bit high but if you plan on playing purely offline and without spirit summons thats fine then. im going in at 137 personally
aimbot wouldnt even matter in a game like elden ring. projectiles have slow travel speed and theres already lock on built in.
but i wouldnt pick any because it would make the game way less fun.
Noclip allows for no fall damage (you're floating with noclip) and wall hacks, as you can just pop through any wall and immediately retreat. You can also skip a ton of shit so it's basically a form of speed hack as well.

No Fall Damage will make exploration more fun.
I wont have to worry about if the akwardly tall cliff I want to jump off as a shortcut will either deal No Damage or Instakill me.
Rainbow stones tell you if a cliff is lethal or not?
I thought those were just for the off chance there might be an invisible path somewhere or maybe keep track of where you have been already.
I might respec some vigger to more damage just to give them a chance
Do varre's questline, its a lot easier than finding the portal to moghwyn palace in the endgame constipated snowfields.
Or go on r*ddit and ask for runes.
Get access to Mohg's area, go to Palace Approach Ledge-Road on the opposite end of where you spawn, slap the extra rune talisman on, then commit a genocide of the albinaurics sitting there while listening to a couple history documentaries. You get an insultingly high amount if you shoot the one crow that's walking around by the tree on the lower level, so grab a bow and shoot it once so it runs off the cliff and dies every time you do a run through of the batch sitting there
The fastest way in the game by far is using the sacred relic sword ash of war at the initial area in Mogh's palace to kill all the albinaurics, then resting at the grace and repeating. One cast of that ash of war will kill almost all of the albinauric enemies.

You can also run down to the blood swamp and let your 10+ mimic tear solo a bunch of them. Be sure to keep the flask that keeps your runes on death because their sonic rolls will kill you real fast. Pop a golden bird foot to while you're at it.
Don't bother RL 150+ unless you want to farm Mohg's Albinaurics blood addicts for hours on end.
Remember the playtesters used level 150 accounts under a time limit. Casual play will let you explore and test out new items without those restrictions.
I will try it at lvl 120, glanced a bit at that shitty red bull stream where they were playing it for few minutes and an ogre got 3shot with some flaming spread ass of war.
a long time fricking with sliders and constantly checking angles cause some things only look good forward facing or when turned to the side have ridges
He has like 7 hp so no one even learns the fight before they randomly kill him on their third attempt when he decides to go a little slower on the anime shit
I just uninstalled had enough of the jank despite this being like the tenth soul game you still have the same hitboxes, camera, ai problems. Frick it.
And I'm out of money and time before I go sleep under a bridge anyway.
hell no
I don't mind getting spoiled on random weapons and shit but 80% of the reason I play these games is exploring areas and looking for new stuff and running into unexpected things, I'm not going to let my first experience be second hand from some random twitch prostitutes
I'm making a new character but: >look up greatshields on wiki >the eclipse one looks nice and it's not too heavy >farm it >pic related appears every time I switch to it because apparently it also boosts some resistances
how the frick have they still not fixed this? it's annoying as hell, can I remove it?
Do resistance increases really take time to kick in, i.e. when the bar empties? Or is it genuinely messed up? It might be just a programming quirk, I wouldn't really get it
it increases your status bar, but it also immediately fills it for the same amount. It's fine for an armor piece where that's gonna happen only very occasionally, but on an armament it's more counterproductive than anything. But most of all having six giant bars covering your character for like 10 seconds during combat is extremely annoying, I think I won't use that shield just for this reason
>told myself i was going to bring my character to ng+7 months ago >only got to ng+4 before wanting to kill myself of boredom
oh well, just need to kill mohg and im ready i guess
been doing co-op out of boredom, what the frick are the peak active level ranges for the endgame bosses I can't figure it out. I'm 130 and >Maliketh almost instant every time >Malenia relatively steady >Mohg almost nothing, have to wait 5 minutes minimum every time >literally nothing for godfrey
most people. genuinely like 90% of people playing go passed the arbitrary level cap most people here talk about. most people who finished and kept playing went 200+ while all the shitters got filtered by liurnia to gelmir and thus never went over 60
Mohg is weird in that if you want to co-op him it's better to put your sign down right by his door since that's where people spawn in when they die. The effigy is by the grace which means taking the elevator every time.
I think 120-150 is the ballpark for most people doing stuff that's a smidge latter than Mohg who's apparently supposed to be done at around 90-100, assuming they aren't going way out of the "range for coop" that the wikis set. That and most people just do seamless coop to play with their friends because they get burned by random morons they summon. I think most people who are hyped for the DLC aren't the type to actually summon or be summoned for the multiplayer because they have a stick up their ass about how one "should properly play the game"
I kind of want to make a frostbite + bleed build but without katanas or the omen cleavers. Any recommendations?
If nothing else good comes up I guess I could use the scavenger swords
If you want built in Frostbite, you're limited to Darkmoon Greatsword, Death Poker, Frozen Needle, Icerind Hatchet, and Zamor Curved Sword on melee weapons, while Bleed has a frickload of melee weapons with it built in. If anything, I'd look for a weapon with bleed that has a moveset you like and then carry one with frostbite on the offhand so you're able to at least powerstance them, rather than swapping back and forth between two different weapons. That or run around with spells that deals frostbite/bleed and just slap the effect you don't have on the weapon
been messing around in pvp and the players are so annoying. All just run backwards in circles waiting for you to attack so they can poke with a spear or halberd
I really don't understand the people who clamor for the PVP despite agreeing that stripping out covenants and replacing them with an eye effect and two items that are mechanically the same is moronic
Carian slicer and Carian greatsword are great.
Carian piercer is amazing.
Also you can just slap Carian grandeur ash of war on any sword you want.
There's also Azula moonblade, which is just fricking busted.
Legacy dungeon tier list: >Crumbelievable Farum Azula
S+
Stunning visuals, brutal as frick normal mobs, TWO bosses that filter shitters, and even a secret super boss.
>Stormveil
S
Classic, no real flaws. Lots of secrets. >Leyndell
A
It's a legacy dungeon, frick you. Massive, lots of crazy paths to take. Wacky invader antics. >Raya Lucaria
B
Gets goofy near the end, rooftop sidepath feels tacked on. >Volcano Manor
C
It's missing something special. Gimmick bossfights have always been lame. Super finicky questlines. >Haligtree
D
Overrated as frick, le ebin reddit boss. Nonsensical and impractical design.
Raya Lucaria is ass. Way too heavily dependent on blobs of projectile spam enemies and the zombie section is just a lame run to the elevator avoid engaging with obnoxious enemy design. Easily some of the most boring enemy placement in any Fromsoft game, I usually just run through rather than engage unless I need something specific.
Based correct list. Farum Azula is the crown israeliteel, I hate to say it. It brings up the otherwise mostly mediocre endgame and makes Elden Ring the amazing game that it is.
Not just the batshit insane weather and visuals, but the sheer size, verticality and interwoven nature of it. There is SO much shit you can miss. It's roughly the size of the Crown DLCs from Dark Souls 2 which is crazy. That said, the color palette does wear out its welcome over time.
Personally, I'd separate Elphael from Haligtree, because I think it's at least B-tier if you overlook the Avatar fight in the middle. Plus I think Elphael is the best looking dungeon in the entire game, combined with the music it is a haunting experience every single time and I always want to go back each new playthrough.
been messing around in pvp and the players are so annoying. All just run backwards in circles waiting for you to attack so they can poke with a spear or halberd
You have two that deal bleed, two that are split physical fire, and one that deals slash damage with some thrust attacks in the moveset instead of strike like the rest, but I don't really see anyone use them outside of someone on here that would occasionally post a webm of him killing other players
[...]
I mean in the arena. Its ether 1. shitters 2. people with some crazy pvp cheese build that destroy you
3. low poise shitters who run away and poke
People in the Arena are specifically going out of their way to do PVP and are the dregs of the playerbase, you should never be interacting with it or them. Just play an actual fighting game if you want that sort of gameplay
The main reason you'd be in Deeproot Depths is if you're doing Fia's quest or want the one spear the Crucible Knight there drops, and Mohg is in a completely different area
Yeah to get further in Ranni's questline, not to find Mohg. Try Concentrated Snowfield or doing the invasions Varre tells you to do

Im horrible parrying in elden ring. I had no problems with original god of wars where parry is instant, i just cant wrap my head around a 1.5s delay that elden ring has
Any time I try to play Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3 I just wish I was playing Dark Souls 1 instead and I do.
I fricking love that game bros.
But I hope you enjoy your new DLC too.
I'm gonna go replay DaS for the 20th time.
am ready to frick around with the perfume bottles, are flame sparks and frost ones separate or are they the same bottles switching between damage types
>still have volcano manor, leyendell, nolkstella, lake of rot, snow areas, mohg area, and farum azula left
bros… I don’t think I’m going to make it… I want the bell bearings and shard of Alexander before DLC…
I started a new character, since I didn't want to go with my NG+ homosexual.
