Which bow should I get for this gay?
The new BP bow or the new crafted one? The new crafted one seems more niche, but the BP bow only increases single target damage. Plus I have a mountain of bow billets due to the bow sucking so I can basically refine it right away versus taking until 4.5 to fully refine the BP bow.
The BP weapons are a scam in general. They only start getting better than 4* craftables at higher refinements, and I can't recommend spending 50 yuros for a single weapon. Both prototype and the new craftable are decent choices, I don't know how the new craftable passive works exactly, if it can be infinitely refreshed with Bennett's Q and Lyney's E, it seems like a decent choice.
new craftable bow is atk% with the higher substat and lower base atk and then +16% character damage (at R1) for 8s after being healed. So lower buff (I think 28% for R1 on bp bow) but affects overall character damage instead of just charged attack damage against a single target (which most of his damage is counted as charged attack damage but he does a lot of AOE) BP bow also has crit rate and once you farm out Lyney's artifact set he basically ramps up to 50% with just that and his ascension stats which doesn't leave much room for incidental crit chance on artifacts or the 8/16% buff in spiral so crit chance is actually a less desirable main stat for him.
My question was about its passive. If a heal procs it, then have the buff for 8 seconds, then you have to proc it again with another heal, or any heal refreshes it having it up for pretty much 100% of the time. Nevertheless a good weapon and I prefer it over the mondstad bow that requires a headshot to proc that the enemy may or may not have.

I forgot to consider how insignificant crit chance weapons are for Lyney, you are right. 5% base chance, 19% from his ascencions, 36% from the artifact 4piece takes us to 60%. Even on average artifacts where you have 1 crit chance stat and zero rolls go to that stat, you still get +15% crit chance, 3% per artifact. No one in their right mind would waste a crit chance weapon on a character with 75% chance, let alone spend 50 yuros for one lol.
All the battle pass weapons except serpent spine, deathmatch and MAYBE black sword are bad (for the literal price you pay for them). Don't know about the new ones

there are two problems, one is no powercreep, the other is they only seem to want to release homos, since nahida in 3.2 nearly a year ago there as not been ONE SINGLE 5* LIMITED FEMALE released. not one. dehya is standard shitter and does not count. the next 2 banners in 4.1 are also homos. we have had a solid year of males.

I'm going to say something that is going to immediately trigger your cope response, but I need you to listen to the words I say and turn off your /gig/ for a quarter of a second a hear it. the abyss has been getting harder every patch for a year, and there have been zero to maybe ~5% player-side powercreep across all progression methods from characters to weapons to artifacts for that same year's span. objectively, the proper way to handle game progression from a dev standpoint is to powercreep content at a moderate speed and powercreep characters at a staggered rate close to equal to that content powercreep. again, the playerside powercreep is around 0-5%. the ABYSS side powercreep is around 30-50%. this is not acceptable.

It wasn't a power jump, it was an alternative way to play that made a lot of old characters a lot more viable
Dendro teams tend to have a much lower entry cost than other teams for similar amounts of damage, but the tradeoff is that they have a lower damage ceiling as well, though their damage is more than enough to clear all Abyss content

Hyperbloom is a very strong alternative to something like Rational, but I'd say they're both equally as strong with their own strength and weaknesses

there is no deeper meaning, they are just shit at balancing. to put it plainly, the damage comp powercreep for top end barely changed at all, what changed was the damage floor for unfunded people without C3R1 and meta comps, dendro raised the floor of damage tremendously but barely raised the top end, and the top end was not raised by hyperbloom, it was raised by aggravate. once more, AFTER 3.2 there has not been a single player-side DPS increase while the enemy side creep has increased, OBSERVABLY, simply by looking at their HP pools, and HP pools are NOT the only factor, tons of other shit about enemies have gotten significantly harder, but HP pools are objective and observable increases that you cannot futz the number on or "outskill".

I'm beginning to think the decision to make sumeru so bloated (presumably to pad hours-played numbers) has backfired horribly and now the game is losing players because people are permanently burned out after the Sumeru dialog slog.
Its kind of sad because the writing in Fontaine is way more focused, i would guess it's at least 25% less bloated compared to Sumeru, so they're clearly aware it was a problem. It just goes to show that making the player choose between listening to dialog for 20 minutes or clicking non-stop for 15 minutes when its already clear they are bored is a very very bad design decision.
Sumeru was a mistake in so many ways.

Main quest locks you out of critical shit like weekly bosses and events if you don't do them. Jeht's questline literally locked you out of dungeons and ruins so they backpedaled on that. There's a tiny note in hydro MC and the Lyney/Lynette elemental skill description, but I agree with you. Genshin mechanics are convoluted, but not complex, and the tutorial/skill descriptions are fricking awful. I can't tell if it's just garbage English translation or if it's like this in all versions.
The tutorials are akin to descriptions of effects in trading card games where where you fricking have to break down every word to figure out what actually happens in every specific situation. Though it doesn't matter when people just spam skills and abilities anyway.

There are numerous tutorials that pop up that explicitly tell you "Fontaine characters are aligned with Ousia/Pneuma", "there are big glowy orbs you can pick up that align you with Ousia/Pneuma", etc.

4 stars have always universally bad or mediocre in gacha games, Genshin was probably the first game that I can think off where they released some downright broken 4 star characters at launch. They obviously don't want to repeat that mistake again and distract the whales and low spenders from chasing after those precious llmited 5 star characters.
They've been releasing some decent/usable 4* characters the problem is half their kit is locked behind constellations and we all know how rigged those banners are. They clearly know which characters players want (Layla, Faruzan) and which they don't (Xinyan, Chong, Razor) to they stack the odds pretty hard to force rolling.

There's only one reason they would ever make an archon turn out to be fake, and that's if the character somehow bombs horribly and they need to quickly swap them out for a new character and say "actually THIS was the real archon, please roll for them!".
They would never make it a plot point because they actually care about giving the story a twist, it's all profit driven. Furina is clearly a hit with the player base so there's no reason to swap her. And given designing appealing anime characters is basically down to a science, it's highly unlikely they could ever somehow release an archon character that fails to appeal to enough people to require a retcon.
