Bragging rights is exactly it. People play them so they can say they've beaten them. They join discussions so they can call the people who haven't beaten them bad at video games. They tell the people that HAVE beaten them they're bad at video games for beating them "the wrong way." It's nothing but a dick measuring contest.
Elden Ring in a fricking nutshell. Just watched a streamer tale 3 hours to beat a boss that was just endlessly swinging and using magic. Annoyed just watching it.
There's literally a mechanic exclusive to this DLC that allows you to hit the enemies harder and take less damage when you're hit, and if you're not utilizing it you don't get to complain.
Correct. All the normal rules still apply if you want to beat the game as Miyazaki intended.
No items.
No spells.
No weapon arts.
No player summons.
No spirit summons.
No cheesy ai interactions.
No consumables (besides the estus flask).
It's of course your choice if you want to dip into easy mode, but us real gamers still know the drill.

If you jumped to dodge attacks instead of rolling you didn’t beat the game

You forgot: no jump attacks, no heavy attacks, no weapon upgrades
>>just spend 15 hours grinding bosses with one chance to hit them every minute that two hit you
That is the whole point of these fromslop games though?
Correct, Souls games were built with NES sensibilities. You beat your head against the wall and grind it out running back to the boss just to get 5% more damage on it and eventually you win. Decrying Souls is decrying video games in their purest form.
Frick no I was playing dark souls for the exploration and the atmosphere. Bloodborne had the perfect balance with impressive boss giving you a decent challenge, cool choreographies and spectacular transitions and you were able to do some trade-offs, the game was designed for it.
ER dlc is an abomination, what a clueless boomer watching a kid play soulsborne may think of what the game is about with seventeen attacks in a row.
>with one chance to hit them every minute that two hit you
Most ER bosses only take like 2 minutes sometime up to 4. The big exceptions are Fire Giant, Placidusax, and Elden Beast which are all around 6.
>insert that clip of the mario speedrunner having a crisis on stream questioning their life choices
looking to games for a sense of accomplishment is a fruitless endeavor, literally just do anything else.
because people never have or will go postal and lose their minds over "fulfilling" careers or relationships either surely, self-realization is a pipedream
Maybe you should try getting a job, getting fit, leaving the snacks and cokes alone for a while and going outside to meet other people than morons online.
bro that's literally an npc... how are you losing? *crying laughing emoji*
post yfw >CURSE YOU BAAAAAAAAYLE!
EXQUISITE PAIN
For the life of me I won't understand how people play these shit games that don't respect their time in the slightest. Bosses with unreactable patterns you need to memorize in 30 attempts, each with 2 minutes of loading, 10 minutes runback and 2 minutes of gay cutscenes. I'm so glad I got DS1 for free and didn't waste any more time on it than needed.
He's a "Tree Sentinel" a very straightforward enemy who is just tanky and hits really hard. He's there as a wakeup for people who are expecting to faceroll everything with a high level character.
Same thing happened to me lol
I beat Malenia after about 10 or so tries. Get into the DLC, and Rellana bodies the frick out of me for 20 go's.
Malenia truly got just robbed this DLC.
you need to get scadushards so you take less damage. he isnt that hard, really. he just hits like a mack truck. took me maybe 10 attempts with 1 scadu level, but it was never frustrating because he has a relatively simple moveset with zero bullshit.
wait until you face the death knight >teleports back >instantly teleports forward and grabs you for 90% of your hp >machinegun lightning spears >999 poise >long combos >frickton health
i'm rapidly losing my will to play this, it's not a fun exploration it's just a slog through more and more moronic enemies
From started out as harsh but fair, now they're that annoying kid who always has to win because his guy has special wizard armor and a sniper M16 with rocket bullets
Bro he gets staggered easily like a moron. I use two spears and bullied him. Just don't get greedy when he goes two handed because he gets some serious poise
>new games come out >bosses are more bullshit than the last >fanboys eat up the bullshit, beg for more >get what they asked for
Not seeing the problem here.

Boss difficult was fine until the last 4 or 5 bosses in ER, they are moronicly difficult.
The earlier games were a lot more balanced and the difficulty was just a way to immerse the player. The highlights were the world, level design, that sense of adventure. Now its just theme park treadmill to fight spazmo bosses with massive damage and HP, while we're stuck with DS movement. From need to make a proper action game already.

The only two bosses of the main ones that are legitimately asinine bullshit are Malenia (because of waterfoul only) and Malekith (that entire fight is pure asscancer and I hope whoever designed that boss dies screaming)
Everything else ranges from "what the frick is going on" (Placidusax and Elden Beast) to actually good (Radagon and Godfrey)

>From need to make a proper action game already.
I dont see this happening tbh
From only knows how to make glorified rhythm games, their combat is only kinda good in humanoid fights, but in ER humanoids have way too much poise so even thats busted. Real action games have a sense of back & forth that is simply not there in souls pve
>if you include juggleslop at all you are disqualified
Worst part of DMC honestly
If you pay attention all the best parts of 3D action games are just balanced 1v1 fights, essentially 2D fighting games in 3D
>The earlier games were a lot more balanced
LOL
So you never played those games?
Shitters are mad because they can't poise tank or cheese everything with magic, I guess.
cheese was OP in early souls games, but people rarely used them because the games were genuinely easy
in elden ring, everybody uses the same cheese builds because the game is simply too hard to enjoy for most people if you're using a suboptimal build
ER is designed for you to cheese it
beating the game with a weak build is now an optional challenge for poopsockers, not the intended strategy
I remember the game expecting to run back to the bus over the same ugly ramparts/towers/ladders, with about 10 useless skelly enemies respawning along the way every time which after two boss attempts I defeated via pure muscle memory. Literally no benefit other than the designer swinging his balls in your face to be like special and different from all the other video games that have non-moronic save points or quick retries. That shit literally had nothing to do with boss difficulty, pure time wasting.
There should be an optional setting in Souls games where each time you die to a boss the boss gets tired and easier until you eventually win. This would allow people to flex early kills, or grind it out.
This. Went back to DS2 and good god what a breath of fresh air compared to ER.
They made some questionable decisions for sure and there's the hint of future to come with the DLCs but its still not as pants on head moronic as this shit.
It only got moronic in elden ring, arguably bloodborne too but you had more offensive options in that game instead of waiting around for 60 seconds before being able to attack once.
>spirits are still the main reward of most dungeons >addend a way for spirits to keep up with the DLC difficulty >added consumables and amulets to improve spirits >but you're not supposed to use them
If you drop your ego and jump attack spam/bleed spam STR/Cold Colossal build you'll see that it isn't too bad at all. Playing a "normal" build is what fricks people.
The game should be balanced around normal builds, and by normal builds I mean a decently powerful weapon and a focus on two or three stats, not a Elon Musk tier attrocity.
Balancing the game around OP shit like bleed or powerstanced colossal weapons is really fricking gay.
Maybe I'm just underleveled but holy shit the amount of "frick you" combos in this game is annoying. Particularly big elemental combos that are not only gap closers, but also huge AOE attacks and have weird sporadic animations.
Like holy shit its brutal, its how you feel when you play Tekken as a newbie and a high level player pokes you once and they're juggling you for the rest of the round.
>massive amounts of cool new weapons >can't actually try them out because they're nonviable unless you stop playing the game, go back to the roundtable and throw all of your smithing stones at them >do this and find out you still prefer your vanilla weapon and wasted the upgrade materials
what a dogshit system
>beat Chinese dog 3rd try full STR build >friend beat it 2nd try, full dex build >beat rennala twin b***h 1st try full strength >friend beat her 2nd try full dex
This is either discord troony false flagging or Ganker has became obnoxiously bad at video games within the last year.
>he purposefully gimps himself then complains its too hard and unfair
Autistic behaviour. Equivalent to slamming your wiener in a door and screaming "WTF WHY DOES THIS HURT"
Regardless if you had reading comprehension you'd understand by full strength/dex I was referring to my weapon and play style. Not my actual level. I'm level 110 which is considered under leveled for the DLC.
Shazam gays are in shambles since their "comeback" was the dlc being shit but its gotten a 95 on metacritic and has sold gangbusters so they need to sew new discourse.
You have to realise these homosexuals have wasted 6 fricking years of their life on this. They have to win or its suicide time
Souls games have been getting attacked and doom posted since dark souls 3 and bloodbourne. It's longer than 6 years. I remember a shazam copypasta before the release of bloodbourne saying it was only 15 hours long and had 6 weapons.
I watched 3 differnt streamers struggle for like 1 hour because for some reason they can't just learn the attack patterns and also refuse to adapt to strategies
Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
I used a medium shield & the grossmesser my entire first playthrough except for Maliketh (I needed summons lol) and Elden Beast, which is just a cinematic run & dodge boss really. Nothing worth blocking.
>Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
Shields have been useless since DS1 outside of the one-two enemies you can parry sometimes and only with certain animations because frick you, oh and you also need small shields to parry because fromshit is too lazy to have the medium shield parry animation sync to the frame data.
Just block the first part then and evade all the other which is baby tier
Again, fromsofttards seem allergic to shields

You got lucky with the way the camera oriented and the way she lunged.
Waterfoul isn't consistently dodgeable and anyone that tells you otherwise is lying to you
You can consistently block it, but not dodge it.

>copium
It's not copium
The first and third part of the attack depend entirely on your position and the camera's
If you can (mostly by luck) orient Malenia such that she overshots and flies past you to your back on those swings, you can dodge them. The thing is you can't do it consistently.
The second and fourth parts can be dodged easily.
Meaning the only way to avoid damage is to block, dodge, block, dodge.
And if anything tells you it's entirely dodgeable they are lying to you.

Okay, you know what, fair enough
If you're only worried about the camera and not the dodging, then you could get it done.
My question is how consistent can they do it.