I'm already at Mogh, but I need to grind more cause level 80 and +12 weapon is too weak. I also want to get all the smiting bell bearings so I can use a DLC weapon.
Replaying ER is such a pain in the ass, I fricking hate open world so much.
But the legacy dungeons are comfy. I wish the whose game was just some interconnected legacy dungeons, it would be so much better
I beat margit RL1 with an un-upgraded club only wearing the foot soldiers set for aesthetics
Why do tendies think this game is le impossible again?
As a tendie myself, had to buy it ot support todd also MHGU and MH Rise are fun, it brings me a lot of shame. Like I was a japanese civilian getting his brains exploded by a club wielding 7ft black master samurai sumo champion that was also emperor of japan briefly.
Very shamefer
Like holy shit two fun games can exist on different platforms.
My only complaint is my complaint with most open world games that aren't MMOslop
It would be way more fun with true coop. Not that I have any friends or anything I studied mathematics in college. People will a lot of friends don't say "hey that thing everyone notoriously hates let me do more of that"
I guess fromsoft games for of speak to me in some way
I was breezing through a new run with a new character. Until I went to Haligtree. Malenia has been schooling me for 4 hours now. God I love her so much.
Also I deleted all of my other 6 characters as I hadn't touched them in over a year and wanted to free up space incase I got ideas for a new character given the new stuff in the DLC.
Here was a screenshot I took to make Elden Ring threads a week ago before I deleted them.
Been wanting to replay Elden Ring in preparation for the DLC. Last time I did a scummy INT playthrough, what's a fun build I can try this time? I barely every used any ashes, I was thinking maybe some fast paced DEX build with some fun ashes, I have no idea though.
I'm working on a flame of frenzy build but, for the starting part, I'm stuck using the Erdsteel Dagger and the first available frenzy incantation you get from the ailing village
Throwing hammer looks fun as frick but I'm hoping the throwing dagger or throwing axe are also viable.
do I need to go to the meteor after radahn?
We don't know the specifics but it just looks like you need to kill Radahn. The gate to the DLC is behind Mohg after you beat him.
No one asking the question is going to be killing Mohg in 5 hours, nor should they be.
The DLC will be scaled for shit like the Haligtree. the only real advice is 'take your time and forget about it'
I hope that we at least get DLC weapon class access in early game, would be nice especially with how many of these weapons have really low requirements.
>a bunch of people are probably going to be doing mohg in the days leading up to release
Okay so it's time to get summoned a bunch and then be a massive pain in the ass to the hosts on purpose
No need, I've been trying to help people with him for the last couple days (for easy runes) and people are still so fricking bad at this game that only like 1/5 I get summoned to actually survive.
It's just amazing how in general people don't understand how summoning for a fight is supposed to work. What's so complicated about "Wait for the other guy to get aggro before you attack"?
>try 2H greatshield only build >attacks have zero hyperarmor
this is fricking pain
it's so close to viable because you absolutely truck motherfrickers with huge stagger damage and shield crash, but a single hollow or rat can knock you out of any swing
I really hope the combat shields are better but the only one so far not having 100% physical damage negation has me worried. It also looks like you don't get any attacks that deal damage and block at the same time which is kind of shit.
For a combat shield though? I mean maybe if the weapon had attacks that also blocked incoming attacks, but from what I can see it's just a shitty twinblade that doubles as a mediocre tower shield.
>taking 20% damage on trades is more than fine.
What trades? Like I literally just fricking said, it doesn't look like the combat shields work like Valorheart did in DaS3. They just seem to function like slow ass twinblades when you attack with them. If I wanted to use a twinblade I'd just use a fricking twinblade. If I wanted a fat fricking weapon that I can two hand, block with, and then get a beefy counter attack, I'd use a fricking Greatsword. By all accounts combat shields seem to be ass.
moron.

>it doesn't look like the combat shields work like Valorheart did in DaS3

If dueling shields actually work that way then great, I'd be happy to be proven wrong and I'd love an upgraded version of Valorheart. I just didn't see it.
>it doesn't look like the combat shields work like Valorheart did in DaS3
They literally do
You just have to beat Radahn and Mohgwyn. If you're smart about it and know where to go and what to pick up, you could reasonably get a character to this point in 5 hours even without being terribly great at the game.
Mohg is in a completely different area. Talk to the dude in white at the very start of the game, then there's a church in Liurnia where you'll see him
Spoilers for the two ways of reaching Mohg:
Fast Way: >Find Varre just outside the Rose Church in the southwest section of Liurnia after collecting at least one Great Rune, he will ask you to invade other players. Either invade three times or defeat Magnus in Altus Plateau >He will task you with collecting the blood of a finger maiden, which can be found by interacting with a corpse at the Chapel of Inhibition, found in the northeast corner of Liurnia >Varre will give you an item that teleports you straight to Mohg's dungeon, where you can challenge him.
Long Way: Find a warp in the western part of Consecrated Snowfield, which requires defeating 2 Great Rune bosses, Draconic Tree Sentinel, Morgott, and Commander Niall, in addition to finding both Haligtree Medallion halves.
No one asking the question is going to be killing Mohg in 5 hours, nor should they be.
The DLC will be scaled for shit like the Haligtree. the only real advice is 'take your time and forget about it'
The rune distribution is completely out of whack for some reason and Caelid is treated as a late game area for some reason despite being perfectly manageable at SL 30.
Dragonbarrow is a separate area than Caelid with endgame scaling the devs did it intentionally because of the open world nature where players would wander into an area they weren’t suppose to. For christs sake they put a trap in the first chest ruins.
yeah you can get teleported and the enemies there are easy pissy but already give you like 500 XP.
Also do people bother killing open field enemies like the lobsters or spooky octopus?
Which is kind of moronic because a player can easily just ride through and get two end game somber stones for free.
Have the main stats for the new weapon types been announced yet? I wonder if perfumer bottles will be arcane weapons.
The perfumer bottle we saw was Dex scaling (which is interesting, I believe it's the only source of fire damage so far that scales exclusively to Dex). No confirmation if they can be infused or buffed, but you can swap out their ash of war probably.
Yeah, probably no STR perfume. In fact, given all the new weapons, I'd be surprised if they get much. Beast Claws may get some STR stuff, Throwing Weapons might too, but everything else looks like Dex or a Mix. Not Straight STR.
We've probably seen the extent of throwing weapons, seeing as how they're not a weapon class but rather a grouping of weapons with a similar name that all share the gimmick of having a ranged heavy attack. Maybe we'll get a boss weapon with similar qualities, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
From seems to imply that martial arts might be strength based, as the presets given at the event had them set to Heavy.

At the same time though the character they used seemed more Str oriented, it could very well be a quality-ish weapon at base. It's impossible to say since Heavy removes Dex scaling from weapons.
I played non-stop back on release and jumping back in for Dlc - WHAT ASHES OF WAR GOT NERFED? (last time I played hoarfrost stomp/bloodfang step got nerfed)
Dual Status is nerfed, so dual wielding two Bleed Swords isn't as effective. Seppuku got nerfed. RoB got nerfed. Pretty much most "Great Weapons" got as speed increase. They're now much more effective in general, but things like Crouch Poking Colossal Swords got nerfed.
>naginata
Nah two naginata are still one of the strongest setups in the game, but now it's joined by double sleep grease ripple crescent and serpent hunter.
New Colossal Sword, yeah. Dex oriented with a faith requirement and built in fire damage, it has the same type of fast r1 combo Godslayer has combined with Zweidhander's godly r2, plus unlike Godslayer it can be infused affinities and AoW.
We also got a confirmation of a fire version of the Ice Spear AoW that can be used on swords.
>ANOTHER dex faith weapon
From is so fricking moronic holy shit
INT GOES WITH DEX
FAITH GOES WITH STR
PLEASE STOP FRICKING THIS UP
>it's dex
AAAAAAHHHHHHHH I'M GONNA FRICKING KILL MYSELF AND THEN ALL OF YOU
>dex >faith >again
OH MY FRICKING GOD S T O P
THERE IS ENOUGH FRICKING DEX FAITH WEAPONS IN THE GAME GIVE ME STR FAITH
I WANT TO PALADINMAX
If it makes you feel any better, it getting D scaling in Str on a Keen infusion implies that it's also perfectly usable as a Str weapon on Heavy.
It looks like it could be a Zweihander alternative for builds that splash in Faith.
STR is a main damage stat that doesn't work well with anything.
DEX is a secondary stat that's outperformed by ARC on "dex" builds, STR on "quality" builds, INT on INT builds and FTH on FTH builds.
Golem Halberd isn't actually a Halberd, at least, for us to use. It's a colossal for us. Nightrider is still the best STR halberd other than the Dragon Halberd.
Going to go into the DLC at SL 177 and first playthough, use mimic, and then mock people on Ganker about how easy the game was and how bad they are to struggle with a game disabled streamers beat with DDR pads.
I am ready.
