I hate my dumb fricking pawn so much bros his sole job is to fire arrows at goblin, harpies and the occasional bandit but he keeps going full melee and grappling big monsters INSTEAD OF STAYING THE FRICK BACK AND SHOOTING ARROWS
Worse still is that he's picked up jumping all over the place and recently started to follow me like a shadow
I wanr to frick a pawn
go to the pawn brothel or just grab one from the rift and go to town with it
'tis weak to anal!
That's what pawns are for.
Now that I think about it, is there a single other arisen besides Ashe and potentially the player that has a pawn of the opposite sex?
we only know about 4 other main pawns in total anyway right?
There's Ashe, Sofia, the Dragonforged, and Savan.
Oh, also there's the pawns in the everfall, they mention their masters and use gendered terms. Though it can be a bit iffy when those are translated from japanese so who knows how trustworthy it is.
Looking at all the npc pawns with dialogue on the wiki, Johnathan says "mistress," Rochelle says "master," Faircrest says "master," and Quince says "mistress."
Also I hadn't noticed Quince was one of the pawns that helps Savan when you touch the rifstone, neat. I don't usually bother getting them any more so I haven't seen her in a while..
There's also Grette. Of the five arisen whose main pawns we know about, four are the same sex. And the fifth re-used the pawn of one of the other four and wound up cursing himself and his world in large part because of that.
Kinda hate how this hasn't spawned multiple doujin works, but maybe that will change in the future.
You have no idea how disappointed I was when the game first came out that the pawns could not be romanced.
you want the pioneer inclination.
Ever thought about not giving him a dagger
>climbing bad
Wrong! Your pawn is climbing to distract the monsters and weigh them down while you can get in free hits.
That doesn’t work idiots.
Who the frick thought this was a good idea? What's the point of having companions that are programmed do the same thing as the PC? Nips are fricking moronic.
It's literally a myth, it's just that pawns are so moronic that their AI seems more mysterious than they really are.
It's a placebo bro, they're talking out of their ass.
They don't. There are things like grappling enemies increasing utilitarian which itself makes pawns more likely to grapple. And your pawn can end up prioritizing the same sort of enemies as you do due to increasing their scather, challenger, and/or mitigator inclination. But the only way in which climbing on enemies as a strider will make your sorcerer pawn any more likely to climb is that you might make them a scather, resulting in them spending more time fighting climbable enemies and having the option to climb. But then that can also happen with you playing as a sorcerer if you prioritize shooting at those same types of enemies.
>scather, resulting in them spending more time fighting climbable enemies and having the option to climb
Exactly but idiots think Scather = climb when it’s really not that simple.
I love golems
>get blinded
>shout help for 2 minutes while my Black person magician pawn buffs allies and heals them
let's hope 2's pawns are smarter.
Try not to equip dagger as many dagger skills if you want to your pawn to use bow stuff. Also certain augments like those that increase health or defense tend to incline pawns to be closer to the enemy which may result in more dagger usage. Other anons have pointed it out but inclinations can help as well. Your pawn jumping is related to their inclination as well as your own habits.
Pawns are always moronic at the start but they're your moron that you can make better.
bro is that ganondorf? where'd you get him?
So buy inclination potions or sit him down in the pawn training chair
dragons dogma is empty it sucks and every weapon is boring shit
>b-but muh 10 enemies in whole game
ok Black person
since i can't see where the edit post button is i forgot to mention that i'm trans btw
The right Inclinations and Augments can encourage the Pawn AI to use the bow more often, but in my experiences the AI is in general just pretty resistant to using bows.
Strider/Ranger Pawns are not useful in my opinion because of this. I hope they improve this in DD2
>strider pawns
>not useful
It's the class the AI is best at controlling, and arguably the best class in the game as well
Show us his augments. Augments influence how pawns act too.
removed pretty much everything non-bow related
He hit max ranger lvl and I've only set him up with 2 perks for the bow and none for the daggers but he can't aim for shit for some reason
You could give him augments that give stamina use, to stimulate him to use bow skills, I think strider has a bow-related augment you can get as well. If you REALLY want him to stay out of melee you could try to remove his melee weapon and not give him dagger skills.
Overall I think it's inevitable for pawns to try climb big enemies ocasionally, even my sorc pawn does it ocasionally. I think it basically means they are trying to exploit a weakness. As far as I know the idea that they copy how you play is a myth and placebo, their AI isn't THAT complex.
it does copy you tho, if you jump around during fights they will jump around too
I think they jump around to cancel spells/avoid attacks, not to imitate the player.
The Ranger's bow deals reduced damage at short range, so if the pawns find themselves in that situation it probably leads them to use the daggers instead. Pawns seem to know how to close the distance, but not how to keep it, which is why you will have sorcerer pawns trying to cast right High Maelstrom right beside a dragon as well, only to get knocked out before their animation ends.
Fricking try it yourself, I switched from fighter to warrior and had to jump around to avoid damage and cancel animations (+ my character is a dwarf so I sometimes need to jump for head shots) and my character started imitating me when he went for melee fights
The way pawn AI works is a combination of inclinations and bestiary knowledge. Bestiary knowledge unlocks “attack strategies” when the player performs actions that are pre-coded as effective in a fight. If jumping for the iframes (DD has jump iframes, right?) when an enemy attacks is part of the bestiary knowledge, then “jump at hitbox warning flag” gets added to the table of pawn behaviors that can be rolled.
>a combination of inclinations and bestiary knowledge
skill rings and augments too
Do they though? I can’t find any indication of this. I mean obviously a pawn will only use abilities it has, and it wouldn’t be terribly hard for ring skills to be given higher roll values than other skills (and presumably all upgraded skills get higher roll values in the AI random table than base skills). I haven’t heard that augments do shit, unless there are AI behavior patterns that augment-check.
Supposedly things like putting eminence on strider pawns to get them to jump before splittering works. I've never personally tested it, but the strider pawns in
do both jump beforehand so perhaps that's why.
>Range Tables
Yeah, that makes sense for Ranger pawns I guess. Still annoying as frick, especially in the sorcerer case you bring up. I just hate that the artillery jobs aren't hard coded to camp the backline and drop ICBMs from another country away like they're supposed to.
If only that pawn chair was more
>"Hey Arisen, should I stay the frick in combats back or do you want me to be your body guard",
>"Arisen do you want me to use my sword or my bow?"
>"Arisen, do you want me to climb monsters or not"
>arisen, does my ass look fat
Maybe I will try to play sorcerer for a while to see if I can teach mine to be less stupid. I will sacrifice my Arisen's stats for science.
