Eating has become a zeni tax per hunt but choosing the bonuses you want still customization aspect. I think that's a fine compromise since functionally the negatives were offset by builds anyhow.
Bland like rice but kinda sweet. Like sugary cardboard. It has a nastier granier texture than most would think. Put some sauce on it to make it savory cardboard
>Time to go hunt a giant deadly monster! >Hmm, what should I eat? A giant nutrient filled meal of fish, meat, and grains? >Or sugary lumps of pounded rice?
Dango pisses me off so much I barely played Rise.
>Bland
I played Rise fir like 10 hours on gamepass, watched the food cutscene once. I've been playing World since launch and I'll still watch the food cutscenes from time to time. I fricking hate the dango.
>doesnt deny it
Keep it up, Eustace! I'm sure one day you'll raise the money to get out of your moms basement for a week and try to live your life like an anime in Japan.
>straightforward food system, makes it easy to set up the skills you want for the hunt, and the food even changes to reflect player choices >"worst food system ever!" >obnoxiously convoluted food system, have to fiddle with several layers of menus to rig up the skills you want, also collecting ingredients is obnoxiously tedious. Food also almost never resembles the dish players order >"omg best food system ever"
>Main chef isn't even a cat
How the frick am I supposed to get nutrients if there's no fricking Palico fur in my meal? Get this human slop out of my hunter's canteen.
Portable team games are always soulless with food >drinks in P3rd >cheese in G/GU >dango in Riceborne
main team is the only one that puts effort the hubs and sideshit
Each ball having a separate buff is a cute idea but I still wish they went with any other Japanese food instead of what is functionally a confectionary sweet.
Even ramen would’ve been better.
>We've gone from Flashbombs being the most powerful hunting tool to them being absolutely fricking worthless

Real hunters don't eat huge meals before the hunt since part of hunting trekking, hunters eat out in the field.
I prefer to eat food hunted and prepared with the Gun Sword from Lost Planet 2 after it's been implemented as a new weapon class
I just want a new LP with good co-op again

I think Japanese food is fricking disgusting.
I'm sure your lack of taste has nothing to do with it.
Stop pretending to be Japanese.
You are not Japanese.
You are an Amerilard. Stop trying to run from what you are, like a troony.
Nice projection.
>doesnt deny it
Keep it up, Eustace! I'm sure one day you'll raise the money to get out of your moms basement for a week and try to live your life like an anime in Japan.
ESL is a helluva drug. You honestly think Eustace is a stereotypical American name?
American food is worse
You never had real Japanese food then. You should really try the chicken sashimi.

>Pturd
>no food only Onions
>Rise
>no alcohol, no meat, just onions on a stick
I was eating them before it was cool
I probably found out about these colored balls on a stick because of this game, too.
And never learned how they're named.
Japanese colored balls.
It was Katamari Damacy for me and I also had no clue what the hell they were
花見団子

So is that all the food in rise? I played it for like a couple of hours or so before uninstalling and that's all the food I could find
Don't ever play P3rd or GU if the appearance of food triggers you so hard.
Nah dude, i mean that if that was all the food? No other food like the steaks cooked in open fires or the big ass meals from the cats in world
Sunbreak still uses dango because capcom is a bunch of hacks
>food in Monster Hunter went from pic related to the OP
Rise was a mistake
Portable team games are always soulless with food
>drinks in P3rd

Each ball having a separate buff is a cute idea but I still wish they went with any other Japanese food instead of what is functionally a confectionary sweet.
Even ramen would’ve been better.
>spend all day hunting monsters
>get fed rice sticky rice balls

Too busy actually playing the game to get unreasonably upset over something as trivial as what food looks like.
>We've gone from Flashbombs being the most powerful hunting tool to them being absolutely fricking worthless
I get they were OP but frick World for making them simply stop working after like a single throw
Flying mons aren’t as nightmarishly annoying to fight in new gens so its a fair trade off I guess.
