I don't know how you people get to the point where your instant gut reaction at seeing an arty style that went down in infamy start to improve itself as "forced soul" or seeing the different events that happen in the levels as "gimmick fests" or bringing old characters back to use in interesting ways as "nostalgia pandering" but regardless, you need professional help. I know you're probably laughing to yourselves upon reading that but if this is how this board constantly reacts to video games, I can't fricking imagine how draining it must be to one of the people in your lives. They could've just made new super mario bros 5 and just added numbers forever and it would've still sold anyway. But they did it anyway to make something a bit more original.
