I actually went Gremory Catherine to be the inverse Mortal Savant Lysithea. Since Lysithea's unique weapon uses the Charon crest to activate the Agnea's Arrows ability it means Catherine can use it too.
I've been doing a frickload of reclasses and unironically one of my favorites so far has been making Hilda a gremory to unlock her electric spells then going a mixed class like Holy Knight or Trickster.
Her bolting/thoron are ridiculously strong despite her low-ish magic, especially once you have stuff like Essence of Lightning and Flare.
Seteth is my favorite unit. I maxed out every Axe class as well as Holy Knight

Neither of those crests are that good to be honest with you. The main thing that make crests good is that it lets you use the heroes relics, which, in-lore, are absurdly OP. And both the crest of seiros and flames don't have a relic they're compatible with. they still CAN use any relic of course, but to get the full use out of one you need the correct match. Only reason the crest of seiros gets the clout it does is because of religious reasons and it being that thing the imperial bloodline has. Edelgard could have five crests and it wouldn't make her that much stronger unless she actually managed to get a matching relic. The agarthans had to bootleg a relic in their garage for her to swing around specifically because there weren't any available that matched the ones she had.

In case you really don't understand let me make it simpler, Adrestia was always going to declare war on Faerghus regardless of what path Dimitri chose.
Either he lets the church die and his kingdom is now stolen land since the organisation that declared it an independent nation is gone thus giving Adrestia an excuse for invasion, or he takes the church in and has to go to war.
The kingdom is going to face war no matter what, if he announced to his people they're abandoning the central church to avoid war only to be invaded a few months later he'll be seen as incompetent at best, a traitorous heathen at worst. That's why Edelgard's manoeuvre of declaring the Southern Church as the real-one was a genius political move because it put the Kingdom into a lose-lose situation and doesn't put her at odds with the faith itself, only Rhea and the upper clergy.

You should pay more attention, I find it funny that Edeltards haven't even been paying attention to Edelgards own route, since they make it abundantly clear that Alliance is probably not going to last that long, you have Marianne saying that Margrave Edmund had her stay with the Empire because he thinks the most likely outcome is that the alliance is going to end up under the empire's control so he wants her to stay in their good graces, you have Lorenz saying the same thing with how he doubts things are going to be so peachy after the war is done, you have Claude saying the same thing saying that the Alliance is going to be holding the short end of the stick after the empire deals with the kingdom and that Edelgards path of conquest probably won't stop there. You have Edelgard outright saying she still needs to deal with the Alliance, well after she's signed the pact.

Yes you should have enough lore to understand things but it also depends on why you liked Claude's route because his route in Hopes is the complete opposite.
