Her being dead means nothing. Xiangling is canonically at her restaurant and not traveling with you even if you own her. They even specifically have Aether and Paimon talk about going to her restaurant to ask her if they can use her stove to check which jade cut was real and then a side quest also mentions it. Childe isn't on our side but he's playable. CEO of Geo can't even use his Geo powers anymore since they talk about him being unable to make Mora anymore but he's still in your party using magic.

You can really tell a character's fate based on whether their build can actually work under established character frame works.
In particular, the giant mecha in the top hat has no chance of surviving unless it turns out there's a cute girl inside piloting it or something.

The entire reason the Harbingers are a big deal is because they're so powerful that no one wants to mess with them. If the Traveler keeps humiliating them over and over, their reputation's gonna take a massive dive and things will start getting harder for them.

Considering no one but Traveler can stand up to them I doubt it's that big of a hit. They already have multiple Archons under their belt, Traveler is the sole exception and in Liyue's case he had to literally have the backing of every single Archon to save Liyue.

Depends on your definition of "region". You are obviously only counting Mondstadt, Liyue and Inazuma. But it would be pretty reasonable to count Enkanomiya and the Chasm (underground). More charitably you might count dragonspine as well
As for number 7, they could either be counting the temporary version of Golden Island Archipelago from last year, or the new version coming next patch I think is supposed to be permanent. That or maybe the Serenetea Pot though that doesn't actually make any sense.
I count regions as areas with their own statue of the seven/archon.
Liyue compass still works in the Chasm, and Inazuma for Enkanomiya (forgot if Mond works in Dspine).
It's a strict definition I hold, but others are free to use their own.
I use kb+m because I never really got into controllers, use whatever you're more comfy with.

Yes. It's 6 regions right now (Mondstadt, Liyue, Inazuma, Dragonspine, Chasm, Enkonomiya). Chasm and Enkonomiya will be annoying if you don't have decent DPS but you can still do fine.

Whaling is not even worth it. You'd genuinely have to dump $200ish per 5* character you want if you're unlucky, $100ish if you aren't. Just save your primos from the events and if you really want to spend money just spend the $5 for a Welkin since it earns you roughly 17 pulls on top of everything else a month.
Using traveler as your main character is how the game meant to be played if you want full immersion experience
Look, I love Lumine, I really do, but her damage is way too piss. Things would take way too goddamn long if I used her. And before you tell me that Electro Traveler is a good battery, I do have Raiden so that's not exactly an issue.
I wish the combat had less of a focus on elemental weaknesses because I love anemo Loom, she's my favorite character both in looks and skills, but if I'm using her, and I'm using Sayu for movement, even though anemo resonance is a nice bonus, I only have two other slots left and it's annoying to do anything because the game loves to throw out enemies like Fatui where if you have the wrong element loadout you're in for a bad time, and anemo is not a useful element in most cases.
Thing is Loom is pretty weak so even without elemental weaknesses and shit, it would still take forever for her to kill most things.

What's the point of having this quest last for actual real-life days instead of using in-game days?
This quest was released with Inazuma so they didn't want players to beat it in an entire day. They did the same thing for the cat quest as well.
Lately I've decided to max out all my 4-star weapons so I've been constantly using my stamina to forge mats in order to speed the process up. It's taking a lot longer than I thought it would, I'm constantly low on materials.

Yes and it existed, this is why I'm a bit interested. When I play games I like to hunt for those. From what I've just read there are also World Quests specifically tailored to that end. Unless there are timed-events or something.
most mmo fetch quests are pernament, the ones that would actually add something to the story are timed. Scarashit has shown up 3 times for less than 15 minutes of total screentime, and two of those are in events deleted long ago

Spoiler alert, people will always pick strong/ optimal in a fighting game because people want to win. That doesn't prevent you from picking non optimal or top tier characters because at anything besides high level competition you can still win with any character in a fighting game.
Also damage isn't the only thing that matters in a fighting game, there are multiple win conditions and if they used the mixture of elements in a fun way with freezing people, or stunning them with water electro. Not just vaping for bursts of damage.

I can easily see it as a 3v3 tag fighter. Freeze would probably be OP so it'd have to be more or a 'slow' than an actual freeze. But you can even add elemental resonance for team building.
It doesn't even have to be 3v3 since you really only need to mix two elements. I'm just imagine a team with a dendro and a pyro so you can just keep a burning status on your opponents the entire time.