Literally never able to do those blocks then dodge, input always feels so sluggish
>build
you cant just start the dlc at lvl1? do you have to "build" to play it? that just puts me off if thats the case, i havent played ER since beating it first week when it came out.
i gave up ER half way through but i'm watching people play it. i can't tell if their vigor is low or their armor is shit, but the bosses are doing either 25% in one simple sword swing or way more than 50% in one basic attack
i've never seen bosses hit this hard before and it's both hilarious and confusing, things just seem really overtuned.
I'm literally scadu level 6 on relanna right now and she chunks 80% of my hp at 50 vigor in like 2 hits. I miss Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne boss design im sick of these randomized long ass attack strings frick
You're absolutely lying. I have the same number and vigor and she didn't do any where near that. Are you fighting naked or wearing that ring that doubles your damage taken?
Either you have brain damage or you refused to actually perceive what you were playing. Elden ring was mostly frick you combos while you watched and then got one stab in. Repeat for 12 mins.
>watching someone do Rellana >hits phase 2 >Rellana's double slice just took 75% of his health
holy shit lel. >next attempt gets hit with some mega moon aoe insta kill
basado
>huge amount of content >most of it is repeatable and subpar >in order to get your character strong enough for late game insanity you have to grind subpar bosses and sprint out 90% of "MMO" mobs
There is nothing worthwhile in to this game if you've played Fromsoft's previous games.
Elden Ring will fall into obscurity through the passage of time.
im sorry how the frick am i supposed to know when its safe to attack relanna or whatever her name is? im using the homosexual dex GS too so my attacks are fast but it's literally never safe to attack her
You literally can't attack her unless she stops attacking and it's only enough for one jump attack or a quick r1, you rinse and repeat this for 4 minutes. good luck dodging everything if you're average skill level otherwise coop
>beat the undead knight in the southernmost area that unlocks after you beat the second "main" boss >prompt in a little area afterwards >"oh, this must be progress or unlock something, let's do it" >YOU DIED >go nowhere
I genuinely laughed my ass off, but I wonder if I was supposed to come here later after prompting from someone else
let's make this game more multiplayer focused >okay let's add summons even if you're offline, make invasions easy to defeat, and you can activate summoning even at the boss room, instead of the bonfire
okay but now the game is too easy >well okay now the bosses have to 1-2 shot you at any health, and they also do XBOX huge AoE with every single attack, because how else are they supposed to deal with multiple enemies - fix the ai? ha
okay but now single player is fricked, it's annoying to deal with these bosses that deal damage to literally the entire arena, especially with input reading, attack delays, and 30 hit combos >well people will get the idea and summon, and morons that want to beat their head against a wall can do that if they want
well people are summoning and now defeating bosses first try every time, it's not even challenging >well whatever, we need to ship this
But thats a good thing. The people who refuse to summon are intentionally trying to get the hardest experience possible. The game is balanced around summoning.
It's more of mountaintops and every boss is malenia tier
lmao just lmao. did they watch too many speedrunners play the game or just ignore how everyone thought the game after the foreskin brothers was just too much.
I'm having the most fun I've ever had experimenting with new weapons and ashes of war but also having the worst time killing the enemies to get those things.
That just means that neither the new wespons or skills are worth a shit since most of them are useless against bosses.
In a week everyone is going to be spamming the same weapon-skill combination for easy boss cheese until the hack devs take wind and nerf it to oblivion
rolling isnt even good anymore
you just have to be aggressive and trade attacks with the boss to stagger them. unless you're extremely good you just cant play in the same roll, punish, roll, punish style anymore
>we get not one but TWO sets that are superior to bull goat AND look better
Thank god. I'm pretty sure the Solitude set is going to be my go to for the rest of the run.
Remember when superbosses like Orphan of Kos were the best part of these games? Now they're still insanely hard but not nearly as fun, I think most people are afraid to point this out
Let me guess, dmcuck or fgcuck? Your games are shit dead and buried, peep the playercount LOL >muh competition muh ranked
From continues to prove PvE games can be difficult and a worthwhile challenge
I thought you guys were joking about the difficulty. I've been trying to help people do relanna and like 90% of players get fricking one shot, including me, on her in a single combo string. This is the first time I really felt like they threw Bloodborne bosses on cocaine into a DKS3 style game except they also have a ton of poise and health
Problem is she has nine different combo extenders, so it's never safe to attack her, and the poor bastards on NG+ always get one-shot when they're hit with the unreactable extender.
I really don't understand how people say this combat is good, outside of being fromdrones. It's slow, tedious, monotony and drags on and on and if you screw up once you are dead unless you over-level. This combat is dog shit and Sekiro is the only game where they got it right.
Eh I liked DKS3 and Bloodborne, they never felt unfair IMO. Elden Ring they started randomizing attack string combos and making things unpredictable so you can't reliably get openings or satisfying strings of r1 slashes you can only bonk the enemy once maybe and even then you probably will get hit by some quick jab into a 15 second attack string combo. I know there's exceptionally skilled players that can solo these things on day 1 but for an avg reaction player I really liked their older bosses more
this shit is literally exactly the same as the base game, just with bigger numbers
I've been saying the design of the bosses fundamentally does not match the rest of the game since launch
this is the end result of loud morons on the internet constantly saying that they want hard shit while also refusing to acknowledge anything as being hard
Not even Miyasaki like to play them anymore. I hope that someday he makes a game he likes to play instead of appealing to moron losers in search for their "accomplished feeling" fix.
I'm so close to just giving up on respecting the boss design and cheating them with summons
I feel like I must be missing something because I've always loved soling them before, and dark souls 3/sekiro had the best bosses yet. So how did they go from that to this
That's exactly how I feel. I've beaten everything from Demons through DS3 solo because the challenge was rewarding. The "hard" Elden Ring bosses are just tedious as frick, but I didn't want to cheese them with summons so I walked away.
Reminder people who are naturally talented and hungry for competition are also naturally good at games, it's not some own to call them out on playing hard games that """"""don't respect time""""", you are jealous of people's success
>Die to the Lion when he has like 2 hits left >Mimic gets the kill for me while I'm doing the dying animation >Don't get the souls, but still get the kill
I can leave with this trade
Haha
HAHAHAHAHA
it's not just the boss, the normal enemies too. Having spinning moves followed by a lunging attack followed by a thrust followed by a six combos swipe followed by an AOE followed by a grab followed by the hand of the mob you're fighting detaching itself from his body to fly through your screen and reach your computer's cables to pull them out of the socket after giving you the middle finger. Frick you miyazakek.
pretty funny how every single encounter with a basic enemy requires me to roll 5 times before I can get a hit in. oh, and they don't stagger from a heavy R2 to the face, so get ready to trade DPS!
Relanna is worse than Malenia bros, I've been trying to help people and because she can't get staggered and has giant arena wide aoes 99% of hosts get killed. How the frick did journos pass this????
Unironically you homosexuals are garbage at video games if you find this DLC hard. I just best the impaler and he's the only one who's given me a challenge. On average all other bosses have taken me 3 or 4 attempts. The state of this board
Just HOW much harder are the bosses on NG+, and do they increase in difficulty for each time you start over? I've been doing the DLC in NG++ and I've been getting my ass kicked.
Could I have some advice for the late-game? Last time I played the game, I used the classic straight sword quality build I did DS1/2/3 with, but around the Lyndell capital I started struggling with enemy HP pools and a lot of shielded/ high poise enemies. I switched to a bleed build which was hilariously powerful and everything died, but I'm worried it would make the game too easy. Do the HP and damage values of the enemies skyrocket even more past the Capital area?
>but I'm worried it would make the game too easy
Final boss is immune to bleed so your entire build will get shutdown >Do the HP and damage values of the enemies skyrocket even more past the Capital area?
Yes
>explore >find mushroom (x2), somber smithing stone (1) and broken rune (x1) >fight enemies >get rewarded with smithing stone (5) and rowas >fight boss >it's yet another boss where you fight the camera and there's visual diarrhea everywhere
i'm done
Lads, I'm thinking I might be too old for From games now.
I just want to go back to comfy DS1 exploration and fights. Maybe stumble across a black knight.
I want to go home...
Exploring the expansion has unironically given me that old DaS1 feeling. Not sure when it'll wear off, but I was having a blast being in danger all throughout that first area.
Honestly, it blows my mind how there are still people surprised about the dlc bosses being a double down on malenia levels of stupid after all the attention and traffic that boss generated. It was obvious from the start.
you guys really had trouble with the dancing lion?
i thought he was very doable, he is more flashy than dangerous, as long as you keep an eye on where the lightning strikes you shouldn't be hit
Haven't played this shit in so long I forgot how to travel between sites of grace. Was worried I was hard locked after getting the ending and was stuck in the roundtable area.
Frost phase is moronicly easy and you can jump over all the attacks, the lightning one is the problematic because there is lightning all over the arena and that spell make the damage do like 5% of your hp per lightning hit
Problem with the Dancing Lion is that he has moveset switches for four different elements since the boss fight is modeled after the chinese lion dance and, I suppose, references the japanese Four Season dance, which makes it switch to different movesets and elements.
The lightning stance is actually fairly easy to deal with, I found the frost and wind dance much more of a hassle since Divine Frost Stomp has a weird timing and the fricking tornado on the wind stance has insane range.
Other than that it's not too bad, the main combo is fairly tricky at first but once you get it down it's not a big deal, if you stay really close to the boss it's also much easier since it's actually designed to punish people who stay in the mid range, as most of its stuff is AoE.
>lightning stance is actually fairly easy to deal with
NTA but really? The placement of the lightning strikes seemed random outside of a few certain attacks. Almost half of my deaths were because I got clipped by lightning then killed by the lion.
>spend 10 minutes whackinghis foot with a big hammer > get him to 10 percent health >fastest grab move ever hes never used before >one shots me at 60 vigor
oh ok ty miyazaki
Whats the trick to dodging Rellana? Her sword thrusts and spells are easy enough, but when she spins like a top it doesnt seem safe to roll anywhere without getting clipped by her second or third swing.
i just beat her after trying solo for hours and then decided to summon the loathsome shit eater. a few things i learned is that her ultimate attack is a jump test. she is weak to lightning. she can technically be parried but its not worth it most of the time. her attack patterns are essentially random. she does have plenty of windows for attack in the first phase but in the second its basically just rng if you win imo. i just spammed lightning attacks while shit eater aggro'd her.
journos just summons which still completely negates the bosses. it's just the people who want to experience them as an actual fight who realise how shit they are
This game is balanced around summoning or using ashes for bosses, though. Only hardcore autists go for solo kills, 90% of the normalgay audience summoned, used ashes or both. Myself included, frick these bosses and frick this game, not a single fun boss in the entire game.
