I find this really strange because vidya is already an escape, why does one need to layer on more noise, potentially even cutting off the game music or audio entirely, just to play a game? It's acceptable writing or drawing since your ears are underserved and it can prevent distractions but games feed nearly all of your senses, why muddle the experience with gunk?

You don't get invincibility when your shield breaks, it's when your health drops below 30%. But having a fast recharging shield is nice so that you have a buffer to regain health before your invincibility wears off.
