Like I enjoy the story of genshin, the exploration and viewing things in the world are cool to. But man is it frustrating as frick to do some puzzle and be rewarded with 5 cents. I get why they do it, I completely understand. But the game would be so much more enjoyable if there were rare rewards/variance and it not being an obvious dripfeed to give you just enough primos to roll the dice a few times so that you will feel compelled to buy crystals to do real rolling.
I just want something to play on my phone wile at work. I don't spend any money because I have zero commitment to it. And with this mindset, the games aren't THAT bad.
Yeah, some of them are neat. I haven't played all the popular ones right now so maybe some are more stingy but I really like Genshin Impact and Star Rail. With Genshin you don't have to spend a dime. It just gives you plenty of pulls so you'll have a decent party. You can play it for hundreds of hours and the only time you'll feel like you're being hamstringed for money is if you're doing the most insane endgame stuff anyway. And it's huge. Tons to do. I think it's utterly fantastic. And free.
