It ran well on my 3080ti but it almost melted it because temps were constantly over the 70°c and went to 90°c once. No fps drops, just everything getting very toasty inside my pc.
I bet that would definitely frick over any lower gpu.
This game represents a time in gaming for me when games were finally starting to come out and it was all generic shit. Even alan wake was a disappointment.
>combat is literally two buttons and you unlock more buttons as you level up
who though this was a good idea? it made the early game mind numbingly boring
at least in GR you had the gravity bending mechanic nearly at the beggining.
here the memories don't play a huge part until some time later.
game's not bad but it made a horrendous first impression.
I never got the point of starting game underpowered either, and games getting easier the more powerful you get. It feels like it'd be better if you got weaker as the game went along to up the difficulty.
>It feels like it'd be better if you got weaker as the game went along to up the difficulty.
It really would not. The entire point of gaining new powers is to feel stronger, not to be a sidegrade. You'd never feel like you were progressing as a character. Kena: Bridge of Spirits sort of does what you're saying by giving you sidegrades and some more HP, and it feels like ass because you deal chip damage to everything but they still kill you in like two hits, and they gain more HP as the game goes on. Yeah, you have a bow, bombs, and dashing, but that's not exactly much.
The game had some really baffling design decisions. Like having a combat system based on accumulating a combo counter, but you lose your combo if you attack a different enemy.
this game looked so buggy and poorly made when I saw it, the intro was especially laughable
sucks because I was interested in this game but after seeing that shit I lost interest
Yeah and supergiant games respected you, their fan and consumer, enough to go to ebin games for the guaranteed profits whether the game sold or not. Great stuff, really inspires me to buy their game instead of just pirating it since Timmy paid upfront for me.

Pretty sure they had it completely in early access in epic games then when it fully came out it was on all platforms. No need to justify you being a Black person anon.

Don't worry, i bought every game of theirs, including Pyre, and wowed never to touch a game of theirs after that Epic games shitshow occurred. You might forgive Phoenix point, Metro Exodus and Hades for bowing to chink CCP spyware, i don't.

>worry about ccp >on Ganker >uses steam >has windows
Lol lmao
Hitman 3 also got it good but it also didn't help IO was really testing the Steam fans with their patience and threshold on how shitty they were acting a times.
Isnt that due, in part, to Square-Enix being in such big suckers for Epic, like they are still now?

Square sold them off and gave Hitman back to them after Hitman 1 while they were developing 2, 3 was because Warner Bros and IO liked the idea of the developer/publisher getting more money through them than steam. And it actually worked and due to 1 and 2 being free for 3 buyers it performed very well unlike the last two. But after that one year deal, the second they released it on steam its been nonstop headaches.
>darkest dungeon 2 doesn't apply even though the original game has way more people playing it right now >FFXVI doesn't apply even though sales fell off of a cliff after the first week and the only discussion about the game is when barry has an autism fit while completely ignoring forspoken also being a huge bomb
It's like they looked at the things people enjoyed about 1 and said "let's tone these down so we can focus on adding more of the things people don't outright hate about 1 but are just annoyed by"
Because it's terrible. The graphics look like plastic, the ambience is much much worse, the guns feel awful, melee has zero weight. System shock 2 did ALL of these things 100x better
>System shock 2 did ALL of these things 100x better
lmao no. Especially since almost every weapon in SS2 was a joke. Every heavy weapon except the grenade launcher sucked, every energy weapon except the rapier sucked, every exotic weapon sucked, and the assault rifle basically outclassed every other ranged weapon purely because of how ridiculously OP it was (high damage rifle effective against both organics and inorganics due to being able to load it with both HP and AP rounds in addition to standard rounds AND it used pistol rounds which were common as frick and cheap as dirt in vending machines).System Shock 2's balance and weapons were ultimately dog shit.
It was fun, we had fun threads talking about it. At the end of the day it's a 6-8 hour single player game. How long did you expect people to talk about it?
please just fricking stop talking about it
I am tired
At least Elden Ring was a fun game and people were talking about fighting bosses instead of fricking dipshit romances.
I remember posting for months or even a year telling people to stop getting hyped and that the game was going to be shit because it had all the signs, everyone told me I was wrong.
Then the game came out and died so fast I couldn't even say I told you so, because everyone had already forgotten about it.
>we will never get a game this good again >the absolute travesty that is dbd is the only thing left in this unique genre
I pray for mercy but only receive more pain
I don't know what it is, might be that demon form shit but it just doesn't feel fun to play. I enjoy the first game a lot though. Also thought the zones in 2 were really boring.
sad part about this game is that is some really well-done aspect. like the music system is fricking excellent, they simplified it from what lotro did, but made it much more worthwhile, and now standing around playing music is JUST for ambiance. fishing, and the gathering professions feel really satisfying.
but then crafting is just a quantity slider and click. then its done. no time, no animation, no minigame, just done.
then the game, in which every inhabitant had to sail there, had no deep water and no swimming. you're surrounded by water.
combat is simplistic but passable, and feels okay when you're not lagging and desyncing left and right.
almost all of the zones look samey and boring, they dont feel naturalistic in any way.
Man, CA basically has Total War game genre all to themselves and they will just piss it away for nothing.

The lack of competition is exactly how they ended up where they are now. SEGA noticed that putting budget into projects didn't show an equal amount of profit and started pushing cheap saga titles and cutting dev teams for the big projects. As a result they're making more money on TW than ever but even the most braindead fanboy is noticing the decline at this point. Pharaoh will be profitable, but just barely, and Hyena will be the final torpedo before CA gets "restructured".

>Paradox is no better overcharging and spamming games with dlc galore
Sad
games with white male leads are pretty raw these days but devs always make sure to feature tons of ugly strong wyaman in those as well that are all written as stronger, smarter and more competent then the white male lead, with him getting rescued, beaten up or told what to do every cut scene
>check Ganker archive >1 singular thread, with 0 reply, trying to bait people by posting a black woman in the game
wow, when your game is so shit even rage bait fails on Ganker, you know you fricked up
the only reason people remember this is because its one of the first unreal engine 5 games thats not fortnite or a indie game.
Never heard of it. I checked the trailer and couldn't finish it. The premise of a magic FPS sounds fine, but goddamn that looks terrible.
I remember it bc they were trying to drum it up as a spiritual successor to Hexen and everyone hated it
I will forever post images of this game whenever people b***h and moan about indie boomer shooters being unoriginal
>that name >that cover >that description >EA
this 100% feels like one of those weird, random games that you'd rent from blockbuster that seems like it could be cool, but then turns out too be janky and shitty.
Because the graphics are supposed to be the selling point but the game is fricking disgusting to look at. Serious contender for worst art direction of all time.
>monster Hunter killer
Maybe you thought that way but the Koei execs only though it would be a reboot of Toukiden with a new coat of paint.
And it's a damn fine game if you can run it. Shame about the optimization.
>what happened
bad performance from what I hear
Would've gotten the game but almost all reviews mentioned performance issues at some point so I'll get it when it goes on a deep sale
I sincerely don't get what's going on inside the devs' mind. >Ascendant Studios was founded in 2018 by a group of veteran Dead Space and Call of Duty game developers. It will be the studio's first major game release.
Really? You have good CoD games and Dead Space was fricking incredible back in the day. How do you lose taste like this? The only explanation is that this project was pushed on them and they were told that it would have to be done like that or don't even try. Probably BlackRock money too.
No wonder the guy on the left is the one on the cover. This shit would sell even less if any of the others were front and center.
I would love it if this game was good, really. But given that it's EA I doubt that it will play as good as Hexen, much less modern imitators like Amid Evil or Arthurian Legends.
Technically the max suit level is 100 but unlocking them at 20 is fair, you get used to the playstyle and unlock modules which you'll end up using on the variant too.
Sucks for new players but otherwise you'd end up with people running around without modules equipped.
Looking back at spider's track record, this being kinda shit isn't really shocking. One of the guys who did a full review of hunt down the freeman did about all of them in separate videos, and damn they suck at designing coherent, engaging gameplay.

