In my opinion, this is the funniest thing that has happened on Ganker in years.
Elden Ring fans accidentally admitting the final boss of their beloved DLC looks like low effort garbage is one of the most amazing own goals in Ganker history.
How? People haven't reversed on it being shit. Soulsborne is well into being too popular for Ganker to own or like it anymore. It's more popular than fricking CoD now.
>saw blurry screenshots early and immediately assumed it was doomposting fake >saw webms and realized "wow they're actually fricking reusing this boss and everyone's gonna let them get away with it"
should've been Godwyn
>The miquella consort plotline was cut because miyazaki wanted ranni to be the only possible consort option
It really is funny when you think about it.
The only thing that would've annoyed me about that was if Miquella was Melina, since she's been helping from the start, it'd be a big traitor moment. Otherwise I just think it's funny in a pathetic sort of way that Ranni is the only consort option cause she's miyazakis waifu for elden ring, so you can't have any other options in game.
This is probably one of the better Ranni arts I've seen because it actually draws her rope body and she doesn't have gigantic breasts or supple looking skin. The only part that is missing is her spirit face.
Because the DLC was very unfinished, it seemed like they would do a branching path story based on how it starts, but they decided against it because it would make the project scope larger, which was just a DLC, a whole new game. You could have aided Miquella with Leda or joined the conspiracy to fight him with Ansbach. Instead of that, we just got fricking railroaded into Miquella being a schizo that just wanted to frick Radahn. Messmer is a red herring. We fight Miquella and Radahn for reasons they don't even tell us. Miquella even tells us to yield, but the game doesn't even give the players a chance to join him. It felt so fricking unfinished compared to the base game, where everything had 3 variables and choices.
Also the DLC had very lazy writing. >Oh, you need to get up the tower to find Miquella for "reasons"
>Oh, you need to burn down the tree blocking your way. There's this guy Messmer, and he has the flames to burn it down.
>Why was he evil and the central villain of the story? Oh, he genocided people. It's too bad that he only shows up in this one cutscene and doesn't even know who you are. You're just a home invader to him.
It's fricking so lazy like ChatGPT wrote this shit based off the original Elden Ring plot.

You forgot that there's not even a cutscene transition to show you going to the land of shadows
you just loading screen there immediately

I wonder what happened there.
Still I like the companion mechanics, they should expand it in the next game, feel like actual quest characters.
They're never making a sequel. This DLC is probably the last hurrah for Elden Ring, so they just wanted to do fanservice with Radahn and Miquella. Mizayaki wants to make a different IP.
Lol. Bandai Namco will hold the studio hostage to make an Elden Ring sequel like they did with Dark Souls 2 and 3. Miyazaki never wanted those two games yet here we are. I can't believe I have to actually rely on corporate greed to get a sequel.
Fromsoft parent company sold 30% of shares to Sony and Tencent 2 years ago and claimed it was to fund expansion of publishing capabilities
Also from got the Elden Ring IP off bandai namco a couple of months ago

Dang and here I was hoping that Bandai's greed would compel Miyazaki to make a sequel. Oh well, I guess wishing for a sequel may end up being worse for my relationship with wife Ranni.

This dlc is just Miyazaki being giga autistic about making the game extremely difficult instead of fun.
Then why do all the advertising & CGI trailers with him? Make it about Miquella and expand the lore with Malenia, Radahn, and the vow. It seems like wasted resources for a Gotcha. He's not the main villain this other guy is. And it kinda fricks up the lore because who is this abandoned demigod. He's Marika's son, but it's never revealed if the father is Radagon or Godfrey
Seems like the usual From formula of writing something up and then changing everything around last minute for no real reason. Hackazaki needs to be send to the retirement home already.
Gotta sell a safe cool collectible for consoomer whales, since a gay pedobait piggybacking Miquella on frankenstein Radahn (Mohg) wouldn't fly in most cases.
>but it's never revealed if the father is Radagon or Godfrey >red hair >cursed in some way >has a butterfly item that represents him
I don't know context clues are obvious on who his father was.
From writing is just dropping some random lore bits here and there and then letting you run wild with your own schizo theories what it means.
You as the player put more time into thinking about it than they ever did.
Miquella/Radahn is beating my ass, I need to kill them before the inevitable nerf that's coming. Holy shit the attacks are undodgable, I won't summon but maybe I'll use bloodhound step? I have like 91% holy resist and nearly all powerups, holy frick I'm getting filtered.
Shield talisman + Vow and the holy barrier.
My build was to always be at max HP and defense while regening health with prayerful strikes. It decimated all other bosses till now.
are the martial arts actually good?
I tried them unleveled and they seemed to be pretty good at poise breaking random enemies really quick but not sure how good that's on bosses
Leda's sword and chest piece look so cool, it's a shame you have to kill her to get it, and Hornsent's swords look cool as well I don't know if I fricked up by killing them, someone said you can either fight them and kill them or side with them, figured it looks you out of acquiring certain items/equipment though.
I'm only driven by spite at this point. I've respecced into STR and I'm bonking every single NPC on sight. I will cheese every encounter and will purposefully ignore any story tidbits. Frick this DLC and frick Miyazaki.
Shit ending. And fromsoft are bad at making good lore and cutscenes for it. You just dint feel the game so good. Its sad cos this game have sonmuch potential with lovely geaphics and setings.
No, you don't need to summon him
To my knowledge the only guy you need to summon is the Hornsent for Messmer, and even then you don't outright brick the quest, you just get a different route
It was better than what I intended it to be. It sent femboy gays into a frenzy when they didn't get their Ranni ending and instead watch him die like a b***h.
I knew Godwyn had his own conclusion and everyone claiming he would cpme back was moronic. I expected Miquella to be the final boss but I thought he would become some monster through ascension. The narrative was a lot more subtle and nuanced since Miquella, no matter how much of a Machiavellian manipulator he can be to Mohg, Radahn, or the Tarnished, is basically doing what his mother did, terrible things just to achieve the power to "fix everything". It's not a coincidence that the DLC takes place in the Land Marika wanted to hide in shame, after discarding entirely her past and Radagon
The Carians instigated the war by cooperating with the Eternal Cities to assassinate the Golden Lineage. They fought to usurp the Fingers and protect Ranni from being forced into Godhood.
The Twin Prodigies fought to achieve Miquella's ascension to Godhood so that he could fix everything.
The remnants of the Golden Lineage, led by Godefroy, sought to assert their rightful claim as heirs to the kingdom after Godwyn's assassination.
And Morgott led the Capital in the defense of the Erdtree.
Godefroy first laid siege to Leyndell with Godrick working within the city to undermine it, but the siege was broken when Godefroy was captured and Godrick was forced to flee the city in disguise, taking refuge in remote Limgrave
Radahn and Rykard fought Morgott's forces in Altus, but weren't able to take the upper hand and were driven off as Malenia's army landed at the Shaded Castle.
Morgott's forces proceeded to lay siege to Volcano Manor but were stalemated on the mountainside.
Radahn withdrew through Liurnia, bypassed Stormveil and regrouped in Caelid.
Malenia pursued Radahn's army, cut a deal with Raya Lucaria to overthrow the Carians and laid siege to Stormveil after Godrick pissed Malenia off.
This culminated in the Battle of Aeonia.
The Fingers wanted to force Ranni to become the Elden Beast's new vessel, because Marika had become uncooperative and was too difficult to control.
Ranni didn't want to be the mindless broodmare to a space slug and resisted her "destiny."
Radahn and Rykard help Ranni rebel against the Fingers.
Radahn halting the Stars was meant to prevent Ranni's apotheosis, but it had the unfortunate side-effect of also blocking Miquella's apotheosis. Miquella understands that the Fingers are wrong, but believes that he can make a better world and solve everyone's problems by becoming a god.
The Fingers deliberately play the two empyreans against each other, intended to ascend the winner.
Godwyn is gonna be trouble along the way if he wasn't murdered. He has good relations with the dragons, the Champion of the Golden Order and can match Radahn and Malenia in battle. If the Shattering happens while he's still alive and well, the Carians and other rebelling demi gods won't last long. So yes, he has to be disposed of.

Like I said, he's a loyal member of the Golden Order and most likely the next Elden Lord to be wed with Ranni. If she decided to raise her concerns with Godwyn, she'll be locked away in a prison awaiting to be Godwyn's bride and vessel of the Elden Beast. There's no talking or compromises since the fate of the Erdtree and the Elden Ring is at stake.
>Radahn and Rykard help Ranni rebel against the Fingers. >Radahn halting the Stars was meant to prevent Ranni's apotheosis
So did he help her to go against her?
Sorry to say but half of it is fanfiction with no basis in the game, we have no idea why Radahn stopped the stars or if he was even allied with Ranni, and that is NOT why Malenia was sent to fight Radahn, the real reason is significantly stupider

Still more informative and coherent than Vatii or smaugh town. But thank you for clarifying.
All the bosses and enemies in general are perfectly balanced for the difficulty and (solo, RL150 tools). Not even Rasdahn Consort is hard. All the subhuman chinks and Gankertards crying should eat a dick.
Because none of his games start from the beginning of a story. We usually start sometime in the middle or long after the most interesting things have already happened where everything has come to a stand still or basically an end and we have to get the last frick you in to the bosses and NPCs where it doesn't really matter but its our journey so it means something to us. If there was a satisfying ending I don't think it would actually be appropriate to the setting. There are exceptions though like Ranni's ending, some of Sekiro's and...yeah that might be about it someone might say Ringed City has a satisfying ending which I can kinda understand but I wouldn't say I personally felt very fulfilled by the end of it even if we go to a new world.
It is funny that Miquella has all these grand plans, thinks radahns the best of the best, and he is like the kenshin uesugi of elden ring, so he's supposed to be a next level fighter/general, and then the random unknown tarnished murder-hobo walks in and deletes his incest brother and him like it doesn't matter, and goes home. Living in their world must feel like some kinda personal frick you from the creators.
uhhh ACKSHUALLY this is pure kino and if you disagree you need to git gay like a true professional gamer, like myself, of course. I DID beat the game frick you Mom I am NOT weak video games ARE a real a achievement FRICK YOU FRICK YOU FRICK YOU AAAA
>Base game emphasizes that Miquella really, really loves his big bro Godwyn >Was heartbroken by his undeath >Tried to cause an eclipse so he could save Godwyn from his fate >Haligtree, his base of operations, has statues of him (and Malenia) hugging Godwyn >Canonically has an incestuous feelings for one of his brothers >It's randomly Radahn for some reason
The script was absolutely rewritten from damn near scratch and I refuse to believe otherwise.
I'm also convinced it was supposed to be Godwyn but unfortunately for him he's not the epic wholesome tiny horse gravity man. Radahn's popularity literally fricked him.

