What is there to even do in s&box? is it close to being finished?

base game updates? they can totally brick gamemodes but i doubt they'll push many breaking changes after release, right now they still change things around which can make refactoring annoying

might be some copyright problems with that, but with legally distinct stuff i don't see why not, vr is in the game and that can be coded in.
i wouldn't say source 2 is better than any other mainstream engines really, it feels really old in a lot of parts

Star wars RP is still popular on gmod to a degree but if that ends up being the biggest problem in s&box then it will never get more popular then roblox.
it's all up in the air really, but the problem with copyright is that facepunch now hosts all the user content themselves instead of the steam workshop for various reasons, which means they get the dmca's and who would want that

whats the point of garrys mod 2 anyways? the whole point of garrys mod was ease of access to all source engine assets in one client. remove that and you get just get poor mans roblox with generic assets.
