the first time i ever launched a rocket it was through a stubborn insistence not to use robo ports or solar power and got both of those achievements at once
probably inflicted more pain on myself than was necessary
author says it's a long way from being done. From how grindy everyone says the midgame is I believe it.
For me, it's seablock || with console commands to increase game speed during the earlygame ||

One of the original devs admitted drones were a mistake
what, was it because the drones were basically filling a logistical hole that wasn't actually there, or what would have been their idea of what would have been in place instead of drones
because repair alone makes drones necessary wouldnt it?

I've never followed the forums for Factorio so its nice to learn that my issues with bots are shared. For me, the fun of Factorio is setting up new manufacturing lines that change due to the environment (in particular, the placements of resources relative to the base) then snaking belts throughout the whole thing to make it work. The most fun I have is when I'm not making enough of some good (like copper wire) but have already maxxed out on my copper wire production area and so need to make a new one and somehow work it in. Bots just make a lot of this a nonfactor

yeah that sums it up pretty well. Bots are the best solution and the least interesting solution.

Why are you smelting iron in space? Shipping up ingots would let you use productivity on the ground while also taking up less space on your rocket.
Yea man, I just found out about ingots. Started using em
ROBOTS ARE FOR NERDS
You are right! This is not an "RTS"
Forklifts wenn?
wait, what? you can actually go into space and continue building on the moon or something? Are there more and stronger space bugs?
Space Exploration mod.
>it's modded
Not a RTS
Considering this game is a monument to autism I'm surprised it doesn't get more attention on /vst/
there is nothing more to add to the discussion, everyone already played it to death
Bet you never beat space exploration tho