I liked Bound by Flame, but it was laughable in trying to cram Bioware romances in such a short game and the ending section when you literally choose your ending via dialogue (there's even a line "I will ask my companions" for MC lacking any agency) was very anti-climactic. Designs in the game are pretty good though.
I like how EA made a big deal about how they were going to completely revamp the game from top to bottom but ended up abandoning it a few weeks later when they realized how much work it would be.

This was such bullshit. They were baiting fans too like they were going to fix it with a major announcement and then said LOL NOPE
The second the entire town was filled with nothing but brown people and the story revolved around them being oppressed by the bad guys trying to invade them, which happened to be white people. I knew this was going to fricking flop.
Anon, you're moronic, or just too young to even know
When exactly did the definition of "furry" change from "someone who pretends to be an animal person" to "anyone who wants to frick an animal person"?
When furries got kicked off of all the boards and got their own websites everyone forgot how fricking awful the furry fandom was and just started associating it with liking monstergirls with breasts. Zoomers don't even know how fricked in the head furries are because trannies have taken the niche because, unlike furries, so many sites make it impossible to filter them out, and they make everything about them, just like furries did.
Funniest aspect of balan blunderworld without doubt, even setting aside Naka going to jail for it indirectly, but it will never stop bothering me that the setup for this guy's chapter is that a farmer is butthurt that the elements of nature fricked his farm up, despite every farmer ever working the fields knowing that the very thing he lives off is the same thing that at any time can turn fickle and screw him over, leading to a sigh and subsequent rebuilding.
Maybe he really was intended to be Virgil's foil all along.
I didn't get to play it because my rig was too shitty when it came out but a year later, I could and this game was way too overhyped. Open world design was terrible, loads of gaols and caves with shitty bosses, so on and so forth. Stormveil and Raya Lucaria were great but it's mostly downhill from there.
i unironically like this one, upgrading weapons felt cool. it's a bad game overall though, rtcw is the goat (and ET), and old blood gets an honorable mention everything else makes me gag
Worlds adrift was extremely kino until it got shut down. It was a genuine MMO sky pirate experience with (permanently) destroyable airship PvP and it massively rewarded exploration. You could design your own islands and others could find them in-game.
They’re remaking it under a different name but I’m sure it won’t be the same. The proprietary server infrastructure that they used was at the heart of it, but that will almost certainly be shitcanned in the remake.
Nah, same as with first game - automation calculation bottlenecks (and bugs) was the reason. 3d maybe was cause of some crashes on some configs, but other than that I could not think much of a drawback with 3d.
Funny things - fully drawn 2d tech tree was causing some stuttering. Seems like it is fixed now.
I'm trying to remember a game myself, it should be prime material for this thread.
As a basic concept, it was like Battlefield: large scale arena shooter with multiple roles that you can seamless switch between. The kicker is that it was a space/orbital battle, so you could seamlessly go from dogfighting to bombing to boarding an enemy ship to manning a turret on a frigate/corvette. It was criminally under marketed (or maybe it was just poorly received due to poor performance, I am not sure).
I think a star wars entry (one of the battlefronts?) had a bit of similar gameplay (space setting), but this was a unique property.
I don't think so.
It came up when I was desperately looking for it but it didn't sound familiar nor did the videos trip any memory. It also has ground combat which I don't think the game I'm thinking of had, but maybe it was added later.
game has better graphics, better combat, better world design than BotW but had the most annoying characters and writing i think ive ever seen in a game.
if it had been made to be taken seriously, rather than being presented as a giant goof fest, it would have been received better, zero doubt about it.
It looked like a breath of the wild ripoff but in gameplay it was closer to Dad of War but honest about the fact it was an ubisoft sandbox. I had a surprisingly nice time with it going in with no expectations.
[...]
it's a shame because the game is unironically a hidden gem
The title of the game is the problem. It fricked them over hardcore. Way too many syllables, a confusing alternate spelling of a word and since it kinda sounds like a game with a subtitle it'll make the average consumer think it's a sequel to something they never heard of much less played.
im still waiting for the pc port a 11 months from now. what the hell were they thinking taking the sony deal? they would have made more money easily if they did a ps5/xbox/pc release day 1. whatever exclusive money would have been negated.
[...]

>what the hell were they thinking taking the sony deal?
AAA is fricking expensive and Sony wanted an big Japanese exclusive, especially since Microsoft successfully got Persona and Yakuza out of Playstation jail and every other major publisher is recognizing PC as a viable platform, to say nothing of the obvious dominance of the Switch.
Then the frick were they doing, putting Horizon and Spiderman on PC? It makes no sense. There was no market for those games there, not any real one. XVI's main selling point was Yoship and Soken, the MMO people, were making it, and they go and sell it on a console that has nobody that was playing the MMO. Squeenex leadership is moronic, but that's no surprise considering they greenlit fricking Forspoken.
normal mode is very easy, so the battles in your first playthrough will be underwhelming. The eikon fights are peak spectacle porn, might be the best in the industry at this moment. NG+ gives you access to the Hard/Very Hard difficulties, which makes the actual fights much more engaging. By that time you have to slog through the story to get all the fights unlocked again, so it's not for everyone.
Overall I gave it an 8ish out of 10, definitely not worth going out of your way to buy a PS5 for, but if you already have one then it's a must-have.
cutscenes are skippable but they're segmented weirdly so you have to "skip" 2-3 times per scene, and the skip takes just long enough to be annoying. There's also a decent amount of the on-rails stuff, but it's not too overbearing
max level gets raised from 50-100, enemies get new moves, are more aggressive and minibosses and mixed into regular encounters. It's actually pretty well done.
>stagger gauge and damage numbers everywhere
This arpg style of action game has never appealed to me and it feels like most recent ones all have that style.
I can't wait for the definitive version of this on PC with a mod that puts you straight into NG+ so you don't go through 60 hours of journalist mode to get to fun combat
as a MH fan I was pretty hype
but considering I got a pretty average PC and
massive performance issues were being reported with better rigs, i'm just waiting
I hear they're still patching it, so i'll wait for the price to drop
really sucks there's no demo on steam so I could at least see how it runs
I mean if this is early access, I can't wait to see what a fully-fledged Baldur's Game looks like. It's nice to have a new good franchise to look forward to.
I want wild farts but the steep price and lack of AI companions makes me hesitant. I wouldn't mind spending $40 if I could have fun playing alone with bots atleast. These types of games are dead post launch. I had a lot of fun with Toukiden with the bots atleast.
Wild hearts was a good game with awful performance and gearing system. I played through the whole thing and stopped at the endgame because I didn't care to go any further, but the fights were well designed and difficult. I'd play a second if it ever came out.
Unless I'm mistaken it was also one of the first big names to take the deal so there was even more added animosity. Release version being very meh and the ebin deal truly sealed the game's fate
this one and it's a shame because the graphics were superb
What about the gameplay, this shit has been on my backlog because of the art for months now
I recently started playing it after watching a review. Overall I think it has a lot going for it once you get used to how shooting works compared to nuXCom. The core game design is fine, but the DLCs add some bullshit. You can get keys for the Year One edition from G2A for super cheap though.
>the DLCs add some bullshit
What kind of bullshit are we talking about
Also how freeform are the meta aspects of the game (ie when you're not inside a mission) and how much customization is there for your troops
One DLC adds some big behemoth thing that stomps around the word smashing havens but lacks real interactivity so it is just an extra layer of frustration that isn't needed. And the air combat from that same DLC also feels tacked on and not really thought out. One of the free DLCs adds an ancient civilization plotline with the aim being unlocking 3 OP weapons which in itself would be fine, but it is an absolute chore to get to the point of even unlocking 1 and the missions to set it all up are bullshit.
All this being said the Geoscape stuff is a lot more interesting that I was expecting. Whilst you cannot choose the location of your bases, only reactivate old ones dotted around the map, there are a bunch of Havens around which allow for extra recruitment and diplomacy benefits. As well if you are not on good terms with a faction you will need to raid them for their faction specific research which is an interesting idea. There is also a decent amount of weapons and classes to unlock as the game progresses and all recruits multiclass at level 4 so you can make some nifty combos.