Have 6 post-game characters ready to go and work’s HR has told me I have to take 3 days off before end of financial year so it’s Friday (when the DLC releases in Japan, Aus, NZ and a few other places) and the following Monday and Tuesday for me.
I know there's only going to be minor changes to the base game, but I'm going to hold off replaying until I have the DLC downloaded for the full experience.
>pure STR
Fights become scripted stagger crit fests
Just level up Faith to 12-15 for those Incantations and use pots as a ranged option. Volcano pots scale of STR and are easy to make and you never have to deal with those tree bosses again.
I'm not who you're replying to, but at SL120 and NG++++ the game isn't any more challenging than the first time.
Anything above 150 and the game is trivial at best.
There will always be an obnoxious pocket of people on Ganker who found slowly backing up and winding up zweihander attacks in DS1 to be the peak of game design and will never let go of it
>make iframes on roll busted >fanbase whines when you try to balance them >have to juice up enemies instead so players can keep their easy mode damage invulnerability
pre nerf scrubhound step is a perfect example of how out of hand this shit is getting
So I've never actually played any variant of dex build in ER, and I want to take one into the DLC. What would you recommend? Some hybrid or just pure dex?
>like 60% of players names are ****'d out because of insane rules
K***ht is my favourite but there are a lot I just can't even guess at what they were meant to be
I kinda like how P and crab did it, with poise break leading to a window where you need to land a charged R2 and only then you can do a critical hit.
That said it's just so fricking satisfying to make bosses kneel every few seconds.
my only problem with Steam Deck is I wish it was easier to post my screenies on the 4chins
Just beat godrick having fun with +0 zweihander not sure if to put my smithing stones into it yet
Any build ideas?
if youre using zwei it sounds like you're into str so just commit to that. you can get a bannannas str sword that requires a tiny bit of int in caelid.
also for gods sake upgrade your shit smithing stones are NOT that rare
Well I think it was only 19 str so it wasn't a big deal after I killed margit.
I don't know how it will go against radahn though I know I could just upgrade my weapon like crazy and melt him but that seems passionless.
Memorize the locations of the things you need to light up (or use markers) outside of the evergaol and then rush like frick to them once you're in. It's garbage and there's no way around it, just try to not die in one backstab and you should be fine
I'm normally above that kind of thing, but I think I'm gonna
The thought of Castle Sol into the Haligtree with my current setup sounds like AIDS
I'll do Farum Azula, at least (FRICK Meli, I don;t care)
The entire point is that he's a lying scheming snake who uses his information networks and goons to harass, steal, and cheat his way to the top.
And then you easily kill him like the nobody he is.
he's a metaphor for gays who don't play the game until they read the cheese guides and go get troonveil with greyoll bleeding cheese to steamroll the game but the moment they do pvp they get gutted because they can't hide behind their OP bullshit
Mostly a lurker, seeking advice.
This is my first souls game, what advice to give going in? I've played once before and went mainly STR build with Greatsword, probably default ashe of war and cleared most of south and north limestone, cleared Morgit after 10 attempts and Godrick on my first. Then just randomly picked up a new game.
I was thinking of starting a dex build/samurai start and getting my hands on the bloodfang, what stats should I focus?
For reference how noob I am, I didn't know what fat rolling was.
Thanks, being a turbo str moron was fun for clearing mobs, but I just felt so slow and lumbering and could get overwhelmed and caught out.
>This is my first souls game, what advice to give going in?
Expect to die
Oh I know
Get vigor. Seriously. Get whatever stats you need to equip your weapons of choice then PUMP vigor.
hmm
Just upgrade Bloodhound to +4 with Iji that will carry you midgame
Level Vigor to 25, then Vigor 40 in Leyndell
Look up how to kill the Volcano Godskin Noble so you can upgrade it to +10
Just upgrade Bloodhound to +4 with Iji that will carry you midgame

Ignore the bleed tard, bleed is good but the final boss is immune to it so you don't exactly want to rely on it.
Here's what I'd say: >Vig is your most important stat, you should get it to 40 as soon as possible and consider ending the game with 50-60 vig. >Early game your combat stats (str/dex/int/faith/arc) don't matter much outside of meeting stat requirements for weapons and spells. You'll get a lot more damage out of just upgrading, focus on maxing out combat stats later. >Weapon Arts are busted as frick, find a good L2 and spam your way to victory
>but the final boss is immune to it so you don't exactly want to rely on it
the final boss is easy as frick and bleed will stomp over the other 99% of the game
you also need to kill a shardbearer to get varre to move to liurnia for that part of his quest
you can run straight to ranni from the start of the game and kill radahn as your first shardbearer as well to satisfy that other requirement for the dlc

I went NG+ mainly to get more of the max level smithing stones since I already used most of them on my first run, the NG+ difficulty pump is extremely mild anyway. Just don't go NG+2
>D Scaling in STR despite being KEEN >Fire Damage but also Infusable
This thing is going to have A STR Scaling and be an absolute beast with Flaming Strike and Flame Grant me Strength
I'm moronic, I thought this was one of those new Light Swords. It's a colossal, so no flaming strike. Still, the D scaling in Keen might make it a great STR or FAI weapon.
I'm moronic, I thought this was one of those new Light Swords. It's a colossal, so no flaming strike. Still, the D scaling in Keen might make it a great STR or FAI weapon.
The weapon art the showed off on it, Flame Spear, seems to buff it in addition to acting as a projectile attack.
For context, a Keen Zweihander gets 746 on Keen and 722 on Heavy. Fire Knight's Greatsword is actually looking to be a heavy leaning counterpart to Zweihander, though with a better r1 chain it might even be an upgrade for Dex builds as well. The .5 weight increase from Zweihander to this is negligible so the only true advantage Zweihander has is lower requirements and not requiring any Faith.
That's even better than the Keen infusion though.
Difference is small enough that you could easily use this on any build, Str or Dex. It's probably even a really good Quality weapon at high SL.
??? It's better as STR? What aren't we supposed to look at?
we arent seeing the characters stats, the character almost certainly has more str than dex making it look better as heavy infused BUT it loses out on dex scaling as heavy whereas it keeps str scaling as keen
>BUT it loses out on dex scaling as heavy whereas it keeps str scaling as keen
Literally pointless unless you want to use this weapon pass level 200. In which case you're a gay and your shit is all moronic.
>STR is better >it has innate fire damage so it'd also work as Fire or Flame Art >FGMS would double buff it >the Ash buffs it >it's weight is comparable to the Zwei >has Zwei poke
I've already found my Sword-Fu.
What a piece of beauty. Oh my god I'm so happy right now.
I made like 5 chars and didn't finish the game. It was way too easy compared to souls it lost my attention. I killed gideon on 2 chars but didn't bother finishing. >skill spam was gay as frick, it's like every class just plays as a magic Black person now >PVP sucked and people abusing lag switches was gay >horse combat got old fast
I won't be playing the DLC
Is there anywhere I can rechallenge bosses without doing multiplayer or starting NG+? It takes like 20+ minutes just to get matched in someones world to fight a boss.
I can't wait for le epic dogshit bosses with 100000000 health and they have one actual punish where you get 1 swing in and all the other "punish windows" are fake because the game input reads you and then lets them do their epic tricky followup
Oldgay here. Its just common Ganker knowledge. That being said, its an imgur filename which is literally just one of the most popular image filehosts on the internet.
I also only know what "Reddit spacing" means because of Ganker
No one is getting to mohg at 70 unless they know what theyre doing, you guys are nuts
You can easily get to 120+ after Radagon with no grinding whatsoever. And the order people to radagon/malenia/mohg is pretty random and dependant on the playthrough
God, I love STR / FAI >Defense Talisman >Black Flame Protection >Physick with Defense and Poise >Buff Host with Regen and Golden Vow >almost 80 Defense for at least 90 seconds >sit on top of boss never taking any damage >never getting stunned >Spamming Maliketh's Black Blade Ash of War for % Damage
It's so silly. I'm so ready for the DLC.
A vortex goblin appears before you and tells you can have one of the following cheats for 24 hours.
Which do you choose?
A) Speed hacks
B) Aimbot
C) Noclip
D) Wall hacks
E) No Fall Damage
>300
bit high but if you plan on playing purely offline and without spirit summons thats fine then. im going in at 137 personally
aimbot wouldnt even matter in a game like elden ring. projectiles have slow travel speed and theres already lock on built in.
but i wouldnt pick any because it would make the game way less fun.
I forgot to include IRL
then what does that have to do with elden ring at all??
cause im on ng11 lel its actually kinda worrying me
oh shit shoulda just said so, king. good luck
thanks m8
>with blackflame i can go anywhere, he said to himself out loud
NG+ scaling stops at NG+7 so you'll be fine.
>im going in at 137 personally
All Souls games end at 125 and never going over. You should know this if you played DS1
Noclip allows for no fall damage (you're floating with noclip) and wall hacks, as you can just pop through any wall and immediately retreat. You can also skip a ton of shit so it's basically a form of speed hack as well.
