In counter strike you can win rounds with 1HP easily. It matters jack shit who did the 99% of damage, all what matters is who drop the nade or shoot the dude through wooden box with glock.
Until somebody will make a game where enemy with 1% health deals only 1% of their damage output, finishing kills is the most important thing.
>Until somebody will make a game where enemy with 1% health deals only 1% of their damage output
That might be an interesting mechanic if it's got other supporting/similar gameplay features.

MechWarrior is the only IP I can think of off the top of my head where mauling someone and then ignoring them is a viable option, as there's a decent chance all or most of their weapons have been destroyed by then, but they still might take a long time to finish off. It's common in higher elo brackets to ignore stripped mechs while you have more dangerous, combat capable enemies stomping around.
. There are some mechs that make for great "zombies" because their center torso hitbox is relatively small compared to their side torso hitboxes. And if you're missing both of your side torsos (and thus your arms as well), you only have 1 or 2 small weapons at most.
Agreed. Confirming kills is one of the most important aspects of any competitive game involving violence. That guy is still a threat and letting him get away is almost never a good idea. Him dying and you getting an assist is always going to be better than you doing 99% damage and him getting away.

I've played a few games that give you "kill most damage" that don't require you to get the last hit to get kill credit, but that gets kinda wonky cuz sometimes the person landing the last hit doesn't even count as a kill for them in some games, and you get situations where one guy did 51% damage but most of it was ineffectual while the other guy actually kill confirms with 49% damage but then doesn't get credit for the kill, just the assist.
Someone at 0.01% HP can frick up your day and even win a round, stop being a b***h that thinks delivering work half done is praise worthy
Also pretty sure there are games that reward whoever deals the most damage instead who finished the guy, go play them
>break a man's legs and arms >Someone else comes along and stabs him in the heart with a knife >get changed with murder anyway
What kind of bullshit game is this? I didn't do nothing
What, gonna cry? Gonna piss your pants? Shit and cum maybe?
learn to get those last hits sucker
It's true though. You assisted with the kill.
I think your dog has autism.

MWO is very much that, like I was getting at in

The Total War games and Sengoku Rance have that since unit health = number of soldiers, so the lower it gets the fewer you have to actually fight.

What did he mean by this?
I remember a time when ADCs actually raged if supports took their kills because the gold you get from a kill is way higher than from an assist
they still do that shit now
I barely see it these days, not even "ks" is thrown around often anymore, now I only see it every 5-10 games or so
Where do you play? In my games a few months ago the mids and ADCs go into tard rage if the support doesn't apologize
EUNE, which is full of moronic monkeys
But I also play solo queue

What if the situation is that I'm about to kill the guy and a stray bullet from someone else kills him?
well thats just fricking life, deal with it instead of endlessly seething over lost points
So then you didn't kill him and someone else did. What, you want points for INTENT now, too? This is the zoomiest thing I've ever read.

>not 100%
lmao you fricking deserved it
get better aim moron
>assists count as your kills
any examples?
call of duty black ops 4 and cold war
isn't Overwatch like that?
Is Overwatch a game? I thought it was a set of models for porn
i heard it used to be, before the endless balance patches
This picture is a fake, dogs actually love cherry tomatos