They absolutely rewrote it cause they wanted to reuse Radahn instead of just making him an optional boss. This DLC absolutely should have featured Godwyn cause thats literally what was Miquella's goal in the game. Frick this rewrite bs.
Godwyn/Death stuff not appearing in the DLC aside from a couple of catacombs is a huge missed opportunity. There are a lot of those in the DLC and it sucks we won't be getting more
Well, it wouldn't be the first time Fromsoftware hasn't finished a game.
Reminder that in Dark Souls 3 retail Faraam looks hollow because the Fire is fading and with it the Gods are going hollow, similar to the Chaos creatures, but originally King of the Storm was a Lord of Cinder, thus its marked hollow appearance. Why he linked the Fire is up to debate, but some cut content text lore states that, despite the disagreement with his father over the Dragons, he still led his subjects and traced the path of the ritual to sustain the Age of Fire.
Originally Sulyvahn was the "final" (not actually final) boss, he was called Lord of the Eclipse, and was Prince Lothric reborn during the Eclipse. Red Knight (which itself was a recycle of the original plans of Oscar of Astora, also cut content in the original Dark Soul) was the true final boss (think of Gehrman/Moon Presence). The game would more or less be like this, start at High Wall, reach Emma, be told to go to the Undead Settlement
There you would actually end up in the Dungeon and reach the Profaned Capital, take the Basin of Vows (an artifact remember the Lordvessel) and face Lorian and Lothric
With the blood of Lorian & Lothric (Remember the cutscene of the statue beheading himself?) you could access the Lothric Castle. Consumed King's Garden (most likely different name) ended up with Gundyr in Oceiros arena
>So Gundyr was the consumed King?
No, absolutely. Gundyr was called Old King of Lothric
He was in that arena but was called Old King of Lothric (one of the many homages to Demon's Souls present in Dark Souls 3)
Even in the leaked screenshots he had the coiled sword, but stabbing his side and not chest (and the alpha has a different animation for extracting the sword). This is likely the object that would have allowed the player to travel, similar to the Lordvessel in the original.
>Red Knight (which itself was a recycle of the original plans of Oscar of Astora, also cut content in the original Dark Soul)
What's this about Oscar in cut content?
I believe that Oscar was supposed to kinda follow your journey, thinking himself fit to light/extinguish the flame, and then he invades you after the Gwyn foght because he wants to do opposite of whatever you choose.
Basically starts off as a friendly NPC, perhaps a bit of rivalry along the path, but ultimately becomes jealous of the Chosen Undead.
Not sure 100% about all the details any more, but that's kinda the gist of it.
No, Godwyn NEVER had anything to do with the Eclipse ritual. His attempt to kill it was entirely separate to resurrecting ghe soulless demigods in the wandering mausoleums.
Radahn being Miquella's consort was always true. The whole story makea a parallel between Marika and Miquella. Marika used Godfrey, Miquella used Radahn (both also have something on their back while retaining Lordship).
The story of Shadow of the Erdtree makes perfect sense, Miquella is just doing what Marika did, thinking he can "fix" the world but committing crimes, manipulating demigods like Rennala and Godfrey (Mohg and Godfrey) and so on. The story wouldn't be the same if Miquella could just resurrect Godwyn, there would be no drana and moral ambiguity to it, and no conflict between DLC NPCs
I'm also convinced it was supposed to be Godwyn but unfortunately for him he's not the epic wholesome tiny horse gravity man. Radahn's popularity literally fricked him.
Ironic considering all over the Internet there's just cretics unhappy that the DLC isn't yet another random Gael/Artorias appearing out of nowhere to be a boss fight
You homosexuals comparing Radahn to Godrey is getting stale real quick. The base game was quick to denigrate Radahn's attempts at this, calling him "little lion" and implying him to just be some little fanboy. The DLC making him "Godfrey reborn" is fricking disgusting. Frick Radahn, frick GRRM, and frick you for eating shit happily.
>Gets ass whooped by Morgott >Can't beat a triple amputee woman >Gets mind raped and turned into a bottom for Miquella

If that's the excuse he's not fit for combat at all. Most powerful demigod my ass.
https://gamerant.com/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-dlc-george-rr-martin/ >Elaborating on that point, Miyazaki explained that the DLC is merely a previously unused part of Martin's original mythology that FromSoftware "thought fit to tell as a new expansion."