No Fall Damage will make exploration more fun.
I wont have to worry about if the akwardly tall cliff I want to jump off as a shortcut will either deal No Damage or Instakill me.
>game gives you rainbow stones for this purpose
>still needs to cheat
Rainbow stones tell you if a cliff is lethal or not?
I thought those were just for the off chance there might be an invisible path somewhere or maybe keep track of where you have been already.
ye
if you toss a stone down a cliff and it breaks, you will die
traversing and routing is part of the game. figuring out how to get up or down a cliff is part of that. Just play the damn video game
Holy shit if you want to explore go play BoTW moron.
F) infinite smithing stones of all types
But I already have that
Based
>Miyazaki unironically thinks I'll waste 200 hours rushing NG+ to get these to upgrade everything I want to use
LOL
Based cheat engine enjoyer finna do the same before the DLC drops.
Why would you go in so overleveled?
Level doesn't matter if you don't pvp
Babby cope
Probably because they went to ng+whatever in 2022 and never played the game again after.
>they
he*
kys leftoid
I might respec some vigger to more damage just to give them a chance
>68 mind
It's amazing how you can be so overleveled but have such a shit fricking build, holy shit.
>68 mind
Bro take some of those mind points out and put them into more Faith or Int (for destructo disks)
What does it matter?
because he's not some dumb reddit homosexual Black person like yourself.
This. You guys are cringe and should’ve made a new character for the dlc
'm ready
I'm ready
But my 1650laptop not 🙁
I'm sorry Melina
But I won't allow you to die under my rule as Elden Lord.
frick you homosexual let me die
i cant wait to try the new perfume weapon class
ive always been a fan of them in base game but felt they were underwhelming for the most part
forgot which ng+ i'm on but i'm going in with occult great stars and hoping to end up with a dual bladed shield build
>two occult great stars
Man of culture. I'll be doing the same.
Need a good cleric build. Not paladin, cleric. I want to yeet homies with miracles
if youre going pure spellcaster make sure to get lots of FP lol.
Ok but where to get miracles and good faith weapon early on?
What are cleric approved weapons? I was under the assumption you were going to be a full caster.
Golden order greatsword
Treespear
Claymore
Golden halberd
Miquella sword
>Claymore
Not a faith weapon
Go int/fth
golden order fundamentalist
sword of night and flame
My current char to get into the dlc
Spear+Bow and Faith
based fellow anon, I'm almost the exact same with partisan
The PC controls and keybind restrictions are fricking horrible
it's 2024 moron, get a fricking controller
What's the fastest way to farm to level 300?
See
Do varre's questline, its a lot easier than finding the portal to moghwyn palace in the endgame constipated snowfields.
Or go on r*ddit and ask for runes.
>constipated snowfields
LOL, this is how I learn these motherfrickers are supposed to be lizard men.
>Level 300
You literally don't need to be that overleveled.
Why would you stream challenge runs instead of just enjoying the fricking DLC with your friends? Not trying to shitpost, I'm actually curious.
The last patch made things kinda fricky for everyone.
I mean while I'm waiting for the DLC bro.
And then do DLC challenges.
Also I have no friends...
Dupe runes with a friend
Trying to invade at Mohg was a mistake
AW LAWD DEM RANGS DEM ELDEN RANGS
does she ever say that?
FROM THE TARNISHED homieS TO THE GRACEFUL homieS
WE NEED A LAAAAAWD A DEM ELDEN RAAAAAAAAAAANGS
Only thing I really hope for is a Miquella ending similar to Ranni's
youll get femto secret boss shadow miquella and youll RIKE it
I will. RIKE that bc my character is just a Guts larp. I'll finish what Miura never could.
Giga Lichdragon Fortissax when
holy shit the music for erdtree is so good
good thing they fired that diversity hire hoe
>diversity hire hoe
The frick are you talking about? How is a ethnic Japanese woman working for a Japanese company a DEI hire, you dumb Black person?
>t. never worked in a mono-ethnic society
whamen get hired for diversity
Wasn't she the composer for DS3 which had the best soundtrack?
Anyone else got weird wifi issues with steam deck?
I want to get rune arcs but shit doesn't work
How did you get your character to look so good?
I just used one of the defaults because I only made it worse
Copy a character slider from a youtube video
a long time fricking with sliders and constantly checking angles cause some things only look good forward facing or when turned to the side have ridges
>Breaks the camera and hurls a ton of bullshit at you, otherwise a total pushover
Still don't like this guy two years later
He has like 7 hp so no one even learns the fight before they randomly kill him on their third attempt when he decides to go a little slower on the anime shit
I just uninstalled had enough of the jank despite this being like the tenth soul game you still have the same hitboxes, camera, ai problems. Frick it.
And I'm out of money and time before I go sleep under a bridge anyway.
>no lifer
>plays moid
grim
>no friends to stream challenge runs with
>no elden ring gf b/c girls are casuals
why live?
get some friends, moron? you're a human being.
I dont know if I really am
you guys watching the shadow of the erdtree event?
hell no
I don't mind getting spoiled on random weapons and shit but 80% of the reason I play these games is exploring areas and looking for new stuff and running into unexpected things, I'm not going to let my first experience be second hand from some random twitch prostitutes
Giant Katana has Isshin-style moves, stright out of Sekrio
How does it compare to the Nagakiba?
Longer and thicker
It steals moves from MH
frick yea love me longsword
Now that you've said that, I'm going to be disappointed if it doesnt have the full Spirit Dance combo
source?
the red bull sponsored stream from earlier today showed some DLC footage
Asmon playing the DLC on Emiru's stream. He's a great Katana main boys!
I'm making a new character but:
>look up greatshields on wiki
>the eclipse one looks nice and it's not too heavy
>farm it
>pic related appears every time I switch to it because apparently it also boosts some resistances
how the frick have they still not fixed this? it's annoying as hell, can I remove it?
Do resistance increases really take time to kick in, i.e. when the bar empties? Or is it genuinely messed up? It might be just a programming quirk, I wouldn't really get it
it increases your status bar, but it also immediately fills it for the same amount. It's fine for an armor piece where that's gonna happen only very occasionally, but on an armament it's more counterproductive than anything. But most of all having six giant bars covering your character for like 10 seconds during combat is extremely annoying, I think I won't use that shield just for this reason
>told myself i was going to bring my character to ng+7 months ago
>only got to ng+4 before wanting to kill myself of boredom
oh well, just need to kill mohg and im ready i guess
is it time to leave the internet to avoid spoilers?
tired of these youtuber Black folk getting early copies of everything
yes
Do not listen to
as you will be perfectly fine
no get on
https://www.twitch.tv/elajjaz
Still trying to decide if I want to kill malenia before I frick her brother.
been doing co-op out of boredom, what the frick are the peak active level ranges for the endgame bosses I can't figure it out. I'm 130 and
>Maliketh almost instant every time
>Malenia relatively steady
>Mohg almost nothing, have to wait 5 minutes minimum every time
>literally nothing for godfrey
most people. genuinely like 90% of people playing go passed the arbitrary level cap most people here talk about. most people who finished and kept playing went 200+ while all the shitters got filtered by liurnia to gelmir and thus never went over 60
I just find it so bizarre that I can get constant summons for Maliketh and Malenia but not Mohg
Mohg can be easily cheesed. Shitters will likely take that option before opening themselves up to multiplayer and invasions.
Mohg is weird in that if you want to co-op him it's better to put your sign down right by his door since that's where people spawn in when they die. The effigy is by the grace which means taking the elevator every time.
I do and still get nothing, both on my 130 character and a 150 one
I think 120-150 is the ballpark for most people doing stuff that's a smidge latter than Mohg who's apparently supposed to be done at around 90-100, assuming they aren't going way out of the "range for coop" that the wikis set. That and most people just do seamless coop to play with their friends because they get burned by random morons they summon. I think most people who are hyped for the DLC aren't the type to actually summon or be summoned for the multiplayer because they have a stick up their ass about how one "should properly play the game"
dlc better have sexy fashion. the great katana is giving me a huge boner already so I know I'm gonna use that. hoping for blackflame shit
how long are rennala feets? this is very important for my build
elden beast literally dindu nuffin
not gay but elajjaz is hot
>the only streamer that showed off weapon requirements and movesets
He's based
I kind of want to make a frostbite + bleed build but without katanas or the omen cleavers. Any recommendations?
If nothing else good comes up I guess I could use the scavenger swords
Use a scythe, glaive or vulgar milita sawblade.
I really don't understand the people who clamor for the PVP despite agreeing that stripping out covenants and replacing them with an eye effect and two items that are mechanically the same is moronic
I mean in the arena. Its ether 1. shitters 2. people with some crazy pvp cheese build that destroy you
3. low poise shitters who run away and poke
Is this a vendor
no
what are the best spells for a spellsword build? I've never done a magic run before
Carian slicer and Carian greatsword are great.
Carian piercer is amazing.
Also you can just slap Carian grandeur ash of war on any sword you want.