Try changing the inclination to challenger or pioneer. If his inclination is scather he will always try to climb. Also try using more bow focused augments like Trajectory and Precision to encourage your pawn to use ranged attacks more often. It'll never be perfect though, pawns are a bunch of aughtists
Also post pawns
I'm OP, this is my dumbass pawn
Saw a pawn that was using her bow really well then noticed her owner was a magic archer and she in turn learned from him
I'm a warrior, so he's learning from me using melee?
Things you can do:
>stack ranged augments for it to prioritize shooting
>inclination potions to change its priority which may not be the issue here as challenger is fine
>ripping the daggers off the pawn directly which I have seen done with ranger pawns so they’re forced to shoot
Note that bestiary knowledge still matters for ranger pawns so they know what to shoot. I hired a random one once (haven’t run a ranger pawn as my main pawn hopefully somebody who did can explain better if I didn’t) where the pawn learned mid fight it could shoot a drake’s wings. I’ve also heard it applying for other stuff like metal golem talismans, but I can’t remember if it happened to me.
Could be picking up your melee habits. I've had to swap to ranger a few times to show my pawn to use her bow skills more
won't they eventually pick up your melee habits?
I really don't know if that's real or not, could be some placebo. I do know that using skills of the same vocation as your pawn teaches them to use those more often
Did you give him bow augments and ranged inclinations like Challenger while avoiding melee inclinations like Scather?
No?
Then it's your fault your pawn is a moron.
All of these are wrong. Unequipping skills or primary weapons doesn't make your pawn less likely to use melee attacks or your secondary weapon's skills. Pawn's AI is determined by inclinations and equipped augments. If your pawn decides they want to use melee attacks, they'll start using their daggers even if no skills are equipped. If no daggers are equipped, they'll start punching things. Similarly if they decide they want to use their bow, they'll use their bow regardless of how many bow skills they have equipped. That said, you can unequip their bow to make them use daggers more often, though that's not recommended since you're removing flexibility and you could use augments and inclinations to encourage dagger use instead.
You can abuse this to make pawns more likely to use specific skills. For example, it's generally advised to unequip all shield skills on fighter pawns. For starters, they make terrible use of shield skills and they aren't very effective with them. Furthermore, pawns are perfect at timing blocks, so if their AI is telling them "it's time to use your shield" and they have no shield skills equipped, they will just royal guard every single thing they possibly can. Similarly, you might see ranger pawns that only have Tenfold Flurry and maybe Deadly Arrow, since those are the only longbow skills pawns make good use of.
If you want your pawn to use their bow more, equip augments that affect their bow (even if they wouldn't do anything substantial, like damping). If you want them to climb more, equip climbing-focused augments. If you want them to be in melee more, equip defense and strength boosting augments like Bastion. If you want them to use jumping attacks more, use Eminence. Etc.
>I'm a warrior, so he's learning from me using melee?
Yes. I don't know why Black folk in here didn't tell you but if you want your pawn to learn you need to teach.
You can infinitely switch vocations after all.
Teach. Also take away the daggers and he can't use them, simple as.
This doesn't work. The Black person-brained pawn AI loves to close distance to enemies literally no matter what, so when he gets there and has no daggers he'll just start using fists and being even less effective than if he had real damage equipped.
the idea of players teaching pawns is placebo. all that happens is adjusting their inclinations based on things that you do. not only the top two inclinations matter
how the frick do I see which are the major inclinations apart from the top 3
My Pawn is Challenger/Mitigator + Guardian as third (used the help command a little too much when faced against ogres + I run out of stam pretty easily)
How do I brainwash my fricking idiot pawn into being a good boy
Use a neutralizing elixir. Leave them blank and see how they behave. Make sure you actually participate in combat and not just sit and watch because they will also sit and watch.
Only way is to use tools that can look at that stuff directly like dinput8.dll. All you can do otherwise is look for certain tells (pawn carrying means Nexus or possibly Medicant are above 500). Also if Utilitarian isn't primary, secondary, or tertiary, it's probably in the dumpster because it's set to decay faster than most people can raise it. Likewise Pioneer is hard to affect meaningfully unless you're using Go! out of combat after every loading screen.
>Guardian as third (used the help command a little too much when faced against ogres + I run out of stam pretty easily)
Running out of stamina doesn't increase Guardian. It actually affects a secret value called Ex_Skill_Use; Ex is probably short for Exhaustion. Nobody knows what it does, but it's there!
they use the "Help" command in response to running out of stamina because if the pawn picks you up you aren't out of breath as long
Ah, sorry. I wasn't familiar with that particular use of Help.
well to be fair most people carry around some type of mushrooms so they don't have to get their pawns to pick them up, so I probably should have let
know about that
gotta wait for grace period
https://ddda.lennardf1989.com/
FACK ME, 1584 is at its grace period!! This is the literal one I shot a maker’s literal finger at.
Does this mean when I get home from work in 5 hours I can kill the wienersucker or what?
nope. grace lasts for around an hour and if you missed it, you missed it
you should still get some rewards next time you enter the chamber, but not as much
PC
Steam
Camilla would you please shut the doooooooooor
> Magic dagger.
Ohhh, so close, but no, that's an instant deal breaker with pawns, sorry. Looks cool though.
unless there's already a pair of sapfire daggers in your party they're better than the framae blades
The sad part is you actually believe this. Have you even bothered to account for resistances? Obviously no. If you want to verify this for yourself, there is a damage log you can access. The easy way is with dinput hooks.
time-out chair, dumbass
lrn2ddda
Make sure you don't have scather as an inclination. Scather makes them climb shit, so if you don't want that, avoid it. Also you can always just not give the pawn daggers.
that fricking DLC along with coomers creating second life-tier characters trashed that whole pawn system HARD
here's your adventurers bros
>best outfit is a princess dress and a clown hat
It's like they saw the memes about dressing like a moron for higher stats and decided to do it on purpose.
The stats are good for a low level character, but you have to keep in mind that it takes up every armor/clothing slot. You can replace it with better gear within around 4-5 hours of gameplay.
It's simply a noob trap
The real outfit if you're a minmax Black person like me is the blue DLC armor
kek, for me it was a boulder trap
Put port crystals where you need to escort people
the frick you smoking? like once you understand abilities, inclinations, and how to use the tabs while looking at pawns its pretty damn easy to navagate. for instance that princess pawn goes right into the brine.
A good third of female pawn all wear that fricking princess outfit, you can't filter that out
Made sure not to put that on mine, just so she would stand out better, shit is so played out
>level 100+
>still see it
>exit rift without even hiring another pawn and give up for a bit
Post pawns.
Someone take my sweet Colette for a walk!
>PC
Real puntable, like a lalafel of somesorts
Take her out and put your foot into her little tummy then
Hired. Might take a stroll through BBI.