This gay plot between Radahn and Miquella. Why do you think it's outlandish? This seems exactly like a line he'd cross and Miyazaki wouldn't. Kuro never wanted the d.
Radahn loses pathetically to literally everyone. There isn't one recorded fight he actually won. >muh stars
not a fight, just a big spell.
>Gets ass whooped by Morgott >Can't beat a triple amputee woman >Gets mind raped and turned into a bottom for Miquella
humiliation ritual that Radahngays will spin as him being cool somehow
>rejects Miquella's advances >gets so powerful he commands the stars >Malenia can't kill him so she does an outer god cancer nuke which still doesn't kill him >dies an honorable death from people who admire him >the revived version made from Mogh's body is just a shallow immitation of his glory >the entire story was about him all along
Radahnchads won and the seething and crying of his hater-bitches will echo through the void forever.
I went in as a STR/FTH build and even then I was still a little surprised at how much they catered to us. I think I found 4 spells, in contrast to some dozen or so incantations (so far)
I really hated how they treated the whole Miquella situation. He could have had good motivations but was executing them wrong. The game doesn't allow you nor give you any options to interact with him than the usual murderhobo style of killing him which is tiresome and very lame. I just wish there was something more in these games than just mindless killing since the worlds are good too look at and the character design is top notch but why does it matter if they don't add any life to it? Even most post apocalyptic games gives you options to save npc from turmoil.
>I just wish there was something more in these games than just mindless killing since the worlds are good too look at and the character design is top notch but why does it matter if they don't add any life to it?
Ranni is right there, anon. Take the Moonpill.
I understand that miyazakis philosophy is to make the game feel mysterious by giving you only little pieces of information and never giving you much to go on but it is pathetic that such a massively open game is completely linear plotwise, characters never interact with eachother, everything is subtextual and there wasnt even a real ending. its just pure laziness at this point
I thought the 2010s were about chasing le ebin story and putting it into everything they can. They wanted to get rid of boss fights and introduce story only modes into games.
>I thought the 2010s were about chasing le ebin story and putting it into everything they can
Yeah and morons kept crying "Noooo, you can't put story into a game because that's like not a movie or something" and now we have Elden Ring which literally doesn't have a story.
For me it's when brainlets regurgitate that moronic John Carmack quote about story in video games like it's so true and profound. It's just an excuse to be lazy and put in zero effort from a gay justifying his own lack of talent for storywriting.
>For me it's when brainlets regurgitate that moronic John Carmack quote about story in video games like it's so true and profound
It's literally >Some guy said so therefore it's true
I wonder if Carmack said that raping children is fine would these people start raping children?
King's Field was fine without it and so was Demon's. You got your wish with AC6 and Sekiro. Just play those and don't try to change something else into something that it isn't.
>King's Field was fine without it and so was Demon's
Both of those games had story you fricking moron. ER is the first From game that doesn't have a story
>Someday fromtrannies will understabd that games NEED story
Souls games absolutely need a better scripting system for the world
It's [CURRENT_YEAR] and we still have to rest at notbonfires so NPCs can update their states and TELEPORT, they don't even have a walking animation, or a schedule, or anything that isn't idling
>Someday fromtrannies will understabd that games NEED story
It depends, like idgaf about Ninja Gaiden's story or Monster Hunter's I just want to kill shit. From games absolutely do benefit from having real context behind the characters and monsters instead of them being silent monsters though, Isshin is still the best Fromsoft boss ever made because he's one of the few that you actually meet and know a more personal level, he's not just some zanzibarto old man he's a legend you've met and talked to several times that you finally get to see in action.
It really does. I guess it was a matter of time since there is turnover and ER probably had a lot of people working on it who hadn't worked on anything pre-DaS3. At least more games are coming out that aren't just copying the formula. Wukong and phantom blade 0 for instance.
Nah, the gameplay is great. I don't have a lot of complaints about the DLC for what it is, only what it could have been. Radahn coming back is stupid storywise but he is a completely different boss so the gameplay side works
Viewing trailers and speculating with loregays for years is never a way to get excited for a Fromsoft game since it leads to disappointment.and despair. I learned that the hard way with Dark Souls 3. The major butthurt from lore scholars lasted a week after they didn't get their Velka or Gwyn answers that they desperately theorized in the threads.
>rellana is much more squishy than malenia
They are about the same >doesn't have waterfowl dance
And? >has no lifesteal
Lifesteal is overhyped. It's easy to learn how to not get hit by Malenia. >how is she harder than malenia
Insane damage. Insane combos. Extremely show window to attack her.
>rellana is much more squishy than malenia, doesn't have waterfowl dance and has no lifesteal. how is she harder than malenia???
I assume it's because she completely trashes low functioning autistics who have a particular weird obsession against using shields. She's pretty challenging, but I won't say she's frickoff hard, however, with that moveset she must be a nightmare if you have aforementioned anal obsession.
>rellana is much more squishy than malenia
me when I go back to the castle at scadu 12 because it's completely optional
Rellana has 3k less hp than Malenia, but Malenia micro staggers from nearly any attack, so you functionally do at least double the damage. Also like everyone has said a milllion times, waterfowl is harder to dodge, but it's probably the same length as an average boss string in the DLC
She is optional, really?
Killed her to leave the first location instead of that homosexual lion thing (reskinned ulcerated spirit) which I was apparently supposed to kill for that purpose, because she was actually interesting to fight and not a moronic piece of shit with nonsensical hitboxes and attack frames. But again, I understand how horrifying must she be if you suffer from autistic moron obsession prohibiting you from blocking with shields.
You can spiritspring up to the fort of reprimand, go to the hole in Morth, then run right to the flooded entrance of the shadow fort and go straight to Messmer from memory.
Messmer and Radahn are probably the only two required fights in the DLC.
The Tarnished using their death regression in order to talk to St. Trina was really interesting.
Makes me wish they would do the same for a boss, like a boss commenting on you coming back to life or getting tired the more time you come back to fight him.
There was a lot of stuff up there though not sure what you're complaining about
The only area that went on too long with nothing in it is Abyssal Woods
This is actually my biggest complaint with the DLC. There's a LOT of wasted space, lot of running around with nothing to do. The base game had this problem at times, but there was always a catacomb or cave to find. Here they went for quality over quantity but now the overworld is so bare.
>The base game had this problem at times, but there was always a catacomb or cave to find.
No, the % of empty land in base game is like 5 times more than DLC. The DLC has more caves per km2 than base game and the caves have more rewards.
Nah, there are legit huge parts of the map with nothing in it. It's crazy how many times I'd get to the end of ~30 minute side areas and come out the other end saying "Wait nothing fricking happened".
Can someone tell me where to use the "Prayer Key" in the Shadowkeep? I acquired it recently but already went through the Shadowkeep and never came across a locked door? I know you have to go through some route in the Shadowkeep to access a certain section of the map, which I'd like to explore, but can't figure out how to get over there.
Miyazaki just refuses to listen to criticism. Everyone said that ER had no story and was too difficult. After 2 years he just made a DLC with even less story and 10 times harder.
>Elden ring >difficult
Lol, lmao.
The dlc massively over corrected on the games difficulty and confuses it with long combo strings and shockwave dodging being the ultimate skill check. Honestly they should go back and look at Orphan of Kos he's the most fun boss they ever made because of how reactive he is.
My favorite part of Souls lore is seeing every single Loretuber like Vaati conistently get proven wrong time and time again everytime a big DLC comes out that completley goes against every theory these grifters ever proposed.
Messmer kept bodying me so I put shield crash with a blood infusion on my fingerprint shield and used shield grease. Motherfricker can’t handle the wall
Where is all the new int stuff? I've gotten the lion dancer weapon art and then a random one from a cave that has Rellana's big sword slam + sweep attack. I found the merchant guy who sells the spell that makes you disappear for a second, the 72 int spell one from Rellena, and then the Carian UGS from the guy outside her arena but thats it.
So From just decided to say frick it to readability and have the thing flail around like a spastic and suddenly unleash 360 attacks? I beat the fricking thing, but that was not fun in any meaning of the word.
I'll defend everything in the DLC up until this fricking boss. I can't believe the absolute cluster frick that is phase 2. I don't know what the frick they were thinking but it's just the most antifun boss over played in a souls game.
Why can't Miyazaki write? The only Fromsoft game with a good story is Dark Souls 2 and thats only because its comprehensible and actually told to you by NPCs instead of vague item descriptions.
Why would he do it if there's a hundred morons in israelitetube trying to make sense of his bullshit? All he needs to is write some vague shit like an horoscope prediction and you'll have Vaatimoron making a 3 hour video of how it connects to Marika's ass or something.
Why did Commander Gaius just one shot me with the pig charge attack? Sometimes it does 1/3 sometimes it does 2/3 and it just did my whole bar. I didn't sc it in time though.
This battle was fricking impossible for me. Spent 3 hours banging my head against the wall.
Then I found out you can use Torrent for it, and beat it first try.
yeah it's pretty nonsensical if you go by what is in the base game
also messmer being another one of marika's kids and not being mentioned in the base game is fricking weird
I want to try and replay Elden Ring (last time I played on release weeks) before I make judgement of buying the DLC. I can just buy it in the middle of my playthrough and enter the area right? Or would I need to make new character after purchase or enter new game+?
Gotta defeat Moghwyn in his Mausoleum, which can be easily accessed by Varre’s quest early game, although you’ll be severely underleveled.
And maybe defeat Radahn, too.
It’s a somewhat late game dlc, it seems.
Massively late game considering how strong Mohg is, not sure if there are any cheese strats left for him
My biggest gripe with the DLC is how late you have access to it. Game is already basically done by that point, it sucks.
I think/thought that too however after getting frustrated with the DLC I made a new character, I am now at Mohg and have just 7 hours in game time. And that is with NOT using the Varre route, but the O'Neill route.
I still would prefer the DS3 method of having access early to mid game so you can grab the new weapons to actually use in a regular playthrough
I could beat him without using that special tear but because I was so strong I could brute force him.
Dunno if there’s a no-exploit or very git gud way to beat his gimmick while underleveled and not having that special tear you get in Altus.
>My biggest gripe with the DLC is how late you have access to it. Game is already basically done by that point
you're moronic. You can access it before you reach the mountain of giants.
Even then, it's an end game DLC for a game that's 2 years old. Why are you b***hing about this, if you didn't beat the game why bother with the DLC.
Also >Is a Rememberance for some reason
Huh?
They really should have done more with St. Trina. Considering she is the Radagon of Miquella and that Miquella went out of his way to keep her hidden there really isn't any point to finding her. Also could have used more items based on her
>Secret incantation of Queen Marika. Only the kindness of gold, without Order. Creates a small, illusory Erdtree that continuously restores the HP of nearby allies. Marika bathed the village of her home in gold, knowing full well that there was no one to heal.
— High Priest Hat
— The hat of Count Ymir, High Priest. The circular design at the top represents the Greater Will and its lightless abyss, imparting increased intelligence and arcane to the wearer.
— Though Count Ymir instructed Rellana in the sorcerous arts, he abandoned his allegiance to the moon. "It was merely the closest of the celestial bodies. Nothing more."
Even more infuriating is that this implies that there should be even -bigger- spells that deal with bigger or further celestial bodies in space, but nope- we get a THIRD fricking moon spell, what the hell.
I really fricking despise whoever develops the spell selection.
>before DLC I cared about lore >now I don't
Thanks based Miyazaki for curing my brain rot. Now I finally understand that lore and story in this game is a troony trash kek and only focus on gameplay and fun
pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and
honestly i think the worst part about the dlc is that it's an end game area locked behind mohg, so many cool weapons spells and armors you won't be able to use in the base game cause it's locked WAY too far into the game, it shouldve be accessible anytime
>it shouldve be accessible anytime
moron, it's 10 times harder than late game of ER, how the frick are you supposed to get "cool" weapons if you are underleveled?
you rush for them? like you can in every souls game imaginable? obviously some weapons are not gonna be possible but there are plenty of items you can literally just pick up off the ground.
it's like you were never there in dark souls 1 and running to go pick up the grass crest shield, you know there is a clear difference between fighting mohg one of the final bosses in the base game and just skipping all the enemies and running to pick up an item right anon? this is not a difficult concept and has been apart of the series since it's inception lmao.
>Burning the Sealing Tree teleports you to the final area >Get to the first grace to cancel the no teleport debuff, teleport to Divine Beast's grace because I remember a blocked door there >The blocked door just leads to that first grace
The frick was the point? Also, this makes Divine Beast completely optional, never doing that piece of shit fight ever again unless I want the talisman or AoW
I rather like the endings of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Sekiro.
But for the first three they're all complementary to each other, you get every ending and paint a full picture with all of them, the ending movie by itself is not that satisfying, but Sekiro breaks that, in my opinion. All of the endings are quite beautiful. Purification is my favorite artistically, even if not the most complete.
>yes today i shall be a sociopath and ruin people's day HAHAHAHHAHA >actually just show people where hidden shit is and lead them to the grace
what the frick is wrong with me
>Is there only one ending? There is no ending where we plap Miquella?
No ending with Miquella. In fact if you wanted one you just end up NTR'd. Also Leda dies too so even if you're straight you'll be disappointed.
>Miyazakuu is probably having money fights in his office or working on the next big title >DLC gives no more weapons, lore, or background setting to Eochaid >no more DLC forever-ever >still dont know what the whole 1-eye deal is about with some characters
I really am starting to hate the whole Souls-style storytelling gimmick.
The problem with Souls' "figure-it-out-yourself" gimmick is that it excuses lazy writing that results in inconsistencies, lack of depth or detail, or even just straight up plotholes.
Not making sense is one thing, but it basically looks like April Fools joke. Them greenlighting it is greatest proof that they absolutely don't give a frick, and all the deepest lore of rollslop games is worth nothing.
>miquella cuts off St Trina >stuffs her in a hole and keeps her guarded >once Radahn is back, can gift her as his personal wienersleeve
Radahnbros, we can still be bi at least...
The DLC reminded me that I outgrew Souls games for a while. Until they give us the same tools like Sekiro to deal with these DMC bosses, I can't really be assed to play anymore. It sucks knowing that there's some boss or big enemy waiting to break the rules of the game all because of the difficulty meme that has plagued this game since Dark Souls.
>Malenia/Rellana
Rellana being put on the same level as Malenia really exposes the extent of how much rollslop "community" brainrot dominates minds of local homosexuals.
Block her combos with a shield morons, you are not obliged to roll roll roll through her attacks because some autistic subhuman genetic refuse on 4chins posted about how it's the Right Thing to do (no proofs it ever did so itself). Any shield requiring 30 str works perfectly.
I've just killed her while blocking everything with a redmane shield, which is far from best in terms of stamina efficiency. Maybe you should level stamina and lower the block when you are not being hit lmao.
40 which you should have on 150+ because stamina bar is just as important for your damage as a number on weapon.
Generally I use shield talisman, but swapped it to magic res talisman for that fight because stamina was good enough.
Learn to lower the shield.

I don't use a shield. I'm Nta. I'm two handing a sword on my STR build. Using 2h talisman.
It's not the community's fault that Elden Ring says frick you to shields in the base game, then suddenly turns it around and gaslights you that you should have used a shield all along after destroying the trust in them. Hell, the best greatshield in the game next to the Golden Greatshield can only be obtained in some secret area and transversing down a dangerous hole of platforming. Thats how much they give af about shielding.
>Elden Ring says frick you to shields in the base game
Lmao what
Shields are very good in base game, moreover ER specifically innovated additional offensive moveset for shields into the usual rollslop formula and severely nerfed 2h grasp outside of str builds, they were literally trying to make use of shields attractive for people again. Little did they know that people in question were long lobotomized by decades old DS1 pRepArEtOdiE marketing to even care.
>Shields are very good in base game
No they arent. As someone who loves shields, this is a lie. The enemies in Elden Ring force you to dodge eventually. You're not allowed to block 24/7. Except if you have the Fingerprint Shield.
You can't block absolutely everything on rellana either, doesn't change that blocking solves problems with her melee attacks spam.

