specific actions mostly. something like making the hydra swallow a bomb barrel and blowing it up or petrifying a gobbo with an evil eye or even something simple like "hit x enemy with dark damage." pretty sure most of the last stars have genocide break points too tho.

I think you throw when it's trying to eat you.
This is the only game that I've ever made alt accounts for, just so that I could have multiple pawns at once. I really hope they go off the fricking rails with pawns in DD2 and make them as aughtistically intricate as possible.
Letting go of pawns is hard man. They have to know how attached we to to these little morons.
Looking to hire good red, yellow (striders preferred), and blue (sorcerers only) pawns around this level on PS4. Drop your IDs, please. Here's mine should you want a ranger who will soon become a fighter permanently: soup-erb. I could use the RC. Thanks
I won't hire your pawn if they look like a fricking clown. I'd also like them to not be too strong for this level range, like with gold rarified Lv.3 BBI gear and everything, but I could honestly do with the extra firepower.
Some spells have a physical component, so Sorcerer can still kill golems easily with Gicel. MK has canons. MA can't deal physical with the bow at all, but can quadruple jump and light themselves on fire that deals part physical so how hard could it possibly be? Really just sucks did for fighter and warrior. The worst part about the metal disk in the tree is that even if you bring ranged pawns, I've literally never seen them recognize it as an enemy until you've done at least 1 damage to it yourself. The moment you tap it, then the pawn ranger one-shots it instantly after spending the past 10 minutes running off and climbing the golem over and over again.
Even then it's still suffering. I was playing mystick knight but had a strider pawn with me. He wouldn't shoot at it, just climb the golem. I had to climb up on its head in order to jump off and sky rapture the medal. But then after an eternity of doing that all of a sudden it drops from the tree. He waited til it was one hit away from being destroyed to shoot at it.
This is what I'm working with. I've actually managed to whittle him down to around half health thanks to the rusted bow, but he shaves off most of my health in a hit or two, and I've revived the pawns maybe a dozen times
put at least one star on that bow and sword because cursed dragons dragonforge like crazy. you would have a much easier time with more 3 stars on that sword anyway. upgrades are the most important part of your power scaling.

they are harder and yes it's dumb. BBI is a shitshow once you get past the brutality of it.

iirc you can fight the bishop infinite amounts of times, with at least 1 start it's pretty much a guaranteed dragon forge.

You can't, as far as I know you have to finish BBI for bosses to respawn

Anyway, this lass can't see very well, so her fashion style is dogshit.
She wants to visit BBI soon, but currently helps her dumb arisen farm shards, just in case.
I mean that's why people are excited, the game showed a lot of potential but it was maybe 15-20% of what a full game should be. Seeing them make a full sized actually finished game using those ideas is what we've been waiting for.
Does anyone know when Reynard's escort quest expires? Do I have time to grab the Portcrystal in the everfall and run it to the greatwall on my own?
I've never been able to keep this homosexual alive
take a mage, sneak through soulflayer canyon
he can be healed, as long as he doesn't die in one hit which shouldn't even happen in hard mode
avoid the bandit fricks though, their rangers hit hard
Why did they make Throwblasts so good? I just speed ran through the first part of BBI and killed the gazer by just chucking 50 some bombs at him at level 20
Bought it with over 80% discount and still felt robbed. What a shitty ass borefest of a game. In 2 hours I made no decisions other than picking out of THREE classes, all combat is just spamming attack button. Frick this game.
It has a fairly slow janky start that ramps up into a crescendo of amazing story, amazing abilities, and then you hit the literal cliff face of unfinished content of literal despair.
I don't think I've ever felt this way about a game.
In offline mode you will only see randomly generated pawns (except your main pawn which you customize).
But say for example you hire two player pawns while at home in online mode. They will get stored in your game so when you go offline mode they are still there.
Been playing pretty much every vocation to full level except 2 and currently playing MK and I feel like my stamina is gone pretty quick so having as much as possible would be nice but then i have no magic power.
My next pawn during my next playthrough will be a loose she-goat(and that will be her name). now i just wonder how often shell be summoned compared to the tame looking knight pawn i had.
Both based and logical choices. Hopefully keeping her around for a while and sending her back with gorillions in RC and BBI gear will encourage the Arisen in question.
But I can't afford PS+ anon and I'm a frameprostitute! More importantly my brother still has my PS4, really should get that back. It's been three goddamn years. /blog

. Post your pawn, if you will. If the levels don't match, I'll favorite them so I can use them later - I'll be playing until I reach max level and then some, don't worry.
Have you never had your pawn come back dressed up in new threads?
I make a habit of equipping any low level pawns I rent with the best shit I have. I’ve never played as blue, and neither has my pawn, so every lowbie mage I rent gets some sweet free gear.
Bro. you've never toss your own pawn into the brine just so you can beat half the game and get easy low level summons after decking them out in mid game gear? Seriously its how I farm rift crystals early game til I can run through BBI no problem.
No mods, that anon is lying he's not me.
I just clipped trough the gate, although you can just run to get the key and then run trough a wieneratrice to get a free orb key.
>only ever played on hard mode because more gold >can't play on normal anymore without feeling overpowered
I feel like part of the experience is a little ruined now, but having bats able to murder you is kinda funny
hard mode shits on warriors so hard dude. warriors live and die by their ability to stagger and knock down opponents, it's their whole thing (because god knows it ain't damage). the 3 skill limitation already puts them in a tough enough situation, but giving enemies much higher stagger/kd thresholds on top of that? it just fricks their whole shit up
warriors got done dirty in this game and hard mode just does them dirtier
they're fun as frick to play at least but goddamn
Sort of. You're meant to play in multiple different styles and trying out different pawns. Eventually you find better and better shit that you can later apply to a different vocation. Really what gives this game such a long suffering fanbase is that the combination of your own vocations, pawn customization and atmosphere gives every player the opportunity and incentive to be completely autistic. We're basically making our own little dollies to trade with each other.
This is the only game that I've ever made alt accounts for, just so that I could have multiple pawns at once. I really hope they go off the fricking rails with pawns in DD2 and make them as aughtistically intricate as possible.
i've finally brute-forced through the game after dropping it 3 times and honestly, it sucks, they have a couple of good ideas but they're either implemented poorly or aren't enough to ignore how garbage the rest of the game is.
The quality of the ai hunters in Rise is making me optimistic for DD2. Each having little characteristics and shoutouts is really doing it.
I wonder if Rise is being used as a test ground for other mechanics like the movement.
They still get battered if you leave the monster to fight them alone, the 2nd one you fight alongside even mentions how everyone hates pairing with her and it turns out she doesn't heal or do much in the way of support at all.
But having them do switch skills in tandem with you or say "hold your ground for a minute" before wirebugging away and coming back riding a monster is better than most games helpers.
Metal Golems are the reason changing vocations is a thing. I spent 2 hours yesterday beating the one in the Witchwood as a Warrior in hard mode. my pawn was a Sorcerer so she was equally useless. meanwhile any yellowgay could've done it in 2 minutes
>go to the tree before it wakes up >spam go with ranger/strider pawn
it's really that simple. you can end that fight before it starts. the everfall one is annoying since you have to climb and jump.
This game is pretty fun. I don't know why but exploring feels really addicting even though the world itself is pretty empty. I'm like level 40 and just met the duke because I was enjoying wandering around and fighting random bandits/griffins/chimeras/trolls. I wish Warrior was a better class though. 3 skills is a joke and there's multiple variations of Charge attack skills. This class fricking sucks but Arc of Deliverance is so addicting that I keep fricking playing it. And generally speaking, I don't even know why the default is 3 skills and not 4. Is there really ever a need to jump while holding the skill button? I'm not a big fan of the armor designs either, my biggest wish is that the sequel has more armor and cooler designs.
But yeah, I'm surprised how addicting this game is. I didn't even like it that much at first and I didn't even give a shit about making a Pawn so I made a generic mage girl to go with my tough guy swordsman. But then after journeying for so long, it made me want to teach her all the skills and play dress up and make the ideal party.
we got another one boys
fricking off all the way to bloodwater beach at low level is always really fun for me, even if there's nothing plot-related over there
based. no one who actually like the action, adventure, or RPG aspects of games can actually hate dragon's dogma. the worst legitimate criticisms you'll get is people complaining there isn't more to it.
I couldn't get into after going past 2 major quests despite being what I thought was being pretty thorough and still missing a ton of shit. I was wondering why all my friend's pawns were low level.