Should I roll for Klee? The only kitted pyro I have is Xiangling. Amber and Yanfei require a lot of investment to upgrade, but not sure it's worth the trouble compared to a 5-star.
I've been using Yanfei as of late with Yelan, Sayu and Xinqu and it's been a really fun team.
If you like Klee, roll for Klee. Simple as.
As much as I love Klee I can't recommend rolling for her from gameplay perspective alone. She's clunky, her damage is meh and her burst is un-vapeable garbage that doesn't even stay when she switches out.

Compared to other catalyst users though she can be kinda clunky unless you animation cancel, and while Yanfei is nowhere as strong as the other pyro characters she's a lot easier, and arguably more fun, to play. That being said if you like her then you should just roll.
The other option is to wait for Yoimiya's banner next.
Like others have said, she's clunky but fun. You'll constantly run out of stamina with her in combat, but it's fun to make things go boom. I already have her at C1 and at this point I'm going for C2 and stopping there because it shreds enemy defense by 23%.

i play klee a lot since shes my main pyro applier, but shes really klunky, i like her bomb attack and skill, but burst is fricking shit and useless, its cast time has to be cut in half since now its only good for dodhing big attacks since it fricks up your elemental reactions

Characters can counter one another, not every matchup is the same, the moment you introduce reactions, they will remain a consistent, unchanging regardless of matchup. Think of it like this, Melt/Vape would be Lab Coat 21 of this theoritical game, so you might as well give up playing the game without the "I win" button it offers, because everyone else uses it to win, and the game gets dominated by 2-3 characters

I'm kind of done with Genshin at this point, my account is fricking broken, I've got a C6 Ayaka and a C5 Raiden and a bunch of other shit.
The game isn't balanced around it and probably never can be, nothing in the game is remotely challenging for me at this point.
I stopped logging in for resin spending because all my important characters are level 90 with 10/10/10 talents (or higher).

To be fair, you're not wrong, I had expected the game balance to be awful from the start. Eventually every account will be like mine if people play for long enough, but Mihoyo can never balance around it without alienating new players, and the difference in time to reach that point is literally years.

Just do what I do and roll till you get the 5 star and then keep saving for the next one that interests you.

But even if you aren't diligently saving up, understand that just by enjoying and playing the game you'll cause your account to accrue value over time. Given enough time you will surely take over the difficulty balance of the game and leave it in the dust at some point.
I don't know if this would be fixed by higher world levels or what but the game is not addressing this issue at all.
They know how to do powercreep lookng at Honkai so it's something they can solve by making more difficult challenge arenas or more abyss floors, but so far all they've done was veeeery slightly increased event and overworld difficulty. Which they recently went back on lol. Maybe 3.0 will do the same thing again but day 1 players, like you say, are basically gods at this point.

I had more than 100,000 primogems and a bunch of hard fates saved up by the time Ayaka released because that was a whole year of waiting.
Got Raiden to C2 on her first banner then C5 on the rerun.
I also have every female five star except Yoimiya, I just couldn't pull for her due to the timing being close to Ayaka, but aside from that never had any issue getting them all.
I've never rolled on a male 5 star banner.
You have to remember that constellations just exist to get players to open their wallets, but the reality is that most of the game isn't actually balanced around constellations to begin with. If the game were balanced around constellations, then this game would be a lot more expensive to play.
Balance-wise, Genshin isn't exactly a "play-to-win" game. In the majority of circumstances, constellations and weapon banner weapons are pretty extraneous.
Balance-wise I'm pretty sure that even talking about C0 the game isn't designed to assuming level 90 10/10/10 units with good artifacts.
I mean yeah. Most of that stuff is for the Abyss. Those things help a lot with the Abyss, and depending on the team you're using it might even be necessary. But constellations are usually not really important for most 5-stars. Maybe the weaker ones like Shenhe since they need all the fricking help they can get.
Floor 12 abyss is balanced around a VERY low spec, like c0 4 stars with moronic stat spreads. It's actually easy to use complete garbage to complete abyss with 9 stars if you just play well.
I doubt it, F12 require some investment on character levels, talent, weapon and artifacts.
But I do agree it's doable even without very strong characters.
Otherwise you will need a lot of luck and skill to clear it with truly underpowered 4*s.

I used all of mine and got the main stats I needed but all had trash substats.
I legit only use my resin on farming bosses when a new character comes out. Fighting the bosses is the worst part and you should not force yourself to do that for a week.

A part of the narrative beat for this game is exploring the nations to figure stuff for yourself and learn more about those places, so it's not filler. It's just not as big as the massive (but obvious) reveal about the fall of Khaerni'ah
New region means new areas and a new archon to drum up interest. 2.8 just recycles last year's area with some new stuff while only adding a new 4* and some lazy costumes. And it doesn't help that Sumeru got leaked early