>This game is balanced around summoning or using ashes for bosses
no it's not. no boss in the game can handle 2 targets at once. it might be *intended* for you to use the spirit ashes, but it's not balanced around it because it breaks the bosses AI. that's the issue with ER, both ways of approaching the boss fights are unfun in some way
How many of these annoying ass bosses have ground slamming/stomp attacks with huge AOE range? That started getting REALLY old in the last few boss fights of the main game
I'm level 157 so far it is really easy even managed to hold onto 170k runes for a level up from just mobs. But honestly kinda not in the mood today it's still something I love playing. But yeah might just need a break for a bit.
Okay I admit it I fricking suck at this game I suck. My only chance is grinding and hoping somehow I luck out... what else do you want from me this shit is hard.
Just fricking summon people, beat the bosses and move on with your life, stop acting like you have something to prove. its a fricking video game and no one is checking your work
There is something seriously wrong with Fromgays. And you guys paid $40 for Limgrave but worse? Kek, I think I'll just stick with actually good games that don't vomit bullshit at you and rely on brain dead fans to justify it. Once again: Elden Ring's first half is some of the best shit they've ever done. Sucks that they went full moron from the Fire Giant onward. I had hoped they might have had some time to cool off before making this DLC, but it looks like they just doubled down. Remember when gays here were so insistent on the western Prepare to Die marketing for Dark Souls I being moronic? And that was true. But it looks like all those fans have either moved on or are suffering from severe brain rot. Just look at what we have now.
Is the DLC good enough that I should load up the game I haven't played in 2 years and go into it with my level 150 character remembering absolutely nothing about how to play or should I just not care since I haven't played in so long?
I'm supposed to get fricked by that gigapoise greatsword combo knight in the castle right? the games telling me to go explore and find those damage nullifiers right? right guys?
>Playing through the game solo with no intend to ever co-op or pvp >Still feel like I shouldn't level past 150
Should I just keep spending my runes? How useful is those extra levels in the DLC?
Let's be real people are kinda b***hes that are really hard on themselves when they fail at these games. They get all sad and upset but it's just a game bro. No big deal if you fail it. Plus you can always retry later? Like seriously some people are fricking dumb stop making this bigger than it actually is. Just take a break come back to it later no big deal 😉
I really wish I could argue in good faith with homosexuals shitting on the DLC but the arguments are so clearly transparently shitposting I just can't.
please tell me there is a way to get down here without killing a major boss I need somewhere else than the starting 3 places to find scadutree blessings
I've beaten Rellana and Beast and I haven't found a way.
I did see jumping platforms to head down where you've got your blue marker 1. So I think that you have to find a way there by going north then west, and then circle back down south and use the platforms.
she was staggerable which made the fight much more manageable. this shit has all of her agility and none of her weaknesses, the only thing its missing is waterfowl
>DLC hype gets me to actually pick the game back up after 2 years >"oh yeah, this game is actually kinda fun" >entirely burnt out and disappointed by the end of the game >Literally no interest in playing the DLC, nevermind paying 40 bucks for it >mfw there isn't a single new game i'm interested in for the rest of the year
Maybe when its 20 bucks and I'm literally dying from boredom, but nothing I'm reading in this thread makes it sound worth my time or money
>Pot dungeon >Takes forever to get to the boss >No shortcut no revive spot in front of boss
What kind of shit level design is that?
Frick that shit, I'm just gonna summon someone and bully the boss.
I never summoned in the base game (including Malenia yes) but here I did. I've beaten 6 bosses with summons so far and I don't feel bad in the slightest. This kind of fast combat is actually obscene and not fit for a traditional souls game. I could see these bosses being in Sekiro (I know saying this has become a bit of a meme in the community but it did for a very good reason), but NOT in a souls game. These bosses have become hard for the sake of being hard which is terrible. Before ER the difficulty felt organic but here it just feels hamfisted as a means of fanservice.
I also will not be buying the next souls-whatever game. If you like getting assraped no lube no rubber then please knock yourself out but I will not be giving Miyazaki another dime until he fixes the combat system.
I haven't played since the base game release so i might be misremembering but the jump/dodge button seems to have a bit extra delay?
Not even trying to shitpost here, it feels a bit off
Anybody feeling like that?
>I never summoned in the base game (including Malenia yes) but here I did.
congratulations on graduating to shitter anon, we are all very proud of you.
Yeah I considered it but if the next game is going to be like this one then I'm just not gonna bother. Maybe I'll finally start working on my math degree.
Haven't finished any of the main dungeons yet but just poppin in to say fp regen talisman + hp back on kill talisman from volcano manor + alexander talisman + walking forward and pressing L2 with +10 Mohg's trident and 80 arc is extremely comfy for dungeon crawling. Don't need to use flasks ever and don't need to deal with twitchy bullshit enemies because I just stand behind pillars and nuke everything in a giant sphere of death.
I'm having a very difficult time as a hybrid spellcaster (int/fth/arc). It's not so much that the bosses have insane moves or 2shot me (even if they do), but my spells just don't do enough damage. Even at 52/52, black flame only does 1.6k damage against bosses with 40-100k hp while costing fp and requiring a big opening.
It seems like the game has been balanced around weapon arts yet again. Still, the areas look fun, and the new spells are interesting, though they are hard to find. I've only found 2, both incantations, one that casts some golden arcs and one dragon spell that lets you summon a lich dragon head and breathe ghostflame.
>get tired of the mega bullshit >respec >equip max level greatshield with max damage negation and level endurance >poke boss a few times >he flies into the air and does a 1080 spin while shitting lava, pissing lightning daggers and vomiting poison razorblades and slamming the ground dropping nuclear bombs all over the arena while summoning Satan himself >i activate barricade shield and hold l1 until he's done with his temper tantrum >poke him a few times >he starts reeee'ing again >hold l1
now it's too fricking boring jesus christ
>poke boss a few times
you forgot the part where you press the attack button the boss does 1 frame animation cancel into a jump back across the arena while throwing daggers at you before you get a 2nd attack in.
I watched different streamers against the lion and not a single one dared to eat a boiled crab
Do every single shitter just bruteforced the way into the dlc?
Anything that I can't kill by rotten breathing from across the arena while my Deenah bird ash occupies the boss, I just use my Bloody Helice rapier to dodge and counter with the L2. I may need to change talismans from time to time to either buff my incants or use stamina regen talismans if I'm just going to go melee with the rapier
It's closed source garbage I can't justify playing this trash. I only play Free Software games like Cave Story. Am I the only one that sees how cancer proprietary software really is?
I struggled hard on Rellana then I remembered I'm playing NG+ a much more difficult version of the DLC than the rest of you are playing. enemies including bosses basically can't even be staggered with power stance jump R2s
you literally cant stagger her unless you just tank her and keep attacking. it's fricking garbage design. she has the attacks of a fast but staggarable boss like malenia but is a tank too. fricking abysmal boss design
You remember how Margitt was a filter that was supposed to teach you that you need to explore and level up before tackling main boss areas? The DLC pretty much forces you to use summons.
that's a phantom not a summon, I did however, use mimic tear. killed it in 2 tries, then it took me like 5 tries to kill it again whilst being summoned. multiplayer bosses are unironically harder
How the hell do you get down to this map, I've killed the putrid b***h up here and the new dancing divine lion reused here. I've hit all the spots over here
>only Radahn left >explored pretty much everything there is as far as the map goes
This might be the first time where Fromsoft DLC is actually weaker than the base game. That said: Elden Ring is easily the best base game they have made so far but this DLC really didn't hit my expectations.
The bosses aren't difficult - a weird mix up of basic shit like the Carian Knight or spastic annoying beast shit like the Lion and Hippo where the boss moves as moronic as possible in order to confuse you and thats basically the entire difficulty.
I wanted this to be basically more Elden Ring - new overwworld - some optional dungeons but this here feels rather disconnected and not in a good way.
I have beaten Elden Ring multiple times but i can't see myself ever touching this DLC again once i am fully done with it.
>only Radahn left
mega spoilers: an absolute travesty. perhaps the worst final boss from has ever done. are people looking at things with the same eyes as me? look at that goofy ass stance he takes and how stiff he is. the whole fight literally feels unfinished.
I don't care about the difficulty, but they tend to lower the difficulty of the bosses after the first month to filter less normies. Just like they did in AC6 Baltheus or ER Radhan.
No you can actually get there. You need the "Oh Mother" gesture, it opens a secret path at the "Storehouse" place. There's a marika statue in front of a wall at the bottom of the place with all the abominations and heart jar things. Do the gesture in front of it and it opens a path.

>sir people really hated DS2 for the whole "every corner is an ambush" thing what shall we do for the Elden Ring DLC >exactly this! >more invisible enemies! >more enemies that just spawn once you get there so you can't even snipe them from a safe distance! >make it all small corridors so can't rush through it without running into yet another ambush! >also >give every boss more than one phase! >give them all an arena wide AOE like in my favorite MMOs! >add lightning everywhere!
>every corner is an ambush
Sick of this, how many times are they going to reuse the same thing, having some weakass enemy come flying out of a room or break through some crates to get a cheap attack on you isn't interesting, especially when it's several times every dungeon
>>add lightning everywhere!
This is the most egregiously bad taste thing they've ever done, besides the wimpy ass attempts at Elizabethan/Jacobean era English all throughout this DLC. >Behold, a true drake warrior! And I, Igon! Your fears made flesh! >Solid of scale you might be, foul dragon... But I will riddle with holes your rotten hide!