Thanks bro! Need those RC
I used to dress my pawn more modestly but then Bitterblack Isle hit and I really needed rift crystals so I used the bawdgear in hopes of more hits. Her inclinations are set to Challenger/Utilitarian. If anyone has lv60-90 pawns available, I can try taking them through Bitterblack Isle as well.
i think i remember grabbing this pawn at some point, but it was in spite of the outfit and only after spending an age trying to find another sorcerer with inclinations and spells i wanted.
Finding sorcerers has been painful. There are so many guardian sorcerers out there.
If anyone can take her for a spin, i'd be greateful
>PC/Steam
3 Affinities is kind of overkill. If you slap on High Levin and High Fulmination, I can try taking her through BBI.
Sorry for the late reply, but done.
I do believe she's quite a bit better now.
I'm trying to not level up much but still do.
How are you wearing two capes?
I have no idea on whether to change her vocation to Sorcerer. It's my first time spending more than a few hours on the game, but I have to say I've gotten really hooked this time.
TY to the anon who took her out last thread. She's still available at 87 for anyone else to take along.
Been using them since the last thread. Pretty good support pawn. I took them to fight some dragonkin and killed a hydra. I'll probably send them back later tonight.
How important is gear? Are you fine just wearing anything as long as you have the best weapon you can use?
Holy shit what a qt
I would mostly answer yes to that.
The most useful things armor can do for you are stack status resistance or let you carry more weight in the case of BBI level 3 leg armor. If you don't care for those two points, there's really no reason to minmax with top level armor.
Also, hired.
Tier 3 red and yellow class armor is also incredibly ugly. It's as if they encouraged you to go for fashion instead
goldforging equalizes most armor. BBI3 armor can get special effects tho.
Hired, though she could do with an affinity
I've always just summoned a mage for buffs+healing. Do people normally just bring a sorcerer for weapon buffs then heal with items?
Yes
Eventually, yeah. There reaches a point when anodyne is really slow and I'd rather just give my pawns some spring water.
Early game a mage is probably better, later on I much prefer sorc damage to the occasional anodyne
turned Valentine serial stabber. Didn't want her level to be that high but I forgot about the absurd exp boost they get if you outlevel them
dammit she leveled up again. my bad
No wonder I couldn't find her, will hire in 2 weeks.
Put her on Holy duty for my run.
One less Daimon in the world thanks to her efforts.
I'm on PS4 (lol) and I just rested. Want a reddie? My girl is for you. I'm gaining levels every day, so if you need my ID, it's soup-erb.
Stats for nerds:
https://pastebin.com/raw/xHesM1iK
New player on PS4. Freshly rested, level 41 now.
Dunno how much RC you got and I don't have much good shit to give, got her updated in my party though. You should've gotten a liquid vim I think
No real complaints, she does general sorcerer things
Cheers, good to hear she's decent.
>Two Chads and a Stacy
Grigori's doesn't stand a chance.
ME AND MICHAEL
why nobody summons him? 🙁
>il
I already have one big moron following me around all the time. I only hire cute grills.
You both look like you kill small defenseless animals.
Oh no, you know about the rabbits
>why nobody summons him?
post steam profile and I will
hire goblina pls
PC
I'm cumming for you.
Hired. Greenskins are the bestskins.
One less Daimon in the world with the help of these two prawns.
finally dumped the bbi gear my arisen was collecting onto my prawn and leveled her a little
ty again anons who hired her, sorry if she's too expensive for some of you now
I still need to find more fashionable armor for her frame.
hips
steam
finally fixed her inclinations in honor of this thread
Peko-chan is learning...please take her out <3
What skills and inclinations does she have?
Remove the daggers
Don't forget to quit to Main Menu and reload if your pawn AI acts wonky.
It's 100% a thing that they sometimes bug out and don't do things unless you reload.
Take away the pawn's melee weapon, dumbass.
How can I teach my pawn to seduce men for gold
don't spam "help", sounds like your pawn picked up guardian which is the worst inclination out there but you can pix it.
>Get bored
>Take my overlevelled ass to base Gransys
>Blood knuckles, cursed king's belt + barbed nails for stagger, cloak for style
>Naked otherwise
>Pawn has rusty daggers, harpy cloak and apollo mask for style
>Go around punching everything to death half naked
This is how the game was meant to be played
I did the same but tried making Jiub as my pawn
You can use the incognito hood to simulate a luchador mask
It's called DORAGONSU DOGUMA you baka.
>Hood of Shadow x14
>Carrion Veil x2
>Close purification summary?
so what’s in the tiny hole at the shadow fort, didn’t make a tiny character or pawn
shortcuts to the big hole, nothing interesting
I wish that in Dragon's Dogma 2 they keep the dumb AI, but you could focus more on the exact type of acceptable moronicness
SEX 'EM, BOYS
damn, one of you just single-handedly doubled my RCs. thanks
What's your pawn?
finally beat the whole game+BBI and started dragonforging her stuff. will probably keep going until lvl 200
They say lvl 200 doesn't get hired.
they don't get hired by randoms online because the amount of pawns of that level is so bloated (and the search might even be bugged), but I dunno if it's gonna be a problem for anons that might want to hire her
if people aren't able find her I can just edit her level down with dinput8
Never used that thing, does dinput get you banned?
you have to make sure you edit the stats properly using a tool like https://stackoverflow.github.io/dragons-dogma-stat-planner/ to make sure your pawn is legal. otherwise, they won't show up for other players online (I don't know if you get banned or anything like that). you can backup your savefile before messing with it just in case you frick something up
Only if the pawns stats are obviously broken or unreasonable. With some effort you can make a desirable pawn that is legit with dinput8
dinput8 literally has a respec function in the stats tab that can create legal stat arrangements for you and for your pawn at any level total. I use it all the time to level or delevel my pawn or respec them for other jobs.
picrel. Just play with the sliders to get a stat balance you want. Or go full moron 11-200 single-job if you want idc. Only make sure the slider total level is the same as your current level and you will not get banned.
>Using dinput8
You didn't beat the game.
>not using dinput8
You didn't have fun playing the game
So I'm a brainlet, did Seneschal just give up on being God or something on purpose just so someone could kill (free) him? What was the trigger to make Grigori appear?
>Seneschal just give up on being God or something on purpose just so someone could kill (free) him?
God runs on batteries here, every once in a while a replacement is needed.
>What was the trigger to make Grigori appear?
Could be that the Seneschal just sent him in a mission again, because the previous Arisen, Edmund, failed the test and choose power over the dragon test.
Thanks anon, so he noticed that his "batteries were running out" and sent in Grigori on a mission to find a worthy sucessor. Things make more sense now, but I wonder who's this world's God now that I've fricking killed myself lol
That's open to interpretation. IMO, either the world withers and dies or, well, life finds a way. Maybe now they won't be stuck in medieval ages for millennia.