There's also Azula moonblade, which is just fricking busted.
adula's moonblade
I've been noticing the moon a lot more in my replay. Here it almost seems to be gloating over the dead fire giants.
Legacy dungeon tier list:
>Crumbelievable Farum Azula
Nonsensical and impractical design.
what is a legacy dungeon?
where's farum azula
>Farum Azula
>S+ visuals
Let me guess, DS3 is your favourite Fromsoft game?
>haligtree that low
>crumbling framerate azula that high
The legend is streaming again.
Elden Ring is dogshit slop for Black folk
mad ds3gays
Damn BOTrannies are really still THIS upset?
Nintendie's literally never stopped seething, the damage control next week is gonna be hilarious.
Too bad for them I'll be busy playing games
kai cenat's game
been messing around in pvp and the players are so annoying. All just run backwards in circles waiting for you to attack so they can poke with a spear or halberd
Just invade during bossfights if people are gonna play like passive turbohomosexuals.
duels and arena pvp are absolute trash dont bother
invasions are also pretty shit in ER but can still be fun at non meta levels
Just watching final let me solo her malenia stream. So yeah, im getting ready
Whips are cool, which one of the whips sucks the least?
hoslow whip is the only viable whip
whips are really bad for pve
It's a shame that more than half the weapon categories are totally shit. Daggers and stuff should be fun but they all suck.
Urumi is pvp viable, shut up
You have two that deal bleed, two that are split physical fire, and one that deals slash damage with some thrust attacks in the moveset instead of strike like the rest, but I don't really see anyone use them outside of someone on here that would occasionally post a webm of him killing other players
People in the Arena are specifically going out of their way to do PVP and are the dregs of the playerbase, you should never be interacting with it or them. Just play an actual fighting game if you want that sort of gameplay
What the frick is this place?
The Great Cum Dam
It's where all the super dead are
Roots of the erdtree
how far I am from mohg?
Mohg isn't linear, and there's several ways to get to him.
some anon told me to follow the meteor...
Yeah to get further in Ranni's questline, not to find Mohg. Try Concentrated Snowfield or doing the invasions Varre tells you to do
What was ranni questline again?
Try paying attention to the people you talk to in game next time
My brother in christ, like time I interacted with her was like 15 hours ago.
And like 30 hours ago I remember interacting with a chick that gave me a medallion and told me I need to visit... well I don't remember anything.
Maybe you should take notes or talk to characters again if you're too much of a simpleton to remember very blatant instructions.
Get the fingerslayer blade from down the meteor hole, go talk to Ranni again and use the Renna's rise gateway to make more progress.
The main reason you'd be in Deeproot Depths is if you're doing Fia's quest or want the one spear the Crucible Knight there drops, and Mohg is in a completely different area
Oh hey, I'm also there.
Make sure to use a less-upgraded weapon for the spooky boss.
He's cool, but they scaled him to be weak...
You know the rules, you have to frick now.
>leave a message
>get's appraised 10 seconds later
IT WAS YOU?? HAVE YOU BEEN FOLLOWING ME???
IT WAS ME
confession
I summon alexander for fire giant because that boss is dogshit and I don't respect it
That's fine, it is a dog shit fight.
Isnt that just a self nerf since you cant use hors
Same but he got fricked instantly
none of the game's bosses are designed to respect you in any way. have at it, king
im finally doing no summons run. Always used some at times and now im dreading the double crucible knights
parry them
Im horrible parrying in elden ring. I had no problems with original god of wars where parry is instant, i just cant wrap my head around a 1.5s delay that elden ring has
Only 300 with that play time? I'm level 309 with like 200 hour
LETS GET READY TO MORTAAAAAR
Those who pass the gates have no hope of coming out again. We are amidst strange beasts, in a strange land.
>125 meme
Dark souls 1 pvp clown ruined these games
Any time I try to play Elden Ring or Dark Souls 3 I just wish I was playing Dark Souls 1 instead and I do.
I fricking love that game bros.
But I hope you enjoy your new DLC too.
I'm gonna go replay DaS for the 20th time.
Nothing will ever beat the magic of the original Dark Souls, with the exception of the *parts* of Demon Souls that aren't janky as Hell
am ready to frick around with the perfume bottles, are flame sparks and frost ones separate or are they the same bottles switching between damage types
>that health bar
you're a big guy
still get wiped out in 2 hits on ng+7
light armor, no extra survivability talismans. yeah no shit.
>twig
No shit anon you 're wearing rags. At least aim for light roll. Take one weapon off.
>runs around in literal rags yet still has medium equip load
>gets shocked when he gets his ass clapped by everything
>Sacrificial Twig
Dragoncrest Greatshield talisman prevents rune loss too. Since you won't die.
>19 poise
>still have volcano manor, leyendell, nolkstella, lake of rot, snow areas, mohg area, and farum azula left
bros… I don’t think I’m going to make it… I want the bell bearings and shard of Alexander before DLC…
You can skip half of that shit.
I still have Caelid and Raya Lucaria before starting those...
oh man you are NOT gonna make it
>50 hours in
>Think I'm really advanced with the game
>Don't recognize a single area mentioned
just keep playing little bro
is it normal to have 50 hours in less than a week, asking for a friend
yes that's just classic elden ring
I started a new char like 2 weeks ago
50hrs in and i'm barely about to finish Atlus Plateau center+east
ngmi
do we know if doing the dlc before burning the tree changes anything?
The game is firmly 100 hours long+. Frick what anyone says about the length at this point.
It is no less.
If you're rushing, you should use unique weapons
Upgrading +25s is ass, and they didn't think it through at all.
People will a lot of friends don't say "hey that thing everyone notoriously hates let me do more of that"
I guess fromsoft games for of speak to me in some way
>2024
>15 years after the first soulslop
>people still seethe "WHY PEOPLE THINK THIS GAME IS LE IMPOSSIBLE"
I was breezing through a new run with a new character. Until I went to Haligtree. Malenia has been schooling me for 4 hours now. God I love her so much.
Yep. I'm ready. All my characters are sitting outside the DLC area.
I'm also currently making one last character who is almost up to the DLC.
jeez how many hours?
>1500 hours for 4 characters
Bruh I have nearly all of my save slots filled up with DLC ready characters and I only have 500 hours in the game.
I invade a lot.
Also I deleted all of my other 6 characters as I hadn't touched them in over a year and wanted to free up space incase I got ideas for a new character given the new stuff in the DLC.
Here was a screenshot I took to make Elden Ring threads a week ago before I deleted them.
Fair enough.
>Poison
I hope it's deadly poison so it actually stands a chance of being useful.
nice 'jak
Will the DLC actually start in Mohg's room or is it just a prevalent fan theory?
you touch miquellas arm to enter the dreamlands
Been wanting to replay Elden Ring in preparation for the DLC. Last time I did a scummy INT playthrough, what's a fun build I can try this time? I barely every used any ashes, I was thinking maybe some fast paced DEX build with some fun ashes, I have no idea though.
>so many choices
>can only really pick 1 or 2 for more of the game
brutal game design
What makes you say that?
Regular Smithing Stones are incredibly hard to come by.
You only get the bell bearings for 5,6,7,8 once you're basically done with the game
I'm working on a flame of frenzy build but, for the starting part, I'm stuck using the Erdsteel Dagger and the first available frenzy incantation you get from the ailing village
kill big boggart for his iron balls as soon as possible and put quickstep on
>kill big boggart
Naive, skink hands typed this terrible post
>kill big boggart
Lion's claw is fun as frick, just slap that on anything and go to town.
just need to get my INT guy finished then I'll be DLC ready
any new samurai armor or nah?
Yeah, I know what I'm doing.
STRchads we won
what weapon is that?
oh yeah that's the stuff
Throwing hammer looks fun as frick but I'm hoping the throwing dagger or throwing axe are also viable.
We don't know the specifics but it just looks like you need to kill Radahn. The gate to the DLC is behind Mohg after you beat him.
Yeah, unless you're hard carrying with sorceries Mohg is one of the hardest fights for hosts to live through by a lot
It's just amazing how in general people don't understand how summoning for a fight is supposed to work. What's so complicated about "Wait for the other guy to get aggro before you attack"?
>tfw desire to replay the game keeps rising
BROS... HOW DO I KEEP PLAYING WITH MY OWN TOON INSTEAD OF CREATING A NEW ONE?
Make a new one that's in the proper level range, NG+ in ER sucks anyway.
>try 2H greatshield only build
>attacks have zero hyperarmor
this is fricking pain
it's so close to viable because you absolutely truck motherfrickers with huge stagger damage and shield crash, but a single hollow or rat can knock you out of any swing
I really hope the combat shields are better but the only one so far not having 100% physical damage negation has me worried. It also looks like you don't get any attacks that deal damage and block at the same time which is kind of shit.
not having 100 phys negation is fine
For a combat shield though? I mean maybe if the weapon had attacks that also blocked incoming attacks, but from what I can see it's just a shitty twinblade that doubles as a mediocre tower shield.
yeah?
taking 20% damage on trades is more than fine. try a shield like that sometime. it's not as big of an issue as you'd think
>taking 20% damage on trades is more than fine.
