This is so boring and painful to play even if that was intent. Should I just watch a YouTube playthrough before I start with Nier?

Some people will say the suffering adds to the experience and they're not wrong but it's not really worth it. Just watch it on youtube.
>16 year old complains about game being slow even though it's a musou
LOL anyways since I understand you're probably on your phone ever waking second you're better watching a playthrough because you won't appreciate the game anyways. Honestly, just skip it because your low IQ will prevent you from understanding any of the themes and you DEFINITELY will not beat the true final boss so yea jsut skip it and move on to nier it's a little more casual for you
considering using commas in future
Its shit on purpose, dumb fricking zoomie
The pain is part of the experience. The shitty gameplay and music that sounds like your disc drive is busted is 100% intentional.
>even if that was intent
it isn't, the games development was a mess.
>Should I just watch a YouTube playthrough
zoom zoom.
yea don't listen to the fanboys, all the meat is in dialogue and cutscenes. you already know how tedious it is so you can fill in the blanks for the "experience".
I actually enjoyed the gameplay. In a world of overly complicated games with masses of button combos and fiddly systems, it was nice to return to something simple. Hell, the combat is basically a more wooden version of PSO.
>no you guys don't get it, it's supposed to be shit
Its ok anon not everybody has the IQ required to enjoy kusokino
I just want to take a moment to marvel at the fascinating linguistic phenomena that ended up at the word "kusokino". You need to be several flavors of terminally online to understand it.
What does "terminally online" even mean?
Just use cheats for the ground segments.
>Should I just watch a YouTube playthrough
Having completed the game recently, I'd say there is nothing wrong with going the route of watching a playthrough. Later parts of the game (mainly the ground segments) become so excruciatingly bad to play when the devs decided to introduce reviving HP sponges and laser bastards.
You will appreciate Nier more if you slog through the shit gameplay
I think actually playing Drakengard is a memorable experience, I don't think it would land the same way just watchin a plyathrough. I would say don't bother with it at all or just move on to NieR, but I wouldn't watch a playthrough of it.
Play it all the way up to Ending D, then watch ending E online.
Drakengard isn't actually a bad game. It's a typical musou and you actually have a lot of weapons and magic to choose from during combat that get exponentially more powerful as you progress. The aerial combat sections are the best parts of the game and fights like Wyrm, Inuart and Furiae are very thrilling battles. Furiae especially is reminiscent of Evangelion and requires a good control over flying in order to dodge each attack.
The only issue I found with the game was that it was frustrating to fight projectile-based enemies, especially groups of them, since the dodging is quite poor with it only being restricted to left or right. Camera doesn't help either with it only twisting to one side but not giving full 360 camera control. The final ending requirements are terrible.
Based actually played the fricking game. You listed the two biggest issues with the game besides maybe some of the tankier enemies and absolutely insane enemy counts, which at the same does serve to drive up the mania thematically.