His attacks are easy to sight dodge
I don't understand the hitbox meme, you can literally walk under his twohand chop attacks if you do it right
Did you mean hurtbox? Because that is also fine, I killed him with literally the stubbiest weapon in the game and never had an issue
>All those strapped by the grace of go-

are people finally starting to admit that the boss design in elden ring is fricking moronic and built like its meant for a different combat system? everything has like 30 hit combos
They gotta keep it hard. That means longer combos and weirder timing. Still better than the bullet hell that was the red angel thing boss in armored core.
>everything has like 30 hit combos
100% of ER bosses can be defeated with R2 of a greatsword while not taking any damage (except for Rykard but you know why). So just try getting gud, bro.
Zanzibart was such a slumbering wound for Soulsring gays, it's amazing.
The community here genuinely laughed it off professionally and owned it when it first appeared in such good stride, and now three years later, it's a sore, bleeding, deathly reminder of everything wrong with Miyazaki that I knew was wrong since DS3, but Ganker too blind to see
welcome to true insight Black folk, you're going to hate it here.
oh god you're fricking coping
i'm sorry bro miyazaki has always been like this HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA >ZANZIBART, PLEASE... BE MY DEARLY BELOVED CONSORT, IF YOU WOULD...
You will never understand the lore behind Elden Ring because there isn't any.
Any conclusion you say about what you think happened can be countered by me.
Go on, tell me Radagon is Marika.
There's at least three problems with even that much. >Why did Radagon appear from nowhere? >Why isn't Radagon yet a God, if he already is Marika?
and most importantly >Why is Radagon represented through Misbegotten and Demihumans?
you can not answer ANY of these questions without pooling from your own brain the story that simply isn't there.
If she poise broke as easy as Melania people wouldn't be complaining. Normal R2s would often knock her around and force her to back away. Rellana does not care one bit about being you, you gotta hit her a few times with big hits while buffed to force a stagger.
Probably because they saw how much heavy weapons trivialize Elden Ring. I've beaten the game on four different builds and my heavy strength build was by far the easiest because everything gets flinched or stunned basically instantly. It wasn't that easy in previous games, so this is more of a return to form.
Yeah the DLC feels like a consequence of knowing the OP builds and not bringing them in line, plus designing shit around spirit ashes. If you use a normal build, no minmax talisman etc I don't know how someone runs through this with a longsword+brass shield
Whats even funnier is that despite being able to summon, a lot of these DLC bosses rush you right when you get through the gate. It would be one thing if we could summon outside the gate. But you literally risk dying due to the high action and range closing most bosses right now have. It's not even fair.
Same, I speed ran through the rest of the game. Malenia cheats with her animations so you can't just bludgeon her to death for free like everything else.
like the anon just said, if you summon anyone right now, the DLC health pools of bosses get tripled to basically Fire Giant levels.
Radahn is already at that level. Feels like I'm going up against the early game with zero blessings again despite having 18
unfortunately they didn't do a good enough job because Fingerprint + Barricade and stabbing people with an Antspur for a few minutes still just breezes through most things
>trying to do based old man and St. Trina simp's quests so summon them for the fight >Radahn literally taking scratch damage and oneshotting off stray hits
the second I decided to just solo him he went down way easier and I got their shit anyway, it's still ridiculous how bloated these stats get
>Malenia was either a naive trusting puppy to her brother, and ended up betrayed and abandoned >or she was just mind controlled from the start
I'm tired...
she fought Radahn for Miquella bro, didn't you read the latest armor item descriptions?
when she bloomed in his ear, she literally whispers into his ear >bussy is awaiting thee, o champion
That's exactly what my post said, but why the frick would she agree to... fetch someone's dick for Miquella?
She either is extremely moronic and believed her brother would save her, or she just got mind raped Don't forget Freyja said that Miquella healed her after the Caelid nuke, which means Miquella was present but didn't give a shit about carrying his sister back to the Haligtree or anything. She's probably still waiting for him to return with a cure to rot AIDS meanwhile he's busy polishing Frankenradahn's knob >bussy is awaiting thee
This annoyed me way more than it should because Malenia doesn't even speak in ye olde shakespearean in the base game
I think the only way to enjoy a story nowadays is to go into it with zero expectations, every story I've liked in the last couple years have been games/shows/movies/books I went into with zero expectations, while franchises I've been a fan of have done nothing to disappoint me. I went into AC6 thinking it would just be an archadey mech game and the story and characters ended up being easily my favorite of fromsoft's repertoire by a large margin, and I went into SotE expecting at least something competent and got served a heaping pile of steaming shit
>uhm actually Miquella doesn't actually care about Godwyn or Malenia >also the moon isn't divine, Ranni and Goldmask's endings are retconed and you should go be a good boy to Marika now >expectations subverted gaijin, u rike?
riveting
Rellana teacher abandoned the moon when he realized it was just a rock that only had importance because it was close.
>The circular design at the top represents the Greater Will and its lightless abyss, imparting increased intelligence and arcane to the wearer. >Though Count Ymir instructed Rellana in the sorcerous arts, he abandoned his allegiance to the moon. >"It was merely the closest of the celestial bodies. I don't think that someone figuring out the moon is just a rock would be written as abandoning his allegiance, because you get be allied with a stone.

The Greater Will is the supreme creator deity but doesn't actually act upon the world, the Mother of Fingers are literally making shit u
The Elden Beast isn't an envoy of the Greater Will, it's just one of many eldritch gods, being Order
All sources of divinity are actually from the GW, the Moon is explicitly called a lifeless rock that just happens to be closest so it concentrates magic, it isn't divine
Goldmask being about perfecting the GO is retroactively made worse because he isn't communing with the GW at all, he'll just manufacture the perfect b***h for the Elden Beast to be supreme
Ranni's ending about removing divine influence from the world by banishing the Elden Ring on the Moon makes no sense now because the GW isn't actually represented by the Elden Ring, you can't escape the GW anywhere.
All the plot points about the Carians negotiating with the GO and implementing glintstone sorcery in their religion, the reforms and fundamentalists etc. don't fricking matter because it's all from GW at the end
GW did act on the world, it just hasn't for a while now. The Mother of Fingers was obviously hearing the GW up to some point otherwise there wouldn't be a description about not hearing it anymore. I don't know where you're getting the rest of that from.

The Mother saw "signs" but that's really it, hard to say if that's a real message or if she just was schizo. The fingers were described as being inherently broken and rotted though, meaning that she hasn't been receiving messages since the two fingers were a thing. It's also implied that Metyr is extremely lonely and created the fingers to keep her company.

My interpretation is that the two fingers have been basically doing their own thing for a long time and that is part of the reason why everything got fricked up, but the GW was there helping through the Mother at some point. The Metyr thing struck me more as him being the origin of all the Carian finger golems, not so much the two fingers

Dude the fact people actually thought that fair akinned bussy boy would actually be a good guy is hilarious. Like damn you should know by now that miyazaki just straight up plaigerizes berserk for all his games
I just wish they gave us equally broken things to use in the dlc against these enemy designs. It feels even more like playing one of those bullet hells where if you get hit once, might as well start over.
I like the story for what it is and how Miquella has been plotting for ages for all this to happen. I just don't understand why he needed Malenia to rot Radahn. Unless he knew Radahn wouldn't agree and needed to reconstruct him to mind control him?
Mind control is plot poison because now there's the question of why Miquella can't just mind control Radahn from the very beginning if he was planning to have him killed and mind controlled as a meatpuppet. Like he's very easily able to do this to Mohg who is powerful in his own right and maybe Malenia so this shouldn't be out of the question, he's even present during Aeonia.
Something something Radahn would have resisted it without this. Mohg probably didn't need much coaxing and Malenia would do whatever Miquella wanted anyway or was mind controlled extremely early on. >he's even present during Aeonia
Wasn't he getting bussyknapped by Mohg during that?
>Wasn't he getting bussyknapped by Mohg during that?
Headcanon, nowhere in the game was Miquella stated to not be present during radahn vs malenia
enjoy your new lore
Nope, one of the first things we learn is that Miquella was around after Aeonia and healed Freyja from the rot by giving her a big smooch on the head, don't ask how this makes sense with existing lore
Freyja
[1170300000] Long ago, I was stricken by scarlet rot in the Swamp of Aeonia.
[1170300010] Immobile, feverish, and in great pain, I was entirely resigned to death.
[1170300020] I was left behind, and only Kindly Miquella was good enough to seek me out.
[1170300030] My wound was swollen and festering—exuding a most pungent odour—
[1170300040] and yet he drained the poison from it.
[1170300050] ...Despite my wretched visage.
[1170300060] Now, I consider this wound my compass.

Okay shit's fricked I don't know why they had to fight now
The only thing left I can think of is Miquella trying to get Malenia out of the picture so that Mohg could grab him
>he's even present during Aeonia.
is it ever acknowledged that he was present in Caelid but never tried to give his disabled sister that he just ordered to nuke herself a painkiller or something?
Nope, one of the first things we learn is that Miquella was around after Aeonia and healed Freyja from the rot by giving her a big smooch on the head, don't ask how this makes sense with existing lore
>the new story only makes sense if Mickey fricking hated Malenia from the start
Hilarious
So much haligtree twin art turned into headcanon
Miqualle chose Radahn as his consort instead of you. I like that you can kick their shit in for that fact. Miquella is doing his own thing in the background that has nothin to do with you like when he breaks his great rune as you're randomly exploring. You're pretty much an invader.
It's fitting that Ranni is the only of the siblings that gets an ending since she's the only one to accept your help at all.
journos that actually have to beat the game in order to have a full opinion and don't need to stroke their dicks online about how they soloed the boss at level 1 no blessings dagger only literally do whatever it takes in order to win, ie overleveling, summons, the works. there's a reason Sekiro, otherwise known as "the one that actually did require you to git gud," got so many of them up in a stink
It was fricking foreshadowed lmao. It's not hard to put this together with nothing but base game lore tidbits.
Radahn isn't beholden to any outer god, I don't think he even has a two fingers or a wolf since he's an Empyrean. Further, his strength is easily on par with Godfrey and he has loyal followers. His overall amount of power is pretty immense. Why wouldn't Miquella pick him as a consort?
That is usually the implicaiton of consort but it's not necessarily sexual. My interpretation was that these people are considering the status and necessity first. The female candidates just aren't viable. They're all influenced by outer gods. Further, I'm assuming Miquella can't even produce children anyway so, who cares?
His only concern is some kind of salvation by coming lord. So frick it, any means work toward that end so long as the criteria are met.
the more I see you guys talk about fricking moronic this story is if you think about it for more than two seconds the more I realize Godwyn should've been the endgame, hell he probably was at at least one point before someone decided to say frick it and go for Radahn to "subvert expectations" or something stupid
>okay so this is the part where I get kidnapped, bloodraped, turned into an old man, and Malenia kills my perfect consort that literally stopped the fate-turning stars to not frick me >unless of course neither of them actually dies in which case he's left rotting with super-AIDS and I'm completely screwed for the rest of eternity to be an old man's bussy god fleshlight >but then if it works surely the person that actually managed to kill both of these individuals in pursuit of Lordship wouldn't come after me next >and I probably shouldn't give them a second thought as to whether they could be a decent consort since my plan is great >or that trying to resurrect Godwyn would probably work better because it requires way less stupid convoluted bullshit, does not actively set people after me to kill me, and still involves incest like I desperately want
bros... he's a genius.
Miyazaki didn't write or direct any games post DaS3.
ER is by Tanimura, the Dark Souls 2 guy.
I think ER also has the best ending of any Souls games with the Ranni ending.
>with the Ranni ending.
First post worst post... Absolutely tragic day for Ganker
>Miyazaki didn't write or direct any games post DaS3.
That's incorrect. He didn't direct DS2 and AC6. That's it.
That explains why those games were so good
Dark Souls 2 (I'll find another way) has the best ending.
Frenzied Flame with Melina alive is the next best one.
Frenzied
Because he tries to subvert expectations rather than write what anyone actually wants.
where is he now?
Well, they're coping now at least.
All the people in that image are pretending the boss fight is good now

