>buy game
>have drive issue, need to redownload title because forgot to make local backup of it
>you've been banned from GOG for asking why they bent the knee to the chinks too many times in the forums
>OOOPS
Do you?
>>you've been banned from GOG for asking why they bent the knee to the chinks too many times in the forums
you can still download them moron
Get yourself banned and prove it.
You don't own the download service, you own the games.
>But how will I get my games if I never download them???
That's not their problem, it's yours. It's your property you lost it be glad you don't have to set up the download yourself.
>>you've been banned from GOG for asking why they bent the knee to the chinks too many times in the forums
things that never happened
>buy game
>disc breaks and you didn't make a backup
>store doesn't give you a free replacement disc
This is essentially what you are saying.
>because forgot to make local backup
in all situations, you immediately forfeit your right to whine about shit past this point
>have thing
>lose thing
>y-you own nothing
ok moron
>using forums for anything but tech support
why do zoomers do this?
Yes
No, but neither do the devs or publishers
Some, but not as many as I would like. I don't even mind most DRM tbh, but the the whole "indefinite lease" legalese most stores do actually irks me.
I own yours.
Klaus pls
i live like 50km away from him lol
I'm so sorry
I'm not 😉
I own noting and I'm happy
Based gamepass users
Reminder that GOG is politically leftist
who cares? why arent right wing homosexuals starting their own DRM-free game store? is it because fiscal conservatism is inherently greedy, perhaps?
Right wing homosexuals are low IQ and couldn't possibly hope to do that.
Still better than Steam/Epic/Origin/Battlenet
have a nice day, Americ**ts.
Cope, it's proven that right wingers are low IQ morons.
You're a low IQ homosexual just like them.
Like I said, have a nice day, Americ**t.
Seethe chud
Do leftist exist in poland
Reminder that the best american is half a man as the gayest, tranniest polish person.
No, I don't. Don't particularly care either since games aren't worth keeping these days.
Most of them, at least the ones that aren't always online. Some of those too, but private servers are a bit harder.
I have 1700 games on Steam, 400 games on GOG, 80 games on uPlay and 40 games on Origin. 15-20 on Battle.net too.
>80 games on uPlay and 40 games on Origin. 15-20 on Battle.net too.
Because I have Ubisoft/EA and Blizzard/Activision games? If you use http://playnite.link who gives a shit. Forgot about my 250 games on the Epic Launcher (only one I paid for is Hitman 3)
>Because I have Ubisoft/EA and Blizzard/Activision games?
But what games do you have? Could you post a list?
I can understand if you have like less than 5, but 80 games on uPlay and 40 games on Origin? That seems a lot.
>If you use http://playnite.link who gives a shit.

you must be a hardcore outlier. mmo players i know all cant into fps and the wowgays dont have time for other games.
Probably, I play almost every genre except job simulator autism and puzzle games.
I bought Rayman 3 from GOG and it doesn't even launch despite turning on DirectPlay. Shit store.
Was thinking of rebuying Cuphead on GOG because I'm autistic and kind of hate how the DLC doesn't let you see the original title screen
Well stop thinking about it and don't do it you gay.
Yea. Physically.
Do you guys think that one day Valve is going to update their dll to be not so easily crackable?
At this point I don't think they care.
No, I think they do it solely as a legal ass covering.
steam_api is platform integration, not DRM.
They do update steamstub occasionally and support CEG
>Do you guys think that one day Valve is going to update their dll to be not so easily crackable?
I think that's part of the deal of making it easily reversible in the event of a Steam shutdown. They always said that measures were in place to remove the DRM in the event that Steam ceased to exist. They'll probably release a drag and drop universal crack themselves.
It literally says in the Steam EULA that you don't own the games you buy on Steam and that you Valve can revoke your access to them at any time. Valve isn't going to remove the DRM in all of your purchased steam games if Steam was shutting down since they have covered their ass already, Valve doesn't have to do anything. Also, they can't remove the DRM from other developers' games
Valve has repeatedly stated that measures are in place to remove their DRM in the event of a shutdown. Their legalese doesn't change what they've stated many, many times over the years. They can remove the Steamworks DRM which accounts for the vast majority of titles sold on there.
That was just a response when someone messaged Gabe's email, it isn't official and Valve wouldn't have put
in the EULA if they intended on removing the DRM. Valve have legally covered themselves and they don't have to remove the DRM. If you think Valve would take the time to remove the DRM you're delusional. They get nothing out of doing that.
I've literally asked them face to face as a developer and got the same response from five different people. If it's a talking point, it's company-wide across one of the most disorganized organizations on the planet so that'd surprise me.
Post a source to Valve's statement about their measures to remove the DRM if Steam shuts down
>Valve has repeatedly stated that measures are in place to remove their DRM in the event of a shutdown
Can you show us one of these statements?
They're not going to shut down, they're going to get bought. And whatever previous statements they've made won't matter. Tencent or Microsoft aren't going to honor some dubious pledge.
Valve isn't going to get bought any time soon. They're a private corporation for a reason.
How old is Gabe Newell?
60.
Yes
>never bought a game
>always play new releases with all expansions and microtransactions included
>no need to open a launcher
>no need to spyware DRM
>downloads cryptominer onto your computer to fund """her""" gender transition surgery
heh nothing personnel chud
You don't own gog games. It's nice to get an offline installer but that's not ownership. If you own something, you can sell it.
You can put games on a USB drive and sell them to people.
Used GOG games aren't on ebay or any other marketplace. You can't legitimately sell them.
>use my right to free speech
>money stolen
this is what steamies worship
.
What the frick did you expect, moron?
what's going on in pic related? i'm a blind moron
Yes I do.
>CMOS battery inside your shitty consoles die
I'd rather be a slave of DRM than a slave to hardware. You're fricked. At least I can download a crack.
I'd rather you suck my wiener you poorgay cuck.
I'm this anon
you really think I'm poor? kek enjoy your paperweights
ive gotten every game i want thats available on gog off of gog-games and have never given them a penny.
what should i download from gog? games that are less than 5 years old only please. No boomer shit.
DOS2 is fun, but large and pricy - like 60gb and 60usd or something
Crosscode is a great game
kek anyone thinking they own anything
DRM-free is the best you'll get but it ain't ownership
