Deal with the enemies from the east, west and south and aggro Ike with Astra Storm coming from a Covert unit. Take mages since his res is pretty bad. If you have Corrin already, spamming terrains helps you slow down reinforcements
I actually already beat it by rushing the right side with mage knight anna and using allear with lucina to protect her, are you expected to actually deal with all those enemies it seems like way to much? I ended up doing a similar thing with lyn's paralogue
You're only expected to defeat Ike. The way you go about it is up to you, but I personally wouldn't want to miss too much Exp from the enemies. As long as they're manageable.

Astra storm the boss turn 1 so they run to you instead of standing there.
Then dogpile and kill them in a single turn with your entire party and dancer+byleth engage dance.

Because of 3H's Monastery, every new FE game has to have some garbage hub area comprised of pointless fluff just for the sake of bloat and downtime. Somniel should have been a menu with 2D illustrations. The post map exploration can stay though.