They literally do
Guard points during your attacks makes up for the sub 100 phys block
If dueling shields actually work that way then great, I'd be happy to be proven wrong and I'd love an upgraded version of Valorheart. I just didn't see it.
Link? Timestamp?
2:34:07
Nice.
>tfw got like 10 upvotes on my messages during the last 2 days
I don't deserve it
Up to what point in the base game must you play to be able to access the DLC?
The last 10 out of 100 hours :))
>100 hours
stop speed running games, troony
You just have to beat Radahn and Mohgwyn. If you're smart about it and know where to go and what to pick up, you could reasonably get a character to this point in 5 hours even without being terribly great at the game.
do I need to go to the meteor after radahn?
Mohg is in a completely different area. Talk to the dude in white at the very start of the game, then there's a church in Liurnia where you'll see him
Spoilers for the two ways of reaching Mohg:
Fast Way:
>Find Varre just outside the Rose Church in the southwest section of Liurnia after collecting at least one Great Rune, he will ask you to invade other players. Either invade three times or defeat Magnus in Altus Plateau
>He will task you with collecting the blood of a finger maiden, which can be found by interacting with a corpse at the Chapel of Inhibition, found in the northeast corner of Liurnia
>Varre will give you an item that teleports you straight to Mohg's dungeon, where you can challenge him.
The DLC will be scaled for shit like the Haligtree. the only real advice is 'take your time and forget about it'
oh boy, only ever did mohg once and it was misery. Here we go again
Mohg and Radagon defeated
>kill wolf in one hit
>50 xp
>kill wolf (Caelid) in two hits
>1078 xp
The perfumer bottle we saw was Dex scaling (which is interesting, I believe it's the only source of fire damage so far that scales exclusively to Dex). No confirmation if they can be infused or buffed, but you can swap out their ash of war probably.
you can warp to dragonbarrow right at the start of the game and farm vulgar militia outside gurranq for like 1000 a pop
how do you warp to dragonbarrow at the start?
Number 3, a teleporter behind the church
you can teleport without talking to the NPC?
Also where does 4 send you?
>Also where does 4 send you?
The other end of that bridge.
when does the dlc come out anyway? I've been out of the loop.
Have the main stats for the new weapon types been announced yet? I wonder if perfumer bottles will be arcane weapons.
What does the current Perfume spray scale with? probably that
found the answer in another thread, see
In one of the other streams, someone had one that scaled with Faith. I think it was the lightning one.
So either different perfumes do different things or they can be infused with Ashes like any other weapon.
That's pretty nice, honestly. Something unique, everyone can at least test out. Although I doubt there's a grug perfume
Yeah, probably no STR perfume. In fact, given all the new weapons, I'd be surprised if they get much. Beast Claws may get some STR stuff, Throwing Weapons might too, but everything else looks like Dex or a Mix. Not Straight STR.
thrussy shields will probably have a STR one
We've probably seen the extent of throwing weapons, seeing as how they're not a weapon class but rather a grouping of weapons with a similar name that all share the gimmick of having a ranged heavy attack. Maybe we'll get a boss weapon with similar qualities, but I wouldn't hold my breath.
From seems to imply that martial arts might be strength based, as the presets given at the event had them set to Heavy.
At the same time though the character they used seemed more Str oriented, it could very well be a quality-ish weapon at base. It's impossible to say since Heavy removes Dex scaling from weapons.
Current perfumes:
>Acid: No scaling
>Poison: ARC (C)
>Ironjar: No scaling
>Bloodboil: No scaling
>Uplifting: No scaling
>Spark: STR (D) and DEX(A)
Watch them be completely stat independant. I can see it with zero scaling and low stat reqs.
For me, it's the Torchpole.
Malenia is a bs boss design and I am tired of copers pretending it isnt
Hey
I played non-stop back on release and jumping back in for Dlc - WHAT ASHES OF WAR GOT NERFED? (last time I played hoarfrost stomp/bloodfang step got nerfed)
Frick off tranime poster.
Dual Status is nerfed, so dual wielding two Bleed Swords isn't as effective. Seppuku got nerfed. RoB got nerfed. Pretty much most "Great Weapons" got as speed increase. They're now much more effective in general, but things like Crouch Poking Colossal Swords got nerfed.
oh that's all fine.
So is naginata not overpowered anymore? I know dual weilding those + seppuku used to be like "the strongest setup in the game"
>naginata
Nah two naginata are still one of the strongest setups in the game, but now it's joined by double sleep grease ripple crescent and serpent hunter.
>serpent hunter
lmao what, the weapon vs rykard? thanks for the info I had no idea
Two Nagi is still OP. But that's because Dual Wielding is OP and Spears are just top tier no matter what.
Are they adding any new straight swords?
Godslayer Sword Sissies got real quiet after Fire Knight's Greatsword dropped and completely mogged them. I'm just saying.
is that a new wep?
New Colossal Sword, yeah. Dex oriented with a faith requirement and built in fire damage, it has the same type of fast r1 combo Godslayer has combined with Zweidhander's godly r2, plus unlike Godslayer it can be infused affinities and AoW.
We also got a confirmation of a fire version of the Ice Spear AoW that can be used on swords.
Sick, although Fire damage is probably going to get the Holy damage treatment for much of the DLC.
Frick I hope not, Pyromancy is fun as frick and I'd be pissed if it's useless in the DLC.
>I wonder if fire will be good in the DLC about Mr. Fire and his Fire Monsters and fire everywhere
>Magic damage will remain the GOAT
Magebros... I'm thinking we're back.
Honestly if holy damage can finally leave the cuck shed I'm fine.
Is it time? TIME FOR THE MOTHER FRICKING
GREAT
CLUB?
My Erdtree Greatshield Holy Cannon bout to go wild on the DLC.
>dex
>faith
>again
OH MY FRICKING GOD S T O P
THERE IS ENOUGH FRICKING DEX FAITH WEAPONS IN THE GAME GIVE ME STR FAITH
I WANT TO PALADINMAX
dex is objectively the best supplement to faith for faster incant casting
strength is gay shit
If it makes you feel any better, it getting D scaling in Str on a Keen infusion implies that it's also perfectly usable as a Str weapon on Heavy.
It looks like it could be a Zweihander alternative for builds that splash in Faith.
By the time you get enough Dex to make your shit cast fast but at the same time to do high damage with your incants, you're a level 200+.
>it's dex
AAAAAAHHHHHHHH I'M GONNA FRICKING KILL MYSELF AND THEN ALL OF YOU
>ANOTHER dex faith weapon
From is so fricking moronic holy shit
INT GOES WITH DEX
FAITH GOES WITH STR
PLEASE STOP FRICKING THIS UP
Sorry, I can't hear you over me swinging a chunk of magically infused meteor at my foes.
>INT GOES WITH DEX
lol. lmao even
obviously int goes with str because intelligent men choose str
dex goes with faith because they're both the leftovers
but it clearly doesn't because you're moronic as frick (and also likely not strong)
>it clearly doesn't because
but it does? look at the weapons. they're all str/int and dex/fth
therefore i am both int and str
qed
STR is a main damage stat that doesn't work well with anything.
DEX is a secondary stat that's outperformed by ARC on "dex" builds, STR on "quality" builds, INT on INT builds and FTH on FTH builds.
Do we know the scaling of that sword?
Yes, just check fextralife. Knight's Greatsword is a base game weapon.
Only for Keen, but D on Str + Faith and A Dex for Keen is looking pretty solid.
lmao moron
>D Scaling with Keen
>Mixed Fire / Physical Damage
Wouldn't this be amazing as Fire / Flame Art as STR or Faith?
Combining it with Flame Grant me strength seems like it'd make it one hell of a weapon...
definitely using this on my quality faith build holy shit I love the poke r2
>how ready are (You)?
Yeah... Just need to beat ng+ Mohg...
Think my character is at 200~ but I'm on either ng3 or 4, can't quite remember, hope it'll be fine.
I'm ready.
>40 vig
My body is ready for new gravity stuff
Hopefully they'll make a gravity staff that isn't ass in late game
I'd unironically love a Str scaling staff for Gankerlit/ builds.
Uhhmm... Excuse me, where is your gravity weapon?
tbf Waves of Darkness is the most based gravity attack and it's an AoW you can slap on any heavy weapon.
I like it on a Cold Executioner's Axe for the fat crits.
that's a pretty good idea
True. I have it on my Greatsword with Frost on it. Damn cool Ash. Easily my favorite.
>not using waves of darkness on a golem halberd
lmao
I have a +25 Golem Halberd, but I think I got one of the Earth Ashes on it. Like Hoarah Loux Shout. Or something.
Why on that? I quite like it on my UGS
>Golem halberd
I thought night rider halberd was best for STRchads?