There is one, we now know that she is Marika's daughter and Messmer's sister.
But that was already established.
No we don't know that it's just assumed.
FROM rarely answer questions from the base game with DLC, if anything they just add more questions.
TOH answered a lot of questions, part of the reason why it's the best DLC
DS1 DLC, DS2 DLC and BB DLC was best
DS2 DLC is some of the best zones they've ever made
Even the snow field?
No that part sucks
the rest of Ivory King is incredible though
Miquella's feet, very potent. One whiff and you're under his spell.
i wish more endings were more cinematic instead of "lol you sit on throne"
You supposedly marry Marika in most endings but she doesn't even appear after you hug the nugget.
unironically read a book
It's an allusion to how Christ cucks fricked up Europe
dark souls 3 had a decent conclusion if you decide to let the flame die
Miquella lost.
Radahn lost.
Malenia lost.
Marika lost.
Messmer lost.
Mohg lost.
Godwyn lost.
Melina lost.
The Greater Will lost.
The Rot God lost.
The Frenzied Flame lost.
The Gloam-Eyed Queen lost.
Ranni WON.
Only waifu you can actually marry. Ranni won so hard. Why'd From limit it to only her? I love her and all but it's not exactly fair.
>The miquella consort plotline was cut because miyazaki wanted ranni to be the only possible consort option
It really is funny when you think about it.
Miquella ending is not just absent, there's a Radahn NTR plot in its place for any of Miquella's fans. Brutal.
gays just can't stop catching Ls
The only thing that would've annoyed me about that was if Miquella was Melina, since she's been helping from the start, it'd be a big traitor moment. Otherwise I just think it's funny in a pathetic sort of way that Ranni is the only consort option cause she's miyazakis waifu for elden ring, so you can't have any other options in game.
The man loves dolls. It's fine, so do I.
Why does that dude remind me of zhang fei.
It's the Jomon genes
Why would Miquella have had fans he barely existed in the base game.
Same reason Astolfo and Bridget have fans I guess
Gay guys in denial?
Miyazaki's Lightning
Why are japs so obssessed with their shitty waifus? Is it a fetish?
Pretty sure fromsoft are self publishing from now on
Elden Ring was bandai's last from game
Where did you even get that info?
Fromsoft parent company sold 30% of shares to Sony and Tencent 2 years ago and claimed it was to fund expansion of publishing capabilities
Also from got the Elden Ring IP off bandai namco a couple of months ago
Dang and here I was hoping that Bandai's greed would compel Miyazaki to make a sequel. Oh well, I guess wishing for a sequel may end up being worse for my relationship with wife Ranni.
>wanting FROM to make even more shitty soulslike rpgs after they dropped the ball so fricking hard even normals are aware these games are nothing but increasingly convoluted ways of doing I-frame rolls
This dlc is just Miyazaki being giga autistic about making the game extremely difficult instead of fun.
Fromsoft will never deliver a finished product
Let them take at least 10 more years and a more competent development team to finish all their games (aka remakes).
Yeah because that fixed demon souls... you fricking consumer clown
>Messmer is a red herring
If you didn't see this from a mile away you are actually moronic.
>Then why do all the advertising & CGI trailers with him?
Seems like the usual From formula of writing something up and then changing everything around last minute for no real reason. Hackazaki needs to be send to the retirement home already.
Gotta sell a safe cool collectible for consoomer whales, since a gay pedobait piggybacking Miquella on frankenstein Radahn (Mohg) wouldn't fly in most cases.
>but it's never revealed if the father is Radagon or Godfrey
>red hair
>cursed in some way
>has a butterfly item that represents him
I don't know context clues are obvious on who his father was.
From writing is just dropping some random lore bits here and there and then letting you run wild with your own schizo theories what it means.
You as the player put more time into thinking about it than they ever did.
>You as the player put more time into thinking about it than they ever did.
everyone did it for free
Miquella/Radahn is beating my ass, I need to kill them before the inevitable nerf that's coming. Holy shit the attacks are undodgable, I won't summon but maybe I'll use bloodhound step? I have like 91% holy resist and nearly all powerups, holy frick I'm getting filtered.
How many Scadutrees do you have? The Elden Ring pros who play this shit all day say 15 is what you should have for the fight.
17, guess I'll just become Miquella's slave...
How did you get your defense so high? I only have 70% with +3 talismans, 17 fragments and heavy armor. I'm getting fricking annihilated
Shield talisman + Vow and the holy barrier.
My build was to always be at max HP and defense while regening health with prayerful strikes. It decimated all other bosses till now.
What gear are you running? Im startin to get bored my moonveil and magic build and was thinking to try out str and fai
Wouldn't recommend STR+Faith for the final boss. Has holy res and can't stagger the 2nd phase. Complete hard counter.
use a greatshield
it makes the fight easy mode
I am a student of the Dryleaf style, and this is my Dune.
are the martial arts actually good?
I tried them unleveled and they seemed to be pretty good at poise breaking random enemies really quick but not sure how good that's on bosses
Goodnight, Sensei
Leda's sword and chest piece look so cool, it's a shame you have to kill her to get it, and Hornsent's swords look cool as well I don't know if I fricked up by killing them, someone said you can either fight them and kill them or side with them, figured it looks you out of acquiring certain items/equipment though.
Pretty sure by the time you use messmer's flame the quests are locked in
It railroads you into killing them anyways cause Mizayaki was too lazy to do other routes
You dont have to kill them at all but their quests dont end until the end of the game so I dont understand what the fricking point is.
Killing all the npcs on sight gives you the same stuff.
I'm only driven by spite at this point. I've respecced into STR and I'm bonking every single NPC on sight. I will cheese every encounter and will purposefully ignore any story tidbits. Frick this DLC and frick Miyazaki.
you will hit the boss one hit at a time and enjoy the art
20 hours in the DLC is very fun
Meteor Greatsword is the raddest weapon they've ever made
Shit ending. And fromsoft are bad at making good lore and cutscenes for it. You just dint feel the game so good. Its sad cos this game have sonmuch potential with lovely geaphics and setings.
how is Dark Souls 3 not a satisfying conclusion?
Do I have to summon Igon to conclude his quest fight? I know he has an item for summoning but I'm doing a solo run.
Also, does the same apply to other NPCs?
You did for every other quest in the games.
No, you don't need to summon him
To my knowledge the only guy you need to summon is the Hornsent for Messmer, and even then you don't outright brick the quest, you just get a different route
Bloodborne was his only coherent "story" with satisfying ends despite that world being the most gloomy of them all.
it was a satisfying conclusion to me
I liked the endings of Dark Souls 1 before the sequels ruined it all.
It's ironic that the "Age of Compassion" begind with comrades killing each other over what Miquella did to Mohg and Radahn.
He can, Shadow of the Erdtree story is an unironic 10/10.
But you didn't play it, you are just a homosexual shitposter
>all this just for malenia to tell radahn that miquella wants to frick him
Ruined
Friendly reminder that Caelid got nuked because Malenia is a fujo who wanted to turn her half-brother into her actual brother's bussy slave.
Still not clear on why it was a battle. Did Radahn say no?
Still find it crazy how hyped up Radahn is when he got utterly embarrassed by Morgott.
idk why everyone thinks Morgott is some clown to laugh at. He would have been the strongest heir if he wasn't an omen.
Morgott is the biggest gigachad in the game and does not get enough respect at all. Normal gays man.
There's nothing "gigachad" about being a kingdom's janny.
I can understand Ranni not wanting to get SLUG'D but does that really justify killing her innocent step brother? Wasn't there any other way?
Godwyn is gonna be trouble along the way if he wasn't murdered. He has good relations with the dragons, the Champion of the Golden Order and can match Radahn and Malenia in battle. If the Shattering happens while he's still alive and well, the Carians and other rebelling demi gods won't last long. So yes, he has to be disposed of.
>can match Radahn and Malenia in battle
I don't know how the black knives beat him
Death was a foreign concept back then. Imagine Godwyn's surprise when those blades the assassin have actually hurt and kill you. They're made with a fragment of the Death Rune I think.
>godwyn finding out his 99 vigor doesn't matter because he hasn't collected enough scadutree fragments
the whole gang snuck up on him while he was sleeping
You know, Ranni could've just talked to him. She just merced the guy out of the blue.
>Ranni getting SLUG'D against her will
kinda hot but the elden beast is too cute and pure for that.
>Radahn and Rykard help Ranni rebel against the Fingers.
>Radahn halting the Stars was meant to prevent Ranni's apotheosis
So did he help her to go against her?
This is more coherent and informative than any loretube video I've seen. Thank you.
Crazy that Godefroy is such an important character.
Wait, this all just sounds like Game of Thrones, the House of Dragons spinoff.
So why did Marika help assassinate Godwyn? Just her plans to free herself failed?
ima be fr fr thats satanic
It would've made more sense if it was Godwyn. They used Radahn just for hype points.
Is pic related really not in the DLC? Is it even legal to advertise something that is not the game?
The real false advertising is of Messmer's importance.
Do you not remember the Phantom Pain?
The guy who said every boss after Rellana is harder lied. Romina is slightly easier (she is like Godfrey tier).
Yeah no shit. Never listen to Ganker, it's full of shitters saying Messmer is way harder than Malenia (fricking lol)
All the bosses and enemies in general are perfectly balanced for the difficulty and (solo, RL150 tools). Not even Rasdahn Consort is hard. All the subhuman chinks and Gankertards crying should eat a dick.
I don't know about all that but Rellana is indeed the hardest From boss as of now.
>The bussy that shattered two worlds
>wake up
>check Ganker
>shazamtrannies are still malding over elden ring dlc
absolutely based Miyazaki
The term for that is "after the fall".
I like the Anri/Firekeeper/Yuria harem ending in DS3.
Aldia was a satisfying conclusion.
I thought that end of fire was a satisfying ending
Why does Japan love LGBT so much?
uhhh ACKSHUALLY this is pure kino and if you disagree you need to git gay like a true professional gamer, like myself, of course.
I DID beat the game frick you Mom I am NOT weak video games ARE a real a achievement FRICK YOU FRICK YOU FRICK YOU AAAA
Yeah I am thinking I hate Miyazaki
>Base game emphasizes that Miquella really, really loves his big bro Godwyn
>Was heartbroken by his undeath
>Tried to cause an eclipse so he could save Godwyn from his fate
>Haligtree, his base of operations, has statues of him (and Malenia) hugging Godwyn
>Canonically has an incestuous feelings for one of his brothers
>It's randomly Radahn for some reason
The script was absolutely rewritten from damn near scratch and I refuse to believe otherwise.
I'm also convinced it was supposed to be Godwyn but unfortunately for him he's not the epic wholesome tiny horse gravity man. Radahn's popularity literally fricked him.
Meant to type cucked him but that works too.
They absolutely rewrote it cause they wanted to reuse Radahn instead of just making him an optional boss. This DLC absolutely should have featured Godwyn cause thats literally what was Miquella's goal in the game. Frick this rewrite bs.
