the best part of this fight and patch is that it is a literal crossover of the series, in the fact that it acknowledges all the other FF worlds as "canon" in their own universe, and that the OG FF1 Warrior of Light is the literal inspiration across time, space and universes for the heroics of the series.
(even in this image, his "team" is the cast of FF4, sans Kain, who he absorbed to become WoL in the first place, hence why he already has dragoon jumps)
I suppose we'll find out that this version of the Warrior of Light was at least somewhat modified by Eldibus's interactions with Azem/WoL time traveling and that we are the inspiration for the concept of the Warrior of Light seeded into the FF Multiverse.

Jack has yet to deviate at all from the FF1 path, we just now know things we did not before.
most notably that he and the "feinds" were pulling their punches and could have killed the WoL and crew pretty easy .
One of the final DLCs is DIFFERENT FUTURE, so who knows
FF1 ends with a different future to the initial infinite timeloops, so even that could still be inline with old canon.