The jump button was reserved for a dodge that never happened. Dagger classed get a roll mapped to it. Best hope for a warrior dodge is Escape slash which has I-frames.
pretty much what I'm doing, I'm 62 hours in and now finally ready to start the endgame... if i wasn't collecting all those shitty badges of vow, pretty much the only thing I dislike so far
>Is there really ever a need to jump while holding the skill button?
Yes, there's an augment that boosts attacks when jumping and some skills can be used mid jump for the sake of maneuverability, like tenfold flurry
>bro just hear me out bro >hellhounds right? but giant and also poisonous >sounds kickass but wolves usually hunt in packs right? >who said these didn't :^)
glad this dude left for SE. Garm are actually pretty simple on warrior tho.
>start charging Arc of Assblast >give a "GO" command the pawns >they aggro whatever I want to smack >tell them to "COME" back >smack some b***hes
Simple as
strategy at its basest is just how you choose to apply the brute force available to you. for my money, nothing hits like a "frick you die" slam with a side risk of suicide.
>sending Armor into a pit with one carefully planned Arc
That there right there the thing to live for truly. What frickin second phase when I can just delete em folks like a man without those gay ass candy ass fairy magic poof shit like some prancing homo
Wait a fricking minute, you can order pawns around? I beast Daimon 2 earlier today and didn't know that. I never understood how to get the little morons to do anything other than commentate.
Just be aware that ordering them around can mess with their inclinations (using "help" too much and your pawn might get the "guardian" inclination, using "go" out of combat and they can get pioneer etc). But yeah, you can get the pawns to buff you before combat with the "help" command. They'll even use group heal items if you use this command so it's always a good idea to stock up on spring water and other curatives and distribute them to your pawns.
More people have been playing this game for the past two weeks than any of the souls game on steam and that series has sold 4 or 5 x more copies than Dragon's Dogma ever did.
For me it's either this or Ogre Bones (to not lose out on stagger/knockdown resistance while having style that isn't entirely tied to BBI). Makes it really hard to justify even purifying bitterblack gear.
I think the ideal is ~600 knockdown/stagger. Use Barbed Nails and Impact to get in that range and you'll be golden. If you have Bitter End you don't even need Barbed Nails.
took me three tries the other day as well so I guess that's average for first timers. the last frickin heart was on the wing for me though. had to climb the bastard and jump to swing at it.
ancient circlet or any other golden circlet
crimson robe
silver chestplate + silk lingerie (if female)
bonds of the dragon or any sort of golden wristbands
scale graves or any other sort of golden anklets

>DD2 is going to be based on the RE engine
What are the odds they will censor the shit out of customization?
On the other hand >All of those inevitable coomer mods
>What are the odds they will censor the shit out of customization?
don't see why they would. SF and REmake homies seems to be a separate team from everyone else.
Making e-girl pawns and having them wear lingerie in an engine that makes characters look like clay is one thing, but on an engine that makes them look hyper realistic is another thing.
Hopefully it will monster hunter rise in terms of arstyle and not realistic shit which will inevitably will have ugly ass facescans as is re engine custom.
I played this game way back on the old 360, and have some great memories, like the book quest and figuring out you can make a forgery, give that to the dude and then see him flabbergasted when he tries to help you with the Griffin, only for the book to do nothing.
Is this playable with a mouse + KB or do I need a controller to enjoy it, if I were to get it fro PC?
most off DD's combat/action variance comes through niche skills. the basic light/heavy combat is actually a little simpler than your model since it doesn't work backwards. it's still based.
How important is shield stability or whatever it's called? I really like the Grand Soren shield and wanted to take it to the endgame. Should I bother dragonforging it?
Idgaf about kbm
i originally played this game for 300 hours on the 360 with a controller and I am not dealing with the bullshit Kb/m controls. just pop in a Logitech gamepad, emulate it as Xbox controller using xinput, ezpz proper button prompts
It's a rough early game. Get the infamous escort quest out of the way and arrive at the main city (Gran Soren) and things open up.
Don't feel like you need to complete every stupid escort or item collecting quest on the boards; most of that is designed with NG+ in mind whereby you have plenty of items. For a first play through it's best to just explore and fight stuff.
why do people call the black cat gear op, all the weapons give me less attack than what im currently using? the passives dont seem that strong for the most part.
>check wiki since i'm too lazy to open up the game >check wounded fury first
There's such a thing as too niche. Imagine somebody walking in on your Seneschal if you used it though and seeing it's equipped if they know.
You have no idea how many times I exploited that half second of stagger after someone hit my shield to grab their ass and kick them off a ledge.
>arisen comes from a fishing village >villagers emphasize this by how they address you (goodfisher, minnow, etc) >dies to some red mist in a pond
It know it's for gameplay reasons, but still.
Even worse >MC is probably a fisherman by profession >No fishing mini game >No crab trap crafting system >No fishing net weaving mini game to sell for profits
The game is suddenly worse for some reason.
So I actually cleared out The Lost City. My strat was >Be assassin >Bring three sorcs, no healers, no tanks but myself >Beeline it straight to the two Thunderwyrms as fast as I can >moron pawns fail to follow over the rooftops, stumble near the Wyrm roofs >Beeline it to the dragons, Dire Gouge the absolute shit out of their hearts, melt those healthbars >Meanwhile sorcs are getting raped by four Eliminators downstairs >Burst down both the dragons, then rescue my pawns as best I can >Cursed dragon spawns just as I jump down into the streets >Whatever, there's no time >Revive pawns , hiding under the narrow roofs from the rotten dragon breath >Kite and chip away at the eliminators until my pawns manage to line up a triple High Bolide, turning BBI into Sieverodonetsk >This kills the Eliminators >Deal with Cursed Dragon, equip my pawn's gear at the last frame before the kill to get it dragonforged >Clean out the town step by step, eliminator by eliminator >Now, armor frickfest >Open with Sundering Spear scroll and Surging light to keep them occupied >Run in and swing away >Actually deal decent damage, almost strip the armor off most of them before Sundering Spear runs out >Enhanced Response and Masterful Kill is your friend 🙂 >Slashing and flipping and parrying like a ferret on crack >Armors eventually come off >One Triple High Bolide and it's over
Holy frick what an experience. The endgame of this dungeon is bonkers.
God, what a cool game. The sequel has a high bar to clear
honestly all ice spells suck
frazil is frazil
frigor would be fine but even against hellhounds and stuff weak to ice i do better dps with charged levin, and the fact that the spike is delayed means it misses a lot of the time
and gicel takes forever to cast to be used as a bread and butter spell
Is there a consensus on the best endgame healing item? I've always used spring water bottles because of group healing, but the healing itself is pretty shit and gathering it is a bit of a bother even when placing a portcrystal nearby.
It would definitely be the best option if you could purchase it. Still, it's interesting to me that judging from the answers there really is no obvious go-to healing item, it's largely preference.
for stamina you should just wait for Fournivals fat ass to leave his house post game and buy like 500 mushroom potages so you never have to wait for him again
the stuff Barroch sells is really good, and Kingwarish is very efficient (but not super quick to farm)
[...]
springwater is easy to get a bunch of, but it's not very weight-efficient
She's about my level so I want to hire her. Is there an easier way to look for pawns other than to get lucky? I set my search conditions ot sorc, female only. Found an Eve but it was a different one...
if a pawn looks good and has good skills and fits my needs then I hire them. I don't hire pawns to brine them, but I always brine pawns wearing the dutchess set.
never brine, that's a dick move. Don't hire princess dress/ugly hat pawns, looks shit. Look at inclinations, if complete trash no hire. Skills depend on what I'm looking for. A sorc without at least a holy buff and at least a fire and ice spell is no hire. If a sorc has tornado no hire.
orc women, goofy fricks that look like the player put time into them and well done cosplays usually get instantly hired by me. pretty much any of the one item armor sets and little effort get a water grave. and by little effort i mean people who have little character customization or no upgrades to any of their pawns equipment.
I never hire pawns to brine, too much work. But as far as dealbreakers for hiring; >unupgraded/hobo equipment after the early levels >the dlc outfits >guardian or nexus >default guts face
>good looks (they needn't be traditionally handsome or beautiful, but must be pleasant to look at. no lolsorandumbxd shit with mismatched gear, please - I'm also tired of looking at the same full Lv.3 BBI armor sets all the time, they all look horrible, so I don't hire pawns wearing those either) >good gear (as in upgraded as highly as possible) >good skillset >good augments >good inclinations
Pawns need all 5 of these things for a hire from me. I often spend hours in the rift because of this and I hate it, but I can't help it. Be fashionable (and functional!) or die, fricker.
