How strong would regular, non archon 5 stars or 4 stars be compared to harbingers? Other than Neuvilette one shotting Cheld, I assume people like Clorinde, Jean, Diluc or Cyno could definitely roast some of them. I'd like to see more regular characters vs harbingers fights.
That depends on the harbinger. Strong regular humans with combat experience could probably take on Childe, but not mystical/godly/supernatural beings like Signora or Arlecchino
Asides from those you listed, I'd also say that Beidou, Shenhe, Wrio and Clorinde could also fight most of the Harbingers pretty comfortably. I'd also say Xiao, Cloud Retainer and Yae, but they're not human either so it's cheating a bit.

I lost something like 7 of the last 9 coinflips since sumeru dropped. I really hope the rest of Genshin isn't like this. Its just depressing to roll when you go to hard pity every time.
She's plenty reliable against bosses. You pop her skill on them, then switch through all your other characters to do your full "rotation" before coming back to her and absorbing her doubled mark. Then you go ham. Every attack lowers her skills cooldown. And if for some reason it is still on cooldown you can instantly reset it with her burst. And she doesn't lose her pyro infusion once she has it if you switch to another character
The only difficult thing about her is she can only heal herself. But her burst takes care of that AND keeps her doing damage and resetting her skill for use. She self sustains. Use a shielder in your party and she's basically invincible
Back after they released Sumeru and stopped playing, luckshitted her with 1 pull. Who should I pair her with? I still have to do all Sumeru and Fontaine tho... My party so far has been Raiden+xq+bouken+cuckzuha

unless you consider using yanfei's burst just for the shield from C4, then switching back to arle
Barbara can work as a healer, but Kokomi is much better and will yield better results with less investment. Barbara's Elemental Skill only heals the On-Fields character whereas Kokomi's heals your entire team. Barbara can heal your entire team with her Burst but if you're aiming for endgame content, those seconds lost anytime you use her Burst can be obnoxious. With Kokomi you don't have to use her Burst ever.
Even if you don't have intentions of tackling endgame content, I really recommend Kokomi over Barbara. She will make your fights more relaxed. With that said, if you want to use Barbara because you like her as a character, then go for it.

I spent 240 Wishes getting her and her signature weapon, so everything about her is very raw to me. I despise her, but I am building her. The Bond artifact sucks so I’ve been grinding Gladiator, and I’ve gotten at least two very good Artifacts. I can tell she’s going to be a good character, but hitting hard pity three times really bothers me.

My guess is rewrites. I have no way to back this up, but it's a bit suspicious to me how utterly irrelevant both she and the House are. You can remove them from the game and Archon Quest and not much would change. This suggests to me that they might have been nore important once, but plans changed and they were no longer important to the plot. Turning Arlecchino into a dindu is probably a quick and dirty way to prevent loose ends.
I suspect somethubg similar happened with Signora. They had plans with her but those plans changed and they needed her out of the way. So they had her appear in Inazuma for no reason and killed her off there. It's really suspicious how Inazuma of all places was where she met her end. We didn't even know she was in Inazuma until then, b***h just appeared out of nowhere for no reason.
They definitely rewrote 'chino, since she was presented as ~le grande puppet master~ before 4.0 and then became a nothingburger as they tried to shove Neuv down everyone's throat. Hell, the Traveler had no real role either. Hopefully with Natlan they've learned a little bit and the MC goes back to being the MC and there's an actual fricking antagonist
You're confusing a type of conflict (man vs. fate/gods) with a type of character (antagonist). "Celestia" is not a character. There was no character in the story who was actively working against the MC (whoever that was) trying to keep Fontaine from suffering its fate. Writing that sort of a story can be interesting but the Genshin team isn't good enough to pull it off. Narzissenkreuz was what the main story should have been.
This was such a good event. One of their best imo. Havent had a good time since the tower defense one. Hope they bring back and make it permanent even if it's just for fun.

Because he was the ONE male character females characters latched onto. That's exactly why 7:3 works. If it's 50/50 then most of the males are going to flop. Female characters sell much more consistently well. Male banners are all or nothing. They'll either be really successful or they'll completely flop so you can't have too many.
None of them are archons, they all lose their powers in the main quest

A lot of gods want to do what's best for humanity. A lot of them totally went off the deep end though, and pretty much destroyed their people. Decarabian, Deshret and Remus all tried to protect and uplift their people in their own way, but their methods proved disastrous.

You're forgetting that HSR has a larger influx of characters, and that all the defensive units are mandatory to some degree, while all the ones in Genshin are relevant due to elemental reactions/comfort/Furina more often.
It's obv they put more effort in genshin characters so it should be harder to get.
Hsr charcters are basically chink tofu dregs that becomes worthless rubble by the next patch.
I really hate how the community brainwashed into thinking HSR's free pulls are considered 'generous'. It's not. The character turnaround is more than Genshin. There are more 5 stars in HSR's current patch than Genshin in the same patch number. If anything, you would mathematically have more of a complete roster in Genshin than HSR. An extra 10 pulls per patch doesn't actually make up the difference from the 'content' you have to miss unless you pay up.

I wouldn't say it's significantly better. It's like a 8-10% difference. It's her best sure but if you're already got Glad with great stats then that is going to be better for a LONG time. Though if you're also rolling for Clorinde then you should farm it since it's her best set too.