I did the same shit with cold naginata no less. Bleed+Frost it was OP as shit. Nothing got me killed except some bullshit grab attack that hits half the stage like that Ice Cave Astel Stars of Darkness fight.
I didnt even die to Meleina once and I fought her blind. I was able to tell the grab attack is a grab not a spell so I rolled. Everything else got blocked.
>playing online while doing PvE content in no-invasions-ring
Your problem. I was tired of getting dropped from boss fights because my internet sucks donkey dick.
>find a perfume bottle weapon >weighs 1 pound >deals raw fire damage >pure dex scailing
Well frick I think i just found a permenant addition to my arsenal.
Hippo boss is probably the worst boss from has ever made. After I was done I justed couldnt believe someone approved that shit. Basically gaping dragon on steroids and worse camera.
Are you memeing? Because after Fatalis and Malenia, I swore to myself I would never waste time on hyper difficult bosses ever again. No, I'm not good at videogames, and I don't care anymore, if this expansion has mandatory bosses as hard as Malenia, I'm not buying, simple as.
those dragon talismans that give you physical defense, radagon soreseal (only early game then ditch it), hp talismans, stamina talismans, guard boosting talisman, etc. Stamina regen is specially good so the turtle talisman is good. The only weapon art you will use is barricade shield and only sometimes you dont need it most of the time and you kill with status effects.
I loved playing shield build in ER and Malenia was the only one that was a problem because of her heal on hit. Will I have a problem with the DLC bosses or do none of them have a gimmick like that?
If any of you guys are moronic enough to get filtered by anything in this game or DLC then you should just quit gaming, clearly not your hobby. I have never struggled once in Elden Ring after getting this shield. This DLC is easy as frick too lmao.
It's just fricking stupid you can't even Heal when you run out of flasks. Kingdom Hearts does it better where you can keep heeling if you just wait for a recharge
Messmer's armor set looks homosexual as frick, but I like his weapon and he also gets you a 60 FTH spell, that's higher than Elden Stars, which is shit btw, but I haven't used Messmer's Flame, but it sounds way stronger/better as a FTH nuke.
I agree they're a little overtuned, especially since some of them can basically two-shot you. But saying they're all Malenia tier is just outright lying.
Bayle is almost, ALMOST a good fight
Very good phase 1 and insane visuals but sadly the fricking aoe spam in phase 2, the gay cinematic attacks and how short phase 1 is just gives it the fromslop seal of poor quality
thats it, rage quit like the b***h failure you are
>just spend 15 hours grinding bosses with one chance to hit them every minute that two hit you
Is that not the appeal of this type of game?
No. The first time I played Dark Souls I beat the bosses in like 30 minutes maximum.
Only late game elden ring bullshit. No other game in the franchise has bullshit like this
How is that appealing?
Except for bragging rights maybe.
Aw shit Jerma is live again?
There's literally a mechanic exclusive to this DLC that allows you to hit the enemies harder and take less damage when you're hit, and if you're not utilizing it you don't get to complain.
you didn't beat the game
wait this is also considered a no-no for the community? what did I miss?
I want to see how many of those I can find and activate them all at once.
This DLC is fricking brutal but I'm enjoying it so far.
you will never beat the game
Does this shit even work? I've found several of each of the blessing fragments and applied them at the grace and noticed basically zero difference.
>skill issue and proud
Git Gud
>um actually if you use [extremely broken build] and summons it's easy chud
>>just spend 15 hours grinding bosses with one chance to hit them every minute that two hit you
That is the whole point of these fromslop games though?
>ESL slop
Every time with you troony jeets
He's right though, you shitposting waste of bandwidth.
>with one chance to hit them every minute that two hit you
Most ER bosses only take like 2 minutes sometime up to 4. The big exceptions are Fire Giant, Placidusax, and Elden Beast which are all around 6.
I've beaten every souls game, it's not exactly an accomplishment you can be proud of irl. My irl confidence is still low. Games don't matter.
Thats easy. Do SL1 runs
>insert that clip of the mario speedrunner having a crisis on stream questioning their life choices
looking to games for a sense of accomplishment is a fruitless endeavor, literally just do anything else.
because people never have or will go postal and lose their minds over "fulfilling" careers or relationships either surely, self-realization is a pipedream
Challenge runs arent satisfying if you just use them as a coping mechanism for failure IRL
That applies to games in general really
I got a level 1 character ready for the DLC after a normal playthrough.
It's gonna be fricking brutal.
Maybe you should try getting a job, getting fit, leaving the snacks and cokes alone for a while and going outside to meet other people than morons online.
leave the vidya for people with balanced lives.
k thx bai
I just beat everything first try with mimic tear, lol.
>heh if your not into CBT and slapping your balls with black dildo you just got FILTERED, git gud xD!! :)) :p :3c
You're the absolute WORST fanbase I've ever witnessed in my entire life. Even sonic fans shitting their diapers are not as cringe-worthy as you.
>discord troony bringing up interracial porn out of nowhere
Not surprised tbh
you are replying to falseflags that post in ER threads for hours trying to spin opinion on the community
You're the b***h paying $40 for dlc that reuses assets for like 50% of it.
fbpb
holy shit this board is infested with dogshit tourists
>malenia tier
you wish. You get ADHD animals with giant hitboxes
>beat malenia
>start dlc
>immediately get cornholed by blackgaol kBlack person
Yeah, I don't want to keep playing if it's all going to be like this
it just gets even worse from there
bro that's literally an npc... how are you losing? *crying laughing emoji*
EXQUISITE PAIN
>unreactable
for you shitty
moronic AI Black person
I beat him even without passive buffs, he hits very hard but his attacks is very easy to avoid.
He's a "Tree Sentinel" a very straightforward enemy who is just tanky and hits really hard. He's there as a wakeup for people who are expecting to faceroll everything with a high level character.
But I face rolled him with a high level character and Moonveil.
Same thing happened to me lol
I beat Malenia after about 10 or so tries. Get into the DLC, and Rellana bodies the frick out of me for 20 go's.
Malenia truly got just robbed this DLC.
>gets filtered by filler boss
Woah so this is the power of the morons saying the DLC is too hard...
you need to get scadushards so you take less damage. he isnt that hard, really. he just hits like a mack truck. took me maybe 10 attempts with 1 scadu level, but it was never frustrating because he has a relatively simple moveset with zero bullshit.
I beat that guy by just doing running R2s with a spear
literally free
wait until you face the death knight
>teleports back
>instantly teleports forward and grabs you for 90% of your hp
>machinegun lightning spears
>999 poise
>long combos
>frickton health
i'm rapidly losing my will to play this, it's not a fun exploration it's just a slog through more and more moronic enemies
From started out as harsh but fair, now they're that annoying kid who always has to win because his guy has special wizard armor and a sniper M16 with rocket bullets
You forgot his most important trait
>super easy to parry
Parried him to death so I never even saw his combos outside of the double swings.
Bro he gets staggered easily like a moron. I use two spears and bullied him. Just don't get greedy when he goes two handed because he gets some serious poise
>I use the most OP meta build and it was easy
Don't follow meta gays, I just like poking things. I use vykes spear
I just chainstunned him to death with the dragonking cragblade AOW
ggez
You can just charge R2 attacks if you have a long weapon and he will just endlessly walk into them. Be fricking for real.
Just use the broken shit and summons. ER bosses are slogs for the most part so cheese them.
Indian behavior
So is playing From games but here we are.
From games are pajeet repellent. The shazam discord is literally all seanigs and pajeets
post yfw
>CURSE YOU BAAAAAAAAYLE!
I enjoyed the lil homie on the jar ice cave
> balanced for seamless coop mod
Frick. Yes.
>new games come out
>bosses are more bullshit than the last
>fanboys eat up the bullshit, beg for more
>get what they asked for
Not seeing the problem here.
Back to discord shazam sisters.
What?
>promised a 30 hour dlc
>11 hours in and im at the final boss
wtf?
For the life of me I won't understand how people play these shit games that don't respect their time in the slightest. Bosses with unreactable patterns you need to memorize in 30 attempts, each with 2 minutes of loading, 10 minutes runback and 2 minutes of gay cutscenes. I'm so glad I got DS1 for free and didn't waste any more time on it than needed.
Boss difficult was fine until the last 4 or 5 bosses in ER, they are moronicly difficult.
>don't like first half bosses other than morgott
>only like 2-3 bosses in the second half
the dlc isn't for me.
Radagon and Godfrey were fine.
They did, AC6
This. You hit the nail on his head and that's making frompiggies mad.
Sar did the needful
Don't forget generic open world that's nothing but plains with some big building in the distance because Muh creativity.
Name 3 real action game franchises, if you include juggleslop at all you are disqualified
>if you include juggleslop at all you are disqualified
Worst part of DMC honestly
If you pay attention all the best parts of 3D action games are just balanced 1v1 fights, essentially 2D fighting games in 3D
Goddamn you contrarian shitposter have absolute dogshit taste.
Except you have to honestly try to make a suboptimal build. There is huge build variety that you'd have to be moronic to make a shit build.
>magic should actually be weak in a fantasy setting
>that super protective looking plate armor? make it weaker
>that don't respect their time in the slightest
What does this mean exactly, should the boss be weaker to accommodate your lack of skill?
I remember the game expecting to run back to the bus over the same ugly ramparts/towers/ladders, with about 10 useless skelly enemies respawning along the way every time which after two boss attempts I defeated via pure muscle memory. Literally no benefit other than the designer swinging his balls in your face to be like special and different from all the other video games that have non-moronic save points or quick retries. That shit literally had nothing to do with boss difficulty, pure time wasting.
There should be an optional setting in Souls games where each time you die to a boss the boss gets tired and easier until you eventually win. This would allow people to flex early kills, or grind it out.
stop playing bing bing wahoos and go to work if you want your time to be so appreciated.
fricking moron
DS1 isnt at all hard though. That was before every souls boss was a rollfest
DS1 was literally just sidestep - bacsktab for 90% of the gameplay
>10 minutes runback
woah there buddy, this is not DogShit2 Scholar of the First Shit
Nope. Try again
it's easy, I just use all the tools the devs gave me
This. Went back to DS2 and good god what a breath of fresh air compared to ER.