Feeling in a good mood today, so I'm gonna toss you the most optimistic interpretation I know of.
First, note that the Seneschal explains the driving force behind the world is Will. He repeatedly expresses the strongest form of Will to be the Will to Survive or the Will to Live (which is consistent with Schopenhauer's Wille zum Leben).
Second, note that the loading screen text after you use the Godsbane to end the game stresses the odd sense of pride you feel about ending your own tale with the first action that was entirely of your own making and not simply a response to what others throw at you. Further note that Grigori's parting words to you also enforce that your life is entirely your own and "yours to live or throw away as you see fit". This is all quite consistent with Nietzsche's Wille zur Macht (Will to Power) which places the emphasis on self-determination.
From these two notes, I propose that through your final act you "create" a Will that surpasses the Will to Survive that the previous Seneschal provided to the world. Through your sacrifice, you bring forth a world driven forward purely through your Will to create a world free of the cycle for your (humanized) pawn and your friends to live (note also Selene's dialog if she's the one that meets your pawn at the beach).
This also works on multiple layers. This interpretation is that you create a world driven by God's Love (your love for your friends and your pawn) as seen in Christianity and one in which God is dead as seen in the famous Nietzsche quote.
The catch to this interpretation is of course that YOU don't get to live in this world freed from the Cycle. You just got reborn in a parallel world still caught in the cycle if you play New Game Plus. But, as Olra notes in BBI, your decision to destroy your body did still prove to be a path of progress for your spirit.
Killing yourself is literally the final step to turn into the seneschal, Savan did the same.
You kill your mortal body and leave your spirit up there, in NG+ you fight yourself if you are offline.
I wonder if we'll finally break the cycle next game or if it'll just be another loop.
>post-game shadow fort with 2 gorecyclopes
>pawn just mounts the ballista with blast arrows and starts shooting non-stop while me and 2 hired pawns go down to smack em
You learned well, my child
I thought the servers got shut down and the pawn system was gone
I'm having fun with this game but the plot is a real crap, kek
HOW DO I GET THE SPECIAL REWARDS FROM ONLINE UR-DRAGON PLS HELP
Just switched to magick archer
Even with a fire buff, it takes like 10 hits to kill a snow harpy while my mage pawn just kills it instantly by casting Ingle
I'm using the bow from the Black Cat that heals you over time, upgraded once
Should I just not expect default attacks to do frick-all?
early-game your leveling stats tend to matter more, and since you likely played as a non-magick class your magick damage is probably too low. further into the game that won't be the case since equipment stats start mattering way more. I'm not too familiar with magick archer though
Yeah I think I fell victim to the damage reduction meme, one levelup and I'm doing 3x as much damage to them
black cat weapons are shit unless they have a gimmick for damage attached to them. Even then they get quite quickly outclassed
What about the bow that gives double XP
You can if you want. Fournival sells veteran periapts with some affinity greasing if you really need 2x exp. You would only want it for large mobs or bosses anyway and on a periapt you aren’t locked to ranger.
>Even then they get quite quickly outclassed
Caged fury is literally the best archistaff in the game. You're not supposed to get hit as sorcerer anyway
>You're not supposed to get hit
So when you get hit do you just shout "nuh uh you can't do that!" at the screen?
no, you just go 'oops', use a couple harpsud sauce, jump away and cast high miasma once to get back to full charge and then don't be dumb enough to stand in the way of an attack next time
I eat a stamina shroom and use a spell that quickly fills up the buff again. There's literally no reason to ever use sanguine stalk over caged fury
Is DDDA the first strand game?
No, that would be Demon's Souls
embrace it, make him a strider
then make yourself a strider
then hire two more striders
O! How I have seen the Dragon's Dogma!
My hope is to dragonforge some of her stuff soon
Hired. Will be going through BBI and may or may not kill daimon with her
FRICK Hellhounds.
I always have problems with them. Always. Except now that I am playing MA for the first time. Sixfold makes them a piece of cake. There aren't enough ice spells in the game and god damnit I wish there were water spells!
>"oh i get it, i just need to not use fire against them"
>no
>they can breathe fire on each other
>they can set themselves on fire
>head into Everfall
>two gorechimeras and a lich
>lich keeps respawning Hellhounds while floating out of my reach
Infuriating. I've been dragged around a dozen times.
>not just setting yourself on fire and leaping onto one of the chimeras to burn them to death
Anon, you're not playing MA are you?
I just switched to MK.
>play MA
>delet
Nothin purseonel
YES
>Purifying BBI gear
>Only get warhammers/longswords and maces for red vocation weapons
>Want to play fighter
>Can't because my shitty Eden's Warden doesn't damage anything
aaaaaaah
Kill offline Ur Dragon for Ascalon and upgrade it.
It's really funny to watch my friend play this because they're strider and their pawn is mage and all it does is reaffirm my belief that pawns do actually learn how to play if you're the same class as them because my old mage pawn was a killing machine by BBI even with legion's might
I'm a proud parent :3
>invalid data
U wot?
Don't know about that but that happens sometime. Maybe someones steam account is deleted.
Started my first playthrough last thread. Job the Magick Archer with his faithful companion Gawain the moronic warrior. Enjoying myself so far. Lost an hour due to poor save management.
You probably have that defense up augment on. For some reason it tells pawns to go melee.
Make it challenger/mitigator.
Holy affinity is the way to go, right? I have fire and holy on my pawn for the moment but I imagine late game you mostly just want holy
holy is strong against the two bosses that people farm the most
for me it's like this: Fire for Pre-Dragon, Holy for Post-Dragon, Ice for BBI
Holy is great against undead, which post-Dragon and BBI is full of, but the problem is that it doesn't really do anything to non-undeads, since it doesn't have a secondary effect. And 1-2 bosses are strong against it, 1-2 weak.
So just have something else with it, preferably lightning or ice. Fire is strong at the start, but later on there's some very irritating enemies that are basically immune to it.
un-equip the daggers you dumb frick
that doesnt work you dumb frick
The real Dragon's Dogma endgame is training new players' pawns.
This. I've been doin BBI runs for the past two weeks just to help out anon's pawns
Thank you
The hardest part of this game by FAR is trying to balance out Fashion's Dogma and decent stats
anyone have that image with the classes with the funny pictures attached? It had the baseball player for the fighter and the black guy from star trek as the sorcerer
>started Mercede’s escort mission
>10 steps out of gran soren and she and her knight squad get killed by a griffin
>quest failed
what a dumb she-goat
Skill issue
Man the main story in this game is just all over the goddamn place, feels mega rushed on every single step
Did you ever hear the tragedy of Dragon's Dogma cut content https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3G5o3KhXv6w
Post your pawns, if they're under 90 and I'll take them for a walk.
