I haven’t really been a fan of the game since a little bit before Jeff Kaplan left. The game was already being mismanaged very early on with the formation of the OWL and questionable balancing decisions.
I was tentatively interested in the “sequel,” but OW2 lost me the moment they announced they were shrinking the already small games to 5v5. I know for a fact that they did that primarily for the sake of matchmaking, and that’s just not good game design.
And my biggest gripe of all: I bought Overwatch for $40, not Overwatch 2. I got massively ripped off.

I thought they tried to cater to a bunch of grossly-overpaid "athletes", who whined about every potentially "unfair" interaction until eventually the game got sanded down into the soulless drudgery that was triple barrier?
Yeah, "balancing" was the big buzzword for most contentious updates. The game at its most fun was super messy and unbalanced in how players found fun ways to have broken or chaotic team dynamics. But patches kept grinding down what made different characters and their gameplay feel unique to avoid having any unfair standouts.
I unironically enjoyed OW1, and that period between it's final anniversary where they'd gotten rid of purchasing loot boxes and the end was peak OW. Who gives a shit if a game is "solved" if it was fun? I ended up dropping OW2 not even a whole month in. Removing a person from each team was fricking dumb, and they obviously have no idea how to balance around that.
I loved Overwatch 1 I played it on release and then almost every day for like two years.
Stopped playing Overwatch 2 after like two weeks.
At least we still got the porn.

I keep getting fricked by shitter characters that I used to be able to kill easily because he just can't keep up. You basically need to hit every headshot or you lose the damage race