>brine
I don't hire just to feed the brine, but after a long time in the rift, when I come out with a fresh new pawn and I'm immediately greeted by a highly distorted goblin voice, I feel betrayed. Into the sea they go.
>good inclinations
I approach it in the opposite way. You want to avoid the bad inclinations, any combination of the good inclinations (or no inclinations even) is better than having even one of the bad ones.
No it doesn't. I've had challenger and mitigator pawns climb just as often as scathers. It just makes them more likely to fight large enemies and thus more likely to be able to climb.
Don't equip climbing augments and they're not going to climb.
Anonymous
No it doesn't. It makes them preferentially target large, climbable creatures. With or without scather, pawns will at least sometimes climb enemies like that even if they're blues and it makes no sense. The reason people think scather makes them climb is that they spend more time fighting climbable enemies and will therefore have more opportunities to make the decision to climb over the course of a fight. But it also means that they aim their gicel at the gorecyclops instead of a strigoi.
I'd rather they pick off ranged targets first. Scather (primary) also makes them scout ahead of the party and engage enemies before you do, which I don't like. I hear it also makes them jump more, which is obviously bad for blues, but I don't know if it actually makes them jump more often.

That I get. Challenger is the other one I like on sorcerers. I just think people are way too weird about scather.
I'm on my third attempt at enjoying this game. First attempt was on playstation, the second on pc, this third is on steamdeck. I think it finally clicked.
Noob trap. It's not good. Since it's an outfit it covers all slots and thus apears to have a higher defense rating than other chest pieces. It's better than some early game gear because it's DLC crap so noobs see it in their inventory and slap it on and don't relising how much defense they're lacking
you get it at the very start of the game and it's better than starting equipment. it's fricking shit and lazy idiots never change it for proper armor. it looks ugly and it's a guarantee that the pawn is completely half-assed and not worth your time.
I saw a weird uptick of them around level 30. I had been seeing a few scattered around gran soren. But then all of a sudden even the ones on the road were ~60% princesses.
Finished NG+ and hard. Wasn't expecting it to be such a push over. I guess I have to do a fresh hard mode run at some point to really appreciate the mode. Just have to do a quick speed run and then I'm off to BBI. Might have to speed run the main game to get Fournival for smoother times.
Apparently there's a glitch with speedrun mode that reverts you down one difficulty level when you complete it so make sure you are still in hard mode afterwards.
>had this happen >saw I was playing on easy mode for my NG++ bitterblack run >really just thought it was due to being level 200
I didn't beat the game.
>Know for sure you don't need to minmax and that it's just autism >Still can't bring myself to play MK on my mostly Red playthrough because it scales almost entirely off of magic and has pitiful strength gains
Why is my magic heavy armour + sword man such a strlet?? Why am I plagued by such aughtism?
It's a special type of author that'll redraw and entire chapter as a joke. Frick the anime indeed. >ywn get the "actually i am" scene at the end adapted
Jitsu wa Watashi wa. It's got a very rough start but about 20ish chapters in the author finds his footing and makes one of those romcoms that you look back on and say "I'll never read it for the first time again". Probably my favourit romance manga. Great reaction images too.

Love it so much
It's an action RPG like Skyrim or Dark Souls only it leans heavier on the action side. Different classes feel properly different, lots of fun little details, very unfinished. Don't expect a complete product but it's full of soul.
Should I go to BBI? I have 100 hours and looped twice already but I just like killing the Everfall monsters too much
Also is it worth staying at Very light as strider? I feel like I carry too much healing shit so I'm always distributing stuff to pawns but I'm not sure it's worth it
Yes. BBI is a little similar to Everfall with some of the monsters and arena potential. Strider is very good and very light makes you faster so its more fun.
Literally every game above a 7/10 should be bumped down then because every dev has had ambitions they weren't able to meet.
The game has a lot of flaws anon. The potential is massive and the game is still great but so much can be improved upon.
I got the game when it came out on PS$ specifically because I wanted to tell Capcom that I was still interested. It's the only time I've bought a game twice, voted with my wallet, etc and I'll never do it again because it's worked and now I get to play the sequel I've been waiting 10+ years for.

The start is rough, art and writing wise, but it eventually picks up. The author realised it needed change and so he applied it.
No but in a meta sense for if you beat the game, pawns are NPCs and so are the rest of the characters. The Arisen is chosen because he isn't an NPC. The will that gets referred to in game is the will of the player. Up until the point you take control and become Arisen you are essentially an NPC.
No not after NG+, at the beginning of NG+. Just reach Gran Soren or something for the sake of it then go to Cassardis at night. Also if you want to enable hard mode do it after entering NG+ so you don't have to reset your game later.
>What do you mean by this?
If you enable hard mode in the middle of normal mode it will reset your playthrough (but you keep your character as if it was ng+)

Oh ok. Phew. I thought it had something to do with the suicide knife you get after Grigori
BBI's difficulty is meant for post game to NG+ and the story requires you to understand the main plot.
>give some panacea to my pawns >... >come across a body of water >we all get drenched near the center >they use like 6 panacea to wipe the water off their bodies while crossing it

>give pawn 40 periapts >uses them all in one fight
>death fricks off ever bar you drain
Just kill him harder so he can't >keep getting the same fricking longbow on every purification
just checking but you're not trying to savescum the purification right? That doesn't work
>give some panacea to my pawns >... >come across a body of water >we all get drenched near the center >they use like 6 panacea to wipe the water off their bodies while crossing it
WHYY
it not that hard, just annoying to hit the the circle under his feet
metal bro
just break the one in the tree before you wake him up. ezpz
post pawns and gib bestiary stars
How do you even get bestiary stars? My pawn still has 1 star and we've killed a lot.
specific actions mostly. something like making the hydra swallow a bomb barrel and blowing it up or petrifying a gobbo with an evil eye or even something simple like "hit x enemy with dark damage." pretty sure most of the last stars have genocide break points too tho.
>making the hydra swallow a bomb barrel and blowing it up
ive learned more of this creature
Its hinted in the camp hydra fight iirc. I always enjoyed breaking cyclops tusks with the lightning whip
How do you actually get them to swallow it?
throw it at him when he's getting ready to snap at you.
I think you throw when it's trying to eat you.
Letting go of pawns is hard man. They have to know how attached we to to these little morons.
Hit the nose then throw barrel
Lvl 20 not 19
fat frick
Dont be mean to her.
PS4 PSN: ArKaDeGv_, got the info of the other PS4 pawns will take them for a ride tomorrow
Nice pawn, would defo summon senpai
thank you fren
>start out challenger/utilitarian
>somehow end up as challenger/nothing
>now she's challenger/scather
She's a little slow but she does alright.
I remember it was pretty hard to kill one as a sorcerer.
Glicel or get lucky with an earthquake
bring a ranger/strider with bow skills or be prepared to suffer
Can be do only with melee attacks? There is one glowing orb of those in a fricking tree. I can't get to it.
bring him underneath it, climb him, and jump to hit it. that's your only option without ranged.
He waited til it was one hit away from being destroyed to shoot at it.
>metal golem
I hate those guys
Good luck OP
So how am I meant to kill this thing?
THE HEART, ARISEN! ATTACK THE HEART!
I know that. I meant I do almost no damage anyway. Am I meant to kill this thing the first time around or run?
you should yeah. what weapon? dragon weapon? is it upgraded?
This is what I'm working with. I've actually managed to whittle him down to around half health thanks to the rusted bow, but he shaves off most of my health in a hit or two, and I've revived the pawns maybe a dozen times
put at least one star on that bow and sword because cursed dragons dragonforge like crazy. you would have a much easier time with more 3 stars on that sword anyway. upgrades are the most important part of your power scaling.
>firedrakes frostwyrms felt harder to me than cursed dragons and they appear commonly after daimon dies once
>they have a worse dragonforge rate
huh?
they are harder and yes it's dumb. BBI is a shitshow once you get past the brutality of it.
Stay under him and antler toss his heart that skill has high stagger you will knock down him easily with maybe 10 or less uses
iirc you can fight the bishop infinite amounts of times, with at least 1 start it's pretty much a guaranteed dragon forge.
You can't, as far as I know you have to finish BBI for bosses to respawn
but luring Cursed Dragons with rancid bait meat is easy enough.
>assassin
just climb on to him an dire gouge the heart, easy mode, that's what i did
>giant glowing spot
>pawns squealing about it
>hmmm I wonder if his head is his weakspot?
based moron.
lmao I didn't know pawns could post on the internet
periapts are your best friend for these at low level.
