This in fact just buy steam off valve and stop trying to compete with a supervisor store

Or better yet sell to steam and merge so I don't have to download a new store

Stop making games exclusive to your shit platform just cause you can't find any other way to compete to steam,, sooner or later Fortnite will be irrelevant then you won't have any more money to pay companies to be free and exclusives on your garbage platform.
    You're fighting the inevitable.

      >Stop making games exclusive to your shit platform
i can't imagine anyone doing this. imagine competing in the industry with your own platform. how the frick are you suppose to get a piece of the pie when everyone is going to be "why should I? I got steam."

because it's their own game, moron. I don't care about Fortnite being an exclusive.

Timmy is on the right track. He just needs to get better exclusives and the deal he signed with squenix will pay off. FF7R will sell.

      >Sony has 100 million+ install base with PS4
      >FF7R only sells 5 million
Anyone that cared wanted a fancy looking remake of FF7 but they got a sequel that compromised on the graphics and isn't the whole game. It ain't selling shit on PC, Steam or otherwise.

Neo twewy was really the only game i considered actually buying but it's an incredibly easy game to pirate, so i'll wait to buy it on steam.

    1. Add some kind of useful feature to the desktop client, be it something copied from Steam or something new — just anything, at least to give it the appearance of being more than DRM and/or spyware. Go ahead and tell me that all of Steam's features are bloat, but it doesn't change the fact (that for at least some people) the Steam client earns its keep with the features it offers (built-in remote play for local multiplayer, built-in streaming, built-in messaging and voice chat, a shitload of other community features, Proton and the ability to add custom Steam Play compatibility tools, etc.). Even GOG Galaxy has its built-in Playnite-like features, and the Itch.io desktop client is nice for Linux users because it automatically runs Windows games through Wine. What does the Epic Games launcher have? "Ummm, uh, it downloads the games." Gee, thanks Tim.
    2. Stop blowing tons of money on free games that bring in ZERO revenue. Epic Games has a frickload of users who literally just grab free shit and will never use their accounts for anything else. Instead of paying developers to let their games get thrown in the free giveaway bin, use that money to subsidize deeper discounts during sales, so people actually buy things. This is probably what they've been trying to do with their coupons, but nobody likes coupons. Instead of paying one or two developers to do -100% each week, pay a bunch of developers to go from their normal -50% down to -60% during each sale. Make sure all the high-profile games are a little cheaper than on Steam. Why the hell would anyone with a Steam account switch to Epic Games otherwise?
    3. Go back in time and implement the shopping cart before the lack of a shopping cart becomes a meme.
    4. Let me download the Linux versions of the EGS games that have Linux versions available on other stores.

The Exodus shitstorm left a permanent stain on their rep that really hasnt gone away. People for a long time will see them as a shitter launcher to any alternative that only is relevant for free games and exclusivity deals with shit devs. It’s pretty much fricked for a while.
