Working on the gruntwork currently, breeding and evolving, etc. The main things I am missing are some mythicals and Fancy Vivillon.
Also working on trying to do one via Go, because I hate myself. Here was progress from last month - filled out a few more such as the Skwovet and Rotom lines, and Zen Mode Darms since then.
Finished it last year (full living form dex, not counting gender differences that the dex doesn't list as different forms). Only one missing is the incarnate form of Enamorus because i'm too lazy to replay all of L;A and do the stupid Winds of Destruction hunt again, i'll just grab my second Enamorus in Scarlet/Violet.
The game doesn't count it so I can't be bothered keeping track either. Pyroar, Meowstic and Indeedee count though, so I made sure to grab them, and maybe i'll do it in the future but i'm not bothered about catching a goldeen with a slightly shorter horn or a torchic with a penis spot that can barely be seen.

Meltan, Melmetal and Furfrou (trims) are the only GO mon exclusive yes, but good luck with Furfrou since you can't catch him anymore (so you have to trade with people in GO if you want them to have your OT) + one form is event exclusive + a lot of them are region locked so you need to travel/fly to unlock them
Hoopa unbound for now just because bank doesn't accept it and no switch game has hoopa so you can't change forms. I managed to get most furfrou forms by trading rare vivillons on GTS. pharaoh and la reine are harder to get though.
False, in SM and USUM you can transfer unbound Hoopa to Bank and then to Home (kinda like sky form Shaymin in BdSp and PLA)
I got all my Furfrou via GTS by trading Miniors, Vivillions or Floettes. I could usually trade a shitmon for a Vivillion and trade up for everything with that sole pokemon

a great tip that helped me a lot: keep searching for enamorus on GTS regularly, 99% are hacked but people don't care and sometimes they ask for a easy pokemon to get, you can then use the enamorus to ask for basically any pokemon you want.
How does home do mega pokemon?
you cant have held items i assume they just mark that you have it for simply having the pokemon that can mega?
I think they register automatically if you have the respective pokemon, if not you have to register them on gen 7 pokedex, sync it with bank and send something to home to register there.
Unrelated but I might also be the only person in the world who has all 1304 shiny forms registered, since many of the are illegal due to not being released yet. I had to autistically hack a lot of these guys in. I wouldn't be surprised if some other chad on here has also done this though

living dex definition only really requires having every mon from 1-905, forms and gender differences are optional.
Not at all, gender differences are part of that. Besides, using the dex screen doesn't record what you have traded away.

They're bullshitting you, Hoopa reverts to confined form when moved into Home, but you can still register its form with a similar method.
Thats not true, I have both forms in home. I sent unbound from Bank, and the normal one from Go.

Manaphy is only available from a bug with the Ranger shiny lock, so it's technically not released, I believe