They made some questionable decisions for sure and there's the hint of future to come with the DLCs but its still not as pants on head moronic as this shit.
?si=KvFg6QygYl5Gp-ri
>Bosses with unreactable patterns you need to memorize in 30 attempts
Seems like more of a you problem.
unironically git gud
It only got moronic in elden ring, arguably bloodborne too but you had more offensive options in that game instead of waiting around for 60 seconds before being able to attack once.
>he isn't happy to be miyazaki's b***h
When will you accept they want you to use spirit ashes, the bosses are balanced around it
this is the pure unfiltered weapons grade cope and needs to be pointed at, shamefully.
>spirits are still the main reward of most dungeons
>addend a way for spirits to keep up with the DLC difficulty
>added consumables and amulets to improve spirits
>but you're not supposed to use them
>japanese dev forces you to let go of honor and abuse summons
so much for bushido
125 at ng+ this with endure became my crutch for 3 rememberance bosses
If you drop your ego and jump attack spam/bleed spam STR/Cold Colossal build you'll see that it isn't too bad at all. Playing a "normal" build is what fricks people.
Until the moron who has a fetish for getting kicked starts screeching that the game is too easy and everything gets nerfed again
The game should be balanced around normal builds, and by normal builds I mean a decently powerful weapon and a focus on two or three stats, not a Elon Musk tier attrocity.
Balancing the game around OP shit like bleed or powerstanced colossal weapons is really fricking gay.
the movesets are better than base game so far but why the FRICK do they all have so much HP? is it something to do with the fragments?
Maybe I'm just underleveled but holy shit the amount of "frick you" combos in this game is annoying. Particularly big elemental combos that are not only gap closers, but also huge AOE attacks and have weird sporadic animations.
Like holy shit its brutal, its how you feel when you play Tekken as a newbie and a high level player pokes you once and they're juggling you for the rest of the round.
>massive amounts of cool new weapons
>can't actually try them out because they're nonviable unless you stop playing the game, go back to the roundtable and throw all of your smithing stones at them
>do this and find out you still prefer your vanilla weapon and wasted the upgrade materials
what a dogshit system
Enemies drop smithing stones now so I mean, hey, they seem to be learning.
the highest smithing stone i've found so far has been +4 or something which is baffling considering i had to kill mohg to get here...
>beat Chinese dog 3rd try full STR build
>friend beat it 2nd try, full dex build
>beat rennala twin b***h 1st try full strength
>friend beat her 2nd try full dex
This is either discord troony false flagging or Ganker has became obnoxiously bad at video games within the last year.
Ganker has always been bad at games but it's also shazam discorders
>he needs to level up to beat the game and it still takes him multiple tries
ROFL this isn't the humble brag you think it is
>he purposefully gimps himself then complains its too hard and unfair
Autistic behaviour. Equivalent to slamming your wiener in a door and screaming "WTF WHY DOES THIS HURT"
Regardless if you had reading comprehension you'd understand by full strength/dex I was referring to my weapon and play style. Not my actual level. I'm level 110 which is considered under leveled for the DLC.
Guess I'm just too good :))
Shazam gays are in shambles since their "comeback" was the dlc being shit but its gotten a 95 on metacritic and has sold gangbusters so they need to sew new discourse.
You have to realise these homosexuals have wasted 6 fricking years of their life on this. They have to win or its suicide time
>6 years
this shit goes back further than Elden Ring?
Souls games have been getting attacked and doom posted since dark souls 3 and bloodbourne. It's longer than 6 years. I remember a shazam copypasta before the release of bloodbourne saying it was only 15 hours long and had 6 weapons.
I suppose Elden Ring thoroughly broke them
I watched 3 differnt streamers struggle for like 1 hour because for some reason they can't just learn the attack patterns and also refuse to adapt to strategies
Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
>Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
most bosses pierce them or stagger you, rolling is always preferable
>most bosses pierce them or stagger you
Damn my game must be glitched then cos they work as intended! Crazy!
shield against fast attacks, roll for heavy ones. Idk why people keep saying shields don't work. You can even block a lot of Malenia's shit with them
Same cope as dark souls 3 lol
You have barricade shield in elden ring, use it
I used a medium shield & the grossmesser my entire first playthrough except for Maliketh (I needed summons lol) and Elden Beast, which is just a cinematic run & dodge boss really. Nothing worth blocking.
>Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
Shields have been useless since DS1 outside of the one-two enemies you can parry sometimes and only with certain animations because frick you, oh and you also need small shields to parry because fromshit is too lazy to have the medium shield parry animation sync to the frame data.
>need small shields to parry
not in elden ring, just slap on carian retaliation and get small shield parry on like anything
Greatshields make Elden Ring immensely easier. They're not useless at all.
>Also eldenmorons seem to be allergic to shields
Because every souls game since the first has been doing its damnedest to train players not to use them by making them worse and worse.
a single normal shield with barricade shield ash of war can completely block malenia full waterfowl dance
and heal 1/4 of her health
The no-hit gays on youtube don't lock on and seem to run under her at certain points during the attack, I think to address the issue you're highlighting.
?si=mm4zsUBxrEVq4jf5
peak fromslop
Okay, you know what, fair enough
If you're only worried about the camera and not the dodging, then you could get it done.
My question is how consistent can they do it.
Literally never able to do those blocks then dodge, input always feels so sluggish
seeing alot of the posts in these threads made me realize Ganker is in fact dogshit at vidya.
>build
you cant just start the dlc at lvl1? do you have to "build" to play it? that just puts me off if thats the case, i havent played ER since beating it first week when it came out.
respond. now.
i gave up ER half way through but i'm watching people play it. i can't tell if their vigor is low or their armor is shit, but the bosses are doing either 25% in one simple sword swing or way more than 50% in one basic attack
i've never seen bosses hit this hard before and it's both hilarious and confusing, things just seem really overtuned.
There's a gay new progression system where you have to find blessings in the overworld to increase your damage reduction and damage output.
You forgot to mention they only boost in the DLC which is extremely fricking lame.
ah i see, ty. is the damage reduction super noticeable?
I'm literally scadu level 6 on relanna right now and she chunks 80% of my hp at 50 vigor in like 2 hits. I miss Dark Souls 3 and Bloodborne boss design im sick of these randomized long ass attack strings frick
You're absolutely lying. I have the same number and vigor and she didn't do any where near that. Are you fighting naked or wearing that ring that doubles your damage taken?
Can you post a clip then? I'm using medium armor, phys negating +2 talisman and scadu 6 and she's literally 3 shotting me and usually two shotting
They aren't using the DLC items which boost attack and defense.
I'm stuck at Death Knight. This guy is seriously unfun
Either you have brain damage or you refused to actually perceive what you were playing. Elden ring was mostly frick you combos while you watched and then got one stab in. Repeat for 12 mins.
>watching someone do Rellana
>hits phase 2
>Rellana's double slice just took 75% of his health
holy shit lel.
>next attempt gets hit with some mega moon aoe insta kill
basado
How much have they Zanizibart-maxxed the lore?
>huge amount of content
>most of it is repeatable and subpar
>in order to get your character strong enough for late game insanity you have to grind subpar bosses and sprint out 90% of "MMO" mobs
There is nothing worthwhile in to this game if you've played Fromsoft's previous games.
Elden Ring will fall into obscurity through the passage of time.
Oooh saaaaay can you jeeeeeet by the poos early liiiiiggght
im sorry how the frick am i supposed to know when its safe to attack relanna or whatever her name is? im using the homosexual dex GS too so my attacks are fast but it's literally never safe to attack her
You literally can't attack her unless she stops attacking and it's only enough for one jump attack or a quick r1, you rinse and repeat this for 4 minutes. good luck dodging everything if you're average skill level otherwise coop
>beat the undead knight in the southernmost area that unlocks after you beat the second "main" boss
>prompt in a little area afterwards
>"oh, this must be progress or unlock something, let's do it"
>YOU DIED
>go nowhere
I genuinely laughed my ass off, but I wonder if I was supposed to come here later after prompting from someone else
What did the prompt say?
Imbibe Nectar, from an otherwise unresponsive NPC listed on the map as "St. Trina"
most OP dlc weapons??
The velvet sword.
For 14 INT you can insta-kill enemies.
>inst akill
4 real?=
It's like deathblight. The stats are so low you can literally use this at level 1.
cheers m8
>Fromsoft gameplay
roll-roll-roll-roll-tap boss once-get hit for 80% of lifebar-roll-roll-roll-roll-drink flask-roll-roll-roll-roll-tap boss once
I finished ER without much issues but Im certainly not going back for extra bullshit bosses and more empty open world areas
If only the combat for your character was good and not slow dogshit they insist it be for no reason other than fromsoft is too lazy to change.
let's make this game more multiplayer focused
>okay let's add summons even if you're offline, make invasions easy to defeat, and you can activate summoning even at the boss room, instead of the bonfire
okay but now the game is too easy
>well okay now the bosses have to 1-2 shot you at any health, and they also do XBOX huge AoE with every single attack, because how else are they supposed to deal with multiple enemies - fix the ai? ha
okay but now single player is fricked, it's annoying to deal with these bosses that deal damage to literally the entire arena, especially with input reading, attack delays, and 30 hit combos
>well people will get the idea and summon, and morons that want to beat their head against a wall can do that if they want
well people are summoning and now defeating bosses first try every time, it's not even challenging
>well whatever, we need to ship this
But thats a good thing. The people who refuse to summon are intentionally trying to get the hardest experience possible. The game is balanced around summoning.
is it true its a flop? torrent is out but i dont wanna bother reinstalling if its just tedious slop like most of the latter half of ER base game
It's more of mountaintops and every boss is malenia tier
They doubled down on garbage boss design from base game.
lmao just lmao. did they watch too many speedrunners play the game or just ignore how everyone thought the game after the foreskin brothers was just too much.
>Articulates the issues with Rollslop six (6) years ago, four (4) years before Ganker understood with Elden Ring.