For the 5 dollarydoos a key will cost from G2A it is worth the gamble. To me if feels like some sort of nice middle ground between a reboot of the original XCom, nuXCom, and aesthetically the UFO series.
When I first heard the title of this way back when I didn't realise it was supposed to be a game, I thought it was going to be a documentary about human trafficking.
Is this game any good? I know some Ganker anons were memeing on it for being chinkshit but on closer inspection, I cant find any obvious flaws in its gameplay. Positive reviews, the artstyle and detail is nice, and the game is pretty cheap to boot
I bought the digital version of this shit for $60, it was the biggest mistake I've ever made. The game is terrible. I played the adventure mode for about 3 hours and stopped before I finished thinking "okay this shit is unplayable let's go to the normal game" and found that there was NOTHING in the normal game. I looked at the main menu in disbelief, it was basically an online game whose only option at launch was friendly matches. For fricking $60.
What a piece of shit.
morons like you are the reason Ninty is still releasing all those low effort cash grab Mario sports spin off at full fricking price. >Mario Tennis Aces >Mario Strikers Battle League >Mario Golf Super Rush
>Mario Strikers Battle League
Its amazing how that game was legit unfinished and buggy on release and Nintendo released it like that and all that big name israelitetubers didn't say a word, fricking hypocrites.
been 10 years since PD2 so they wanted to beat PD3 to market by cloning the game and inserting celebs past their prime as a misguided attempt at an attraction
I tried playing it but the gameplay is so fricking bad
The gameplay is ass and when I tried it nearly 4 years ago, the cutscenes that were one its selling points wouldn't work on my end so there was no point in slogging through this shit
MDK was talked about for a long time after its release on the PC. But I think everyone who played it immediately realized that while it was a fun game, it didn't have what it took to be remembered in the long run. I remember reading magazines at the time that broke down MDK's technology and compared it to Quake and how it was even more advanced in some things, but today Quake is still praised but MDK is barely remembered.
i will never forget this game because it's one of the only ps1 game my dad would ever play alongside skullmonkeys and lucky luke
he got really far in all three but never beat them miss you pops
I remember when I was a kid I went to my friends house and watched him play this and he said MDK stands for >Men Destroyed Kinda
Because even though all men are dead women exist
>Liked it when I saw gameplay in a YT video >Liked it even more when I read the comic >Over the years "updates" became slower >Dev says part of it is because he is working to make the story amazing >As time went on lose interest and forget about it >Remember it one day and decide to check out of curiousity, fully expecting it to be still in dev hell >It acutally came out a year and a half ago >Try it >The story is ass, you can finish it in 2.5 hours
I never played the original. Liked the sequel.
memoryholed
Biggest example of never knowing when to hold back.
i played this game as a small child and i remembered it again 20 years later and i just had to look up gameplay because i remembered it being so psychedelic
another game that stuck to me was Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri
I still love how this goes from a standard police-type game where you are tasked with stopping general crime, talking down suicidal people, and solving homicides and thefts to a full blown supernatural thriller where the main antagonist is revealed to be an 1000 year old warlock hell bent on ending the world right at the turn of the millenium.
I was looking forward to that for ages, but held off on buying it because my rig wouldn't be able to run it. What a disappointment. On the bright side, it led me into Deep Rock Galactic which is fricking great.
you dodged a bullet every update i check back to see if >you can now select any level you want instead of waiting for it rotate since we decided to stop being morons
but nope
It is quite strange to note that even some flash games, amateur RPG Maker games, etc. sometimes stay longer in the popular imagination than some games distributed by big publishers with official marketing campaigns. Sometimes even viral games, like the Stray mentioned above by some anon, disappear completely from the conversation, while you see much smaller things being brought up frequently. I don't really understand the "mechanics" behind this phenomenon, but it's interesting.
Literally survivor bias. The RPGMaker or flash games where the ones who stood out from the oceans of forgettable trash that people can't even bring up from memory. They were top of the crop for those two categories or had some novelty/meme value in it that turned into an organic marketing, in other words, word of mouth. The fact that all these trash games posted here were remembered by their posted and some other anons just means that the marketing campaigns had some effect in regard to awareness, if nothing else, otherwise they'd be no different than flash game #50325090, called "The Precision Shooter" (name pulled out of my ass).
This makes sense. On average, these games with publishers and marketing campaigns stay in people's minds longer than amateur games.
But I still find it fascinating how games that went viral and were loved by millions of people manage to fade from the popular imagination so quickly. But I don't know, maybe people are still talking about Stray or that goose game, but it just so happens that those comments never reached me.
Flash and RPG maker games come out daily by the truckload so it's only a matter of chance for one or two to make it into the public conciousness.
And even then it's a rare occurence, what was the last rpg maker that became a (relatively) big hit? The first one that comes to mind is Omori and it came out in 2020, the current trendy one is fear and hunger and it came out in 2019.
>We have a successful franchise with beloved characters and an established theme and tone >Let's just use the name and nothing else >And the name doesn't even make sense now, either. >Also put urkel in it for some reason
Fricking why
Don't forget to pick up the patch that removes the status changes made by Working Designs.
The game will be much more balanced as the WD motherfrickers, not satisfied with destroying multiple characters (they turned one into a stereotypical pothead surfer for some inexplicable reason), also altered the HP of basically every enemy, making all but one single boss become sponges.
Unfortunately, as far as I know there is no translation patch to make the game more faithful to the original.
from what I can remember as a kid it was quite enjoyable. Watching JoshStrifeHayes review it made me realize just how batshit the actual story was though
Pic related
Not the massively succesfull battle royal game, the original co-op zombie survival game with building elements
I remeber signing up for the beta when it was anounced and after recently replaying Lock's quest I'm 100% convinced it could'vebeen amazing
>"IT PLAYS LIKE GOD HAND"
Normally I wouldn't believe some dev team would have social media guys in here trying to shill their shit, but those threads were so fricking obvious they might as well have been made by feds
>make the best MH clone ever >in a couple of things, does it even better than MH >first reveal actually gets million of views a good amount of hype >completely ruin everything by doing zero marketing, not releasing a demo, paywalling the free trial behind fricking EA access, selling the game at 70$/80€, choosing the busiest release window possible and releasing the game as a fricking technical disaster, genuinely one of the most bugged and unoptimized games since Cyberpunk 2077 >what could have been the start of a genuine rival/alternative for MH is sold at 70% off on Amazon 6 months after release
I'll never NOT be mad at Koei and EA for the fate of this game.
I think the horribly uninspired designs are also one of the biggest things to blame about it. >Literally just a regular animal but it has branches coming out!
Or >Literally just j*panese peasant armor sets for 80% of the game
Didn't help. Also while the weapons are cool gameplay-wise, the only real standout on uniqueness is the damn umbrella. Adding to the lack of biome variety, it's a really generic game when it comes to visual aspects to a point I'm not sure even hardcore weeaboos can say good stuff about it.
I played every MH since gen1 and I can safely say Wild Hearts monsters actually look more unique and the roster is A LOT more varied than World.
Armors I agree, they sucked.
>Wild Hearts monsters actually look more unique and the roster is A LOT more varied than World
no MH fan wants unique and varied monsters though. They're like DQ fans, they want the same monsters, the same weapons, the same moves again and again and again
I didn't say MH was the epitome of monster design you numbnuts, although 3rd gen designs were great and World + IB designs were also nice imo
Honestly my favourite monhun clone designs are mostly from God Hand even though most of those games were shit too but Koei already had better designs themselves, Toukiden had some nice ones
>actually look more unique and the roster is A LOT more varied than World
Not a high bar, and even most of those monsters, other than things like jyratodus, look more interesting than "animal with random branches."
It gets occasionally mentioned though mostly in the furrybait threads. I enjoyed it a lot, one of the first games that sold me on gamepass giving me the ability to just try random shit I wouldn't be confident in enough to buy.
I've already forgotten the name, but that lackluster horror game that came out recently. It was just essentially walking around and doing mundane puzzles. Anyone remember the name?
i recently played the game, it's okay. idk how they tried to sell a 4 hour game for $60. The combat is consistent enough but the endgame enemies just turn it into healthsink bullshit. They also put tom cruise in the game and got away with it.
