the game has incredible controls, which is part of why it's easy
it's only hard if you choose to speedrun it, or get 100% strawberries
this, tryed to play it back in the day and it was nice at the beginning but i figured out quickly that it's style is generick like other pixelshit on the market and this "oldschool" music. The messenger did all of shitleste parts better and without cringe plot.
I thought the story was pretty good, who cares if the creator wants it to be about transitioning?
I played it before the announcement and I thought it was ok, its a story about overcoming depression using metaphors for self assurance and support from others, its not setting the world on fire with some deep metaphysical takes but it's okay for what it set out to do.
Though my only critique had to be the pixel gameplay look, they had the budget for good looking stills and drawing, but the actual gameplay left me wanting more detail for the levels. I wish it wasn't a 'Super Meatboylike' with levels being pixel perfect jumps (doable but tedious imo) and death traps unless you memorize to perfect muscle memory.