Golem Halberd isn't actually a Halberd, at least, for us to use. It's a colossal for us. Nightrider is still the best STR halberd other than the Dragon Halberd.
I just took the pic after beating Godfrey with his own weapon for extra btfo but ended up liking the screenshot a lot. Don't worry I'm back now.
Going to go into the DLC at SL 177 and first playthough, use mimic, and then mock people on Ganker about how easy the game was and how bad they are to struggle with a game disabled streamers beat with DDR pads.
I am ready.
Has any of the homosexual e-celeb streamers shown off the new fist weapons?
Don't worry gays. This is Fromsoft DLC, remember? Every elemental damage type is going to be useless.
I really hope they add a second weapon that scales on both int and fai.
All of the Smithscript (i.e. "throwing weapons") we've seen so far have int and faith scaling (for some reason)
Have 6 post-game characters ready to go and work’s HR has told me I have to take 3 days off before end of financial year so it’s Friday (when the DLC releases in Japan, Aus, NZ and a few other places) and the following Monday and Tuesday for me.
Am I Ganker?
Pants don't match at all. Most armor doesn't match with Crucible Stuff. Helmet is fine. Gloves can't tell due to the lighting.
Pants look fine when playing but I get the sentiment. Gloves are from the Brair set.
Kinda tempted to level up from 138 to 150. Am I insane for this? Will I lose out on invasions?
I'm 176 and still haven't beat the game. Do whatever you want.
>Will I lose out on invasions?
>
#
yes
I wouldn't, 138 is a good place to be.
and what would 12 more levels get you?
More stats
5 more points in Faith for Golden Vow, 7 more in Mind for some more Weapon Art usage.
I know there's only going to be minor changes to the base game, but I'm going to hold off replaying until I have the DLC downloaded for the full experience.
I'm just hoping the bosses aren't overtuned messes like in the base game. They're honestly the worst part of the game.
DLC bosses are always ramped up from the base game
It's possible to be ramped up and not overtuned.
So pure STR is cringe and I should go for DEX instead?
You should do whatever is fun for you
dex is pretty fun
a great selection with good switch ups and you can't beat the raw power of it.
>pure STR
Fights become scripted stagger crit fests
Just level up Faith to 12-15 for those Incantations and use pots as a ranged option. Volcano pots scale of STR and are easy to make and you never have to deal with those tree bosses again.
honestly go quality so you can use whatever. quality faith is fricking FUN
>going past level 150
stay cucked
>not going past ng
stay cucked
bro ng+ is easy as frick at 150, are you saying you need to be SL200 or some shit to fight mobs with 10% more stats?
youre almost there buddy just add some more +'s
I'm not who you're replying to, but at SL120 and NG++++ the game isn't any more challenging than the first time.
Anything above 150 and the game is trivial at best.
RL 271 in NG+
Will probably have a good time just 'splorin. Not really keen on new weapons, but we'll see I guess.
Why does greathelm pair so well with strenght builds?
if you went over RL 137 you didnt beat the game
why are so many enemies in this game so awful
why did fromsoft forget how to make fun combat and enemies
these fricking lions in castle sol are so shit
the black blade kindred is so shit
what happened
Gotta make game hard :^)
I'm with you though. The game is a slog but still somehow better than DS2.
idk i find DS1 really easy when I went back to play it, ER gives you so many powerful tools to shit on stuff idk how you're not having fun
>ER gives you so many powerful tools to shit on stuff
summoning AI to fight for you is not fun, and neither is spamming lion claw over and over
I never once summoned? There's like 70 disgusting weapons and like 15 crazy good ashes
I mean hell if you REALLY want to just r1 roll r1 you can do that too since the roll in ER is super good
Not everyone finds abusing Rivers of Blood and Bloodhound Step fun, anon.
Jesus you haven't played in years yet you're posting about the game in Ganker?
both of those got nerfed YEARS ago.
>YEARS ago
>game came out in 2022
Yeah, you're a hyperbolic little b***h alright.
There will always be an obnoxious pocket of people on Ganker who found slowly backing up and winding up zweihander attacks in DS1 to be the peak of game design and will never let go of it
>make iframes on roll busted
>fanbase whines when you try to balance them
>have to juice up enemies instead so players can keep their easy mode damage invulnerability
pre nerf scrubhound step is a perfect example of how out of hand this shit is getting
Castle Sol was not playtested. They did not playtest that motherfricker with the two greatswords that can teleport behind you and instakill combo you.
So I've never actually played any variant of dex build in ER, and I want to take one into the DLC. What would you recommend? Some hybrid or just pure dex?
DEX ARC
Is dex arc even getting anything new in the DLC so far? Or is it just going to be the same old bleed weapons?
Arcane/dex could get 0 new weapons and still walk away being the best combination in the game. It's genuinely that strong.
I mean I guess but my idea was to use cool new DLC stuff.
Seconding
Seeing bosses all of a sudden explode in blood is fun.
I'm so poor
>like 60% of players names are ****'d out because of insane rules
K***ht is my favourite but there are a lot I just can't even guess at what they were meant to be
I wish elden ring wasn't balanced around poisebreaks, it's a boring way to play and a boring way to balance the game
more exciting than r1 roll r1, glad they're trying to break away from that
jump r2, roll, jump r2
Didn't jump attacks get nerfed?
nope
Poise damage of big weps got nerfed which is what youre probably thinking of since those were the weps who abused jump attacks. Still good tho
I kinda like how P and crab did it, with poise break leading to a window where you need to land a charged R2 and only then you can do a critical hit.
That said it's just so fricking satisfying to make bosses kneel every few seconds.
when you get to higher ng cycles the boss poise becomes almost impossible to break and the fights are much more fun
my only problem with Steam Deck is I wish it was easier to post my screenies on the 4chins
Just finished my build. I think going in with maxed out item discovery is going to be fun. I want all the new armor/weapons asap.
trying to get to haligtree, did you respec to int for invisibility spell? or use special torch?
these guys in ordania or whatever are kicking my ass
Memorize the locations of the things you need to light up (or use markers) outside of the evergaol and then rush like frick to them once you're in. It's garbage and there's no way around it, just try to not die in one backstab and you should be fine
Kill the lowest archer
Throw a Kukri to make the ladder archer face the wrong direction
Opaline Bubbletear then run and smack her
Only Homosexuals and trannies stop at 125. Truechads stop wherever the frick they want.
Oh frick, I just got to the Mountaintops on my replay for the DLC and my willpower is sinking like a lead brick
Almost there, just gotta press on.
anon you just need to kill mohg/radan for the dlc, you can stop now.
But...I need to do everything or it doesn't count...
>potentially missing out on something in the DLC changing something in the base game
Your desire to 100% will end up 99%ing you.
Stop there, get the cool DLC weapons, then beat the shit out of that garbage area with them
I'm normally above that kind of thing, but I think I'm gonna
The thought of Castle Sol into the Haligtree with my current setup sounds like AIDS
I'll do Farum Azula, at least (FRICK Meli, I don;t care)
>i am so ready Gankerros
>how ready are (You)?
lol
https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/mods/4259?tab=description
more ready than anyone here
Roundtable Hold loses all its comfiness and looks so ugly after burning the Erdtree. I regret doing it every playthrough
That's kind of the point, it's falling apart. It shouldn't be comfy anymore.
>all the annoying people dead
>toasty fire everywhere
If anything it's even more comfy afterward.
DEX FAITH BROS
IT

AMAZING
>MORE DEX FAITH
AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH
>literally chat with you about how you have 1v1d multiple demigods
>NAH I'D WIN
How is this dumbass all-knowing again?
He knows that if you keep spamming you're going to win eventually.
I felt like it a suicide by cop
Gained too much insight and was tired of this shitass game
The entire point is that he's a lying scheming snake who uses his information networks and goons to harass, steal, and cheat his way to the top.
And then you easily kill him like the nobody he is.
he's a metaphor for gays who don't play the game until they read the cheese guides and go get troonveil with greyoll bleeding cheese to steamroll the game but the moment they do pvp they get gutted because they can't hide behind their OP bullshit
Godskin apostle is beating my ass dude need more dex
I'm almost out of rune arcs
>all the dlc enemies just never stop attacking and deal 2/3 of your health every hit
Fromsoft is so great bros
>have to kill the second highest level boss in the game to START the dlc

Mostly a lurker, seeking advice.
This is my first souls game, what advice to give going in? I've played once before and went mainly STR build with Greatsword, probably default ashe of war and cleared most of south and north limestone, cleared Morgit after 10 attempts and Godrick on my first. Then just randomly picked up a new game.
I was thinking of starting a dex build/samurai start and getting my hands on the bloodfang, what stats should I focus?
For reference how noob I am, I didn't know what fat rolling was.
weapons with bleed are generally overpowered in ER, so you'll probably have an easier time.
Start with some dex for basic katanas, move on to arcane when you get weapons/spells, congrats, you're a tryhard
Thanks, being a turbo str moron was fun for clearing mobs, but I just felt so slow and lumbering and could get overwhelmed and caught out.
