Damn. Thanks for warning me, was considering it.
Just another reminder that the DualShock 4 / Dualsense is the worst controller ever.
Shitty analogs that drift all the time and low quality dpads for fighting vidya.
I own 4 of them.
Do not be like me.
looks too off brand so that was on you.
works on my machine
Literally could happen to anyone. My switch pro was drifting. Just do the regular at home fixes and if that doesnt work then consider yourself fricked. Contact cleaner is the way to go
Really? I recently got one too after everything else started drifting. Why can't any of these homosexuals make a decent controller anymore?
My issues are the input delay and shit dpad. I get more false up-diagonals on the pro 2 than I did even on the switch pro
The DS4 has spoiled me with it's super low wireless latency, it's hard to go back to most other controllers
That happens with all controllers nowadays, regardless of PS5 or Xbox.
Just buy, swap, and return.
>fall for the cyberpunk meme
>after a year of using it starts to drift
well it says no future right there on it
Are there any good controllers out there?
not really nowadays. Though my DualShock 4 controller lasted almost 5 years before 2 buttons started double clicking, and during that time, I was in college/ being NEET so iwas gaming every day so that seems pretty good.
I just get whatever DS4 controller on sale for 25 bucks and it works good enough
pretty much every controller you can buy nowadays, even first party, all use the same stick box. they are all prone to drifting to some degree, it literally doesnt matter which you choose.
this guy gets it
you sure you didnt get a knockoff? i got one of their early SNES pads and at that time 8bitdo controllers were considered the best SNES and NES wireless replicas out there.
i havent bought any of their new stuff after they got told off by nintendo to stop their 1:1 replicas, probably because of the NES and SNES mini for which they offered bluetooth dongles as well. though they have some cool color and shell options for their new line of SNES pads. but i think they arent bluetooth anymore which is a bummer
works fine for me
the chinks in charge even sent me replacement button pads for free when they wore down
Retrobit are the only "decent" third party controllers in my opinion. 8bitdo feel cheap as shit and not reliable at all. Also fell for the shills and got of those only for the dpad to stop working after 3 months of casual playtime. That said: I have only tried the retrobit megadrive and Saturn controllers and both do their job well. Everything else is mostly garbage. First party controllers are clearly superior. Unless its the DualShock 4 - there isn't a single decent PS4 controller.

Hope they fixed that shit.
sucks that it happened to you but send them an email and they'll try to help. I've had mine for multiple years and recently the rubber mat (forget what its called) underneath my Y button broke and kept sticking when I pushed it. I sent them an email, they asked me to take a picture of the issue so I opened the controller, took a pic of the broken piece and they sent me a replacement piece (not the whole controller) for free and I fixed it myself.
>meme
Nah, you got bad luck. Have mine since 2018, still perfect, use it almost daily especially to play emulators, best game-related purchase of my life really.
Show us your receipt/invoice you SHILL.
I think I got mine about 2-3 years ago, no drift so far.
it's a lottery really with "side pots"
>after a year
man you got lucky
i got the nes controller from them on massdrop and out of the box it felt like the cheapest piece of shit i've ever used
>included cable was completely DOA
>cover on the front felt like sticky glue
>shitty 360 style dpad that doesn't work at all for fighting games
just overall a piece of junk. frick that shit.
Every joystick comes from one factory
You got a full year out of it?
I'm jelly.
To be fair to the Do, it's fairly easy to correct the drift on PC with multitude of calibration options. Maybe a little generous dead-zone, but mine hasn't gotten any worse.
Shame about the face buttons on mine though. A button sticks a bit; membrane is about to fail.
>official xbox controller starts to double-input RB
>check the site for a repair
>it's in guarantee, so I send it
>4 days later, what appears to be a refurbished controller arrives, in pristine condition
>test it
>it freaking drifts, dear lord i'm fricked
>update the firmware
>drift disappear in a couple of days
probably a software calibration they have implemented in the firmware