Does it count as forgotten if it never saw the light of day.
ITQFE was something somewhere between EVE, Star Citizen/Elite: Dangerous, and No Man's Sky.
Except the project started 15, 20~ years ago and was pretty much solely programmed by one dude.
Then it died because obviously it was too much for just one person. I wonder if he would have exploited crowd funding like Star Citizen did, it was basically identical in concept.
It was actually going to replicate our real galaxy as much as possible (stars would have had planets) apart from 10,000 years stellar drift, because the "goal" of the game was actually to find Earth.
This and Dead Space Remake, seriously, so many people were like "OH MY GOD SH RENAISSANCE BROS!" and then after a month nothing, then Tear of the Kingdom came out and boom I hardly see anyone talk about them anymore, not even israelitetube or twitter or forums or even steam making a fussy, and it only became worse with BG3 and soon to be even worse for early games this year with AC6 and SF.

>Silent Hill 2 "remake" coming out this year too
Either be memory holed quickly or be the laughing stock for a decade to come.
I wanted so hard to like this game but I just couldnt. I could never get over how they changed the combat system and that's not even into the counters, which were peak anti-fun.
I understand what they were trying to do since a lot of people shit on turn based combat but all they ended up doing is turning every fight into a lower stakes version of SMT secret bosses,IE puzzles which are dogshit.
I played this for a week or two after launch and haven't touched it since. Player counts are in the bin and no one talks about it except for the doomers on /hg/. Shit campaign.
>brink
I liked it, but I loved dirty bomb. I don't understand why they didn't keep the game alive as people were still playing it and buying boxes until they announce they were killing the game. They shouldn't have removed the server browser and the search and destroy game mode.
And it came out in March. Rather sad too as I feel this game is a 'return to form' of sorts for Platinum. It's highly polished, great voice acting, charming characters, and despite its appearance it's a huge Metroidvania game with lots to explore. Gameplay is sort of a mix between Astral Chain and Bayo but made way easier. In the end it bit Platinum in the ass that they were so dedicated to the Irish folklore that they wanted it to come out on St. Patrick's Day. But it got sandwiched between D4 and REmake 4. I'd be genuinely surprised if it even did over 300k.
Wait, the reboot actually came out? I remember seeing the first announcement back in 2016 or something and had just assumed they just axed it and cut their losses. What's the game like and how'd they frick it up?
Anonymous
Yes, it came out earlier this year
https://store.steampowered.com/app/705040/HAWKEN_REBORN/
It's literally the biggest and nastiest spit on the face of fans >AI generated art (and probably story) >Early access >Cash shop >Graphics unironically look worse than the OG >Instead of team PvP it's now a single player Destiny 2 clone with the promise of "online" somewhere down the line
>people sneeding and farting about optimization
is this another arkham knights meme where turds with weak pcs can't run a game and expect to run unreal engine 5 on their gtx 1050 toaster?
>is actually impressive
There's literally not a single thing that they've delivered so far which isn't an extremely basic feature in basically any 3D game.
What's impressive is how these standard features are implemented in such a shitty manner in this scam that everything is barely held together with glue and duct tape and can break at any moment.
Its a shame, it really does get you feeling like your in space, and instead of building a game around one to maybe two solar systems they want 100 of them and they haven't even completed the first city yet. Its never coming out.
Pic related. Ganker had a few weird threads during three days where a some anons tried to argue that it could be fun or something, then never again lmao
Come to think of it, they were probably the devs kek
>Got a PC release >Runs far better than the Switch version making both the campaign and multiplayer a blast to play >Only a few dedicated autists from /m/ keep the game alive per say
Sad
I just played through it recently, and while fun, it's honestly just too flawed and seemingly rushed. At least if the sequel fixes most of the issue and doesn't just become something else entirely, it should be pretty good.
I always appreciate irony of how game named "Remember me" got forgotten right away.
How can it be forgotten when it gets a thread nearly every week to make this joke?
Yes everyone and their mother has made that joke you unoriginal piece of shit lmao
The obligatory post
memba me? suckah!
Wasn’t the performance of this game real shit? It seemed interesting on the surface.
Dunno how it was on release but it was fine when I played it. Combat is vaguely interesting and she has a good butt, so it's worth playing
It ran well on my 3080ti but it almost melted it because temps were constantly over the 70°c and went to 90°c once. No fps drops, just everything getting very toasty inside my pc.
I bet that would definitely frick over any lower gpu.
Why have people suddenly remembered this game?
I wonder, I saw it posted in a plot-twist thread that got 404
i jerked off to the magazine ads a lot
the ass
I will always remember this game as one of the first games to use physically based rendering. On a fricking PS3.
Genuinely an underrated gem.
Back when DONTNOD actually tried to make games instead of propaganda filled walking sims.
This game represents a time in gaming for me when games were finally starting to come out and it was all generic shit. Even alan wake was a disappointment.
Maybe if the combat wasn't the worst shit ever put before man.
>tomb raider but actually cool instead of a shitty generic forest
I don't get why it flopped
>combat is literally two buttons and you unlock more buttons as you level up
who though this was a good idea? it made the early game mind numbingly boring
Worked for Gravity Rush
at least in GR you had the gravity bending mechanic nearly at the beggining.
here the memories don't play a huge part until some time later.
game's not bad but it made a horrendous first impression.
I remember seeing a preview and thinking it was interesting. Didn’t even realize it came out. It was that bud huh?
It was decent, but not really anything that stood out.
They should have stuck with The Surge 2 type of gameplay/linearity design and story.
It requires absurd system requirements and probably will run like shit.
I pirated this the other day and man the combat kinda sucked. Couldn't get past 3 hours.
at 3 hours you're halfway through, might as well finish it now
Frick, guess I'll redownload it then.
this game looked so buggy and poorly made when I saw it, the intro was especially laughable
sucks because I was interested in this game but after seeing that shit I lost interest
That's what you get when you go Ebin exclusive
Not really, the game is just shit
Hades was ebin exclusive for a year and still was a huge hit when it came to steam since the game is actually good
Yeah, Satisfactory too. Doesn't matter if the game is good.
yeah because hades spent millions for reddit marketing and sponsored streamers
ask me how I can tell you made shit up.
Its a solid game and it was made by Supergiant games
Yeah and supergiant games respected you, their fan and consumer, enough to go to ebin games for the guaranteed profits whether the game sold or not. Great stuff, really inspires me to buy their game instead of just pirating it since Timmy paid upfront for me.
Pretty sure they had it completely in early access in epic games then when it fully came out it was on all platforms. No need to justify you being a Black person anon.
Don't worry, i bought every game of theirs, including Pyre, and wowed never to touch a game of theirs after that Epic games shitshow occurred. You might forgive Phoenix point, Metro Exodus and Hades for bowing to chink CCP spyware, i don't.
>worry about ccp
>on Ganker
>uses steam
>has windows
Lol lmao
Hades got lucky because it was the first, before everyone knew how bad the Epic Game Store was
Hitman 3 also got it good but it also didn't help IO was really testing the Steam fans with their patience and threshold on how shitty they were acting a times.
Nah man, darkest dungeon is good. Finished it two times.
That's the sequel, Darkest Dungeon 2.
These doesnt qualify
It's ridiculous how much FF XVI qualifies.
>darkest dungeon 2 doesn't apply even though the original game has way more people playing it right now
>FFXVI doesn't apply even though sales fell off of a cliff after the first week and the only discussion about the game is when barry has an autism fit while completely ignoring forspoken also being a huge bomb
dd2 is such a disappointment it's unreal
It's like they looked at the things people enjoyed about 1 and said "let's tone these down so we can focus on adding more of the things people don't outright hate about 1 but are just annoyed by"
i hate the entire gameplay philosophy behind the first DD but the artstyle are story were so fricking good that i suffered through it all.
with this? nah man i'm better off just watching a playthrough online
Dumb esl poster
Darkest Dungeon 2 easily qualifies it's practiocally the biggest example. a lot of casuals still dont even know it exists!