Oh I know
hmm
Thanks, will do and keep this in mind.
>This is my first souls game, what advice to give going in?
Expect to die
Get vigor. Seriously. Get whatever stats you need to equip your weapons of choice then PUMP vigor.
Just upgrade Bloodhound to +4 with Iji that will carry you midgame
Level Vigor to 25, then Vigor 40 in Leyndell
Look up how to kill the Volcano Godskin Noble so you can upgrade it to +10
Ignore the bleed tard, bleed is good but the final boss is immune to it so you don't exactly want to rely on it.
Here's what I'd say:
>Vig is your most important stat, you should get it to 40 as soon as possible and consider ending the game with 50-60 vig.
>Early game your combat stats (str/dex/int/faith/arc) don't matter much outside of meeting stat requirements for weapons and spells. You'll get a lot more damage out of just upgrading, focus on maxing out combat stats later.
>Weapon Arts are busted as frick, find a good L2 and spam your way to victory
>but the final boss is immune to it so you don't exactly want to rely on it
the final boss is easy as frick and bleed will stomp over the other 99% of the game
so just invading 3 times is enough to get me to mohg?
you also need to kill a shardbearer to get varre to move to liurnia for that part of his quest
you can run straight to ranni from the start of the game and kill radahn as your first shardbearer as well to satisfy that other requirement for the dlc
See
why are the random dragons in farum azula stronger than placidusax
what the frick is wrong with elden ring's endgame jesus christ, I forgot how terrible it is
Because frick you. Have another Godskin duo you little b***h.
Ahem.
Crucible Knights are shit enemies and I'm tired of pretending they're not.
What a brave and controversial opinion.
>STR is getting nothing except marvel movie meme weapons in the DLC
reddit stat gets reddit weapons
I am level 125 and right at the end of the game. Should I go into ng+ or stay at ng for the dlc?
I went NG+ mainly to get more of the max level smithing stones since I already used most of them on my first run, the NG+ difficulty pump is extremely mild anyway. Just don't go NG+2
Valiant Gargoyle Trio
Deathblight swamp
Royal Rat Authority except it's basilisks
Malenia Duo
>Deathblight swamp
He wouldn't.
>Putrid Royal Revenant Duo
*mogs every other weapon*
i wish it was a regular greatsword instead of a colossal sword
Dex bros, you're not gonna use this over the wacky perfume bottles...right?
please stop making so many dex/faith weapons I'm going to shit my pants and turn into a red wojak
>700phys+100fire
wew
>D Scaling in STR despite being KEEN
>Fire Damage but also Infusable
This thing is going to have A STR Scaling and be an absolute beast with Flaming Strike and Flame Grant me Strength
>30 second shit buff
I'm moronic, I thought this was one of those new Light Swords. It's a colossal, so no flaming strike. Still, the D scaling in Keen might make it a great STR or FAI weapon.
The weapon art the showed off on it, Flame Spear, seems to buff it in addition to acting as a projectile attack.
Really? I've been trying to avoid looking at the videos to avoid too much spoilers. That's damn cool.
>712/87 on Keen
>764/182 on Heavy
For context, a Keen Zweihander gets 746 on Keen and 722 on Heavy. Fire Knight's Greatsword is actually looking to be a heavy leaning counterpart to Zweihander, though with a better r1 chain it might even be an upgrade for Dex builds as well. The .5 weight increase from Zweihander to this is negligible so the only true advantage Zweihander has is lower requirements and not requiring any Faith.
>19 FP
Yikes, that’s a little on the high side.
Any new scythe in showcase?
I use heavy armor and a shield
Does lvl 171 sound good enough for the DLC?
Overleveled
Underleveled
STRBROS DON'T LOOK
oof
?
That's even better than the Keen infusion though.
Difference is small enough that you could easily use this on any build, Str or Dex. It's probably even a really good Quality weapon at high SL.
we arent seeing the characters stats, the character almost certainly has more str than dex making it look better as heavy infused BUT it loses out on dex scaling as heavy whereas it keeps str scaling as keen
>BUT it loses out on dex scaling as heavy whereas it keeps str scaling as keen
Literally pointless unless you want to use this weapon pass level 200. In which case you're a gay and your shit is all moronic.
Anon the demo build had 80 dex (see
)
>80 in ANY stat
For what purpose
Fromshart can't make builds
>For what purpose
To not be a limp wristed homosexual?
Let me guess, you have 50 Mind?
50 str 30 fth
Why wouldn't you at level 150
80 is the cap and hybrids suck
Anon every single weapon in the game is better on str
Stop copying, dex is just a dead end build in this game
??? It's better as STR? What aren't we supposed to look at?
im going to turn it into an occult greatsword
>STR is better
>it has innate fire damage so it'd also work as Fire or Flame Art
>FGMS would double buff it
>the Ash buffs it
>it's weight is comparable to the Zwei
>has Zwei poke
I've already found my Sword-Fu.
What a piece of beauty. Oh my god I'm so happy right now.
I made like 5 chars and didn't finish the game. It was way too easy compared to souls it lost my attention. I killed gideon on 2 chars but didn't bother finishing.
>skill spam was gay as frick, it's like every class just plays as a magic Black person now
>PVP sucked and people abusing lag switches was gay
>horse combat got old fast
I won't be playing the DLC
Please give me the name of the build generator
lemonparty.org
er-build-planner.nyasu.business/
I can't wait to use her
Hopefully we finally see some dragonpussy in the DLC
my DLC wishlist is for not every boss to have a "this is my sip punish move and I will use it on command every single time you press square" move
Is there anywhere I can rechallenge bosses without doing multiplayer or starting NG+? It takes like 20+ minutes just to get matched in someones world to fight a boss.
>ARCucks
soo... all this level 150 talk is because of PVP? really? how many people do pvp anyway?
No, the FROM made builds SPECIFICALLY MADE FOR THE DLC were 150.
so is this a way to validate just leveling to 150?
No you moronic c**t, 150 was the level the demo characters were set to.
138 is the meta
Its because thats the level fromsoft had players at when playing the preview
shitters are coping that fromsoft themselves want you to be 150 because of the builds they gave streamers to use
in reality they were given overleveled toons so they could see more in the limited time they got to play
>game is set after Mohg
>people usually get 140+ at Mohg because souls there give a frick ton
moronbro?
Mohg is rl90-100
lol
rofl
I mean he's not wrong. You'll probably do him after Niall which is like SL 70-80. Mohg is end game-ish but he's easier than the real end game bosses.
>the meta
>there's a level range for good matchmaking
No way
>letting random people dictate the way you play
You fricking serious?
I'm not a fan of turbo bloated "builds"
>Rune bear
what was from thinking?
>rune bears, farum azula dragons, crucible knights, caelid dogs/birds, everything reading inputs, most of the bosses
Yes. What WAS From thinking
Waterfowl Dance was a mistake and should've stayed in Sekiro.
just throw a frost pot at her
No. I'm not going to farm mats for gimmick shit.
see
just use the perfect block tear from the dlc 😉
>letting her get free heals
if one flurry of slashes worth of healing makes the difference between you losing or not you didn't deserve to win anyway
No but it makes an already annoying fight even more miserable
>blocking when next to no shields have 100% negation
>blocking on an empty stamina bar
You're moronic
Feeling pretty good, ready to dust off my Paladin.
>actually using that garbage "sword"
Thought I would try to help shitters with mohg but it doesn't matter if its my level 100 or level 125 character, I dont get summoned at all.
Ummm everyone just uses spirit ashes, chud. Why would I want to interact with you creep?
AI taking away more jobs from hard working americans like me. you hate to see it
That's some good fashion at least.
password summoning (and to a lesser extend the seamless co-op mod) has really ruined the online for this game
>get summoned
>host dies before he even brings out the NIHIL
bruh
I can't wait for le epic dogshit bosses with 100000000 health and they have one actual punish where you get 1 swing in and all the other "punish windows" are fake because the game input reads you and then lets them do their epic tricky followup
Same bro
>reddit filename
QED
How do you know what a reddit filename looks like?
Oldgay here. Its just common Ganker knowledge. That being said, its an imgur filename which is literally just one of the most popular image filehosts on the internet.
I also only know what "Reddit spacing" means because of Ganker
he means how it's an imgur filename
i didn't get it at first either but these days the only place you use imgur is gonna be reddit
No one is getting to mohg at 70 unless they know what theyre doing, you guys are nuts
You can easily get to 120+ after Radagon with no grinding whatsoever. And the order people to radagon/malenia/mohg is pretty random and dependant on the playthrough
God, I love STR / FAI
>Defense Talisman
>Black Flame Protection
>Physick with Defense and Poise
>Buff Host with Regen and Golden Vow
>almost 80 Defense for at least 90 seconds
>sit on top of boss never taking any damage
>never getting stunned
>Spamming Maliketh's Black Blade Ash of War for % Damage
It's so silly. I'm so ready for the DLC.