Also it takes literally 5 minutes to unlock her ascension boss and weapon mats.
At the current time, only Shenhe and Yae have to do an hours long quest chain to get access to their ascension mats. Not a problem for long time players, but would be terrible for a new player that pulls Yae.

this came across my mind when i was playing the story quest too. i don't think it's gonna specifically involve her flames, but it might involve the crimson moon in some form or fashion. lyney said that all dottore did was give her the direction to take her research so that she could make the potions herself from her flames, which to me would imply that he was already somewhat aware of what her flames could do or has some experience with the crimson moon curse.

My schizo theory: Arlecchino seems to have an ability related to memories, which is part of Irmunsol's domain. Nahida's abilities similarly look very much like using a computer with keystrokes and mouse cursers. I'm guessing the the world is a simulation and Arlecchino is a glitch that has access to Irmunsol.
the endgoal is what matters and the harbingers are just tools to get there, and it seems like most of them accept that. in arlecchino's character stories in her profile pierro makes it very clear to her that she has no place in the future that he and the tsaritsa are creating.

That depends on the harbinger. Strong regular humans with combat experience could probably take on Childe, but not mystical/godly/supernatural beings like Signora or Arlecchino
Asides from those you listed, I'd also say that Beidou, Shenhe, Wrio and Clorinde could also fight most of the Harbingers pretty comfortably. I'd also say Xiao, Cloud Retainer and Yae, but they're not human either so it's cheating a bit.

i pulled her. she is very fun fighting multiple enemies but for fighting single enemies (eg. bosses) she seems not as reliable.
She's plenty reliable against bosses. You pop her skill on them, then switch through all your other characters to do your full "rotation" before coming back to her and absorbing her doubled mark. Then you go ham. Every attack lowers her skills cooldown. And if for some reason it is still on cooldown you can instantly reset it with her burst. And she doesn't lose her pyro infusion once she has it if you switch to another character
The only difficult thing about her is she can only heal herself. But her burst takes care of that AND keeps her doing damage and resetting her skill for use. She self sustains. Use a shielder in your party and she's basically invincible

All of arle's teammates are coming in the next couple of patches. They'll got the bond of life gimmick

Barbara can work as a healer, but Kokomi is much better and will yield better results with less investment. Barbara's Elemental Skill only heals the On-Fields character whereas Kokomi's heals your entire team. Barbara can heal your entire team with her Burst but if you're aiming for endgame content, those seconds lost anytime you use her Burst can be obnoxious. With Kokomi you don't have to use her Burst ever.
Even if you don't have intentions of tackling endgame content, I really recommend Kokomi over Barbara. She will make your fights more relaxed. With that said, if you want to use Barbara because you like her as a character, then go for it.
If you don't want to use Bennett you're going to want someone to keep your team alive, Arle can sustain herself I think but not her teammates. Either Kokomi or Sayu.

WTF was the point of this character
My guess is rewrites. I have no way to back this up, but it's a bit suspicious to me how utterly irrelevant both she and the House are. You can remove them from the game and Archon Quest and not much would change. This suggests to me that they might have been nore important once, but plans changed and they were no longer important to the plot. Turning Arlecchino into a dindu is probably a quick and dirty way to prevent loose ends.
I suspect somethubg similar happened with Signora. They had plans with her but those plans changed and they needed her out of the way. So they had her appear in Inazuma for no reason and killed her off there. It's really suspicious how Inazuma of all places was where she met her end. We didn't even know she was in Inazuma until then, b***h just appeared out of nowhere for no reason.

You're confusing a type of conflict (man vs. fate/gods) with a type of character (antagonist). "Celestia" is not a character. There was no character in the story who was actively working against the MC (whoever that was) trying to keep Fontaine from suffering its fate. Writing that sort of a story can be interesting but the Genshin team isn't good enough to pull it off. Narzissenkreuz was what the main story should have been.

I really hate how the community brainwashed into thinking HSR's free pulls are considered 'generous'. It's not. The character turnaround is more than Genshin. There are more 5 stars in HSR's current patch than Genshin in the same patch number. If anything, you would mathematically have more of a complete roster in Genshin than HSR. An extra 10 pulls per patch doesn't actually make up the difference from the 'content' you have to miss unless you pay up.

My schizo theory: Arlecchino seems to have an ability related to memories, which is part of Irmunsol's domain. Nahida's abilities similarly look very much like using a computer with keystrokes and mouse cursers. I'm guessing the the world is a simulation and Arlecchino is a glitch that has access to Irmunsol.

No, I'm not anywhere near done. I haven't gotten a single good piece in 3 days of farming that stupid domain. I FRICKING HATE ARTIFACTS. How many fricking def% dogshits am I gonna get? What am I supposed to do with my fricking full inventory? I can't use it to upgrade anything since I haven't gotten a singel usable piece nad I can't use it to craft anything since all my characters that use craftable sets are already geared. If I could craft some of the sumeru sets I would but they aren't craftable yet. Honestly artifact farming has been stopping me from pulling characters for a while. I was gonna pull on wanderer to start collecting playable fatui now that we have 3 of them but seeing as how I haven't gotten a single good arlecchino artifact and I haven't farmed his domain at all, it's not worth it. Pass. Next character I'm pulling for is gonna be from natlan unless Clorinde has a really cool kit. Frick this stupid artifact system.
