge on any old trash to talk about it for a week and move on to the next topic/slop.
Companies are happy to provide the slop in the trough for them.
sorry I'm way too old to care about how I type. I'm 28
>I'm 28
Come back when you're older, baby boy. Ganker is 40+.
I'm 32 and i care for communication and speaking/typing like a human as well as i can, especially on subjects that are important to me.
You're still in your 20s and considering yourself old, you still got enough youth to focus on something. I truly implore you to find what you can for your sanity and peace of mind.
> i care for communication and speaking/typing like a human as well as i can
that's great, me too. but communication and tone are two different things
>You're still in your 20s and considering yourself old,
too old relative to caring about how I type
>I truly implore you to find what you can for your sanity and peace of mind.
don't worry, anon, I've got it!
>too old!
>too old!
Black person you're too old for half the homosexual shit you're doing, your glass house has so many shattered holes.
>another fat hole in his glass house
Well good then. We spoke of standards in this thread, i have a standard in communication and typing. Just as long as you got something to call you're own, that's all that matters.
Anyway. Sucks about cheap animation huh?
just because something is unique doesn't mean it's good
Right is much better.
right gays hate originality and actual beauty.
left has so many anatomical mistakes that can't be attributed to perspective/foreshortening and whatsoever.
Both of these are anime style, and both are better than the crap we get these days.
There’s a decent number of times this happened, but the most egregious one for me was New Little King’s Story on the Vita. I was looking forward to seeing the reimagining of the game, but when I saw the screens, all the charm of the original was gone and replaced with generic anime art to get mass market appeal. That’s when I first got stung by this phenomenon.
They butchered this game like you wouldn't believe
I’m glad someone else knows of this travesty. It’s sad that Cing’s dead and that we’ll never get a proper successor. The PC port is pretty bad from what I heard so you still have to play the Wii version
This was a travesty, and the people involved should be ashamed of themselves.
Not much you can do since anime won the culture war.
What's the game black man? Left's the superior choice yada yada.
Left has a manface. Right is feminine.
Left has a realistic face. Right is manga cliché.
it's the same shit
muh unique arstyle aside, the artist on the right is strictly superior. Better anatomy, proportions and all.
>inb4 but muh bug eyes
moron
my arms can't bend backwards like that
No arm is bent backwards there. The pose is the same except the hands are facing inwards because it's more natural that way.
those hand gestures and the lack of form showing any biceps to convey such a thing is bad anatomy. It looks like her left arm has a broken elbow and it's going the opposite direction.
The left subject clearly has a cubital fossa or 'crook', even if it's a subtle little shadow. Plus left artist has a concept of foreshortening, right has limbs that look leveled and at her side.
Also I like how right HAS to have her torso and pelvis facing the viewer, while her legs are in that pose, left has a body that acknowledges form and contour.
>strictly superior
L to the MAO
It's unironically a japanese thing.
that looks like a lack of calcium
Believe whatever ya want doc. I'm telling you, they're genetically built different.
>rice/calculator people suffer from malnutrition
I mean, at least they aren't fat walmart people like us.
Left looks like the slop sequels of long forgotten anime series we got around 2010
90% of anime are bottom of the barrel advertisements for source material. Most of the time the anime studio just takes some contract labor fees and that's it, not even interested in the anime's success beyond their own reputation with publishers, because they don't get a cut of the anime's gross.
>Amerilards are now so terminally moronic they don't get the meaning of "concept" in "concept art"
To nobody's surprise, sadly.
