Favorite zombie survival games? I've been meaning to play Days Gone but it always seems a little too expensive even when on sale.

Zomboid is very good if you can get past the UI.
This game is frickinff
>frickinff
WHAT?
>he doesn’t know
No one tell him.
I don't browse Ganker, keep it to yourself if you want.
Days gone is pretty good, it's like an open world ubisoft game with gameplay similar to last of us, both the infected and humans are fun to fight. Endgame has you fighting hordes of 100's of infected

this all sounds fine. i'll have to get it during the next steam sale.
it's "survival guide" and it's weg trash
what game is that ?
Damnit, I was hoping this was some 3rd person zombie killing game with a WEG girl design. But instead it's nothing... disappointing thread all around.
State of Decay 2 is fun as well, i've got like 200 hours in it and have beat multiple communities on most difficulties except for lethal (hardest one)
>State of Decay 2
yes, pretty good. Can be pretty comfy if you stay on normal and focus on base-building.
Or you can go for higher challenges and get perma-death-raped.
There's another update in the works too, i think.
how much would you pay for SOD2? as a high morals gamer i have to buy them
Full price, by now. i think i bought it on a discount back then.
I have about 280 hours in it. They supplied free update after free update. More bases, more content, unlockable unique weapons on rotation.
Never dipped into the nightmare difficulties because the game is just too comfy.
The next update might be the last before their next game, but it's still good.
The beginning can be a bit rough until you start to fill your permanent roster with survivors that have all the skills you need over multiple runs/sessions, but then it really kicks off.
You can grab the big base plots, get free water and electricity, etc.
Then you go on supply runs to get building materials, train your guys, do story missions (Turnbull valley), do regular missions (help people, visit wandering traders, etc.), grind for currency, mod weapons.
Or just go to the next map with a trunk full of your stuff and look for your next base.
sounds like it'd like it. i enjoy playing DayZ except for the part where some butthole i'll never see headshots me from a bush. just let me collect my cans of beans in piece, man. killing other players for cans of beans has its appeal but after a while you just wanna eat your beans without wondering if someone is hiding behind every corner.
It's really comfy.
Days gone is also good, but that game is just intense, especially when taking out the nests.
Also, no real bases, just little towns with missions and traders. But gripping story missions, it's like binge watching a new show. Good game length too.
In SOD2 you can also easily RP since you control everything.
I sent all my women to kitchen and gardening duty and had a very strict immigration policy to my bases and forts.
you can really do what you want in there.
>i can finally make my No Girls Allowed zombie survival club house
nice...
Recently i've been playing 7 days to die and it's been an experience for sure, i first installed the game, played for like 5 minutes and thought it was the jankiest piece of shit i've ever played, uninstalled. Went back 2 days later and installed it again just to give it another try, lasted almost a full day alive and when night came and i died i was done with it.
a day later i boot up the game, make a new world and call it "last try" because it was going to literally be the last time i tried to enjoy the game.
I sunk 40 hours into that save
It took awhile to click with me too but it's one of my favorite pick up and play games. Eventually look into the overhaul mods like Darkness Falls specifically. I can never play vanilla ever again.
CDDA is my other favorite "zombie" game, Bright Nights shits all over mainline.
dysmantle is a lesser known gem.
It was pretty funny, but that Ark shit with the bricks at the end was just horrorgrind before the update. Massive timesink.
They just announced a DLC too.