That guy hugging them is OBVIOUSLY Radahn, anon
Well, it wouldn't be the first time Fromsoftware hasn't finished a game.
Godwyn/Death stuff not appearing in the DLC aside from a couple of catacombs is a huge missed opportunity. There are a lot of those in the DLC and it sucks we won't be getting more
We could've gotten kino Godwyn and Miquella boss fights, but Miyazaki went for the DS3 DLC route of just making random shit up.
Thanks anon
In fairness Radahn loses pathetically again to a random Tarnished
Radahn loses pathetically to literally everyone. There isn't one recorded fight he actually won.
>muh stars
not a fight, just a big spell.
>Gets ass whooped by Morgott
>Can't beat a triple amputee woman
>Gets mind raped and turned into a bottom for Miquella
humiliation ritual that Radahngays will spin as him being cool somehow
>he was holding back the stars the whole time so he never fought at full strength!
I think this is the main cope. Arguably with a basis from the lore. Still a terrible record though.
If that's the excuse he's not fit for combat at all. Most powerful demigod my ass.
>random Tarnished
I think you mean the future Elden Lord
Not random, Miquella and his knights believe you are the future Elden Lord.
>No argument, just screeching
Ok
>He thinks GRRM had anything to do with the story of the DLC
lol
https://gamerant.com/elden-ring-shadow-of-the-erdtree-dlc-george-rr-martin/
>Elaborating on that point, Miyazaki explained that the DLC is merely a previously unused part of Martin's original mythology that FromSoftware "thought fit to tell as a new expansion."
And you believe him? lol
Seriously, what do you think GRRM actually came up with?
This gay plot between Radahn and Miquella. Why do you think it's outlandish? This seems exactly like a line he'd cross and Miyazaki wouldn't. Kuro never wanted the d.
what are the lothric brothers of das3
Not gay?
>rejects Miquella's advances
>gets so powerful he commands the stars
>Malenia can't kill him so she does an outer god cancer nuke which still doesn't kill him
>dies an honorable death from people who admire him
>the revived version made from Mogh's body is just a shallow immitation of his glory
>the entire story was about him all along
Radahnchads won and the seething and crying of his hater-bitches will echo through the void forever.
Miquella's a bawd and is building a harem of consorts to ravage his bussy
Shield poking trivializes everything in the DLC, just like the base game. And yes, I did beat the game.
I Antspur Rapier'd the gay duo at the end, and honestly, I'm just mad I didn't do it sooner.
I went in as a STR/FTH build and even then I was still a little surprised at how much they catered to us. I think I found 4 spells, in contrast to some dozen or so incantations (so far)
Post DLC fashion
How do I get west side of Shadow Keep? Do I have to complete the Keep or is there way down somewhere. Just killed the Hippo.
side passage from the keep
there's a way in shadow keep to go down.
the area you want to go to is on a lower level.
>Ranni is right there, anon. Take the Moonpill.
Good try, Ranni the troony, I'll never help you you c**t
I understand that miyazakis philosophy is to make the game feel mysterious by giving you only little pieces of information and never giving you much to go on but it is pathetic that such a massively open game is completely linear plotwise, characters never interact with eachother, everything is subtextual and there wasnt even a real ending. its just pure laziness at this point
It's because morons have cried that "le games can't have story" for like 2 decades now. Someday fromtrannies will understabd that games NEED story
It's literally
>Some guy said so therefore it's true
I wonder if Carmack said that raping children is fine would these people start raping children?
Frick off. Story homosexualry ruined Doom.
Depends on the game.
But yeah, I do agree that single-player open world games definitely need them in order to make the world feel more alive.
From games absolutely do benefit from having real context behind the characters and monsters instead of them being silent monsters though, Isshin is still the best Fromsoft boss ever made because he's one of the few that you actually meet and know a more personal level, he's not just some zanzibarto old man he's a legend you've met and talked to several times that you finally get to see in action.
feels like souls shit has become a parody of itself.
especially gameplay wise.
Sekiro, Dark Souls 3 and For Answer did okay, and so did Deracine.
It was a great conclusion.
Everybody was prejudiced as frick because muh no Godwyn
Radahn doesn't make any sense
yes, it makes perfect sense.
How does it make sense?
Viewing trailers and speculating with loregays for years is never a way to get excited for a Fromsoft game since it leads to disappointment.and despair. I learned that the hard way with Dark Souls 3. The major butthurt from lore scholars lasted a week after they didn't get their Velka or Gwyn answers that they desperately theorized in the threads.
i was pretty satisfied by ds3's ending and dlc.
The current difficulty ranking is (added Malenia for comparison):
Rellana > Malenia > *Huge powergap* > Romina >>>> Lion
rellana is much more squishy than malenia, doesn't have waterfowl dance and has no lifesteal. how is she harder than malenia???
>rellana is much more squishy than malenia
They are about the same
>doesn't have waterfowl dance
And?
>has no lifesteal
Romina too.
I think no story and just lore is fine in a souls game as long as it's coherent and logical which sometimes it isn't.
>I think no story and just lore is fine
... if you are a moron
AC6's ending is pretty good
Not made by Miyazaki
The Tarnished using their death regression in order to talk to St. Trina was really interesting.
Makes me wish they would do the same for a boss, like a boss commenting on you coming back to life or getting tired the more time you come back to fight him.
The rauh ancient ruins area is terrible. Its alot of riding your horse around with nothing cool to find.
That's a lot of the suothern areas too. Wait until you get to the Abyssal Woods.
Cleared that already and yes it sucked and that boss fight was annoying.
>Its alot of riding your horse around with nothing cool to find.
???
that's literally 90% of the base game as well
You at least had a shit catacomb/cave every 3 ft that you deluded yourself into thinking it might have a cool weapon at the end in the base game
That area has way more shit than the cerulean coast which is literally empty
he's the stephen king of vidya
>Draw a girl
>Call it a boy
Can someone tell me where to use the "Prayer Key" in the Shadowkeep? I acquired it recently but already went through the Shadowkeep and never came across a locked door? I know you have to go through some route in the Shadowkeep to access a certain section of the map, which I'd like to explore, but can't figure out how to get over there.
Church District
You get there by approaching Shadow Keep from the southeast
Elden Ring has satisfying endings, DS3 snuff out the flame was amazing, DS1 was great.
You need to use the east entrance to the shadow keep. You can get a summon out of it.
go west from the wizard tower that has the Jar Cannon that shoots bolts. That area of the castle is cool, won't spoil it for ya
Miyazaki just refuses to listen to criticism. Everyone said that ER had no story and was too difficult. After 2 years he just made a DLC with even less story and 10 times harder.
>Elden ring
>difficult
Lol, lmao.
The dlc massively over corrected on the games difficulty and confuses it with long combo strings and shockwave dodging being the ultimate skill check. Honestly they should go back and look at Orphan of Kos he's the most fun boss they ever made because of how reactive he is.
ring
Yes, moron, it's the hardest From game (before the DLC, the DLC is like 10 times harder).
your first souls game =/= the hardest souls game
the hardest is actually DS2 with it's fricked up design philosophy and jank gameplay.
>the hardest is actually DS2
... on opposite day. In reality Malenia is harder than all DS2 bosses combined.
You memorize one dodge pattern and Malenia is neutered. DS2 is just aids to play making it harder even before ADP bullshit.
>You memorize one dodge pattern
This goes for 100% of videogames, moron.
My favorite part of Souls lore is seeing every single Loretuber like Vaati conistently get proven wrong time and time again everytime a big DLC comes out that completley goes against every theory these grifters ever proposed.
My favorite part of Souls lore is watching every NPC die after completing their quests
Why were the long nosed frenzied flame cultists in abyssal woods running around with menorahs?
idk but after this dlc I'm starting to think tikkun olam isn't such a bad idea in the lands between.
Messmer kept bodying me so I put shield crash with a blood infusion on my fingerprint shield and used shield grease. Motherfricker can’t handle the wall
Bloodborne 2...please...my energy is waning...not much more time...
You just know if they make a Bloodborne 2, Gherman 2.0 will be gay
Just leave it in the past where its safe for the love of god
Japs dgaf about dei.
I demand more lovecraftian bloodstained nightmares
Lol it's not the early 2000s anymore. Japs are compromised too. Just look at Capcom and Square
PS6 in 2027 launch title
That'd be amazing. True system seller
Does Ranni help you out at all if you did her ending?
boys can't make babby
Not with that attitude.
ruins of rauh made me think of ico
What's a good Bow?
None of them.
Radahns final boss weapons, two copy paste twin gs with same stats and different arts of war
There are some spells at the very south edge of the map but you have to progress a bit for it to be accessible
>Got to the meme lion boss
So From just decided to say frick it to readability and have the thing flail around like a spastic and suddenly unleash 360 attacks? I beat the fricking thing, but that was not fun in any meaning of the word.
I'm about 90% through the DLC and yeah lion was the worst part by far
>I'm about 90% through the DLC and yeah lion was the worst part by far
have fun with the last 99% anon 🙂
I'm fairly certain you are expected to summon the knight woman who will tank the boss for you.
don't stay locked on
Reminder that vaatii is reading these threads
vaatividya hasn't been that relevant in a long while
vaati is a homosexual that just wants to milk money
if he had any balls the first video he'd make would be
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN GODWYN
I'll defend everything in the DLC up until this fricking boss. I can't believe the absolute cluster frick that is phase 2. I don't know what the frick they were thinking but it's just the most antifun boss over played in a souls game.
Just wait until phase 3
How much of the moronic blessing do you need to not get twoshot by bosses and to not tickle them with heavy two-handers?
Is this the final boss? I still haven't explore the east side of map.
I can't believe people think this game is hard. Literally just use shield + counterattack and you will finish it within 2 weeks max.
how many skibiditreefragments are there?
Why did Commander Gaius just one shot me with the pig charge attack? Sometimes it does 1/3 sometimes it does 2/3 and it just did my whole bar. I didn't sc it in time though.
>using an item that multiplies the damage you take
lmao have a nice day genuinely
Even if I take it off it one shot me some times. I'm just confused by the inconsistent damage. I don't know why you're mad man.
This battle was fricking impossible for me. Spent 3 hours banging my head against the wall.
Then I found out you can use Torrent for it, and beat it first try.
Just finished the dlc. Literally WTF'd at Radahn. Did I miss anything in the base game? I don't remember Radahn having ANYTHING to do with Miquella.
It did solve one issue: Why Malenia was sent to fight Radahn and leave Miquella defenseless.
>Why Malenia was sent to fight Radahn and leave Miquella defenseless.
The DLC literally turned Malenia into a Chrisposter
>I don't remember Radahn having ANYTHING to do with Miquella.