Panty and Stocking 2 reveal was better.
Does this woman's israeliteery know no bounds?
she cute tho
Any mod to replace fugly here with a cool design?
just turn off the shitty ENB
what ENB? and why would an ENB change the frickers fugly mug?
I was getting mad filtered by Gazer as a Magick Archer until I started chucking throwblasts. How are you meant to damage him the proper way?
like so
Bait him into stunning himself. Then he's as good as dead
That move where he summons a tentacle under him can be used to stun him if you position it under him
Discovered this by accident
>Get knocked up by tentacle
>Immediately summons another below me, get knocked up again
>About to summon a third, I'm running like hell below it
>tmw it jabs itself in the eye and I get free Dragon's Maws in
>>Get knocked up by tentacle
Bros, i just started playing this, and it runs like shit, can't have stable 30 fps even with everything on zero, it's weird because my computer can run games from 2012 just fine, but not this one, i read something about the game only using one of my computer's cores for some reason, any way to fix this?
>DMCV never got a sticky but DD2 did
Based honestly
They're not gonna retain the feel of the first game, are they?
that clunky xbox360/ps3 era brown shitstain filter pos feel? hope not
>doesn't like the game
>interested in the sequel
you're why all my favorite franchises die
>disliking the shitty era clunk means i dont like the game
(you)
>disliking the game means i don't like the game
yes?
i don't want a generic action game homosexual, take a look at modern era clunk instead and check how much dlc monster hunter rise has
frick modern adhd features
>if you didnt like ps3 clunk and jank then you must love dlc and microtransactions
nta but you're moronic
>wants the game to change instead of just playing whatever shitty action game has less 'clunk'
frick you
yes, i want the game to be improved
>WAH WAH WAH I WANT TO WALLOW IN SHIT ALL DAY
cool, keep playing ddda on your piss3 forever.
>calls the game shit
>interested in the sequel
bandwagoner much?
the game on a ps3 is shit yes. ive crashed the game more times than youve booted it.
trash opinion tbh. base DD was great and BBI's additions are meh.
bbi really only add one pair of pants for males?
my biggest hope for dd2 is just more gear in general
like at least 1 weapon of each type for each element..
>modern era clunk
what's there to look at? that it's non existent?
>check how much dlc monster hunter rise has
OMG STICKERS AND LIKE 3 SKINS Have YOU looked at MHR's DLC?
>frick modern adhd features
>Games feeling good to play are adhd features. God I fricking despise you nostalgia homosexuals
>adhd homosexual with no patience
also
>like 3 skins
moron
>moron
oh sorry 2 skins
do you know what layered armor is you fricking homosexual?
>1-5 of 135
dumb homosexual
>1-5 of 135
>dumb homosexual
IT'S FRICKING 90% STICKERS, ARE YOU AN ESL IS THAT WHY IT'S SO HARD FOR YOU TO READ WHAT THE DLCs ARE?
>is fine with in game communication and outfit being packaged as $300+ of seperate dlc instead of being in the game
again, frick you
Calm down moron
you shouldn't respond to these cretins earnestly anon. just mock them.
i have no idea what this image is but i love dogma and hate elden
and i hate any homosexual who clearly just wants dogma 2 to be elden
DD versus ER drama is literally being manufactured by a cabal of Discord autists. It's called "inciting a flamewar", newfriend, and is against the board rules.
>you can't just criticized my decade old nostalgia game!
>decade old
>nostalgia
kys zoomer
I hope you don't defend mon hun from gens and beyond anon.
Else I'mma slap your shit for being so hypocritical.
Just keep replaying the old one if you hate change moron
>explore a bit
>find healing spring
>take escort quest to healing spring (second playthrough so I know about escort bquests being bullshit)
>it meant a different healing spring
FRICK
I had hydra 2 star scroll, but used it already.
Anyway, this lass can't see very well, so her fashion style is dogshit.
She wants to visit BBI soon, but currently helps her dumb arisen farm shards, just in case.
not getting summoned
>gross horny fetish meme garbage
>shit rank and training
definitely getting sent away.
>maxed out rank
>decent appearance
>good outfit and get up
>mage
now this is prime pawn material
Is so surreal that DD2 is real, I'll give DD a replay when we see some gameplay of DD2.
Is Dragons Dogma 2 the first time a game announcement like that got a sticky?
cringe picture, shows the lemming mentality of the majority of this boards DD "fans"
How long can you last speaking only in DD quotes?
Not long now!
They're masterworks all, you can't go wrong.
I just don't get it. The first game didn't impress me. It felt unfinished. Here is hoping the second game does a better job.
I mean that's why people are excited, the game showed a lot of potential but it was maybe 15-20% of what a full game should be. Seeing them make a full sized actually finished game using those ideas is what we've been waiting for.
>cringelords still pretending they like an unfinished broken game cuz it's le... UNPOPULAR!
How the frick did I missed that holy shit we're actually getting a sequel.
>His sperg-posting isn't in the screen cap
You missed out.
I've grinded Matt Damon for three days straight and haven't gotten a single Oblivion Coat. Thanks for reading my blog.
I want marriageable pawns, frick the dragon and frick the seneschal let me romance my pawnwife.
Pawns literally turn into their owner over time.
I would frick myself I see no problem there.
SHE-GOAT
https://streamable.com/z9j2ev
as much as I love the she-goat, Julien is right
He's right, but that doesn't mean I'm not going to kill him in the duel and resurrect him for that shield anyway.
You will retract those words, ser!
Does anyone know when Reynard's escort quest expires? Do I have time to grab the Portcrystal in the everfall and run it to the greatwall on my own?
I've never been able to keep this homosexual alive
Ive seen you post this multiple times. Just look it up moron.
take a mage, sneak through soulflayer canyon
he can be healed, as long as he doesn't die in one hit which shouldn't even happen in hard mode
avoid the bandit fricks though, their rangers hit hard
Why did they make Throwblasts so good? I just speed ran through the first part of BBI and killed the gazer by just chucking 50 some bombs at him at level 20
Bros I can't do it, sorcerer on hard mode is driving me insane.
Bought it with over 80% discount and still felt robbed. What a shitty ass borefest of a game. In 2 hours I made no decisions other than picking out of THREE classes, all combat is just spamming attack button. Frick this game.
>he got filtered by the intro
>Dude game is good after X hours!!
the fact that it took you hours to do the tutorial is the embarrassing part anon
So is "tutorial" what you fanboy copers call it when a game keep sucking ass for many, many hours?
>It's good after 666 hours dude!!
lmao you just can't accept not everyone is a shit eater like you
You know when you watch people play a game you like, and they are like moronic as frick and don't know anything about it?
Like they are playing Super Mario Brothers and don't even know it has jumping kind of moronic.
That's you.
Well, is not the game's fault you lack good taste.
you havent unlocked any classes or skills yet
It has a fairly slow janky start that ramps up into a crescendo of amazing story, amazing abilities, and then you hit the literal cliff face of unfinished content of literal despair.
I don't think I've ever felt this way about a game.
Doing any side quest on hard seems really fricking stupid so far
How's this game on the switch? Can I play offline on a plane/at work?
In offline mode you will only see randomly generated pawns (except your main pawn which you customize).
But say for example you hire two player pawns while at home in online mode. They will get stored in your game so when you go offline mode they are still there.
Does it run ok on the switch?
Stable 30fps. Both the Xbone and PS4 versions are locked to 30 as well.
I don't recall having any issues with it anon. Was a very pleasant game, just watch your ass around trolls/cyclops.
>all combat is just spamming attack button
Get a load of this homosexual.
Don't care for minmaxing but care for having the most stamina. How would you get that?
Ranger
ranger gets the most but no one gets shafted because ever y vocation uses it.
Been playing pretty much every vocation to full level except 2 and currently playing MK and I feel like my stamina is gone pretty quick so having as much as possible would be nice but then i have no magic power.
what level?
Long at 200 so nothing to do with this character anymore but maybe for next time.
fugg how long you beating on that cannon? relax bro.
Not that anon, but GODDAMN I cannot stop bonging on that drum lmao
>my thread is there
kek
Damn she-goat needs duel correction!!
My next pawn during my next playthrough will be a loose she-goat(and that will be her name). now i just wonder how often shell be summoned compared to the tame looking knight pawn i had.
>find bawd pawn in the rift that I like the look of AND has good AI
>only level 50 so can't keep forever
Bros...
just favorite and grab her later when leveled
>guy doesn’t get on anymore
what then
Both based and logical choices. Hopefully keeping her around for a while and sending her back with gorillions in RC and BBI gear will encourage the Arisen in question.