I didn't even knew it was released already. How in the frick.
I'll post an easy one.
The discussions certainly winding down. We'll see if people still remember it down the line.
They got like 4 days until AC6 and a week after that until Starfield the shills know what's up
>800k players 6 hours ago
>500k now
>defensive shill comes out tripping and stumbling over himself with his gay numbers
according to plan lmao
Adding "lmao" to the end of your seething diatribe doesn't make you look any less ass hurt.
>upset over an overused joke
anon please
please just fricking stop talking about it
I am tired
At least Elden Ring was a fun game and people were talking about fighting bosses instead of fricking dipshit romances.
>souls slop which has been reduced to being rehashed as badly as sports games
>good
lol
lmao
rofl
better than turn based homosexualry that adapts a tabletop system literally designed to be played by lobotomized normalgays
>zanzitroony accusing anyone of being a normalgay
lol
lmao even
I'm not reading all of that. Imagine seething so hard at Souls you put that entire collage together.
Go get some vitamin D
>dark souls 2 unironically made me trans i think
kek these are baffling and hilarious
>rolling on the floor laughing at a souls game
sounds about right
>Elden Ring was a fun game
obviously never got to the raphael fight, dude sings his own boss music
>such a failure that nobody even cared to aknowledge this in a 123 reply thread
I remember when people were getting hyped for a delisting when it was just like turning a server on or something? I guess I dont actually remember.
I remember posting for months or even a year telling people to stop getting hyped and that the game was going to be shit because it had all the signs, everyone told me I was wrong.
Then the game came out and died so fast I couldn't even say I told you so, because everyone had already forgotten about it.
You're still wrong and moronic
>my life's work is to doom post about games
kys
>we will never get a game this good again
>the absolute travesty that is dbd is the only thing left in this unique genre
I pray for mercy but only receive more pain
I was really enjoying this one. Never thought a small building mechanic would be enough to make the MH formula feel a little newer again
did they still not fix the performance issues?
2023............ I am forgotten................
Built for Gaki wiener.
should have posted picrel
What a stinker.
wo long gay bowser
Nioh 2 is still the BEST action game ever to exist.
I don't know what it is, might be that demon form shit but it just doesn't feel fun to play. I enjoy the first game a lot though. Also thought the zones in 2 were really boring.
I just replayed this. It's good, but I feel like it's really misguided in a lot of places.
I wish that game ran better because it's fricking good
sad part about this game is that is some really well-done aspect. like the music system is fricking excellent, they simplified it from what lotro did, but made it much more worthwhile, and now standing around playing music is JUST for ambiance. fishing, and the gathering professions feel really satisfying.
but then crafting is just a quantity slider and click. then its done. no time, no animation, no minigame, just done.
then the game, in which every inhabitant had to sail there, had no deep water and no swimming. you're surrounded by water.
combat is simplistic but passable, and feels okay when you're not lagging and desyncing left and right.
almost all of the zones look samey and boring, they dont feel naturalistic in any way.
This is a MMO Sega released this decade.
never even heard of it
Nobody cares about PSO2 either because it’s Jap only and sucks
>Jap only
PSO2 has been avaiable in english for at least four years or more.
It got localized officially 3 years ago and fan translated almost a decade ago.
But yeah Base PSO2 is dead because Sega killed all support to push NGS and Hyenas.
>Hyenas
Speaking of games that will be forgotten..
I can't believe Creative Assembly is making that shit.
People will remember it forever as CA's last game.
Sad
I didn't even know what Hyenas was until I looked it up after reading your post. It looks "okay" at best based on a 15 second impression.
this releases today and nobody cares lol
it has denuvo thats why
Never heard of it. I checked the trailer and couldn't finish it. The premise of a magic FPS sounds fine, but goddamn that looks terrible.
the only reason people remember this is because its one of the first unreal engine 5 games thats not fortnite or a indie game.
games with white male leads are pretty raw these days but devs always make sure to feature tons of ugly strong wyaman in those as well that are all written as stronger, smarter and more competent then the white male lead, with him getting rescued, beaten up or told what to do every cut scene
gotta keep them in line
>HEY now not too much fun there pardner, let's get you back to heeding instructions from some sheboon. Verbatim.
everybody is waiting for Starfield right now
Looks awful
woke particle effect fest slop
>EA
Sure I'll play it when it gets cracked.
it looks so utterly generic, I get bored and sleepy just looking at your picture
>denuvo
I was hoping to play this before starfield
back to bg3 I guess
reminder that kirkbirde(of morrotroon fame) wrote this LMAO
>110gb
>rtx 2080 minimum
>EA
>probably like 10 hours long
That will be $70 + tip
>Those requirements
>EA
lmao, I'll just buy Starfield like a normal person
But hey, at least they're not charging $80 for it so that's nice?
>check Ganker archive
>1 singular thread, with 0 reply, trying to bait people by posting a black woman in the game
wow, when your game is so shit even rage bait fails on Ganker, you know you fricked up
not bad the discussions seem to be active
because benchmark channels are shilling it as their ue5 game to bench
It's almost like a market group was hired to act as chuds, just to discredit videogame players.
Weird how this is published by EA and it got zero marketing push
I remember it bc they were trying to drum it up as a spiritual successor to Hexen and everyone hated it
I will forever post images of this game whenever people b***h and moan about indie boomer shooters being unoriginal
A name like this is begging to be ignored
Should have just called it Immortals. The Aveum part ESLs can barely spell.
Probably couldn't
>MAGICUTIONER
>that name
>that cover
>that description
>EA
this 100% feels like one of those weird, random games that you'd rent from blockbuster that seems like it could be cool, but then turns out too be janky and shitty.
Because the graphics are supposed to be the selling point but the game is fricking disgusting to look at. Serious contender for worst art direction of all time.
EA sending it out to die against Starfield as a tax writeoff.
They're smart and releasing it 2 weeks before Starfield, surely people are dumb enough to spend their money now instead of waiting
Wasn’t wild hearts supposed to be the monster Hunter killer what happened?
I seriously thought this game came out next year or was just a teaser
>monster Hunter killer
Maybe you thought that way but the Koei execs only though it would be a reboot of Toukiden with a new coat of paint.
And it's a damn fine game if you can run it. Shame about the optimization.
>what happened
bad performance from what I hear
Would've gotten the game but almost all reviews mentioned performance issues at some point so I'll get it when it goes on a deep sale
The game apparently shits the bed performance wise when you get to the equivalent of High Rank and the map changes.
GOTY right here boys
tomorrow in 9 hours
Game the game
I here nothing but bad stuff about PSO2 I’m not sure if I should even bother at this point
peak westslop art direction
how is this shit so tryhard and so generic at the same time?
They gave Kirkbride a tard amplifier instead of a tard wrangler.
>tells the story of 'Jak
GOTY
Every trailer makes the story and characters look so run of the mill. The only thing slightly interesting about it is the first person magic powers
Hahahhahahahahaahahahhahhhahahahahahahahhaahhahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahhaa
Fricking never gonna sell what the frick were they thinking?
What the frick is wrong with modern devs?
lmao
SIRS, WE STYLE TODAY!
EA, its fricking EA.
No wonder the guy on the left is the one on the cover. This shit would sell even less if any of the others were front and center.
I would love it if this game was good, really. But given that it's EA I doubt that it will play as good as Hexen, much less modern imitators like Amid Evil or Arthurian Legends.
The reveal just looked like creatively dead MCU slop. It looked like if you asked a board of directors to make Avengers without the license.
ITT brain fog
I mostly remember this game for Jerma going full sell out.
Game is active but I never see it discussed on Ganker
>active
>725 players 24 hour peak
lol, lmao even
Main userbase is on Xbox/Windows due to gamepass, Steam (and even worse Playstation) never had big numbers.
since the court leaks we all know nobody plays games on playstation except cod, fifa, gta.
The developers of Slender: The Arrival made a multiplayer FPS, although it arguably can't be forgotten if no one knew about it in the first place.
>double the amount of exosuits in the game
>you have to max rank each suit in order to unlock their variant
t-thanks...
