A decent amount, but depends what part. From my experience the highest representation is in Intel guys. Intel has apparently always like this, with the Vietnam era Intel being huge model train artists. Oh and anyone who works in languages. The Defense Language Institute requires autism to keep up with your class load and is the military's high school anime club.
Grunts seem over represented but I'm willing to chalk that up to sheer boredom and lack of embarrassment that comes with that life style.
But these ads aren't targeted towards the military. They're targeted toward people who just really like planes/ships more than the military. People who if they enlisted would be locked in a closet and let out to identify unknown ships with their encyclopedic knowledge

For the life of me I can't understand why no one's stepped to the plate to challenge Gaijin. I play casually because I like early war planes so idgaf about the grind, but every WT player seems to hate WT. Yeah it'll be hard to pry the turbo whales away, but just put out a 60 dollar competitor with a human achievable progression system and cap it from like 1914 to 1945.

First off no one plays naval so who cares, a good deal of event/premiums are just tech tree vehicles with a slight BR tweak or for a different country, and among tech tree vehicles does that even help? AFAIK most people just pick the meta for the BR or something popular. For every thing unique like that jap intercepter that has a 37mm at rank 1 you have 15 Sherman's with slight tweaks to engines and armor.