Add to your friends list and harass them.
Do you think they will upgrade the pawn ai to be a neural network with chatbot?
Maybe we would be able to romance our own pawns, would be cool.
Pawn:
>Llirianne
>Lillian
>lvl 43
>steam
how the hell is her magick so high
>that mask
kinda ruin her look
I gifted him a bbi3 weapon and the madman got a fricking staff for her!
I think the mask is cute and it protects against silence.
How did you get the adept robe at lvl 43?
I modded her.
Thought it was pretty obvious.
>my pawn is competing against haxors
The game was rigged from the start, even on vee
PS4 welcomes you, we need more active pawns.
But I can't afford PS+ anon and I'm a frameprostitute!
More importantly my brother still has my PS4, really should get that back. It's been three goddamn years. /blog
>30fps
I'm
. Post your pawn, if you will. If the levels don't match, I'll favorite them so I can use them later - I'll be playing until I reach max level and then some, don't worry.
You don't need hax to get the robe. Just run trough bbi to the first warrior's rest and get the key for the reward doors. That robe is there.
You are not me. Llirianne is my pawn. No mods were used.
>I modded her.
Into the brine she goes.
Have you never had your pawn come back dressed up in new threads?
I make a habit of equipping any low level pawns I rent with the best shit I have. I’ve never played as blue, and neither has my pawn, so every lowbie mage I rent gets some sweet free gear.
>duskmoon tower
Bro your barrel trick?
Bro. you've never toss your own pawn into the brine just so you can beat half the game and get easy low level summons after decking them out in mid game gear? Seriously its how I farm rift crystals early game til I can run through BBI no problem.
Not him, but how does that work?
No mods, that anon is lying he's not me.
I just clipped trough the gate, although you can just run to get the key and then run trough a wieneratrice to get a free orb key.
Leveled to 45, going to sleep for now.
Will try to get better clothes for her tomorrow.
Good spells, approved.
Thank you anon.
Should I get malestorm?
i think we can all agree that the best romance options Quina right
I take comfy naps on bitterblack because it's free.
Rather cozy this place. Save the perpetual darkness.
>only ever played on hard mode because more gold
>can't play on normal anymore without feeling overpowered
I feel like part of the experience is a little ruined now, but having bats able to murder you is kinda funny
hard mode shits on warriors so hard dude. warriors live and die by their ability to stagger and knock down opponents, it's their whole thing (because god knows it ain't damage). the 3 skill limitation already puts them in a tough enough situation, but giving enemies much higher stagger/kd thresholds on top of that? it just fricks their whole shit up
warriors got done dirty in this game and hard mode just does them dirtier
they're fun as frick to play at least but goddamn
hard mode is a meme difficulty anyway. it's just a number bump and a scattered one at that.
I agree, but given how easily frickbusted you can get in DD I guess it's really the only way the game can sort of bite back
>number bump
You literally just take increased damage, do less stagger damage and get more exp/money.
yeah those are the numbers that get bumped on their end and it's not even across the board, thus scattered.
You also use up a lot more stamina than normal, which can be a huge pain in the ass.
It creates a checkpoint save. As does entering the rift through a riftstone.
>my thread is there
I shouldn't feel smug about something so trivial
How do people find out the best shit in this game?
Do you have to be autistic?
of a kind
Yes.
In DD2 ill wait and let anons figure this shit out
Ill snag up their minions and yeah
This is the only game that I've ever made alt accounts for, just so that I could have multiple pawns at once. I really hope they go off the fricking rails with pawns in DD2 and make them as aughtistically intricate as possible.
I just hope for multiple saves or something. I'm not juggling steam accounts.
Any good cosmetic mod packs? I've played it like 4 times so I'm bored of the OG sets
Not really, making mods for this game is a nightmare.
People haven't even managed to put in the Berserk armours from PS3, you're boned.
I hope you are a ranged class and not your pawns
Will DD2 have really good graphics like DMC5?
I will always laugh about how much Sony despised this game
Why wasnt Capcom cancelled for having 2 naked damsels in distress in the game? Lady and Trish were both naked after you save them
my mans is too powerful at this point. he did trish dirty tho.
I like DMCV's Trish, nothing will ever be Gloria though
trish was hot in 1 as well
Trish always had a bit of a nose, anon
very ingenuine, I am disappointed in you
>Trish always had a bit of a nose, anon
post your nose right now
D:
no
I HATE YOU, I FRICKING HATE YOU
Goddamit
I was hoping for a happy merchant.
>Save this on your computer!
>.png
No thanks.
Meanie.
The trick is to fill the outer edge with another color. This reveals that most of that inside is pointless islands. Here it is without them.
My mom died in January.
>Trish always had a bit of a nose
>yeah bro if I remove all lighting and filters and just slap the model in a vacuum that will really show him
4 Trish is peak performance, oh my goodness. Lady cannot compete.
>I like DMCV's Trish
What makes you think Sony despises this game?
they put hugeass lens flare filters over all of the scenes with slightly uncovered women in a very passive aggressive manner
and Capcom still gave them DMCVSE
>they put hugeass lens flare filters over all of the scenes with slightly uncovered women in a very passive aggressive manner
It's on xbox too though
I hope they don't use facescans for DD2.
they will
Is everyone going to do video essays about DD now?
Does resting at an Inn create a checkpoint save or just a regular one?
It says checkpoint save complete.
i've finally brute-forced through the game after dropping it 3 times and honestly, it sucks, they have a couple of good ideas but they're either implemented poorly or aren't enough to ignore how garbage the rest of the game is.
Trish and Lady are like nearly 50 years old or something in DMC5
Okay, is it just me, or are the loading times in this game loooooooooooooong?
Playing PC on an SSD but with mods.
You're not alone. Load times are strangely long while other games load in a couple seconds with my SSD. I can't imagine what they're like on a HDD.
The quality of the ai hunters in Rise is making me optimistic for DD2. Each having little characteristics and shoutouts is really doing it.
I wonder if Rise is being used as a test ground for other mechanics like the movement.
I like my cute morons tho. The Rise webms unironically look like they play the game for them.
>get close to a pack of wolves/direwolves
>can back off to not anger them
>get close to a pack of hell hounds
>they attack you regardless of distance
They still get battered if you leave the monster to fight them alone, the 2nd one you fight alongside even mentions how everyone hates pairing with her and it turns out she doesn't heal or do much in the way of support at all.
But having them do switch skills in tandem with you or say "hold your ground for a minute" before wirebugging away and coming back riding a monster is better than most games helpers.
Metal Golems are the reason changing vocations is a thing. I spent 2 hours yesterday beating the one in the Witchwood as a Warrior in hard mode. my pawn was a Sorcerer so she was equally useless. meanwhile any yellowgay could've done it in 2 minutes
>go to the tree before it wakes up
>spam go with ranger/strider pawn
it's really that simple. you can end that fight before it starts. the everfall one is annoying since you have to climb and jump.
Haha, oh shit I see my post.
i cannot for the fricking life of me roll any better magic archer weapons, god damn
Magick bows are in the yellow vocation pool, try Arisen strider pawn Strider
Cute bookworm.
we got another one boys
fricking off all the way to bloodwater beach at low level is always really fun for me, even if there's nothing plot-related over there
how else are you going to put down a portcrystal there early to beat the game by doing every single escort quest?
By not bothering with escort quests
I always look forward to the trek to bloodwater beach on a fresh playthrough.
Jump attacks are basically a skill for Warrior. They have the best jump light and best jump heavy.
based. no one who actually like the action, adventure, or RPG aspects of games can actually hate dragon's dogma. the worst legitimate criticisms you'll get is people complaining there isn't more to it.
I couldn't get into after going past 2 major quests despite being what I thought was being pretty thorough and still missing a ton of shit. I was wondering why all my friend's pawns were low level.
The jump button was reserved for a dodge that never happened. Dagger classed get a roll mapped to it. Best hope for a warrior dodge is Escape slash which has I-frames.
escape/exodus is better anyway since the i-frames are fat and it counter attacks with massive stagger.
tru
pretty much what I'm doing, I'm 62 hours in and now finally ready to start the endgame... if i wasn't collecting all those shitty badges of vow, pretty much the only thing I dislike so far
>badges of vow
what are they for, anyway?
seems to just give RC, was told it's for offline players so it's basically useless to do, but frick it, im at 80 so im finishing it tommorow
based but some you actually need to be in quests like Deny Salvation.
yeah i got 39 and 40 in the greatwall, didn't go there yet since im sure it starts endgame.