>Ganker hated him.

>I don't read it
why are you so bad at vidya just uninstall you will never win loser
*taps the sign*
Are you shitters for real? The DLC isn't even that hard.
God I wish hiromoot would just jumpscare the board right now and bring back IP count. The amount of discord samegayging is so obvious.
mobs and bosses are so fricking overtuned
they also nerfed EVERY SINGLE FRICKING WEAPON in the patch
jesus christ
rolling isnt even good anymore
you just have to be aggressive and trade attacks with the boss to stagger them. unless you're extremely good you just cant play in the same roll, punish, roll, punish style anymore
>new hairstyles
>they're all gross Black person hair
I don't know what I was expecting
This happens every time. If a Japanese game ever includes a free hairstyle update, it's black hairstyles.
is ther a preview?
name of the ge?
Once I realized that he was just an infinite poise hyper armor nig I just spammed jump attacks and won easily
>we get not one but TWO sets that are superior to bull goat AND look better
Thank god. I'm pretty sure the Solitude set is going to be my go to for the rest of the run.
Remember when superbosses like Orphan of Kos were the best part of these games? Now they're still insanely hard but not nearly as fun, I think most people are afraid to point this out
They peaked at Sword Saint Isshin, they haven't made such a fun boss since
Because they were made to be special, even if frustrating. When everyone is special, then no one is.
says a lot about fromBlack folk when their idea of real gameplay is spamming jump attack
Let me guess, dmcuck or fgcuck? Your games are shit dead and buried, peep the playercount LOL
>muh competition muh ranked
From continues to prove PvE games can be difficult and a worthwhile challenge
I thought you guys were joking about the difficulty. I've been trying to help people do relanna and like 90% of players get fricking one shot, including me, on her in a single combo string. This is the first time I really felt like they threw Bloodborne bosses on cocaine into a DKS3 style game except they also have a ton of poise and health
Problem is she has nine different combo extenders, so it's never safe to attack her, and the poor bastards on NG+ always get one-shot when they're hit with the unreactable extender.
The problem is definitely the poise. All the humanoid enemies are extremely cancerous to fight and the only solution I had was to parry them to death.
I know there's exceptionally skilled players that can solo these things on day 1 but for an avg reaction player I really liked their older bosses more
over-levelling doesn't help with the DLC, my character has fully maxed out stats and I'm still getting two-tapped
Over-leveling does absolutely nothing and going in at NG+ actually makes it magnitudes harder.
>unless you over-level.
you still get annihilated in the DLC now
enemies regularly can two or three hit kill you at 60 vig
Can you just party her?
this shit is literally exactly the same as the base game, just with bigger numbers
I've been saying the design of the bosses fundamentally does not match the rest of the game since launch
this is the end result of loud morons on the internet constantly saying that they want hard shit while also refusing to acknowledge anything as being hard
>Didn't add new achievements
Boring, I like being given a reason to collect everything
mgs is so bad to use in the dlc. its too slow
How bad is that fire giant thing walking around and it is even a boss?
not a boss and it's easy to kill, but tedious
just stick to its leg, learn which of the two attacks you have to jump, and try to break its stance
so it's just like arrow golems but it doesn't even drop good things like them?
Not even Miyasaki like to play them anymore. I hope that someday he makes a game he likes to play instead of appealing to moron losers in search for their "accomplished feeling" fix.
>2021
Just cheese them back. Especially this teleporting homosexual.
Beat the shit out of him with the two-handed Katana, It's reach is insane
I'm so close to just giving up on respecting the boss design and cheating them with summons
I feel like I must be missing something because I've always loved soling them before, and dark souls 3/sekiro had the best bosses yet. So how did they go from that to this
That's exactly how I feel. I've beaten everything from Demons through DS3 solo because the challenge was rewarding. The "hard" Elden Ring bosses are just tedious as frick, but I didn't want to cheese them with summons so I walked away.
Same. I started cheesing the last few. Not spending 30 hours to finally beat all of them after thousands of tries, likely because RNG glitched out.
Reminder people who are naturally talented and hungry for competition are also naturally good at games, it's not some own to call them out on playing hard games that """"""don't respect time""""", you are jealous of people's success
Haven't played this since I beat it around launch. What build should I go for?
>mfw dancing lion first try
>Die to the Lion when he has like 2 hits left
>Mimic gets the kill for me while I'm doing the dying animation
>Don't get the souls, but still get the kill
I can leave with this trade
his souls get added in death pile
Ah, ok.
>boss
Haha
HAHAHAHAHA
it's not just the boss, the normal enemies too.
People cried at the base game too remember.
Messmer is actually fricking impossible
git gud
Dex or Str?
I'm gonna say dex.
There's lots of DLC weapons with low stat requirements so make of that what you will.
STR has tons of good shit though.
I see. Are katanas still bullshit?
Just use STR weapons and stunlock everything with mimicbro
I think this is one of my favorites, like forever. It's is just perfect.
I dunno how people can still pretend str is more challenging when you can cheese everything with Star fists heavies stance breaks
FRICK YOU MIYAZAKI SUCK MY DICK
>blasphemous blade
you didn't beat the game
Mimic tear also 🙂
he didn't just beat the game, he beat the game for you too
>Oh btw Rennala had a twin sister called Rellana who's never mentioned in the base game
>thinking FromSoft puts any effort in the lore
> Fails to finish the job
Not like this Zanzibart....
Worst offender its miquella simping radahn
LA HERMANA DE RENNALA
Every weapon got nerfed btw
Nice artificial difficulty
Could I have some advice for the late-game? Last time I played the game, I used the classic straight sword quality build I did DS1/2/3 with, but around the Lyndell capital I started struggling with enemy HP pools and a lot of shielded/ high poise enemies. I switched to a bleed build which was hilariously powerful and everything died, but I'm worried it would make the game too easy. Do the HP and damage values of the enemies skyrocket even more past the Capital area?
>but I'm worried it would make the game too easy
Final boss is immune to bleed so your entire build will get shutdown
>Do the HP and damage values of the enemies skyrocket even more past the Capital area?
Yes
Damn. Right now I'm feeling lost because the exact same build I used in DS1/2/3 is getting stat-walled in ER.
just switch from bleed to frost and get some good source of fire damage
>explore
>find mushroom (x2), somber smithing stone (1) and broken rune (x1)
>fight enemies
>get rewarded with smithing stone (5) and rowas
>fight boss
>it's yet another boss where you fight the camera and there's visual diarrhea everywhere
i'm done
Lads, I'm thinking I might be too old for From games now.
I just want to go back to comfy DS1 exploration and fights. Maybe stumble across a black knight.
I want to go home...
Exploring the expansion has unironically given me that old DaS1 feeling. Not sure when it'll wear off, but I was having a blast being in danger all throughout that first area.
so when do you guys break and start leveling your scadu level? it was dancing lion for me.
It might be my controller or system but I have noticed sometimes that my attack inputs don't register
Anyone knows how to get up here?
>every boss is malenia-tier moronation
I haven't played it yet but I severely doubt that
Right, these bosses are actually worse
Again I doubt that
Honestly, it blows my mind how there are still people surprised about the dlc bosses being a double down on malenia levels of stupid after all the attention and traffic that boss generated. It was obvious from the start.
you guys really had trouble with the dancing lion?
i thought he was very doable, he is more flashy than dangerous, as long as you keep an eye on where the lightning strikes you shouldn't be hit
I face-tanked it with the bullgoat set and ended up being quite easy
Go back to fortnite
Haven't played this shit in so long I forgot how to travel between sites of grace. Was worried I was hard locked after getting the ending and was stuck in the roundtable area.
what fragment level were you guys on for rellana? im on level 4 and my attacks are barely damaging her
I'm probably and idiot here but, what do the Blessings do in the DLC? I keep eating them, but the descriptions isn't exactly clear.
They increase your stats but only for the DLC, compare the yellow number inside and outside the DLC to see the difference.
Ah I see it now. Greatly appreciated anon.
If only there was a spell or some talisman to reduce the lightning damage against the dancing lion...
>buffs
you didn't beat the game
*Switches to frost phase*
Frost phase is moronicly easy and you can jump over all the attacks, the lightning one is the problematic because there is lightning all over the arena and that spell make the damage do like 5% of your hp per lightning hit
The problem is how randomly he's doing such damage.
Is no one going to talk about the coolest boss released, the demi-human sword autist?
Another Sekiro enemy you don't have any gun fighting because you're stuck with a shitty Dark Souls character
>go through that entire fricking dungeon
>fricking shitty helmet and spirit ash is all you get
what a let down
demi-humans get the rope
nothing personnel kiddo
good job
Is there any trick or gimmick to fighting the Wickermen or you just have to upgrade your character to hell and back?
I got 4 damage/defense upgrades thus far but i still seem to deal a pitiful amount of damage
Just slash at their feet for 15 minutes
get on your horse and learn to jump good, after three "breaks" they'll fall down and you can hit the face
>spend 10 minutes whackinghis foot with a big hammer
> get him to 10 percent health
>fastest grab move ever hes never used before
>one shots me at 60 vigor
oh ok ty miyazaki
Is 120 still THE level ?
Whats the trick to dodging Rellana? Her sword thrusts and spells are easy enough, but when she spins like a top it doesnt seem safe to roll anywhere without getting clipped by her second or third swing.
Gank her with mimic tear
i just beat her after trying solo for hours and then decided to summon the loathsome shit eater. a few things i learned is that her ultimate attack is a jump test. she is weak to lightning. she can technically be parried but its not worth it most of the time. her attack patterns are essentially random. she does have plenty of windows for attack in the first phase but in the second its basically just rng if you win imo. i just spammed lightning attacks while shit eater aggro'd her.
boss is malenia-tier moronation
if that were true even the major outlets would be calling this too hard
Gaming journos were using mimic tear
journos just summons which still completely negates the bosses. it's just the people who want to experience them as an actual fight who realise how shit they are
This game is balanced around summoning or using ashes for bosses, though. Only hardcore autists go for solo kills, 90% of the normalgay audience summoned, used ashes or both. Myself included, frick these bosses and frick this game, not a single fun boss in the entire game.