OP here
Please take Callon for a walk and see that he stops jumping during combats
Once I get that mind wiping elixir I'll level up strider or ranger with him
What level, vocation and platform?
PC
Strider
Around 40
can't be arsed to go back home and launch the game, sorry lad
>new game (fourth time)
>trying to do every single quests
>getting overpowered, combats is easy especially since I play Berserker class
>getting burned out of the game
>haven't met the duke yet
Probably gonna drop it and do another playthrough next year, maybe then I won't do it again
The base game is not hard, don't expect anything like that, just take it as a fun adventure.
It gets harder.... later.
Is the plot of NG+ that your pawn has to confront his old Arisen?
The Seneshal will be your original arisen in ng+ yes
I want a change of pace and am taking the good samaritan pill.
If on steam, post pawns w/relevant hiring data and I will gift lvl3 cursed gear and daimon 2 runs.
I'm starting to get filtered. I ran into this room with corrupted pawns in BBI and I'm getting my shit wrecked.
Any general tips for proceeding deeper into BBI? I'm playing magic knight.
You always get tips about fleeing in fear in loading screens and pawn chatter. Use those tips. Just run past any homosexual
What's the deal with the ur dragon? Why are you guys always camping him?
He's a b***h a deserves all the bullying
wait a minute. If I start a NG+ does that mean I lose my pawn?
Started forgoing stats a little to go full Fashion's Dogma. Should still be level 95 or 96, haven't rested for a bit and currently running round BBI. It'll probably be 20 minutes or so till I rest and update
Just rested, but she's level 99 now. Thanks Condemned Gorecyclops
100 now. Probably won't be doing anymore leveling until tomorrow so this should be her static level
I never understood the gear meme
I never found even ONE piece of equipment in the main game that's better than the shit the vendors sell
I rerolled probably 30-40 times on a damn chest at the temple to get the royal surcoat. worth it. shits fire.
>have rough day at work
>come back and boot up the game, rest
>pawn usually doesn't get hired too much
>get a million in Rift Dosh from like 13 different people alongside some BBI 3 weapons and gear from anons
I fricking love you people, I mean it. Now that I'm at a more appropriate level I'll be sure to share the wealth.
Spring water is the best
>take 5 minutes to fill up a bunch of flasks
>or take one second to buy 100 greenwarishes
>>take 5 minutes to fill up a bunch of flasks
you thought
I don't get it
for the better I say. it's the cheat button.
I'm always filling up 900 bottles, spring water is good when hiring low level pawns or just in case of a frick up
I bet it tastes delicious.
Like baha blast Mountain Dew.
>load up on easily 1000+ spring water over the course of my first playthrough
Don't have the patience to do it again. I just wish you could override the pawn mentality to not bottle after 10 spring water. Sure you can juggle it by just making one pawn hold all the spring water, but eventually he gets overencumbered.
STOP BUYING THE DAMN GAME
I CANT HIRE EVERY NEW PAWN AT ONCE
SLOW IT DOWN OKAY
STOP BUYING THE DAMN GAME
SERVERS CAN'T HANDLE ALL NEW PAWNS
Post your lvl 200 pawns for me and the other 3 people that can hire them.
But it's 4 of us

Is this what it means to fly into free?
Won't it reset you in 30 seconds
The wind just pushed you man
Post your total DD playtime (or guess it if you've played across multiple versions/platforms)
>550 hours
I'm guessing the low several 100s, maybe 200 or so. Current on about 80 on Steam and I played it a metric ton way back in 2016 on PS3, but I deleted my saves twice to make new characters
1,016 hours on my main account.
And 188 combined on my alts.
~2.5k hours on PS3 counting both main and alt account. My current PS4 playthrough is sitting at 188 hours.
And here i thought I was the crazy one...
The official pawn community - the website hosted by Capcom themselves that was finally taken down earlier this year -, had a dude with an 8k hour playtime (last I looked, years and years ago, while I still played on PS3). Up until the very end he and a handful of others were keeping the site alive, with new pictures uploaded daily - I checked in from time to time. DD is just that kinda game, I suppose.
>8k hours
Do you think he saw the dragon's dogma?
I'm sure he beat grirgori with a sword at least once.
Every single of day of his life, I'm sure.
he certainly felt the wind pushing him
It was probably carved into is his corneas after 8k hours. Slowly, but steadily at a whopping 25fps with significant drops during the really magical moments. It's weird to me that the game even managed to run on the ps3/360 but I am also used to playing it on PC at max. It definitely worked enough though because I played through all of it multiples myself on ps3 and more when BBI was out. I'm on a 2nd run main game and 1st run BBI on PC now.
got 416 on pc and probably another hundred or so more on ps3
>Sorcerers go from some of the lowest health gains from 10-100 to one of the highest at 100+
What
It's worth learning the ins and outs of pawn AI to turn them into killing machines.
>3 strider pawns
That's basically cheating.
You're god damn right. They demolish literally anything you put in front of them, including stunlocking Daimon's second phase to death. To be fair, using the right inclinations, skills, and augments, you can make most of the other vocations do the same thing. Here are 3 mage/sorc pawns I taught to spam HFB just like sweaty tryhard human players.
Did you only give them holy affinity?
Rangers are also capable of locking shit down at will.
Yes, and it took literally forever to find two pawns on the rift with the same loadout and proper augs.
Pawns copying you is vastly overstated. My pawn functions as I intend her to despite whatever vocation I'm playing.
I've seen people say that dodge roll is bad on pawns and that, like magick agent, you shouldn't get it on them. The logic is always that they "dodge just fine" without it and so it wastes time. Setting aside whether or not they really do dodge fine without it, looking at this, the dodge roll is what put them at enough range to go into bow mode and set up their machinegun battery. And you can even see that your main pawn who didn't get as far away with the dodge wound up getting pulled back in to melee. So the extra distance created by the roll seems to be pretty beneficial, at least for rangers.
Basically, every vocation is capable of turning anything on screen into minced meat. That is, every vocation bar warriors. Great vocation for Arisens, lemme tell ya, but man do warrior pawns suck balls. Still, they do got the best augment so it's worth learning for pawns.
Yes, pawns aren't great about using most core skills but the dagger roll is good for them. They're great at rolling out of danger and creating distance.
What is it about Warrior pawns? Are they best without charge up skills? Do they actually use Exodus Slash well?
Not that anon, but they are absolute trash at charge skills. They can't even get the relatively short charging lashes right. They do know how to use exodus slash. Really, any of the non-charge skills are fine, although they can be kind of shit at aiming the lunge. Warriors just don't have anything as busted as 10fold, splitter, maw, or hfb since there's no way to force them to do nothing but spam jump attacks.