>This class fricking sucks but Arc of Deliverance is so addicting that I keep fricking playing it
Ah, so the feeling has been put into words.
I hope DD 2's warrior is just 6 slots of Arc of Deliverance with different names and visual effects but they all do the exact same thing
>Is there really ever a need to jump while holding the skill button?
Yes, there's an augment that boosts attacks when jumping and some skills can be used mid jump for the sake of maneuverability, like tenfold flurry
Sigurd guy, your girl is on her way back. Dunno how much crystals she managed pack but hope enough to be of use
I liked this track. Conan esque
*breathes stinky shit breath in your face*
>bro just hear me out bro
>hellhounds right? but giant and also poisonous
>sounds kickass but wolves usually hunt in packs right?
>who said these didn't :^)
glad this dude left for SE. Garm are actually pretty simple on warrior tho.
Everything is simple on warrior if you know what you're doing
>start charging Arc of Assblast
>give a "GO" command the pawns
>they aggro whatever I want to smack
>tell them to "COME" back
>smack some b***hes
Simple as
strategy at its basest is just how you choose to apply the brute force available to you. for my money, nothing hits like a "frick you die" slam with a side risk of suicide.
>sending Armor into a pit with one carefully planned Arc
That there right there the thing to live for truly. What frickin second phase when I can just delete em folks like a man without those gay ass candy ass fairy magic poof shit like some prancing homo
Wait a fricking minute, you can order pawns around? I beast Daimon 2 earlier today and didn't know that. I never understood how to get the little morons to do anything other than commentate.
F1, F2, and F3
It's in the tutorial
Well hot fricking damn, I have been playing the same save since it came out on 360 so the tutorial was like 10 years ago
don't bother ordering them around. learn what inclinations are and what they do, and how to use them.
>tfw you want a fighter pawn but he keeps picking up Guardian automatically and just stands near you doing nothing
It's only "Go, Help and Come" but it can be useful to encourage them to be aggressive or to disengage.
I want some destruction like you can get from throwing Goliath in DMCV to make it into DD2
this hype is so fricking fake, the original was not that good
okay moron
it has always been beloved here though
More people have been playing this game for the past two weeks than any of the souls game on steam and that series has sold 4 or 5 x more copies than Dragon's Dogma ever did.
All those players are fake too?
Most of the Dark Souls playerbase was for the horrible PvP (hilarious, I know). They've been dying ever since Bamco shut down the multiplayer.
in this moment I regret picking warrior
meanwhile on fighter dragon's maw absolutely bullies them
>he doesn’t know about the divine defense exploit
sure smells like strider scrub aroundnhere
>divine defense has a point
brb going to go change my fighter shield skills
>he didn't pick ecliptic slash
>he missed the exodus slash
I know that feel bro...
Git gud
equip a couple of these and suddenly Warrior makes a lot more sense. 200 more stagger and knockdown is no joke
For me it's either this or Ogre Bones (to not lose out on stagger/knockdown resistance while having style that isn't entirely tied to BBI). Makes it really hard to justify even purifying bitterblack gear.
Warrior 3rd tier skills are pretty good, but Barbed Nails are just nuts. it's amazing for every single vocation
1 barbed nail + GDF BBI2/3 weapon + Arc of Obliteration can literally send elder ogres flying.
I think the ideal is ~600 knockdown/stagger. Use Barbed Nails and Impact to get in that range and you'll be golden. If you have Bitter End you don't even need Barbed Nails.
warrior's jumping lights and sorc's jumping heavy are enough to faceplant a charging eliminator
pawns quickly pick up on the sorcerer one too
pls rate my pawn
would hire, though the purple trim of the cloak is god awful. clashes with everything else.
it bugs me a lot too.
wish the game had some sort of dye system in it, id make it stone to match the rest of the outfit.
thanks fren
It's in monster hunter so it'll hopefully be in DD2 too
it took me 4 hours of constant retries to beat the dual Drakes in Sprayard of scant mercy.
holy frick
frick these things
>wanna see me do it again :^)
that room is one where I pop periapts especially if it's a frostwyrm
yeah but i don't want to pop them there since i need them for daimon right after.
i COULD just run past them but I am not someone who skips fights
I bought this shit for less than the cost of a bag of chetos, I don't expect anything from it but with so much talk about it im starting to have hope
its pretty good
I just beat offline Ur-Dragon. It took three goes before we finally got his health down. I probably chose poorly with my pawns so it took a while.
took me three tries the other day as well so I guess that's average for first timers. the last frickin heart was on the wing for me though. had to climb the bastard and jump to swing at it.
Same spot for me too at the end. Spooky. Though I was MA so it was a lot easier.
need some fashion tips for magick archer. the usual stuff you'd use for a ranger looks okay, but it's lacking the mystical touch I'm looking for.
ancient circlet or any other golden circlet
crimson robe
silver chestplate + silk lingerie (if female)
bonds of the dragon or any sort of golden wristbands
scale graves or any other sort of golden anklets
no cape
there you go fren enjoy
>DD2 is going to be based on the RE engine
What are the odds they will censor the shit out of customization?
On the other hand
>All of those inevitable coomer mods
>What are the odds they will censor the shit out of customization?
don't see why they would. SF and REmake homies seems to be a separate team from everyone else.
>What are the odds they will censor the shit out of customization?
in what moron world does engine determine censorship
in doomBlack person world
Making e-girl pawns and having them wear lingerie in an engine that makes characters look like clay is one thing, but on an engine that makes them look hyper realistic is another thing.
Character size a part of the gameplay, so I doubt they'd remove it. At worse they would change certain clothing on smaller characters.
I find it awkward with KB+M so I play with a PS4 controller.
M+KB is perfectly serviceable, and arguably better for any bow vocation.
I've done full playthroughs with controller and kb+m. I did well with both. I rebinded sprint/grab/sheathe to what I liked.
M+KB is no issue whatsoever so is dark souls, sekiro, ER etc. but homosexuals keep making big deals out of those for some reason
MKB is better than controller if you rebind some things. Menus are awkward but you can just navigate them with keys.
wrong thread, dynasty warriors thread is down the way. good taste tho.
DD is light-heavy.
most off DD's combat/action variance comes through niche skills. the basic light/heavy combat is actually a little simpler than your model since it doesn't work backwards. it's still based.
Cyclopes are the biggest goobers I swear
>kill cyclops
>drops 2 misshapen eyes
It's a Biclops.
I got three once.
I just got three last night too.
just keeping a snack handy
>2 misshapen eyes
Bet those were his testies lmao.
That little jump they do is kinda cute
How important is shield stability or whatever it's called? I really like the Grand Soren shield and wanted to take it to the endgame. Should I bother dragonforging it?
Dragonforging makes all equipment viable.
Idgaf about kbm
i originally played this game for 300 hours on the 360 with a controller and I am not dealing with the bullshit Kb/m controls. just pop in a Logitech gamepad, emulate it as Xbox controller using xinput, ezpz proper button prompts
>buy Dragon's Dogma in steam sale based on threads
>actually play it
So uh when does it get good
Depends. Give it 5 or 6 hours at least to see if you like it.
When you stop asking and keep playing.
I spent more time than I'd like to admit staring at pictures of feet today, bit I think they're looking better in the drawing now
You do understand you must make Ur Dragon version after the initial one?
I'm only drawing this because I promised I would if DD2 got announced.
I will draw the Uooohhhr Dragon when we get gameplay footage.
Nice job drawfren
Do they not realize that a dozen other people have probably already made new threads with that exact same image seconds before they hit post?
What are some attack MK can absolutely not block? I can't seem to block the dragon grab or fire for instance.
depends on your shield upgrade level
you cannot block grapples regardless
why do people call the black cat gear op, all the weapons give me less attack than what im currently using? the passives dont seem that strong for the most part.
they all have special niches
and most of them look like shit
>do more damage to goblins
epic
Iraklis is kinda fun. And anti-dragon longsword is alright
get iraklis
destroy BBI
>check wiki since i'm too lazy to open up the game
>check wounded fury first
There's such a thing as too niche. Imagine somebody walking in on your Seneschal if you used it though and seeing it's equipped if they know.