Technically the max suit level is 100 but unlocking them at 20 is fair, you get used to the playstyle and unlock modules which you'll end up using on the variant too.
Sucks for new players but otherwise you'd end up with people running around without modules equipped.
Most of the talk is happening in /vm/
When their are threads up it’s normally people lying about the game so I just went to /vm/
sometimes I wonder if steamies realize they're not the only gamers on the planet lol
>Every dinosaur is making the soi face
somehow reminded me that the Dead by Daylight's new game already came out
Meet Your Maker is a cool game but I can't be assed to keep playing. Was a nice $40 at launch.
I loved greedfall, played through like 5 times but there isnt much to discuss about it. Hopefully 2 is out soon
great setting, not enough enemy types.
I was totally turned off at the realization of the fact that the embassies of different nations looked exactly the same so I stopped playing.
weird I did more of the less the same in the first couple hours for this reason.
Looking back at spider's track record, this being kinda shit isn't really shocking. One of the guys who did a full review of hunt down the freeman did about all of them in separate videos, and damn they suck at designing coherent, engaging gameplay.
It's frustrating because they have such good concepts
Speaking of Spiders
I liked Bound by Flame, but it was laughable in trying to cram Bioware romances in such a short game and the ending section when you literally choose your ending via dialogue (there's even a line "I will ask my companions" for MC lacking any agency) was very anti-climactic. Designs in the game are pretty good though.
I had fun playing through this game but once I got my ending I didn't have much reason to play another.
I couldn't play this because the dialogue zooms into people's faces way too close and it makes me feel uncomfortable lol.
I can't believe it actually fricking released already
I like how EA made a big deal about how they were going to completely revamp the game from top to bottom but ended up abandoning it a few weeks later when they realized how much work it would be.
This was such bullshit. They were baiting fans too like they were going to fix it with a major announcement and then said LOL NOPE
The second the entire town was filled with nothing but brown people and the story revolved around them being oppressed by the bad guys trying to invade them, which happened to be white people. I knew this was going to fricking flop.
Maybe that's the reason the real world is such a flop
Oh. BioWare big empty shit game. I bet Starfield will be similar. Big open garbage. Cool concept. Big nothing.
ah frick you've killed me
With the knowledge that it was a Capcom Online Games project, it undoubtedly would've been shit if it was ever finished
>MMO slop
into the trash it goes
this doesn't count because it never was more than a trailer
Because it never came out.
I don't know what this is. Was it supposed to be a HMOFA? Because I'd pay full fricking price for that on principle alone
wasnt this just concept art without any actual game plan at all?
When exactly did the definition of "furry" change from "someone who pretends to be an animal person" to "anyone who wants to frick an animal person"?
Never because it has always meant "someone interested in anthropomorphic animals".
Anon, you're moronic, or just too young to even know
When furries got kicked off of all the boards and got their own websites everyone forgot how fricking awful the furry fandom was and just started associating it with liking monstergirls with breasts. Zoomers don't even know how fricked in the head furries are because trannies have taken the niche because, unlike furries, so many sites make it impossible to filter them out, and they make everything about them, just like furries did.
at least Bunny Hunter exists
Funniest aspect of balan blunderworld without doubt, even setting aside Naka going to jail for it indirectly, but it will never stop bothering me that the setup for this guy's chapter is that a farmer is butthurt that the elements of nature fricked his farm up, despite every farmer ever working the fields knowing that the very thing he lives off is the same thing that at any time can turn fickle and screw him over, leading to a sigh and subsequent rebuilding.
Maybe he really was intended to be Virgil's foil all along.
balan wonderland will never be forgotten
I have a friend that has like 300 hours on this, always begs me to play it with him.
Four years on and somehow it's still going. I'm still waiting for the supposed Lost Planet deck they teased months ago.
shill comes out tripping and stumbling over himself with his gay numbers
>according to plan lmao
I didn't get to play it because my rig was too shitty when it came out but a year later, I could and this game was way too overhyped. Open world design was terrible, loads of gaols and caves with shitty bosses, so on and so forth. Stormveil and Raya Lucaria were great but it's mostly downhill from there.
i unironically like this one, upgrading weapons felt cool. it's a bad game overall though, rtcw is the goat (and ET), and old blood gets an honorable mention everything else makes me gag
For me, it's the scoped mp43.
I was surprised that singularity is more popular but the idea of a deus ex like hub world could be good if it wasn't so awfully implemented
I miss it
I'm still playing WH from time to time.
This one. Mentioned recently in some thread about playing it and anon was genuinely surprised.
I heard they pointlessly went 3D and it absolutely killed performance
Shattered Horizon?
Angels Fall First?
I don't think so.
It came up when I was desperately looking for it but it didn't sound familiar nor did the videos trip any memory. It also has ground combat which I don't think the game I'm thinking of had, but maybe it was added later.
Too old.
i worked on this game and forget about it until shit pops up in my "memories" on normiebook.
how do you work on a game and forget about it
shitting out assets is just a job
Immortal minds
it's a shame because the game is unironically a hidden gem
game has better graphics, better combat, better world design than BotW but had the most annoying characters and writing i think ive ever seen in a game.
if it had been made to be taken seriously, rather than being presented as a giant goof fest, it would have been received better, zero doubt about it.
Looked like Ubisoft poor attempt to copy Zelda which its ironic because Zelda copied the entire sandbox style from Ubishit
It looked like a breath of the wild ripoff but in gameplay it was closer to Dad of War but honest about the fact it was an ubisoft sandbox. I had a surprisingly nice time with it going in with no expectations.
The title of the game is the problem. It fricked them over hardcore. Way too many syllables, a confusing alternate spelling of a word and since it kinda sounds like a game with a subtitle it'll make the average consumer think it's a sequel to something they never heard of much less played.
Game unironically failed the moment they got cucked out of the name Gods and Monsters
Biggest memoryhole of 2023
im still waiting for the pc port a 11 months from now. what the hell were they thinking taking the sony deal? they would have made more money easily if they did a ps5/xbox/pc release day 1. whatever exclusive money would have been negated.
Investors don't care about long-term profits, they only care about getting money right here, right now.
no hype/discussion because PS5 exclusive. and no one will care a year latter. PS5 exclusive = DOA.
FF16 will be EGS exclusive, it's over.
>what the hell were they thinking taking the sony deal?
Guaranteed big money now > Possible big money later
Definitely threw out their chances to rope in more XIVgays though
Some mentality ill dude still makes posts about this game and yoshi p so it will never be forgotten
>Some mentality ill dude
Barry has been taking his victory lap for the past month and a half
All memes aside, how's the game? I'm waiting for the PC port so I can't try it yet.
I liked it, it’s a 7.5 because a lot of the side quests are meh but I like them because they add lore. The boss fights bump it up to a 9/10
normal mode is very easy, so the battles in your first playthrough will be underwhelming. The eikon fights are peak spectacle porn, might be the best in the industry at this moment. NG+ gives you access to the Hard/Very Hard difficulties, which makes the actual fights much more engaging. By that time you have to slog through the story to get all the fights unlocked again, so it's not for everyone.
Overall I gave it an 8ish out of 10, definitely not worth going out of your way to buy a PS5 for, but if you already have one then it's a must-have.
>you have to slog through the story
Do you mean cutscenes aren't skippable or is there a lot of on-rails walky-talky horseshit?
cutscenes are skippable but they're segmented weirdly so you have to "skip" 2-3 times per scene, and the skip takes just long enough to be annoying. There's also a decent amount of the on-rails stuff, but it's not too overbearing
How do the new difficulties work specifically, I hope it's not a "everyone gets more stats and that's it" kinda deal
max level gets raised from 50-100, enemies get new moves, are more aggressive and minibosses and mixed into regular encounters. It's actually pretty well done.
Damage sponge enemies
Shit quests
Shit story
Boring characters
gays
>stagger gauge and damage numbers everywhere
This arpg style of action game has never appealed to me and it feels like most recent ones all have that style.