What if you gave them only the spin attack
Dodge Roll is great on pawns. Similar to fighter pawns they'll always dodge attacks if they can while it's equipped. In fact they'll even use it to try and avoid Daimon's vacuum succ attack, though they usually end up getting pulled in when they run out of stamina anyway. The only core skill that's generally bad on pawns is magick agent. The rest are fine, though you might want to avoid.
If you see people saying you shouldn't pick up forward roll for pawns, they're probably old posts from pre-Dark Arisen when the forward roll was slow and had no iframes.
You can turn off the subs for pawn chatter. They'll still keep talking but you get less clutter on your screen.
> buy bottle 19G
> fill it with spring water
> worth 80G
easy.
Pawns fill them too. They only do it until they have 10 spring waters, though.
I made two more steam accounts to play with my own pawns only...
Soulless
Fighter pawns spamming maw might be the most oppressive of them all.
And they called strider spin2win
Reminds me of
Funny outtake for this scene. Just goes to show that even our best and brightest pawns can make mistakes.
Nothing in this game is a harrowing as a narrow pathway flanked by bottomless pits.
>westsidestoryactualjetsvsactualsharks.webm
I want to have sex with my pawns. why can't they put a sex system like koikatsu in dragons dogma 2
>I want to have sex with my pawns
That’s illegal
Who are you to accuse me?
Just make your pawns in koikatsu, dumbass
>pawn's in the rift don't have their actual voices
Oh. I thought everyone was just giving their pawn's the same two voices.
Yeah I often get tricked into hiring chipmunk pawns all the time
It's fun to try and guess what voice they'll actually have. I have a much better record than Barroch.
>yet another pawn decked in full lv3 bbi armor
I sleep
I love how horrifically ugly the BBI level 3 armours are.
It's good, it's the way things should be, if you want actual good gear you best be prepared for the trade off which is looking like a fricking clown.
What do you mean? I love smiling emoji helmet
I actually like the shadow/oblivion helmet for some reason.
The yellow bbi lv 3 armor is the only one of the three that's decent looking. And yeah, the hat in particular looks neat if you're willing to cover your character's face.
Probably the only one out of 3 I like, but I hope if they do something like this armor again it's less dark since it won't have the bitterblack context.
The set's alright in a vacuum, but because it covers nearly everything including face, shirt, and pants, endgame pawns end up looking samey.
The veil is at least easy to mod because it doesn't have any of the flags to hide the head/hair set. So you can turn it into a ninja mask, make it more of a circlet, turn it invisible, or model swap it with most headwear without much issue.
I think the blue robes can look pretty decent but the veil is stupid
Are eliminators actually minotaurs or just dudes with bull masks?
The latter. And they're undead.
Arisen kings who sacrificed their beloved. Everyone and everything on bbi is an arisen
>Muscular kings who told their women to frick off coordinating dress code.
Kinda cute.
Undead dudes in bull helmets. You can get eliminator masks as an item, and they take bonus damage from holy IIRC
>Hire Warrior pawn Darkness
>Goblin castle siege mission
>At the cyclops on the wall
>Watch as in true Konosuba fashion she charges up an attack standing right in front of its leg and completely whiffs it
God, I hope there's skintight suits in dd2
is it possible to kill grigori in one hit?
Finger his ass
Maker's finger kills him instantly but you don't get dragon weapons
Yeah maker's finger skips the whole fight.
At this point I have no doubt in my mind that pawns share stories to each other in the rift about how they ignore their Master's cries for help during a Maneater attack.
One of mine just straight up killed me once. Tenfold on the receiving end doesn't feel so good bros.
You should try out all the vocations anyway, just to experience them. Picking up the useful augs as you go doesn't hurt. In my opinion physical dagger MA makes for fun gameplay, but magic ranged MA is also fun if you enjoy straight up shitting on things. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Iugi5FCSEaM. That's considered one of the hardest arenas.
Make sure you've rested at that level. Also there are so many pawns that it can be hard to find in the limited draw from the pool.
>"So I told her to attack her Arisen and she actually killed him, the madwoman. Funniest shit I'd ever seen."
"TIS A PORTCRYSTAL MASTER. WITH IT, YOU CAN GO ANYWHERE," the pawn said to herself, out loud.
The punishment for having eternal ferrystone
Does Magical Archer get better? I'm less than impressed but I'm still early on. Thinking about switching back to trying out sorcerer.
yes, it's one of the strongest vocations endgame, but feel free to switch anyway. You can always switch back, and sorc's final augment increases magic damage by 20% so you would want to pick it up for magic archer at some point anyway
hybrids are about versatility, they also get incredibly strong at higher levels
Strider and Ranger are more fun for most of the game.
Bros I need help. I'm on PC and people are saying they can't find my pawn. I've already set it online and pawn hiring access to everyone. Wat do?
>Name: Regina
>Platform: PC/Steam
>Moniker: Red
>Level: 25
>Vocation: Strider
>Sex: yes
>level 25
There's a metric frick ton of pawns in that pool. You would have to refresh the search many times, and it would help if you rest often so she gets bumped to the top of the list.
Level up, I had 0 hires until like level 40
I hope they give Assassin more useful augments for the sequel
>hit a chained gorecyclops in the eye with the dinky longsword mounted attack

God, Into Free is such a good song. The fact it spoils the ending of the game is so crazy.
didn't realize Into Free was about getting cucked by your own Pawn
Can you parry the boulders or did I just bork the timing?
Don't think you can.
I think not it's an instant knockdown
Having also tried, I don't think so.

I always forget that the damage formula in DD is just moronic so nothing matters.
Only morons complain about the damage calculations.
what does that have to do with the damage forumla?
He got hit by 300 great cannon projectiles a second and melted.
How much can I get away with Fashion Souls in this game? Right has all my best, highest def equipment while left has the look I really like (chainmail with tabard on top).
A lot. Don't worry about stats too much. If you like a piece of equipment, you can get it dragonforged and then rareified to keep it decent.
Fun fact: core defenses count for twice as much in damage calculation as defense from armor. Even the game itself wants you to prioritize fashion.
If you're pre-bitterblack then it shouldn't matter especially if you're leveling vocations that will up defense stats anyway like MK. No clue about hard mode since I just assume you want to damage max on that more than regular anyway.
You can get away with it, especially at higher levels. I'm at endgame on hard mode and I wear basic shit all the time. I don't even have my best longbow and daggers equipped. Dragonforging your gear is pretty easy in the late game.
Is the save editor safe? I kinda forgot to change my pawns vocation so she's just been a mage from 1-100
Use the d8input.dll mod, it has a safe respec option
It's safe if the pawn's stats stay within "possible" limits. I'd make a save backup just to be sure.
Do we know what crimes the condemned gorecyclops committed?