>Iraklis
>periapts
>double nails
>force hatcher + bow asasasasasssin
>Missed the 40th Badge of Vows because party steamrolled the bosses in a nano second
FRICK YOU I KNEW I SHOULD'VE BACKED UP MY STUPID FRICKING SAVE
I wish I could have more than one pawn on a single save, just because I like making them
Pretty much everyone thinks this. They're fun to make and share and shit
I hope they hire more than 4 VAs for the pawns in DD2.
i honestly couldn’t care less about the VA as long as they keep up to the standards of the first game.
shit they could give us animal crossing voices and id still be happy.
its rare for gems from the PS3 era to retain their quality in their modern day sequels and thats what worries me the most about DD2
have the waifu wars for this game already been settled.
quina is definitely s tier
mercedes and madeleine are the fan favourites. some people like selene even though she's an eyebrowless weirdo.
Made for shota wiener
I want a Brine boss fight in DD2. Free the waters from that age-old menace.
the brine is your friend. use it to dispose of undesirables.
>arisen comes from a fishing village
>villagers emphasize this by how they address you (goodfisher, minnow, etc)
>dies to some red mist in a pond
It know it's for gameplay reasons, but still.
Not even the saltiest fishermen venture far from shore, I hear.
In older days many sailors didn't know how to swim.
Even worse
>MC is probably a fisherman by profession
>No fishing mini game
>No crab trap crafting system
>No fishing net weaving mini game to sell for profits
The game is suddenly worse for some reason.
DD2 will deliver
>go fishing
>reel in some sea serpent
>QUEST: AMBUSH
>battle music ensues
>sirens and sea bishops as common mobs
>mermaid beloved
what the frick is this?
the lighthouse
Sex 2
>DD 2
>Sex 2
We can't stop winning sequel bros
You have no idea how many times I exploited that half second of stagger after someone hit my shield to grab their ass and kick them off a ledge.
I never played this game before. It is it worth playing?
no, we're all just ironically discussing a game not worth playing
So I actually cleared out The Lost City. My strat was
>Be assassin
>Bring three sorcs, no healers, no tanks but myself
>Beeline it straight to the two Thunderwyrms as fast as I can
>moron pawns fail to follow over the rooftops, stumble near the Wyrm roofs
>Beeline it to the dragons, Dire Gouge the absolute shit out of their hearts, melt those healthbars
>Meanwhile sorcs are getting raped by four Eliminators downstairs
>Burst down both the dragons, then rescue my pawns as best I can
>Cursed dragon spawns just as I jump down into the streets
>Whatever, there's no time
>Revive pawns , hiding under the narrow roofs from the rotten dragon breath
>Kite and chip away at the eliminators until my pawns manage to line up a triple High Bolide, turning BBI into Sieverodonetsk
>This kills the Eliminators
>Deal with Cursed Dragon, equip my pawn's gear at the last frame before the kill to get it dragonforged
>Clean out the town step by step, eliminator by eliminator
>Now, armor frickfest
>Open with Sundering Spear scroll and Surging light to keep them occupied
>Run in and swing away
>Actually deal decent damage, almost strip the armor off most of them before Sundering Spear runs out
>Enhanced Response and Masterful Kill is your friend 🙂
>Slashing and flipping and parrying like a ferret on crack
>Armors eventually come off
>One Triple High Bolide and it's over
Holy frick what an experience. The endgame of this dungeon is bonkers.
God, what a cool game. The sequel has a high bar to clear
Good shit anon, sounds like you had a blast.
It's battles like this that people who got filtered early game will never get to experience.
>laughs at you from a distance
I'd laugh too if I saw some little girl coming to fight me
I killed my first drake the other day. I had no good ice spells so I was stuck spamming high levin on the heart and that eventually did it in.
honestly all ice spells suck
frazil is frazil
frigor would be fine but even against hellhounds and stuff weak to ice i do better dps with charged levin, and the fact that the spike is delayed means it misses a lot of the time
and gicel takes forever to cast to be used as a bread and butter spell
>honestly all ice spells suck
What the frick am I reading
you heard me
I haven't heard you correctly.
Frigor sucks, I hit a lizard's tail with it and it didn't even pop the tail off.
are there side quests in this game and are they good?
Yes
Yes
gonna pirate it rn then
Is there a consensus on the best endgame healing item? I've always used spring water bottles because of group healing, but the healing itself is pretty shit and gathering it is a bit of a bother even when placing a portcrystal nearby.
I just buy Salubrious Brew from Barroch whenever it's in stock.
Lordly tonic or whatever it's called is my choice
I just buy loads of potent greenwarish. Been wondering if something else was more efficient for a while.
bottles filled with springwater?
Kingwarish
It would definitely be the best option if you could purchase it. Still, it's interesting to me that judging from the answers there really is no obvious go-to healing item, it's largely preference.
for stamina you should just wait for Fournivals fat ass to leave his house post game and buy like 500 mushroom potages so you never have to wait for him again
the stuff Barroch sells is really good, and Kingwarish is very efficient (but not super quick to farm)
springwater is easy to get a bunch of, but it's not very weight-efficient
going with
and
Kingwarish is light for the healing it provides
She just got a makeover. Will anyone be kind enough to take her out on a date?
>sorceress
>wearing mercedes' armor
enjoy missing out on the online aspect of the game
online games are for Black folk
A big feature is playing with other player's pawns and trying to make yours worth hiring by other's.
There's this dress but I don't like its looks
Probs my brightness setting or the ENB I'm using
how about using normal armor instead of DLC meme shit that got handed to you for free
why is your game so fricking dark
I would've hired her if not for the costume.
She's about my level so I want to hire her. Is there an easier way to look for pawns other than to get lucky? I set my search conditions ot sorc, female only. Found an Eve but it was a different one...
(me)
Anon... don't tell me I did find the correct pawn but you put her in that stupid dress?
Nah she's still wearing this
Found her after all. Probably will take a while before you see the RC (i sleep now) but she'll be part of my adventures!
>Decide to start a new save because of these threads
>Rest
>Get 907,613 RC from old Pawn
your new pawn should also have all the quest and bestiary knowledge from your old pawn
the most realistic and understandable thing about DD is immediately killing yourself when you don't get the roll you wanted
>running through the fields near Gran Soren fighting some shitty bandits
>"GRIFFIN!"
>it starts swooping down and fricking with the bandits too
forgot the image
Post THAT one thing that makes you decide whether you hire a pawn or you just hire them to get them BRINE'D.
Dress/funny hat
if a pawn looks good and has good skills and fits my needs then I hire them. I don't hire pawns to brine them, but I always brine pawns wearing the dutchess set.
ratings: -
If they have the dress, I hire them, put them in the clown suit and brine them.
>not having dragonforged jester sets beforehand just to possibly tempt them with stats
You're doing the loathsome jester routine wrong.
You've convinced me, I'm going to start dragonforging clown suits to throw on people.
never brine, that's a dick move. Don't hire princess dress/ugly hat pawns, looks shit. Look at inclinations, if complete trash no hire. Skills depend on what I'm looking for. A sorc without at least a holy buff and at least a fire and ice spell is no hire. If a sorc has tornado no hire.
>never brine, that's a dick move.
orc women, goofy fricks that look like the player put time into them and well done cosplays usually get instantly hired by me. pretty much any of the one item armor sets and little effort get a water grave. and by little effort i mean people who have little character customization or no upgrades to any of their pawns equipment.
I never hire pawns to brine, too much work. But as far as dealbreakers for hiring;
>unupgraded/hobo equipment after the early levels
>the dlc outfits
>guardian or nexus
>default guts face
>good looks (they needn't be traditionally handsome or beautiful, but must be pleasant to look at. no lolsorandumbxd shit with mismatched gear, please - I'm also tired of looking at the same full Lv.3 BBI armor sets all the time, they all look horrible, so I don't hire pawns wearing those either)
>good gear (as in upgraded as highly as possible)
>good skillset
>good augments
>good inclinations
Pawns need all 5 of these things for a hire from me. I often spend hours in the rift because of this and I hate it, but I can't help it. Be fashionable (and functional!) or die, fricker.
>brine
I don't hire just to feed the brine, but after a long time in the rift, when I come out with a fresh new pawn and I'm immediately greeted by a highly distorted goblin voice, I feel betrayed. Into the sea they go.
https://ddda.lennardf1989.com/
>good inclinations
I approach it in the opposite way. You want to avoid the bad inclinations, any combination of the good inclinations (or no inclinations even) is better than having even one of the bad ones.
I'm not that flexible. Unless the pawn is REALLY good looking, I ain't hiring their blue/yellow Scather primary ass.
In that context it's a bad inclination to you, so I'm right.
Yeah, sure.
Not an essay (though it's just as long), but it's a fair assessment.
