Shortest way to get somewhere is: >get quest objective >tab to main menu >press quest menu >press “travel to quest location” >Opens map, where you have to press travel to landing zone >Loads you in your ship, in the ship menu…where you have to press “leave ship”
Then you can start shooting. It’s at least 5 fricking menus whenever you get a new quest. Why lie, Fabio?
Assuming you start at the lodge it's not too far off: >loading screen out of the lodge >loading screen to jump to target system (maybe more than once depending on ship range and explored systems) >loading screen to land at target system >loading screen to enter copy-paste dungeon (wowee this one has le epic artifact cave added to it) >shoot laser at artifact to free it >shoot starborn that spawns >loading screen to exit copy-paste dungeon >loading screen(s) to jump back to jemison >loading screen to land at lodge >loading screen to enter lodge >deliver artifact >quest complete
It's even worse with the temple missions because you have to dock at the eye to talk to the black russian and go through the docking cutscene multiple times.

I was doing some of the ryujin quest last night and as far as dialog goes I'm bascally taking the path of least resistance and choosing the top just send me where the frick I need to go option every time / skipping the voice dialog, and its still taking hours and hours because it's a laughable amount of time wasted just sprinting across neon between like 4 load transitions to talk to someone then back.
Or then you try to travel back straight to neon core, and it decides nope your getting scanned this time even though you have no contraband and your forced to orbit and land.

You know you can skip most loading screens by just selecting where you want to go.
You don't have to enter your ship and enter orbit first.
If you want the immersion of doing all that you can but it isn't necessary.
What's immersive about extra loading screens?
It's not like you get to take off, land or fly yourself. There's no incentive to do so.
