>casually get into ED >grinding mining missions and just general space travel is super comfy >stop playing before Odyssey dlc >feel the itch to return for the first time in months >ok, let's see if I want to get back on this game, and if I like it enough to buy the dlc >forgot the controls >accidentally shoot my ship's weapons when trying to leave the space station >get btfo by the space police and sent to bumfrick nowhere >lost all motivation and uninstalled the game
Can you just reset your progress and start all over? I haven't played in a long time and have forgotten nearly everything about it. And is the dlc fun?
I backed this game expecting there to be ship interiors
I think I played it for 20 minutes before i was interdicted in my starter ship by some sweat lord and blown up. Haven't played since.
it is truly a dark day when a redditor answers a question and a channer doesn't
Update 13 >Scenarios and features added to reflect the finale of the Azimuth Saga in game. >Lots of bug fixes and small Ui improvements >Players can no longer access impounded ships. >Added Exobiology ship decals which were previously missing. >Fleet Carrier livery options are now available whilst on foot. >Minor improvements to other features.

This game has been so soul numbingly boring for so long you would have to the type of player who enjoys scenery or extremely autistic and obsessed to still be playing this shit.
it wasn't that tedius. just find a planet, land on rover, scan, kill drones, main menu, switch to offline, repeat from step 4, switch to online - ok yeah it was frickin tedious, especially with finding all the guardian blueprints
>have to create an account in a separate website >create it, link to my steam account, verify email, blah blah blah >try to login on the launcher >YOU NEED TO PURCHASE ELITE DANGEROUS
I literally downloaded the game from Steam you fricking subhumans, why can't you just let me play?
I did open it from Steam, for some reason I had to close and reopen the launcher and then it finally let me play. Anyway I did some tutorial missions and stuff, seems cool.
I wasn't around when Engineers were added, but still they killed the game for me. When I realized how excruciating it would be to grind for the things I'd need to improve my ship, it destroyed my willingness to do anything. Imagine having enough money to buy yourself an aircraft carrier, and that money can't buy you one alien artifact or a couple of military supercapacitors.
Is the game good now?
It was never good and will never be good.
what a shame
it was a good game
*Lip smack*
what a rotten way to die
I've given up on the game and probably won't return.

All I want is ship interiors
that's what people said about space legs
you'll get interiors, walk around an interior for like 10 minutes then get bored and log out
All I want is no more npc interdictions but it ain't happening.
ship interiors will arrive but not anytime soon since the player count for the game is dwindling and that's why they released star port interiors.
Combat specific update.
My grind for guardian weapons. Doesnt work in that system.
Boring so far.
For me, it's exploration.

Yes you can even delete your entire character.
The dlc is widely regarded as the reason no one talks about the game anymore. Stick with Horizons.

what happens in update 13? Is ground combat less bullshit?

Does the steam user "Dolphin Bottlenose" work for Fdev? I see this person everywhere on the steam forums for this game.
I have never been ganked except during those system events where you submit resources.

Did they make the engineer material grind less tedious or change it so that it doesn't feel like a necessary chore if you don't want to be gimped?
This thread reminded me I've had this game for years and never touched it, I guess I'll finally give it a spin.
don't farming for guardian modules unless you plan on fighting the bugs
the ruin farming is really REALLY boring and tedious

you need to open it from steam
you're missing the login token if you directly open the game launcher
dummy

i have a fully engineered imperial cutter
i have nobody to play with
i have spent several hundreds of hours grinding, for what?
i spent three years grinding in this game and i feel the same way what was all this fore. Elite has so much potential and its all wasted
Should have taken the Fer-De-Lance pill and embraced the life of a reclusive exceedingly rich bounty hunter.
Man, this game is completely shit lmao, they literally added nothing, other then more fricking grind lmaoooooooo
I don't understand what is this meme with adding insufferable grind to every space game
I bet it's EVE boomers behind it somehow
Dead game.
Did they finally add VISION?
Engineers killed this game for me.

>he's worth the haul of 5 minutes of laser mining
Makes sense