>damage sponge
100% unironically a skill issue, your webm being a woman proves it lmao
The frick? Why the frick is this moronic b***h taking so long to kill this, it took like 20 seconds for me to kill it lmao
I hear they're still patching it, so i'll wait for the price to drop
really sucks there's no demo on steam so I could at least see how it runs
>full priced early access
>lmao
Baldurs gate 3 was full priced early access.
you see the difference is that baldur's gate was a good game
Why don't you just play MonHun
I've already played all of the monhuns, and I liked wild hearts gimmick.
MonHun went to shit in the 3ds (4U and GU) and never recovered
World was kinda good but immediately went back to dogshit with Rice
a game killed through lack of optimization
Jagged Alliance 3
I heard the game did get changed a lot through patches after release, how is it now
Damn, nobody actually gave a shit about this game huh
it starting out as an Epic exclusive didn't help. Hard to gain as much traction as a new IP doing that
Unless I'm mistaken it was also one of the first big names to take the deal so there was even more added animosity. Release version being very meh and the ebin deal truly sealed the game's fate
What about the gameplay, this shit has been on my backlog because of the art for months now
the gameplay is mid and the plot is nonexistent
>What about the gameplay, this shit has been on my backlog because of the art for months now
It’s Dead Cells but with worse weapon variety.
Thank you for the in depth answers anon, I appreciate it
Lmao
Remember when Platinum making something was an exciting announcement?
Like twice.
Horizon always felt like a spiritual successor to Enslaved but I wish they did more with the IP, it was kino
When I first heard the title of this way back when I didn't realise it was supposed to be a game, I thought it was going to be a documentary about human trafficking.
>DUDE MATRIX LMAO
what the hell was that ending?
Genuinely good game but the devs never gave it the support it needed and abandoned the game.
Hahaha this game was so fricking bad.
Uhh no it wasn't.
first week with friends was fun as frick
died just as fast
I used to play the shit out of this and it just died. First ever game that felt like that part of enders game
I miss it.
Is this game any good? I know some Ganker anons were memeing on it for being chinkshit but on closer inspection, I cant find any obvious flaws in its gameplay. Positive reviews, the artstyle and detail is nice, and the game is pretty cheap to boot
Nice but unfair/unforgiving. Little to no i-frames on the dodge makes it quite annoying
Sure sounds like skill issues.
Bottom line, yes but those are the major complaints from the steam reviews
This game was dead in like 2 weeks. Deserves to be dead though.
>Mario Tennis Aces
>Mario Strikers Battle League
>Mario Golf Super Rush
Literally none of those games were full price you lying israelite.
>Mario Strikers Battle League
Its amazing how that game was legit unfinished and buggy on release and Nintendo released it like that and all that big name israelitetubers didn't say a word, fricking hypocrites.
Rest in shit
>no guys this time the soulsclone is actually good
couldn't get into it at all, I just hate open-world slop
isn't this related to the Remnant games somehow?
What was the point of this game?
money laundering
God I fricking wish if we had a good mafia themed sandboxy game, that one Godfather 2 game is still great in my eyes
Payday2 clone but with boomer celebrities
been 10 years since PD2 so they wanted to beat PD3 to market by cloning the game and inserting celebs past their prime as a misguided attempt at an attraction
still top charting on ios store and android store. also normies get youtube ads daily for it.
Quantum Break
...CIA?
The one and only
I tried playing it but the gameplay is so fricking bad
The gameplay is ass and when I tried it nearly 4 years ago, the cutscenes that were one its selling points wouldn't work on my end so there was no point in slogging through this shit
I played it years ago, story is just forgettable but gunplay is serviceable. Also, heavy pistol is FN five-seven with 4 rounds? TF
unironic kino including the live action bits
wild hearts was pretty fun but it really needs a sequel to refine things
MDK was talked about for a long time after its release on the PC. But I think everyone who played it immediately realized that while it was a fun game, it didn't have what it took to be remembered in the long run. I remember reading magazines at the time that broke down MDK's technology and compared it to Quake and how it was even more advanced in some things, but today Quake is still praised but MDK is barely remembered.
>but MDK is barely remembered.
i know it's the whole point of this thread.
i will never forget this game because it's one of the only ps1 game my dad would ever play alongside skullmonkeys and lucky luke
he got really far in all three but never beat them
miss you pops
I remember when I was a kid I went to my friends house and watched him play this and he said MDK stands for
>Men Destroyed Kinda
Because even though all men are dead women exist
I thought it was something edgy like Murder Death Kill
>Liked it when I saw gameplay in a YT video
>Liked it even more when I read the comic
>Over the years "updates" became slower
>Dev says part of it is because he is working to make the story amazing
>As time went on lose interest and forget about it
>Remember it one day and decide to check out of curiousity, fully expecting it to be still in dev hell
>It acutally came out a year and a half ago
>Try it
>The story is ass, you can finish it in 2.5 hours
I never played the original. Liked the sequel.
Biggest example of never knowing when to hold back.
>It acutally came out a year and a half ago
no fricking way, I don't believe you
Correction, it came a year and a half from that point in time.
As of now, it has been out for six year.
The work of one who consorts with beasts
It came out in 2017
Ah. The Work Of One Who Consorts With Beasts
this homie got millions from the humble bundle and still shat out a half-finished game. frick him.
When I was a kid my computer didn't render this game properly so it looked like Cruelty Squad. It made it memorable for me at least.
i played this game as a small child and i remembered it again 20 years later and i just had to look up gameplay because i remembered it being so psychedelic
another game that stuck to me was Terra Nova - Strike Force Centauri
memoryholed
Had some neat ideas, I wish the combat was meatier and the game didn't look like some mentally ill pisscord gay's skyrim ENB
Too much jank.
Anyone here played this?
I'm mildly curious to get it, if only for the surreal experience of what appears to be Persona + Yakuza in Indonesia.
I was repulsed by the art
The 3d models and environments look like a horror game while the 2d character art looks like some bisexual itch io VN
>OG Urban Chaos
I still love how this goes from a standard police-type game where you are tasked with stopping general crime, talking down suicidal people, and solving homicides and thefts to a full blown supernatural thriller where the main antagonist is revealed to be an 1000 year old warlock hell bent on ending the world right at the turn of the millenium.
nobody complained about the mc being a black women back then. simpler times.
pic related needed your whole memory card to save iirc. i had to delete my harvest moon and final fantasy saves just to progress but it was still kino
Just think if nier robutts came out today, Ganker would be b***hing that the mc is a woman
Wat?
Why is there more detail in the environment in the old version, including the amount of mountains in the background as opposed to the new version?
you win op
shitskin thread
How's the game, I was thinking of pirating it but I heard the performance was shit
it sucks because the game was actually fun but the performance is abysmal
how do you frick this up you cant even choose your own levels/modifiers for fricks sake what a dumb fricking company
I was looking forward to that for ages, but held off on buying it because my rig wouldn't be able to run it. What a disappointment. On the bright side, it led me into Deep Rock Galactic which is fricking great.
you dodged a bullet every update i check back to see if
>you can now select any level you want instead of waiting for it rotate since we decided to stop being morons
but nope
Check back on Darktide around 2 months from now. Big update is supposed to bring a bunch of subclasses
another transcore
biggest disappointment ever
if you want an actual cat game about survival in the post-apoc, play Rain World.
Quintessential example of what people mean by Soul vs Soulless
Step aside kids posting some real forgotten games
Didn't even know about sequel, wish i could forget the first one
the ending was something else
Bear McCreary did the OST, way better than it should have been for a forgotten game.
>get the jetpack 4h in
>game ends
FRICK YOU
I still use Above The Canopy for space battles in vidya.
Gives me huge Battlestar Galactica vibes imo
That's the idea.
Oh shit I didn't know it was the same composer, rad
BSG was also great even though it got moronic at certain parts tbh
How's the game, though
I wish the series didn't die
same, the first two games I sunk an insane amount of time as a kid and when unlimited rolled around I was in heaven
didn't he scrap this and basically start again from scratch?
>try the demo on my Series X
>720p/unstable 30fps with PS2 tier textures and no AA
>gameplay is just bootleg Monster Hunter
Surprised this one wasnt posted. It is well and truly forgotten.
PREY2 died for this.