>This game is balanced around summoning or using ashes for bosses
no it's not. no boss in the game can handle 2 targets at once. it might be *intended* for you to use the spirit ashes, but it's not balanced around it because it breaks the bosses AI. that's the issue with ER, both ways of approaching the boss fights are unfun in some way
Something cannot be intended yet no balanced around. The people whining about the difficulty of this game are morons who self impose handicaps.
the games have always been balanced around soul level 1 no equipment, items or summon playthroughs. everything else is unbalanced cheese
no journo is going to take the risk on shitting on From
How many of these annoying ass bosses have ground slamming/stomp attacks with huge AOE range? That started getting REALLY old in the last few boss fights of the main game
I killed Renalla first try with 2 blessing but died 200 times to the Moon-something guy with the cool big sword.
I forgot how annoyed the player damage sounds made me in this game
>AAHHHH
>OWWWWWWW
I'm level 157 so far it is really easy even managed to hold onto 170k runes for a level up from just mobs. But honestly kinda not in the mood today it's still something I love playing. But yeah might just need a break for a bit.
They dont self heal like memenia except one copypasting the dark knight lifesteal grab attack
Okay I admit it I fricking suck at this game I suck. My only chance is grinding and hoping somehow I luck out... what else do you want from me this shit is hard.
Just fricking summon people, beat the bosses and move on with your life, stop acting like you have something to prove. its a fricking video game and no one is checking your work
I know man I know... frickin nerves from all the cocaine
>I think I'll just stick with actually good games
like what
I'm honestly too bored to finish it. Beat two main bosses so far and akready feel sick of the game. Not to mention the shit performance.
Is the DLC good enough that I should load up the game I haven't played in 2 years and go into it with my level 150 character remembering absolutely nothing about how to play or should I just not care since I haven't played in so long?
I'm doing exactly that, don't sweat it. It'll come back to you quickly. Get ready to seethe, though.
Milady! seems fun.
I'm fricking everything in the ass with my NIHIL NIHIL NIHIL and mimic tear, don't know what you're finding so difficult?
Why is the framerate so bad? My PC is barely being utilized.
I have the exact same problem for months, and still can't find an answer after trying literally everything
It broke in the last few updates. I was getting locked 60 and now in the same area it's mid 40s
>500k souls
>Worried about losing them
>But also have nothing to spend then on
Hmmm
Upgrade materials , crafting mats , arrows , crab
Buy shit, sell it back when you need souls.
Just lose it man. It's just runes. There are a million ways to make more runes man.
>Give me 1000 runes
>went into DLC with arcane build
>find great katana
>don't think much about the name
>equip it
>see how big it is
I am unbelievably hard right now
I'm supposed to get fricked by that gigapoise greatsword combo knight in the castle right? the games telling me to go explore and find those damage nullifiers right? right guys?
sorry frogfriend, but we arbitrarilly decided that you didn't beat the game if you use the scat tree fragments
I got some bad news for you frogfren
Ganker really is full of whinging c**ts
wtf is up with the centipede boss, its laggy and it flies and rolls everywhere.
My god. The quantity of shitters there's on this thread is outstanding.
>Souls games are known for making the dlc the hardest part of the game
>OP acts surprised by common knowledge
You should have played more in prep.
>7 years of development plus a dlc later and this is still the strongest weapon in the game
what loving an anime too much does to your game balance
I gurantee almost all of the homosexuals cosplaying with this thing have never even read berserk they just heard it as the edgy anime off TikTok
>reusing DLC bosses, in the fricking DLC
god damn
>Playing through the game solo with no intend to ever co-op or pvp
>Still feel like I shouldn't level past 150
Should I just keep spending my runes? How useful is those extra levels in the DLC?
The extra levels aren't very useful the dlc has its own leveling system.
Stay at the level you want to be at for coop/pvp brackets
Let's be real people are kinda b***hes that are really hard on themselves when they fail at these games. They get all sad and upset but it's just a game bro. No big deal if you fail it. Plus you can always retry later? Like seriously some people are fricking dumb stop making this bigger than it actually is. Just take a break come back to it later no big deal 😉
It's the same thing with anything. There's something you can't overcome but it's so close so you want to keep trying.
>realize that game is shit
>oh no it must just be that i'm mentally ill, it can't be that the game is shit
wtf?
>People refusing to play an RPG like an RPG
Modern fromgays are such fricking brainlets that refuse to engage with anything that requires reading.
Its rollslop time!
rip me
>b-but what about muh achievements
Holy shit dude calm down. Plus you can just hack those in if needed in the worst case
Wait, ate people genuinely having problems with the DLC? It's been pretty chill if you actually explore and find the buff items.
I'm probably the only person on Ganker right now who isn't excited for the DLC
Awwww cry me a river!
I swear my mimic tear could solo 2 bosses at once, why the frick is it so strong. he has infinite health but I get 2 shot at 66 vigor.
I really wish I could argue in good faith with homosexuals shitting on the DLC but the arguments are so clearly transparently shitposting I just can't.
Honestly that's a healthy step forward. Not even in a disrespectful way even tho I am a shitposter. It's just healthy man.
please tell me there is a way to get down here without killing a major boss I need somewhere else than the starting 3 places to find scadutree blessings
there is. it's the path left to the lava cave entrance
>Two-headed Turtle Talisman
Eating good this morning lads
Head South and down slopes from where your cursor is
I've beaten Rellana and Beast and I haven't found a way.
I did see jumping platforms to head down where you've got your blue marker 1. So I think that you have to find a way there by going north then west, and then circle back down south and use the platforms.
relena is literally harder than malenia. what the frick did from mean by this
Does she have two full health bars and heals even if you block her attacks? No? Then she isn't
she was staggerable which made the fight much more manageable. this shit has all of her agility and none of her weaknesses, the only thing its missing is waterfowl
You just ignored everything I said
Scadutree more like SKIBIDITREE
Name ONE(1) reason I should play this instead of Kingdom Hearts Kino By Sleep the baby version of souls.
>DLC hype gets me to actually pick the game back up after 2 years
>"oh yeah, this game is actually kinda fun"
>entirely burnt out and disappointed by the end of the game
>Literally no interest in playing the DLC, nevermind paying 40 bucks for it
>mfw there isn't a single new game i'm interested in for the rest of the year
Maybe when its 20 bucks and I'm literally dying from boredom, but nothing I'm reading in this thread makes it sound worth my time or money
>Pot dungeon
>Takes forever to get to the boss
>No shortcut no revive spot in front of boss
Just torrent the game, why buy?
Yeah I considered it but if the next game is going to be like this one then I'm just not gonna bother. Maybe I'll finally start working on my math degree.
>maxed out cold cragblade
Absolutely makes dancing lion a laughing stock
Also take a shield, all of his wind counts as physical damage
Haven't finished any of the main dungeons yet but just poppin in to say fp regen talisman + hp back on kill talisman from volcano manor + alexander talisman + walking forward and pressing L2 with +10 Mohg's trident and 80 arc is extremely comfy for dungeon crawling. Don't need to use flasks ever and don't need to deal with twitchy bullshit enemies because I just stand behind pillars and nuke everything in a giant sphere of death.
Behold, absolutely did not beat the game in any shape or form.
KINGDOM HEARTS FILL ME WITH THE POWER OF EASY MODE
Kingdom Hearts is a much more skillful game than any FROM game.
And it has enough sense to give you easy mode in case you are just stressed or maybe old and tired.
These ER shitpost threads are boring. Someone make a Kingdom Hearts thread
>getting filtered by blackgaol
Well. I haven't played since release but still.
How are the perfumer weapons?
>Get home from a 12hr shift
>Exhausted, play for 20 minutes which is basically a CBT session
>Turn game off
I think I'm getting too old for this shit
Play this instead m8. I started playing it today and it's great fun. Decently priced on PSN or wherever.
Don't care. They made pvp fun again.
>get tired of the mega bullshit
>respec
>equip max level greatshield with max damage negation and level endurance
>poke boss a few times
>he flies into the air and does a 1080 spin while shitting lava, pissing lightning daggers and vomiting poison razorblades and slamming the ground dropping nuclear bombs all over the arena while summoning Satan himself
>i activate barricade shield and hold l1 until he's done with his temper tantrum
>poke him a few times
>he starts reeee'ing again
>hold l1
now it's too fricking boring jesus christ
>poke boss a few times
you forgot the part where you press the attack button the boss does 1 frame animation cancel into a jump back across the arena while throwing daggers at you before you get a 2nd attack in.
And then reads your flask input and proceeds to gap close and stagger you xd
>use spear
>shield blocks everything and you get a free hit in
It's that easy.
Literally me when I realised a shield blocks most of dancing homosexuals damage
the most underrated weapon in the game
>flame art infuse a bandits curved sword
>its stronger, especially if running flaming strike
whats the point
Give it to me straight - did they add new death sorceries?
replaying this game really makes me hate that they spread smithing stones, sacred tear, and golden sea across the god damn map.
I watched different streamers against the lion and not a single one dared to eat a boiled crab
Do every single shitter just bruteforced the way into the dlc?
You didn't beat the game
I BEAT the DLC
I know right. Like just get creative. Use the different shit you have available! Including counterattacks!
You're under the impression that people actually did Bogart's questline.
Almost everyone just kills Bogart the minute they see him
I did bogarts quest and he's chilling making crabs and I have now 700 🙂
Aslo I immediately murdered the shit eater so crab boy is safe 🙂
>Aslo I immediately murdered the shit eater so crab boy is safe 🙂
lmao same bro
How are you still getting fooled by streamers who's job it is to milk content rather than play smart?
Why play at all when they can just use Mimic Tear?
So no creamapi for the dlc?
Good, I want shitters and redditors like you to be filtered
We should have gatekept this fanbase harder, leave now
people really have started to go into "if they disagree with me, they're shitposting" mode.
Can i complete DLC beside defeating Miquella? And there be new ending?
