Art is good
Story WAS light hearted, but then it became stupid melodrama without the writing skills to pull it off. Bad guys were insanely one dimensional and story arcs predictable

Maybe the biggest problem was that the fights weren't very good, just asspulls and tired tropes
the story is hardly lighthearted which is kinda the problem. It tries to touch on edgy stuff and serious stakes but it's mostly poorly executed so it drags down the great things that it does. It's hard to take "seriously" which is kinda rough for an action series

its outright bad, FT was good for its first 5 arcs, after the Oracion Seis arc went sideways.
Tartarus is one of the best shonen arcs you could read (except the "because it's Erza" bit).