He is his half brother.
they didn't interact once in the basegame. no mention of their relationship at all actually.
>no mention of their relationship at all actually.
Their relationship is that they are half brothers.
yeah it's pretty nonsensical if you go by what is in the base game
also messmer being another one of marika's kids and not being mentioned in the base game is fricking weird
I believe this is an actual retcon because Radahn is popular. And the festival was such a great ending for him...
the dlc is not fun. can't wait until all the trainers gets patched so i can collect all the good pvp weapons.
SEX WITH MIQUELLA UOHHHHHH, MIQUELLA BELLY AND CHEST UOHHHHHHH
sneeds policy
I want to try and replay Elden Ring (last time I played on release weeks) before I make judgement of buying the DLC. I can just buy it in the middle of my playthrough and enter the area right? Or would I need to make new character after purchase or enter new game+?
yeah you can buy it whenever and enter the DLC on any character that has killed mohg and radahn
Why are you b***hing about this, if you didn't beat the game why bother with the DLC.
>entire huge st. Trina area with lots of buildup
>big jump to top, ghost npc says saint Trina is down there
>jump down
>a sludge man on a horse
the boss weapons is orphan of kos kino
Also
>Is a Rememberance for some reason
He made the player gay. A fitting end for a fromdrone.
Old Hunters and Artorias of the Abyss were a satisfying conclusions albeit.
Rellana pisses me off. Did we really need two fricking moons in one spell?
Also, why is Ymir’s boss fight just another Gideon when he’s apparently supposed to be Rellana’s superior?
Why does Miyazaki suck at making good wizard fights?
>he’s apparently supposed to be Rellana’s superior
Where is this stated
After playing for a while I realize the B team made this shitty DLC and Miyazaki is working on the next title
>before DLC I cared about lore
>now I don't
Thanks based Miyazaki for curing my brain rot. Now I finally understand that lore and story in this game is a troony trash kek and only focus on gameplay and fun
>in an alternative universe the final boss was miquella on malenias back
imagine the horror
Greatswordbros are eating good this dlc.
i'm ready to die
are pc players just porn addicts?
We're also gooners.
pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and pump and goon and
I'm sorry you can't appreciate beauty in a spiritual sense and you instantly think of masturbation when boobs are on the screen
yes, now go back to redd.it
honestly i think the worst part about the dlc is that it's an end game area locked behind mohg, so many cool weapons spells and armors you won't be able to use in the base game cause it's locked WAY too far into the game, it shouldve be accessible anytime
>it shouldve be accessible anytime
moron, it's 10 times harder than late game of ER, how the frick are you supposed to get "cool" weapons if you are underleveled?
you rush for them? like you can in every souls game imaginable? obviously some weapons are not gonna be possible but there are plenty of items you can literally just pick up off the ground.
If you can "rush for them" then you will be able to defeat Mohg and Radahn.
it's like you were never there in dark souls 1 and running to go pick up the grass crest shield, you know there is a clear difference between fighting mohg one of the final bosses in the base game and just skipping all the enemies and running to pick up an item right anon? this is not a difficult concept and has been apart of the series since it's inception lmao.
Exactly
DexGOD here. The only weapon I found for me is dual backhand blades. Can someone tell me where can I find dex kino?
I'm using a great katana as full Dex.
It's a great weapon for the bosses that don't have a lot of openings.
Where is it?
>write
have a nice day and go read a book
>Burning the Sealing Tree teleports you to the final area
>Get to the first grace to cancel the no teleport debuff, teleport to Divine Beast's grace because I remember a blocked door there
>The blocked door just leads to that first grace
The frick was the point? Also, this makes Divine Beast completely optional, never doing that piece of shit fight ever again unless I want the talisman or AoW
Is there anything for dex faithers
Why does Messmer's theme have main theme motiff in it? Composer probably thought that he is an important character lol.
>Putrid Knight
I rather like the endings of Demon's Souls, Dark Souls 1, Bloodborne and Sekiro.
But for the first three they're all complementary to each other, you get every ending and paint a full picture with all of them, the ending movie by itself is not that satisfying, but Sekiro breaks that, in my opinion. All of the endings are quite beautiful. Purification is my favorite artistically, even if not the most complete.
Do I have to use the summon for Bayle to get his gear afterwards or can I just fight him on my own?
he should resell that Steam Deck LE for 1000 dollars
>yes today i shall be a sociopath and ruin people's day HAHAHAHHAHA
>actually just show people where hidden shit is and lead them to the grace
what the frick is wrong with me
Does this have gay shit like beating a boss early ends questlines or something similar ive been wandering on my own beating random shit
Burning the sealing tree fricks up a lot of questlines
Wave 2 dlc will fix everything
Trust the plan
Is there only one ending? There is no ending where we plap Miquella?
>Is there only one ending? There is no ending where we plap Miquella?
No ending with Miquella. In fact if you wanted one you just end up NTR'd. Also Leda dies too so even if you're straight you'll be disappointed.
Mine is like this but I'm not as fat. Is it over?
>Miyazakuu is probably having money fights in his office or working on the next big title
>DLC gives no more weapons, lore, or background setting to Eochaid
>no more DLC forever-ever
>still dont know what the whole 1-eye deal is about with some characters
I really am starting to hate the whole Souls-style storytelling gimmick.
The style is fine. There's nothing wrong with the style itself. It's just the content of this DLC's story that's shit.
The problem with Souls' "figure-it-out-yourself" gimmick is that it excuses lazy writing that results in inconsistencies, lack of depth or detail, or even just straight up plotholes.
or maybe you're a moronic schizo
>Leda Fight
>Can summon NPC bros to drop in and help
>They banter back and forth
KINO
Backhand Blades + Blind Spot solve this DLC, I just first tried Midra.
I hereby formally apologize to Luminary Mohg.
He did nothing wrong.
The radahn consort thing makes no damn sense. Literal retcon.
Not making sense is one thing, but it basically looks like April Fools joke. Them greenlighting it is greatest proof that they absolutely don't give a frick, and all the deepest lore of rollslop games is worth nothing.
How is it a retcon?
>miquella cuts off St Trina
>stuffs her in a hole and keeps her guarded
>once Radahn is back, can gift her as his personal wienersleeve
Radahnbros, we can still be bi at least...
The DLC reminded me that I outgrew Souls games for a while. Until they give us the same tools like Sekiro to deal with these DMC bosses, I can't really be assed to play anymore. It sucks knowing that there's some boss or big enemy waiting to break the rules of the game all because of the difficulty meme that has plagued this game since Dark Souls.
what if havel was a girl
holy frick Radahn hits hard
>everyone called mohg a rapist
>was being mind controlled by the so called "victim"
this dlc is a bit strange
just like the gooners spamming female (male) porn on Ganker
Because he doesn't care about story
>Melina doesnt even make an appearance even if she doesnt sacrifice herself in the playthrough
Why would she make an appearence?
doesnt she do some threatening c**t monologue in the frenzied flame ending?
What the frick does it have to do with the DLC?
Messmer is pretty hard, not sure if Malenia/Rellana hard.
Sorry, Pedro, but full combo of Rellana will destroy any shiled.
I've just killed her while blocking everything with a redmane shield, which is far from best in terms of stamina efficiency. Maybe you should level stamina and lower the block when you are not being hit lmao.
What's your END, and are you using great shield talisman?
>You can't block absolutely everything on rellana either, doesn't change that blocking solves problems with her melee attacks spam.
you just contradicted yourself.
>Block and guard counter melee hits which are mostly physical even when she buffs
>Don't block elemental hits that you are confident about dodging
>Block elemental hits you are not confident about dodging and take some chip damage rather than full bar
>you just contradicted yourself
???
>putrescent knight
literally king of delayed attacks and his hitbox is fricking awful
His attacks are easy to sight dodge
I don't understand the hitbox meme, you can literally walk under his twohand chop attacks if you do it right
Did you mean hurtbox? Because that is also fine, I killed him with literally the stubbiest weapon in the game and never had an issue
>All those strapped by the grace of go-
SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UPSHUT UP SHUT UP
NEEDLE KNIGHT LEDA, DRYLEAF DANE, AND OUR ALLIES, WILL NEVER ALLOW THIS.
Are these morons who say everything oneshots them unironically don't use Scadutree fragments?
They might have less than 60 VIG
I have 40 and I don't get oneshotted.
By who, and with which attack? Can you take a full bellyflop from the avatar of frenzy?
are people finally starting to admit that the boss design in elden ring is fricking moronic and built like its meant for a different combat system? everything has like 30 hit combos
You mean a colossal sword? My great sword isn't staggering a damn thing. At least not that easily.
Zanzibart was such a slumbering wound for Soulsring gays, it's amazing.
The community here genuinely laughed it off professionally and owned it when it first appeared in such good stride, and now three years later, it's a sore, bleeding, deathly reminder of everything wrong with Miyazaki that I knew was wrong since DS3, but Ganker too blind to see
welcome to true insight Black folk, you're going to hate it here.
schizoposting
see
they hate it, bro.
that has nothing to do with zanzibart memes
there are a few that do it but miquella does not
oh god you're fricking coping
i'm sorry bro miyazaki has always been like this HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
>ZANZIBART, PLEASE... BE MY DEARLY BELOVED CONSORT, IF YOU WOULD...
you're making shit up in your head, good luck with that
that reply was instantaneous, man
you're the one making shit up here
you will never be a writer anthony
You will never understand the lore behind Elden Ring because there isn't any.
Any conclusion you say about what you think happened can be countered by me.
Go on, tell me Radagon is Marika.
There's at least three problems with even that much.
>Why did Radagon appear from nowhere?
>Why isn't Radagon yet a God, if he already is Marika?
and most importantly
>Why is Radagon represented through Misbegotten and Demihumans?
you can not answer ANY of these questions without pooling from your own brain the story that simply isn't there.
Are people really having trouble with Rellana?
Did people forget poise exists?
>Are people really having trouble with Rellana?
She is the hardest Fromsoft boss ever so of course people are having trouble.
I just facetanked her. She was kind of easy to stagger too.
Weapon?
I use double Omenkiller cleaver
forgot picture
Looks cool
Idk man. Radahn 2 looks tough. I haven't beat messmer or commander pig yet though, so idk.
90% of players use some casual tier dex sword or magic so the poise penis inspection gets failed
If she poise broke as easy as Melania people wouldn't be complaining. Normal R2s would often knock her around and force her to back away. Rellana does not care one bit about being you, you gotta hit her a few times with big hits while buffed to force a stagger.
Why does ever fricking DLC boss have high poise
>Why does everн fricking super endgame boss have high poise