Snuck into the Duke's house after dark and murdered the old court jester.

Fricked my house and flooded it with semen.
He made a pawn with an annoying voice and didn't tell them to shut the hell up when at the learning table.
he didn't get the vax
he was anti skub
I never played this game much, I just wanted to create big black woman pawn. She gets a decent amount of hires.
>Rent sorc pawn for some spell syncing
>Go to Garden of Ignominy
>There master! A Thunderwyvern!
>Proceeds to jump onto its back and start hitting its heart with staff
The inclination system is very silly sometimes.
You know it might seem moronic at first but pawns will jump on big creatures like that with the sole purpose of weighing down and distracting them. I've honestly not seen definitive proof of any one inclination causing it either, they just frickin do it sometimes.
I believe it. Sometimes it's genuinely a good idea and the weight does matter, but a lot of the time the pawn isn't really getting it.
>1:30 am
>Ur-dragon is down to 2.2 hp on ps4
I don't wanna stay up for it, but damn I would like a new mask.
Speaking of Ur-dragon, how do you deal with it when it flies onto a tower? I don't see a ballista or anything.
you don't, that's literally just a frick you to the player
try fighting near the other side of the map to avoid it happening
That's kind of garbage. I guess it's a good time to use a Maker's Finger or whatever.
10 years ago I was told why he does that, I think it's about where you fight him and if he can hit you or not.
I run around like a frickin chicken and try to find a place where it's not bombarding us.
If you have long-range attacks AND any of his hearts that are somewhat reachable are still up, you hit them until he cuts that shit out. Otherwise you wait.
>but he keeps going full melee and grappling big monsters INSTEAD OF STAYING THE FRICK BACK AND SHOOTING ARROWS

>still climbs enemy
>now just punches instead of at least stabbing
I installed world difficulty and sometimes my warrior's whirlwind slash won't launch enemies into the air. I hate this. Do I just have to permanently use dual barbed nails?
2 barbed nails is the best anyways unless you really want some bbi ring skills
knocked down more = more damage
Is there a video or something that actually shows the difference for the BBI skills? Specifically warrior? They're all kinda vague and just say they're stronger for the most part.
the wiki has details on them, some clips of the bbi skills too
I've checked the wiki's but there's never any hard numbers on knockdown for skills. Unless I'm moronic in which case please point me in the right direciton.
I've never seen hard numbers for knockdown, only damage.
Gee really well that sucks. I just got my shit rocked by a high tier goblin because I thought my whirlwind slash was gonna pick him up.
they have a 'skill multiplier data' page with damage and scaling for skills but yeah nothing on knockdown for skills specifically, i can only see knockdown values for the weapons
>tfw have to use a ring for grand frigor and a different ring for grand bolide
shit game
I want to keep my pawn as a fighter, but strider is so much more useful
is there a mod to remove the critical health audio muffling? playing a Sanctuary build is really annoying since it feels like you're playing underwater
I don't think so and that's one of the reasons I stopped using Sanctuary, other than it being absolutely busted.
Tensions running high between the pale and dark ogre communities.
"Not just between ogres," claims eliminator also victimised by said pale ogre.

Minotaur got shoved into a blender
If I make my pawn use a weapon she's not supposed to with dinput8 does she actually use it? Like if I give a warrior pawn a shield will she block stuff? Will people still be able to hire her at the rift?
You would probably get hit by the invalid data thing so other people wouldn't be able to mess with your pawn, but some have slipped through. No clue about them using setups that don't exist in the base game.
Do you think if I rested with her using gear she shouldn't be, then took it off and rested again she would be fixed? I'd quite like to try that. Or see if it even works. I know I've seen pawns with the wrong gear before. One of my friend's has a warrior who's equipped a staff and I see him in my rift all the time.
I think the worst the game does is a 24hr ban for the pawn. And you get that just for making a new save.
It's not even really a ban I think, the server just doesn't accept pawns that don't pass whatever checks it does, which are pretty minor. It doesn't like it when their stats are impossible, other than that I have no idea what it cares about.
>forgot about madeleine
>missed chance to open her shop
does she still sell barbed nails in postgame or do I need to get lucky with chests now
i just found out perpiats are OP...
on the fricking true end of the game
This is the first game in a long time after taking sixty hours to finish it I can't wait to jump back in again to try out new things.
Is there only postgame or is there NG+ aswell? Went in blind and now curious about all those quests that I failed without knowing why, nor how I get into the Blighted Manse.
Yeah. There's NG+. When you go fight the final boss, make sure you play in offline mode.
>make sure you play in offline mode
Why is that? I'm on my second playthrough currently going through the main game, does it throw me into NG+ automatically? I never finished BBI previously
There's a slight difference between the final final bonus online vs offline. Offline is better.
Oh is the final boss the Ur Dragon? I know about him, just thought he was optional
No no that's different, the ur dragon is an optional side thing. And the difference for him is that offline you can kill him solo while online he's a raid boss across everyone's games and, if you kill him during "grace", you get better rewards than offline.
I'm not talking about the Ur-dragon.
Thanks, but why in offline mode if you dont mind me asking.
Thanks anon.
Aelinore? I found her in one of the towers in the castle, but she had no quest for me.
Cheers anon, would only be for trying to do all the quests.
>Aelinore? I found her in one of the towers in the castle, but she had no quest for me.
You have to talk to her in the castle courtyard immediately after first talking to the duke before you get stopped at the gate by aldous in order to start her quest chain. It's very easy to miss.
>why offline mode
nta, but just trust him. It's cooler. Just turn the game to offline mode before jumping into the portal after delivering 20 wakestones.
>Aelinore
You have to talk to her immediately after first meeting the duke in order to start her questline. You'll see a cutscene of her tending to a garden.
There is NG+
Blighted Manse is for the Princess's questline.
there is NG+ but it's just a victory lap, very little changes
Did you play through BBI?
>DD2 announced
>no news whatsoever, no interview, nothing tangible about the game
they just started huh
it's probably 5 years away
Itsuno has confirmed that the secret project his team has been working on since 2017 has been DD2. So we're 5 years in already. Usually Capcom releases big titles around 1.5 years after announcements so hype train full speed ahead.
>2017
2019, it started production after DMC5 was done. unless they were doing pre-production before that
so... to teach my pawn anything we must be the same vocation or the same color vocation?
...no? Pawns gain knowledge by either doing shit or seeing you do shit (plus scrolls but that's ghey)
No
No.
There's stupid myths about I ONLY USED DRAGON'S MAW SO MY PAWN STARTED USING DRAGON'S MAW, that's not what happened. You were fighting without probably picking up many items etc, so your pawn's fighting inclinations got higher, maybe he got a third bestiary star which usually makes pawns more aggressive against those enemies, maybe he leveled up 5-6 times which made the game go "he now has X strength and Y stamina, he will now use this move more".
