I am playing as Umbral Choir and last quest of faction questline requires me to

How the hell am I supposed to take control of the system, if I play as Umbral Choir? It's not like I can just send colony ship there, can I?
When I try to hack it, I get "You cannot hack this empire". Is it because it is uncolonized?
When I try to fire Obliterator, I get "This planet cannot be destroyed,because it's currently involved in a quest".

you normally can't form outposts in hostile spheres of influence but I don't think that matters UC. I dunno though so I'll play a UC game tomorrow and see what it could be because I'm curious.
nevermind that other anon was right about using your military. you just need to invade and occupy the system with some ships. You might not be able to until you declare war on Sophons because the system is in their territory.

Right, I didn't realized the system is occupied by independent faction that i can invade. I tried sending ships there already, but since they were cloaked, option to invade was greyed out.

I like the aesthetics of ES2 much more, although Stellaris has the mods.
Anyone tried going Mezari? Every time I play UE I eventually go bootleg Imperiun of Man with religious Sheredyn.
I tried it the first time I went UE, the science bonuses are neat but you'll still be outpaced by more natural science races.
I've always found that going proper UE had the best results, more production is always useful.
