I figured it out. I had the camera enabled in Geforce Experience. Last game I played a game (not Portal 2) I ragequit and angrily mashed my keyboard to Alt+F4 so I guess it enabled it somehow lmao. I've never used camera with Geforce Experience so it was like wtf lol :S

Different anon but it has a really nice screen recorder that doesn't eat up a lot of resources. You used to be able to get shadowplay by itself, but it got rolled into geforce experience.
I stopped using it the moment they started requiring a log in. I'm using Linux now and all I have to do to get my drivers is update my system
I just log in using a throw away email account. Its not a huge deal. I don't even think it requires you to verify it but I could be mistaken. Its primarily used for recording gameplay, so if you're on linux you probably don't give a shit about it anyway.
Cuz it gets the cleanest and smoothest gameplay capture ever, with like a 5fps cost. OBS can't compete I've tried both.
Msi afterburner can do the same with no online acccount.