Hope that Sacred Bloody Flesh is craftable. Incredibly strong for an Arcane build.
What is the new ultra hard superboss?
It's closed source garbage I can't justify playing this trash. I only play Free Software games like Cave Story. Am I the only one that sees how cancer proprietary software really is?
I can't tell who's trolling who anymore
I struggled hard on Rellana then I remembered I'm playing NG+ a much more difficult version of the DLC than the rest of you are playing. enemies including bosses basically can't even be staggered with power stance jump R2s
I don't think NG+ does anything to the enemies in the DLC. The bosses are basically unstaggerable for whatever reason
all enemies get a pretty major health increase and damage increase it's like 30 or 40%
you literally cant stagger her unless you just tank her and keep attacking. it's fricking garbage design. she has the attacks of a fast but staggarable boss like malenia but is a tank too. fricking abysmal boss design
Skill issue, I used throwing daggers and got staggers just fine. Maybe git gud?
>Welcome back.
Can someone help me?
I need to know which of these are the dlc files so I can copy them into my steam copy of elden ring.
>DLC.dbt
>DLC.dhd
Black person you dumb.
there's more than just those two Im pretty sure.
Well she doesn't frick around
You remember how Margitt was a filter that was supposed to teach you that you need to explore and level up before tackling main boss areas? The DLC pretty much forces you to use summons.
I'm actually shocked that users on a board dedicated to videogames are this bad at videogames
godamn what a load of bullshit lmao
>using summons
you didn't beat it
that's a phantom not a summon, I did however, use mimic tear. killed it in 2 tries, then it took me like 5 tries to kill it again whilst being summoned. multiplayer bosses are unironically harder
>5 hours in
>already at Messmer
>mfw
uuuuuhh bros?? Where is the 30 hour campaign I was promised????
Explore more moron
Ranni gays need to know where they belong
b***h looks like she's missing Hanmen's NEXT-GEN Textures.
Rellana is bullshit lmao, I can break her stance but she just flurries all the time.
How viable is ER+DLC with no shield, no parry and not magic build?
I'd stake me other hand Miquella's gone forever.
Frick these homosexuals
I started with a hero class, what are some fun builds for it?
How the hell do you get down to this map, I've killed the putrid b***h up here and the new dancing divine lion reused here. I've hit all the spots over here
>Those torch giants with the armor legs
How? They don't seriously expect you to whittle his health down with ranged attacks to the face right?
use heavy attacks, when you stagger 3 times he'll drop down and you can do a huge chunk of hp with a critical
I'm not talking about the one at the start there's a different one that can't be staggered like that
I have 40 vig and soreseal and I can take 3 or 4 hits idk what everyone else's problem is
>only Radahn left
>explored pretty much everything there is as far as the map goes
I totally disagree, I think all the new bosses are great. My biggest complaint is that there's no refight mechanic like there is in Sekiro.
18 hours in and i just reached Radahn as well and i haven't even explored half of the map. Is that really all there is?
18 hours to get through half a DLC? what did you expect? a 100 hours?
I'm at the final boss so i'm assuming that rest of the map is just recycled shit
STOP DEAD ANGLING ME AAAAAA
MULTI SHADOW SHURIKEN JUTSU
THE LOTUS BLOOMS TWICE
bro how the frick do you get the ! icons on your item
i saw the tooltip about how it was added but it doesnt seem to be there at all for me
It's a setting that is turned off by default
wtf lol
so i need to go into the actually settings, i figured it would be maybe like a toggle button or something
that's really dumb
thanks homie
I'm glad I'm audio cue pilled and therefore immune to camera frickery
So they are gonna patch the difficulty huh
Just use summons
I don't care about the difficulty, but they tend to lower the difficulty of the bosses after the first month to filter less normies. Just like they did in AC6 Baltheus or ER Radhan.
Radahn was legitimately broken, though. I preferred him that way, but don't forget that From never intended him to be like that.
>mohg got cucked
did not expect this
>Rellana
this is the dlc
No you can actually get there. You need the "Oh Mother" gesture, it opens a secret path at the "Storehouse" place. There's a marika statue in front of a wall at the bottom of the place with all the abominations and heart jar things. Do the gesture in front of it and it opens a path.
Wait it's at the "Shadowkeep back gate" site of grace, wrong place.
So they are all piss easy but have only one move that is actually bullshit?
I do not like Bayle
It is the first thing I have had problems with
they doubled down on everything that made the base game unfun, sasuga mitsubishi-san
>sir people really hated DS2 for the whole "every corner is an ambush" thing what shall we do for the Elden Ring DLC
>exactly this!
>more invisible enemies!
>more enemies that just spawn once you get there so you can't even snipe them from a safe distance!
>make it all small corridors so can't rush through it without running into yet another ambush!
>also
>give every boss more than one phase!
>give them all an arena wide AOE like in my favorite MMOs!
>add lightning everywhere!
>every corner is an ambush
Sick of this, how many times are they going to reuse the same thing, having some weakass enemy come flying out of a room or break through some crates to get a cheap attack on you isn't interesting, especially when it's several times every dungeon
>>add lightning everywhere!
This is the most egregiously bad taste thing they've ever done, besides the wimpy ass attempts at Elizabethan/Jacobean era English all throughout this DLC.
>Behold, a true drake warrior! And I, Igon! Your fears made flesh!
>Solid of scale you might be, foul dragon... But I will riddle with holes your rotten hide!
no bro, what are you complaining about? this is exactly what everyone wanted: ds2 on demon crack.
Jesus I'm getting my ass beat by anything that isn't a peasant. Guess I need to wander around until I can find an area I CAN go through.
>find a large enemy
>cant stagger it
>does a non stop 10 sec combo
>hit it once
>repeat
holy shit I hate this
>can't stagger it
Skill issue.
I beat the lion puppet and theres a door full of dark roots after it
how do I remove them???
How did you remove the roots covering the entrance to Radagon?
Fire.
Who has a lot of fire in the DLC? Messmer
Go find Messmer.
Great shield and hold L1
bring +10 tiche, who is stronger with the new ash items.
frick this game
Oneshot him with Azure Comet . Don't even know what he does, He is just dead.
>equip greatshield
>equip spear
>hold block+r1
Fromsoft can spam all the Malenia reskins they want, I'm ready for them.
Everything else got blocked.
commander gaius fricking sucks how the frick do i beat him
>Devs pander to the hardcore audience
>Game is now significantly worse
Any other games that do this besides Ultrakill?
>secret path ahead messages everywhere
I hate this
if rating messages down took away flasks redditors might stop leaving LE EPIC messages in front of every wall
>find one that has 3k likes
this community is insufferable
these are the people acting like this DLC is "peak FROMSOFT"
>playing online while doing PvE content in no-invasions-ring
Your problem. I was tired of getting dropped from boss fights because my internet sucks donkey dick.
I am getting filtered by bayle the dread
worst camera boss in FROM history honestly
>find a perfume bottle weapon
>weighs 1 pound
>deals raw fire damage
>pure dex scailing
Well frick I think i just found a permenant addition to my arsenal.
I'm currently at the Hippo boss, died one hit away because my fricking run button didn't work for the stagger execute.
>Game looks beautiful
>Gameplay is not fun, everything has a one shot gimmick, every attack combo 2 shots you
Hippo boss is probably the worst boss from has ever made.
Any good new items for a Shield Turtle Spear Poke build?
A crappy deflect tear buff killing flame giant 2.0
literally anything lol. Stack defensive shit.
those dragon talismans that give you physical defense, radagon soreseal (only early game then ditch it), hp talismans, stamina talismans, guard boosting talisman, etc. Stamina regen is specially good so the turtle talisman is good. The only weapon art you will use is barricade shield and only sometimes you dont need it most of the time and you kill with status effects.
Thanks, but I mean in the DLC as I already know about the non DLC items.
You Black folk found any peak str weapons? I'm still running the gay giant hammer halfway through the dlc
I loved playing shield build in ER and Malenia was the only one that was a problem because of her heal on hit. Will I have a problem with the DLC bosses or do none of them have a gimmick like that?
You're going to want to abuse guard counters in the DLC. Get a shield.
Luckily they didnt copypaste that moronic gimmick just aoe diarrhea, mor floaty animations anime with less windup and damage numbers
Fast weapons seem to help me a lot in the DLC
Guard counter alone not cutting it for me.
Swapped to a dlc weapon and new stats
Killed Lion 4 attempts or so.
Yeah that boss is bad, it needs to be fixed.
If any of you guys are moronic enough to get filtered by anything in this game or DLC then you should just quit gaming, clearly not your hobby. I have never struggled once in Elden Ring after getting this shield. This DLC is easy as frick too lmao.
Agreed these games are for babies
It's just fricking stupid you can't even Heal when you run out of flasks. Kingdom Hearts does it better where you can keep heeling if you just wait for a recharge
Any of you gays know if I can get NPC armor just by murdering them right away? I don't wanna do any fricking quest so they can end up dying anyway.
Dread phase 2 is one of FROM's best in terms of visuals, holy frick its insane on an HDR OLED
Messmer's armor set looks homosexual as frick, but I like his weapon and he also gets you a 60 FTH spell, that's higher than Elden Stars, which is shit btw, but I haven't used Messmer's Flame, but it sounds way stronger/better as a FTH nuke.
A shame we dont get his fricking moveset until mods
I agree they're a little overtuned, especially since some of them can basically two-shot you. But saying they're all Malenia tier is just outright lying.
Bayle is almost, ALMOST a good fight
Very good phase 1 and insane visuals but sadly the fricking aoe spam in phase 2, the gay cinematic attacks and how short phase 1 is just gives it the fromslop seal of poor quality
>Don my shield
>Call my wife Tiche
>Use AoE heal when the boss isn't fixated on me and she needs topping off
The mmo strat works
Should you defeat Malenia before or after DLC and is there special dialogue for doing it before/after?
AUGH
you didnt guard and stalled through bullshit basedsperg out attacks enough
just use summons you fricking idiot
Just smoke weed while you play you will zone out and beat the bosses trust me.