Because they are super end game?
Probably because they saw how much heavy weapons trivialize Elden Ring. I've beaten the game on four different builds and my heavy strength build was by far the easiest because everything gets flinched or stunned basically instantly. It wasn't that easy in previous games, so this is more of a return to form.
Ds3 was a cakewalk with STR. Even more so than ER.
Brass Shield is OP Meta.
Try the lion beast crest black shield instead.
This fricked Lucatiel’s quest in 2.
the only time I had trouble with my str build was against Malenia. She seemed like she was built more for agile builds and lower weight loads.
Same, I speed ran through the rest of the game. Malenia cheats with her animations so you can't just bludgeon her to death for free like everything else.
Radahn is already at that level. Feels like I'm going up against the early game with zero blessings again despite having 18
unfortunately they didn't do a good enough job because Fingerprint + Barricade and stabbing people with an Antspur for a few minutes still just breezes through most things
Classic.
Also I feel in love with the skeletal banana even though it has dogshit AR and it takes 3 years to proc frostbite.
The WA is too much fun.
GG. I beat him last night. It was pretty tense at the end.
now that the hackeri is out of the bag, everyone can agree Xenobalde 2 is the best jrpg of the decade
WHY CANT I SUMMON ANYBODY REEEEEEEEEEEE
Bro, he just use SA. Summons beef up the bosses way too much.
like the anon just said, if you summon anyone right now, the DLC health pools of bosses get tripled to basically Fire Giant levels.
>trying to do based old man and St. Trina simp's quests so summon them for the fight
>Radahn literally taking scratch damage and oneshotting off stray hits
the second I decided to just solo him he went down way easier and I got their shit anyway, it's still ridiculous how bloated these stats get
>Summon Thiollier
>he takes five minutes to walk through the fog door
>Malenia was either a naive trusting puppy to her brother, and ended up betrayed and abandoned
>or she was just mind controlled from the start
I'm tired...
she fought Radahn for Miquella bro, didn't you read the latest armor item descriptions?
when she bloomed in his ear, she literally whispers into his ear
>bussy is awaiting thee, o champion
That's exactly what my post said, but why the frick would she agree to... fetch someone's dick for Miquella?
She either is extremely moronic and believed her brother would save her, or she just got mind raped
Don't forget Freyja said that Miquella healed her after the Caelid nuke, which means Miquella was present but didn't give a shit about carrying his sister back to the Haligtree or anything. She's probably still waiting for him to return with a cure to rot AIDS meanwhile he's busy polishing Frankenradahn's knob
>bussy is awaiting thee
This annoyed me way more than it should because Malenia doesn't even speak in ye olde shakespearean in the base game
I can finally say I don't care about Elden Ring or Dark Souls lore anymore, so in a way, I feel free.
I think the only way to enjoy a story nowadays is to go into it with zero expectations, every story I've liked in the last couple years have been games/shows/movies/books I went into with zero expectations, while franchises I've been a fan of have done nothing to disappoint me. I went into AC6 thinking it would just be an archadey mech game and the story and characters ended up being easily my favorite of fromsoft's repertoire by a large margin, and I went into SotE expecting at least something competent and got served a heaping pile of steaming shit
>uhm actually Miquella doesn't actually care about Godwyn or Malenia
>also the moon isn't divine, Ranni and Goldmask's endings are retconed and you should go be a good boy to Marika now
>expectations subverted gaijin, u rike?
riveting
>also the moon isn't divine, Ranni and Goldmask's endings are retconed and you should go be a good boy to Marika now
where are you getting this from
Rellana teacher abandoned the moon when he realized it was just a rock that only had importance because it was close.
Nothing more."
That's just someone losing their faith, it isn't some objective message about the moon
Ymir's a weirdo but he's smart, and the fact that Rellana uses multiple moons in her attack makes me think he's correct and it's really not that special.
I don't think that someone figuring out the moon is just a rock would be written as abandoning his allegiance, because you get be allied with a stone.
GW did act on the world, it just hasn't for a while now. The Mother of Fingers was obviously hearing the GW up to some point otherwise there wouldn't be a description about not hearing it anymore. I don't know where you're getting the rest of that from.
get->can't whoops
>The mother of all Two Fingers and Fingercreepers was in turn a magnificently gleaming daughter of the Greater Will, and the first shooting star to fall upon the Lands Between.
It's all fingers
All the plot points about the Carians negotiating with the GO and implementing glintstone sorcery in their religion, the reforms and fundamentalists etc. don't fricking matter because it's all from GW at the end
>a bunch of headcanon with no source
Thanks for the early release, Vaati, but I don't fricking care. Use item descriptions and in-game sources next time or politely have a nice day.
>also the moon isn't divine, Ranni and Goldmask's endings are retconed
please, elaborate, if you would...
It seemed like the common consensus was that Goldmask's ending isn't actually a gug ending
why would she blush? she fight completely naked
Because she saw my erect penis.
Dude the fact people actually thought that fair akinned bussy boy would actually be a good guy is hilarious. Like damn you should know by now that miyazaki just straight up plaigerizes berserk for all his games
then he forgot that there's good stuff that happens in berserk too. Especially after griffin gets his army and Guts gets his party of friends.
I haven't seen the fat merchant dude since he left the starting area and I feel like I'm nearly done with the dlc. Do I ever see that dude again?
have you tried checking behind every bush and in obscure hidden caves as per elden ring fashion?
The guy can't write shit. I believe he has never read a book or even watched a film
I just wish they gave us equally broken things to use in the dlc against these enemy designs. It feels even more like playing one of those bullet hells where if you get hit once, might as well start over.
So you're telling me because I didn't want to summon for a bossfight I've fricked up a questline? Can I even get Hornsent's stuff now? Ridiculous
You don't need to summon anyone for Hornsent's stuff. You just have to help Leda kill him.
why am i not summoned at 150 at lion?
Did you check you haven't set a password to you multiplayer content?
I forgot about that earlier
i deserve to be slapped
had a password on
>150
lol
what should lvl be
I get summoned plenty of times at 150.
But that guy probably meant you're supposed to beat the game at level 50 without summons and bare handed
i farmed runes to lvl 150 thinking people were playing at that lvl but i had passwords on
have fun playing with hosts that never invested a single point in vigor.
If you lose aggro for a second, the battle is lost.
Yeah people that overlevel are commonly shit at stat distribution for some reason
what level is ideal then
125, 150 gets plenty of summons but is a sharp, sharp decline from 125/137
>wanted miquella to be our companion throughout the shadow realms
>instead, it's just a typical "murder the next god" spree
me too anon, me too
I wanted to ride around with Torrent with a pretty little blonde girl(male) hugging my waist
I wouldnt mind that he was manipulating you to eventually get to Radahn. At least stop giving us mindless murder spree shit.
I like the story for what it is and how Miquella has been plotting for ages for all this to happen. I just don't understand why he needed Malenia to rot Radahn. Unless he knew Radahn wouldn't agree and needed to reconstruct him to mind control him?
because everyone has concluded it's a retcon. That or someone else wrote this without actually reading the story.
Where? Shit makes zero sense if that's true
Okay shit's fricked I don't know why they had to fight now
The only thing left I can think of is Miquella trying to get Malenia out of the picture so that Mohg could grab him
>he's even present during Aeonia.
is it ever acknowledged that he was present in Caelid but never tried to give his disabled sister that he just ordered to nuke herself a painkiller or something?
>the new story only makes sense if Mickey fricking hated Malenia from the start
Hilarious
So much haligtree twin art turned into headcanon
>Miquella sent Malenia to kill Radahn
>"oh I suppose he couldn't mind control Radahn"
>he mind controls Radahn immediately afterwards
Look, I'm trying to make sense of this okay. There needs to be some reason for Malenia and Radahn to fight or the plot falls apart.
>Forgive me... Nagatoro...
>chuckled so hard I died to his opening AoE.
This place ruined me.
List of demigods who canonically, undoubtedly, absolutely did nothing wrong
>Rennala
>Morgott
>Radahn (NEW)
>Malenia (NEW)
>Mohg (NEW)
>Journalists are more skilled than Ganker
Grim.
journos that actually have to beat the game in order to have a full opinion and don't need to stroke their dicks online about how they soloed the boss at level 1 no blessings dagger only literally do whatever it takes in order to win, ie overleveling, summons, the works. there's a reason Sekiro, otherwise known as "the one that actually did require you to git gud," got so many of them up in a stink
>first phase radahn can't lay a finger on me
>I can't lay a finger on second phase
And I was having so much fun up until this point...
So, tell me about the Scadutree.
Is it any way related at all to godwyn, or is the
>radagon = beta godwyn
true?
It was fricking foreshadowed lmao. It's not hard to put this together with nothing but base game lore tidbits.
Radahn isn't beholden to any outer god, I don't think he even has a two fingers or a wolf since he's an Empyrean. Further, his strength is easily on par with Godfrey and he has loyal followers. His overall amount of power is pretty immense. Why wouldn't Miquella pick him as a consort?
I mean't to say NOT an Empyrean. Eat my ass.
because they're both guys?
That is usually the implicaiton of consort but it's not necessarily sexual. My interpretation was that these people are considering the status and necessity first. The female candidates just aren't viable. They're all influenced by outer gods. Further, I'm assuming Miquella can't even produce children anyway so, who cares?
His only concern is some kind of salvation by coming lord. So frick it, any means work toward that end so long as the criteria are met.
the more I see you guys talk about fricking moronic this story is if you think about it for more than two seconds the more I realize Godwyn should've been the endgame, hell he probably was at at least one point before someone decided to say frick it and go for Radahn to "subvert expectations" or something stupid
>okay so this is the part where I get kidnapped, bloodraped, turned into an old man, and Malenia kills my perfect consort that literally stopped the fate-turning stars to not frick me
>unless of course neither of them actually dies in which case he's left rotting with super-AIDS and I'm completely screwed for the rest of eternity to be an old man's bussy god fleshlight
>but then if it works surely the person that actually managed to kill both of these individuals in pursuit of Lordship wouldn't come after me next
>and I probably shouldn't give them a second thought as to whether they could be a decent consort since my plan is great
>or that trying to resurrect Godwyn would probably work better because it requires way less stupid convoluted bullshit, does not actively set people after me to kill me, and still involves incest like I desperately want
bros... he's a genius.
Wasn't resurrecting Godwyn all the Eclipse stuff that failed?