I hate this "best 7/10 game ever made" shit. It's just the most unfinished 10/10 game ever made.
That's why it's 7/10, anon. It's unfinished.
Literally every game above a 7/10 should be bumped down then because every dev has had ambitions they weren't able to meet.
Pat was only right about ONE thing in his life and that was Melee players.
He's right about DD, "best 7/10 game ever made" is just a meme. What did he say about Melee players?
>scather bad
>on yellow/sorcerer
What? I'd rather have scather on them than a red. And it's my preference for sorcerers.
Scather makes em wanna climb
No it doesn't. I've had challenger and mitigator pawns climb just as often as scathers. It just makes them more likely to fight large enemies and thus more likely to be able to climb.
Don't equip climbing augments and they're not going to climb.
Having eminence equipped makes pawns jump more. Inclinations don't affect it.
>eminence makes pawns jump more
I don't believe you.
It does and if they have aerial skills equipped it will make them jump vefore using them.
>I'd rather they pick off ranged targets first.
That I get. Challenger is the other one I like on sorcerers. I just think people are way too weird about scather.
Princess dress is a no-no.
Skills like exequy on sorcerers
All 3 shield skills on fighters
Rangers with dagger skills
>*cquisitor/guardian
When's Grace period?
Whenever Amazing Grace starts playing.
Should be around 8 healthbars now
I'm on my third attempt at enjoying this game. First attempt was on playstation, the second on pc, this third is on steamdeck. I think it finally clicked.
It also took my three tried to get into
currently sitting at 250+ hours
Damn my spelling took a fat shit just then.
poast current arisens
just beat Ashe's horny little ass and got the real dungeon unlocked
Still having fun boss-rushing the Everfall
OH GOD
OH FRICK
I played through the game as MA but switched to ranger to test some stuff so I didn't try too hard on the outfit.
>arisen mystic knight with brilliance
>main fighter pawn with brutish wall
>level 112
>still see pawns with princess outfit
Why do people use the princess outfit? Is it really that good?
Do I want to do BBI on hard? The few times I've tried it before filtered me on normal though I was nowhere near as prepared as I am now.
It's fine. You'll level up a lot. Pack some wakestones, use a good party.
hard mode scaling is lowered in BBI to stop it from getting too fricked up.
>had this happen
>saw I was playing on easy mode for my NG++ bitterblack run
>really just thought it was due to being level 200
I didn't beat the game.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH
FORGIVE ME
FORGIVE MEEEEE
I'll take 10!
What video essay on dragons dogma is best
wtf this isnt a video essay thank god
Just watch the one with most views
>video essay
Haha funny thought, what if the all female bandits kidnapped your e-girl pawn what do you think they'd do to her haha
It's so sad that Grigori died of dogma
What's a dogma?
Not much, what's ma with you?
Dogma balls
Dragon?
I finished the game with a female character and a male pawn, i felt like a troony at the end and it felt really strange
>i felt like a troony
Because you killed yourself?
Kek, I didn't tought about it. Kino ending though
>female character and a male pawn
I think might already be a massive homosexual
the most troony combo is a female arisen/female pawn. yours might be pretty troony as well but it depends on how you personally envisaged them
>Know for sure you don't need to minmax and that it's just autism
>Still can't bring myself to play MK on my mostly Red playthrough because it scales almost entirely off of magic and has pitiful strength gains
Why is my magic heavy armour + sword man such a strlet?? Why am I plagued by such aughtism?
>didn't realize advancing the main quests gates off a ton of quests
oh god oh frick
thank god I did quina's quest before going to the everfall
>quina
I bet you have plain toast for breakfast too
ah man, this manga really deserves more love. frick the anime tho
It's a special type of author that'll redraw and entire chapter as a joke. Frick the anime indeed.
>ywn get the "actually i am" scene at the end adapted
sauce?
some dumb nippon name. i may find it. give me a sec.
jitsu wa watashi wa
Thanks anons.
Didn't recognize it at all even though I read the first few chapters of it before getting bored. Guess I'll start reading it again.
Jitsu wa Watashi wa. It's got a very rough start but about 20ish chapters in the author finds his footing and makes one of those romcoms that you look back on and say "I'll never read it for the first time again". Probably my favourit romance manga. Great reaction images too.
true. i see the principal often enough. also, my favorite romcom as well.
there, found it
Jitsu wa Watashi wa
Well, it's not like you're going to play it only once
Oh, I'm sorry, she's taken
Mason is a good guy though. He wouldn't cuck you when he got plenty of nuns around
I hope the nights are still really fricking dark in 2.
>roaming outside Gran Soren at night
>only light source is from rising skeletons
>wolves suddenly jumping at you from the darkness
>taking a break near a bonfire at empty encampments
Love it so much
what kind of game is this? like skyrim? I only see one dogma game on steam
It's an action RPG like Skyrim or Dark Souls only it leans heavier on the action side. Different classes feel properly different, lots of fun little details, very unfinished. Don't expect a complete product but it's full of soul.
I tried getting her bow to 3* but the loot gods were not kind to me with a mane
Should I go to BBI? I have 100 hours and looped twice already but I just like killing the Everfall monsters too much
Also is it worth staying at Very light as strider? I feel like I carry too much healing shit so I'm always distributing stuff to pawns but I'm not sure it's worth it
Yes. BBI is a little similar to Everfall with some of the monsters and arena potential. Strider is very good and very light makes you faster so its more fun.
The game has a lot of flaws anon. The potential is massive and the game is still great but so much can be improved upon.
Whatever flaws it has doesn't stop it from being one of the best, and my personal favorite, games in the genre.
>thread is about to hit autosage
>no PS4 pawns were posted but my own
My sorcerer is on PS4
What's your ID? I'll hook you up with something nice.
OfElDorado
Mine is only like level 10 and I'm not worrying about RC yet
Sorry anon
Why the frick would anyone play on PS4
They're poorgays like me
i'm pretty sure it's got the most players and no hacked pawns to suck up all the hires
actually I'm not sure about the players part I think I may just be thinking of Ur Dragon generations
Hacked pawns can't get hired bro.
one of the top pawns has a greatsword and shield bros
Show us this specimen. I'll go rate it 1 star.
Hacked pawns get autobanned instantly.
Is your Arisen supposed to have been a pawn before the beginning of the game, or just a regular human?
Did you like, play the first 10 minutes of the game? Because that answers your question
No but in a meta sense for if you beat the game, pawns are NPCs and so are the rest of the characters. The Arisen is chosen because he isn't an NPC. The will that gets referred to in game is the will of the player. Up until the point you take control and become Arisen you are essentially an NPC.
>DD's online support will die in your lifetime
Just beat the dragon and saw how it fricked the world up.
Jesus Christ I wish they could have finished the game. The stupid hunting for wakestones seems so half baked...
Finish that shit, the ending is kino. Then go to BBI once you get in NG+.
Immediately to BBI after NG+? I thought maybe I should do it before that, no?
Go into NG+ first or the ending will hang over your head the entire time you do BBI. Trust me.
Sure, makes sense.
No not after NG+, at the beginning of NG+. Just reach Gran Soren or something for the sake of it then go to Cassardis at night. Also if you want to enable hard mode do it after entering NG+ so you don't have to reset your game later.
>Also if you want to enable hard mode do it after entering NG+
I've already been playing hard mode... What do you mean by this?
>What do you mean by this?
If you enable hard mode in the middle of normal mode it will reset your playthrough (but you keep your character as if it was ng+)
Oh ok. Phew. I thought it had something to do with the suicide knife you get after Grigori
There are some BBI quests that will be unavailable to you if you're post-Gregor.
BBI's difficulty is meant for post game to NG+ and the story requires you to understand the main plot.
>give pawn 40 periapts
>uses them all in one fight
>It always my pawn that's pissing off the chained cyclops
I appreciate her spirit for violence, but she's punching way out of her league.
>death fricks off ever bar you drain
>keep getting the same fricking longbow on every purification
I think I'm done with this game
>death fricks off ever bar you drain
Just kill him harder so he can't
>keep getting the same fricking longbow on every purification
just checking but you're not trying to savescum the purification right? That doesn't work
no you tard I've gotten the same ranger bow on every BBIlvl2 purification I've done since Daimon 1
>just killed him harder xddd
kys
>give some panacea to my pawns
>...
>come across a body of water
>we all get drenched near the center
>they use like 6 panacea to wipe the water off their bodies while crossing it
WHYY
I can't trust those fricks with panaceas. They always waste them on the dumbest shit.
Give them it only when they are already petrified.
