>hey guys I think this arbitrary list of good games is the ONLY good games in this extensively big library that has many other good games but that I Will arbitrarily say are not good!
What's the point of these threads? Why do you keep making them?
NES Tetris is the first version of Tetris that doesn't suck ass. Ever played the Famicom version of Tetris? It's fricking unplayable. You better get on your knees and suck NES Tetris's DICK for saving Tetris forever.
>FF2
Hell no. I can tolerate the remakes, but even those still aren't very good aside from the music.
It also has the worst world map of the whole series.
My list of good NES games already has between 200 and 300 titles. You haven't even seen the tip of the iceberg here; as for me, I'm not even half way through the iceberg
Fire N Ice, despite its color palette.
Arguably Adventures of Lolo games as well, but being able to choose what stage you want rather than being blocked off by a single stage made me appreciate Fire N Ice more. Also, the Lolo games tend to start off slow and only have a few good stages at the end.
I think you should go back and replay Mega Man 3 again, right now, before you start putting it on the top anything list.
Smells like opinion gave by one of those "Le top 10 underrated NES game by IGN" lists.
I can understand Mega Man 3 but putting Mega Man 2 on this list just reveals you as a hipster.
It's the buggiest game in entire series and is largely overrated.
The NES library is huge but also a bit of a mess. You pretty much have to stick to a handful of developers or else it's like swimming in pirate and shovelware oddities lol
>Ironsword: Wizards & Warriors 2
Are you fricking serious?
I'd like to hear your justification for that one. Attacking anything in that game was a shitshow and half the exploration just ended with you sliding down the mountainside.
I hesitated between 1 and 2 but I ended up choosing 2 because it removed a lot of the more annoying exploration of 1 while adding a bunch of cool RPG elements, the exploration did take a hit but it made the overall levels and combat more fun in my opinion. >Attacking anything in that game was a shitshow
Eeeh I get what you mean but I'd say that once you are used to the quirks of it (hitboxes are way smaller than they should be) it's very enjoyable.
There's nothing to discuss. Anything you can say about a given retro game has already been said, and anyone who wants to play it already has. The only people who cling on to "retro gaming" as an idea and spend 20 years discussing the same games they played when they were 6 are miserable manchildren who desperately wish they were kids again.
What about Castlevania

>nes tetris
if it can't 20g it's not tetris, it's just a game that has the same name

While the NES Tetris is fine the Tengen version is superior in every single way.

Why did you untyson punch out

Trying too hard to be likable. Doubt you played half to completion

>Trying too hard to be likable
Play more games.
>FF2

unironically filtered

I’ve often seen reference Gargoyle’s Quest 2 as a good NES title. Have you played it OP?

>Shitrby's Trashventure
Really grasping with that one anon
Despite the babby easy difficulty I would be hard pressed not to put KA in my nes top 10.
>2 megaman games
>no Uncharted Waters
shit taste
replace Mega Man 3 with 4 and I'll accept it.
some are better on Famicom
no Rygar?

The truth to the matter is that almost every single NES game is worth playing because of their simplicity

Sunsoft and natsume games from around 1986 and forwards.
I like Technos
Only Punch Out is actually good in your list.

Honestly if you don't like Contra your opinion is void, it's the closest thing to an objectively good game
>two Mega Man games
hahahaha... HAHHAHAHAHHAAHHAHAHAHAHA
Lot's of 2s. A mix of all time greats and childhood favourites.
Gimmick is such a meme game.
Why does this board have such low quality "discussion"? It's pathetic how far removed most posts here are from a regular human conversation.
These "people" don't go outside.

Your presence here really exudes contentment.
>No Crystalis
>Mega Man 2 over 4
>Castlevania 3 is the only Konami game
KYS
ok I've thought about it for a while. Here are the 8 best NES games based on objective gameplay quality measures.
Ducktales
>clunkyvania instead of zelda 2
Cringe.
Forgive me for being a moron, but where are you guys going to generate these image lists?
looks like topsters.org
there are probably a million copycats at this point though so it could be anything