And Prey 2 died for Prey 1, I think it's required by some law for Arkane to scrap a highly interesting project at random intervals
So after the modest success of the first """""game""""", Nintendo thinks they can israelite their consooming audience again its sequel?
Huzzah!
>We have a successful franchise with beloved characters and an established theme and tone
>Let's just use the name and nothing else
>And the name doesn't even make sense now, either.
>Also put urkel in it for some reason
Fricking why
i almost forgot but i will replay it soon.
There's no patch because the original game in Japanese already exists.
is this game good?
from what I can remember as a kid it was quite enjoyable.
Isn't it still going? I remember a trailer that had the rock in it, although it could have been a year or 2 ago
Yeah but "could've been amazing" doesn't mean endless amounts of money from lazy licensing.
>co-op zombie survival game with building elements
despite its janky origins 7 Days to Die is now the best by far for this
>now you remember the troony homosexual shilling his channel in this game's threads
really glad I didn't fall victim to the FOMO hypetrain and buy this one
>"IT PLAYS LIKE GOD HAND"
Normally I wouldn't believe some dev team would have social media guys in here trying to shill their shit, but those threads were so fricking obvious they might as well have been made by feds
this one and it's a shame because the graphics were superb
>make the best MH clone ever
>in a couple of things, does it even better than MH
>first reveal actually gets million of views a good amount of hype
>completely ruin everything by doing zero marketing, not releasing a demo, paywalling the free trial behind fricking EA access, selling the game at 70$/80€, choosing the busiest release window possible and releasing the game as a fricking technical disaster, genuinely one of the most bugged and unoptimized games since Cyberpunk 2077
>what could have been the start of a genuine rival/alternative for MH is sold at 70% off on Amazon 6 months after release
I'll never NOT be mad at Koei and EA for the fate of this game.
I think the horribly uninspired designs are also one of the biggest things to blame about it.
>Literally just a regular animal but it has branches coming out!
Or
>Literally just j*panese peasant armor sets for 80% of the game
I haven't forgotten, it's a black hole of boredom in the middle of every speedrun marathon since its release.
>ctrl+f exoprimal

checks out
because it's an imageboard you fricking moron
F
Was this that awesome Ghost in the Shell shooter?
that's not Neotokyo
It's a pretty cool game and I've never seen anyone ever talk about it
I think spoony streamed it once
It gets occasionally mentioned though mostly in the furrybait threads. I enjoyed it a lot, one of the first games that sold me on gamepass giving me the ability to just try random shit I wouldn't be confident in enough to buy.
I've already forgotten the name, but that lackluster horror game that came out recently. It was just essentially walking around and doing mundane puzzles. Anyone remember the name?
Scorn?
You gotta be more specific man.
thats every horror game
i recently played the game, it's okay. idk how they tried to sell a 4 hour game for $60. The combat is consistent enough but the endgame enemies just turn it into healthsink bullshit. They also put tom cruise in the game and got away with it.
That's because this is a spiritual sequel to Devil's Third.
You just reminded me of this. Similar story, one man dev making epic space game. Had a mental break down and cancelled the project.
>SF
I know you're referring to Star Field but I just fricking remembered that Street Fighter 6 came out this year...holy crap.
singleplayer content for that game was so bad, trying to ape Deception's campaign but was far worse
Don't forget about Callisto Protocol which also released this year.
>Silent Hill 2 "remake" coming out this year too
Either be memory holed quickly or be the laughing stock for a decade to come.
That game is not as good as World Iceborn but it shits all over rise sunbreak.
I haven't seen a single person talk about Dead Island 2
I saw some talk within the week it was released and then nothing.
every far cry game 1 day after release.
The only thing I remember about this game is the name.
Here's one that specially hurts me because BD1 and BS both are in my all time favorites list.
Also the new Valkyrie Profile game but that one I didn't play cuz it's just pure generic action instead of VP2's refined gameplay
I still pray that we might still get a remaster or the first game someday; surely it couldn't be impossible to smooth out the 3ds features, right?
I played this for a week or two after launch and haven't touched it since. Player counts are in the bin and no one talks about it except for the doomers on /hg/. Shit campaign.
That and people on youtube either coping, pretending they were never on the 343 bandwagon when they were, or laughing at it.
Better than sifu but at least they didn't waste their cool animations.
Maybe like 3 people here remember this including me.
My first ever major disappointment in vidya.
>brink
I liked it, but I loved dirty bomb. I don't understand why they didn't keep the game alive as people were still playing it and buying boxes until they announce they were killing the game. They shouldn't have removed the server browser and the search and destroy game mode.
just sega doing sega things
Every game with a name ending in "fall" released after Titanfall is forgettable garbage. Prove me wrong.
>is obsolete 1 year after release
goddamn sometimes valve is fricking moronic
L4D2 is a fine enough game, but there are small quirks and atmospheric details that make me wish Valve just kept updating L4D1 instead
same
I unironically enjoyed the feel of L4D over L4D2. L4D2 has a lot more content though of course
This whole series
>People beg Scamco to make remasters
>They say no
Why is that? Reminds me of megaman legends.
Either no interest at times or they don't have the source codes
Hard copies of the game were over a hundred bucks each last o checked.
do they fix the PC port yet?? really want to try it out but fricking stuttering like crazy
>Koei Tecmo
>fixing anything PC related
>koei
>EA
not surprised in the slightest
Still fricking mad and want to kill whoever was in charge of this
Normalgays don't like /m/ech games.
Sad but true
You should see the other characters, its hilarious.
>You should see the other characters, its hilarious.
I highly doubt there can be a character worse than the one you posted
that's still not an excuse to push out this AI-generated, someone's first-year graduation project absolute turd of a game
I had fun playing it.
Are you sure you are not mistaking the pathetic 2023 attempt at a remake with the original 2012 Hawken?
I'm talking about the og hawken
yes, the og hawken was fire, stillborn is an abomination and an insult to god and life itself
Wait, the reboot actually came out? I remember seeing the first announcement back in 2016 or something and had just assumed they just axed it and cut their losses. What's the game like and how'd they frick it up?
Yes, it came out earlier this year
https://store.steampowered.com/app/705040/HAWKEN_REBORN/
It's literally the biggest and nastiest spit on the face of fans
>AI generated art (and probably story)
>Early access
>Cash shop
>Graphics unironically look worse than the OG
>Instead of team PvP it's now a single player Destiny 2 clone with the promise of "online" somewhere down the line
>people sneeding and farting about optimization
is this another arkham knights meme where turds with weak pcs can't run a game and expect to run unreal engine 5 on their gtx 1050 toaster?
You now remember how PC gamers were unironically bragging about this "game" in 2012.
For what is in the "game" is actually impressive, but its not a game, its just a tech demo where you have "fun" fricking around with people.
>is actually impressive
There's literally not a single thing that they've delivered so far which isn't an extremely basic feature in basically any 3D game.
What's impressive is how these standard features are implemented in such a shitty manner in this scam that everything is barely held together with glue and duct tape and can break at any moment.
Its a shame, it really does get you feeling like your in space, and instead of building a game around one to maybe two solar systems they want 100 of them and they haven't even completed the first city yet. Its never coming out.
Easy
I'm not even going to say the name. You will have to guess.
rage 2. really don't know what the frick they were thinking trying to make this shit more like borderlands.
Loved the first one but goddamn this one was cold garbage
Rage 2, I only remember it because the fricking ugly color scheme is etched in my brain in a bad way.
Pic related. Ganker had a few weird threads during three days where a some anons tried to argue that it could be fun or something, then never again lmao
Come to think of it, they were probably the devs kek
Was it too ambitious?
I remember a friend telling me I should drop COD and get this instead because it's uber.
>Got a PC release
>Runs far better than the Switch version making both the campaign and multiplayer a blast to play
>Only a few dedicated autists from /m/ keep the game alive per say
Sad
I made the mistake of getting it on Switch, and I probably should've known better, since I played the demo.
I got this game on Epic. Now I kind of want to try it.
I just played through it recently, and while fun, it's honestly just too flawed and seemingly rushed. At least if the sequel fixes most of the issue and doesn't just become something else entirely, it should be pretty good.