To be fair pawns can learn from watching you do stuff, but it's more about them unlocking specific flags in their AI package (like goblins hating ice nad fire both) rather than them learning specific behaviors from copying you
>do the quest where you have to kill assassins at night that you kill in one hit
>find the last one before cassardis being attacked by dogs

2nd fresh playthrough btw. I don't even know if blindness affects enemies that much, but I like that the pies do have a use.
Yeah, blind enemies start wildly swinging at the air around them. Kind of useful.
>I don't even know if blindness affects enemies that much
Cyclopes swing pretty wildly in general. But it definitely makes a difference on stuff like bandits. They become almost completely harmless as they attack the air around them. Unfortunately, it's similarly effective against pawns.
Holy shit I love this game so much bros. Can't wait for DD2 when you can paint armor and hide helmets.
Also how do I get more stuff to show up in merchants? I've been using the same mace and greatshield for a long time now
Progress the game
I made my pawn a warrior and gave her a shield as well with dinput. She actually still attacks and blocks.
I need gold farming methods, the fricking everfall shop drained me of all coin.

Is it unreasonable to expect my pawn to get hired with only one skill and zero primary weapons?
She spams corkscrew arrow with petrifying arrows
>zero primary weapons
She's shit and nobody with a brain will hire your boxer.
but she one shots garm...
Sure. When she's not punching them. And when you supply her with special arrows.
your pawn doesn't bring its inventory so you'd have to advertise it as "needs loading"
>"needs loading"
gotcha.
Probably not since unequipping her daggers will make her just punch things instead. Just give her sapfire daggers so she at least debilitates things and does a bit of damage when she decides to melee. Maybe thousand kisses as well (assuming she's a ranger).
>Just made my pawn
>Do the little training quest in the encampent
>Rest
>Like 10 people have used my pawn in the short time i had it
What the frick
did you start a new game after not playing for long time without loading up your old character
Low level pawns always get tons of hires just because that's where most people are playing the game. Everyone has to go through early game regardless of how long they end up playing but the further into the game you get the more people end up quitting/getting filtered/finishing with the game so there are less and less hires.
My pawn was hired nonstop below level 50, then increasingly less and is now barely hired at level 100+ where hires really drop off since people tend to hire the same pawns once for a full BBI run.
Top Ten Secrets to becoming a Riftillionaire.
Click here to find out how.
Technically if you want lods of riftbux you'd have to do a hired pawns only/solo run where you keep your pawn around level 30-40, and abuse the guard genocide trick to max out all their vocations so they have perfect skill setups.
I don't really know yet if having all their gear gold rarefied would help or hurt their chances of being hired. I think people would avoid hiring twink pawns but I feel like the majority of players don't give a frick about their pawns killing everything for them judging by how often my e-girl sorc was hired this playthrough who had a silver rarified Stagnant Surge at level 35ish.

how to enjoy this game? it feels like a superficial amalgam of an action game and the tactical combat of a CRPG without the strengths of either genre.
By playing Dark Souls
but I can't take another run
It's just an action game with typical RPG stats and reliance on status effects and damage types and such. It's definitely much better than CRPG combat but that's not very hard to do since CRPG combat is just D&D without the freedom that makes D&D combat good.

I don't get this vocation
I'm pretty sure gale harness thousand kisses outdamages strider's thousand kisses.
Brain Splitter is by far the strongest thing in the game though.
>outdamages strider's thousand kisses
Even with the innate damage bonus while climbing?
That damage bonus while climbing only affects certain monsters as far as I know. Assassins also get dire gouge which I think is stronger and if you're autistic you could probably use gale harness, swap to sword, then use dire gouge.
Yeah, for sure. Gale harness makes you attack way faster and you can already get close to the strength bonus cap with just augments already (vehemence + clout + adhesion is already 50%) and you can stack staredown on top of that.
Gale harness cancels if you swap weapons, but I think deadly gouge is probably stronger than gale harness + 1k kisses as long as you don't get interrupted in the middle of it.
And what are its specialties when not fighting huge monsters you can climb?
Being FRICKING INVINCIBLE with two separate counterattacks and a bunch of mobility options. Or just shooting them with gale harness fivefold flurries.
goes sanic fast
has a counter on every weapon
looks cool plays cool is cool
>counter on every weapon
>the shield counter assassin gets is the worst
>also it's just bad
:^)
There's a dlc sword you can buy from the black cat that makes you do 10% more damage for every hit up to 10 hits for 100% extra damage. This lasts until you get hit and it works on your bow too. So you can get a double damage bow on assassin. You can carry all 4 weapons assassins get and swap between them.
I use skills depending on how cool they are, and how fun they are to use. I don't care about whether it's 'the worst' or 'just bad'. Imagine being you.
homie it's the only counter move that can still frick you because it also counts as a block which means extra stamina drain depending on what you block. You also don't get i frames in the air whilst every other counter gets i frames on the follow up attack.
It doesn't drain stamina if you hit the timing for a perfect block with the skill, and it's quite easy with how generous the game is with it.
And again, I don't give a shit because it looks cool.
The shield counter is great for large enemies with repetitive attacks like prisoner gorecyclops. The sword counter is great with debilitating weapons and the dagger counter is objectively the most overpowered skill in the game due to the bug (though it would still be excellent without the bug).
splitter, blast arrows, dickass theivery, mad dash
It's been a while since I played this game but I remember there was a dark variation of the griphic arms and leg armor.
Where do you get it?
Just found out I could straight up copy my save file off the Switch and drop it on PC and I'll be able to keep my very cute and knowledgeable pawn. At long last I will finally be able to strip her completely naked and sell her to anons.
UR dragon is less than half a bar
So is hunting the online ur-dragon something for rich people spamming maker's fingers? There is literally no point in beating on him with anything, even if 20 people were to do so. I use a silver forged dagger gotten from beating the main dragon, 4x conquerers and skull splittered on one of his hearts for 8 minutes or so and his health bar barely moved
No. Even with base weapons and periapts you can do a lot. His health bar doesn't really move visually tbh.
Blast Arrows are also very good.
as a sorcerer I can knock off like 20% of bar
A proven point. I never bother to watch his bar.
huh. Well, hopefully the game considered my contribution of damage as high then
a level 200 can burst down hard daimon 2 in under a minute, yes they can damage ur without makers arrows, but no it's not meant to be just 20 people wailing on him a little
10 mil of makers arrows did a lot less than i thought because there's multiple instances of online ur so you have to kill each heart at least 5 times
Are we in Grace yet?
>use the ur dragon warp
>the dragon's dogma server is unavailable
AAAAAAAAAAAA
