I think he's basically deriding people who use Discord for thinking that Discord is the best platform when Ganker has historically used many such platforms, such as MSN, X-Fire, and Teamspeak, and all were generally better than Discord.

I keep seeing this discord getting shilled on the idea that using anything else, especially threads, is a slow and faulty way to get players, but if the game you're looking to play isn't DRG, then you're often just as well off just using a thread instead. At worst, you end up having to schedule a session somewhat far out like these guys do, and at best, some threads are the quicker and more reliable method.
