Because Klee herself is sort of situational as a character and if you tried her out in the few story missions she's playable you'd see why her kit is all over the place. Pair this with the fact that Kazuha is like #1 in terms of team composition and fits almost anywhere on any team while providing some ridiculous Swirl capabilities and damage paired with an incredible E and Q and you can understand why people want him. He can also double-jump on command, elongate your height on flights, and get to places way easier or recover very easily when in overworld exploration.
Because she's a Diluc side grade in terms of power, And I do mean that if you're willing to learn dragon strike comps with Diluc, falls pretty far behind charcters like hutao, and probably that fire archer girl. That and most of the people that would want her have already gotten her since she was the second banner charcter.
If she is, it's just barely. Not sure about Yoi but abusing dragon strike really pushes Diluc up. Of course, all of them are just shit on by hutao. They point is anyone wanting to roll for meta is'nt gong to go for klee at this point.
Oh, and for our cute and funny brethren, their's another one right around the corner, a couple actually, so Klee got some competition in that aspect too.

Understandable. I thought Sumeru was going to be a desert location mainly but apparently the desert region is where Cyno will reside. And the forest chunk of the area is where the majority of the characters hail from. I think they created Tighnari as an excuse to watch over Collie and as a guide into Sumeru. It's part why I hope he won't be too boring.
Tighnari is going to be Sumeru's Kazuha and will somehow be some game breaking character that gets 500 pieces of lore about him. I will skip him and roll for the first cute girl that appeals to me instead.

The Amos Bow will always be the best for her because of a weird interaction with the bow's passive and her Frosflake Bloom, but I don't doubt that this new one will be decent enough. That said I think TP and Polar Star are still better considering their versatility.

Damn it. The only character from Sumeru I care about so far then is the archon. I've been consistently burnt too hard to put rolls for 4*s unless it lines up.
If you've played Breath of the Wild you have a decent idea of how the exploratory aspect of the game is. The Korok Seed-esque puzzles are far more varied, Shrines aren't really a thing, there's a lot of random stuff in the world to find, tons of unmarked things, tons of equipment, and so on. The combat aspect is more like bouncing around characters trying to take advantage of their special moves to do elemental damage combos.
If I started today, how long would it take to unlock interesting characters (Fischl, Mona, Kokomi, Barbara, Hu Tao) without paying?
Also, is it true that you can still use the uncensored outfits?

If you want her from this event you're going to have to start pretty much right now. You need to get to the start of Inazuma which is at least two if not three weeks of playing and then Mona's story which is around an hour. Then you need to do the entire storyline of the event to unlock stuff to get the shell things you need (Which includes fighting some gauntlets of enemies but you can co-op it and get carried) along with finding the shells in the map for her new outfit which could take you a couple days.
Mihoyo has a map on their website so once you unlock the event you can just check there to find the shells for Fischls outfit. Take your time with everything, the event runs until the end of this version, so 5 more weeks.
If you were playing before the new outfits came, you can swap them in the Character menu. Note that this won't affect how they look in cutscenes and you can't do this in Chinese servers (they instead got 1200 Primogems as compensation).
It's RNG, so it could take you any time between one day and one year depending on how much time and effort you're investing in the game, how lucky you get and what banners are coming out. Fischl is free during the current event so if you make a mad rush through the game you might be able to get her in time. As for old outfits, I don't know if people who start the game now would still get them, but we do indeed keep them as skins.

Freeze solves a lot of issues people have with some abyss enemies where they won't stop moving around. If ungabungaing with Eula and superconduct is better for you then don't worry about it.
how the frick do you clear 12-3-2 with ayaka team? i had the same comp and i couldn't get it under 7min for shit, the moronic serpent would just teleport away from my ult but even if i manage to land it i got pathetic damage compared to one eula burst

This applies to every other DPS in the game, every single DPS needs 3 other characters to do any damage. You do damage based on reactions, which requires more than 1 character. What the frick even is this post? Ayaka is still the strongest character in the game, once she's built right she's OP and no one else comes close. The problem is she requires a little more investment than other characters so people prefer to stick to ones that don't require RNG, are free characters or have minimal effort builds like Xiangling. The problem here isn't Ayaka, it's you for being bad at the game

Every 5* character can be OP, if you're willing to pay for a good weapon and spend months farming perfect artifacts.

It's things like this that irks me. They won't spend extra on good writers, no matter how many months, now extending to years. They just refuse to care about how the writing is the same boring shit from when the game first released.
I dunno if I'd say he's one of the better ones since his actual personality is kind of dry, but they did give him some backstory and explore his character a bit. He also isn't totally defined by some gimmick as compared to some like Fischl or Xinyan.
Hangout are fine by me. At the very least It's something optional. Better world quest would be neat too.
But puzzle shit needs to fricking go. It's pointless and the puzzels are nothing but a fricking drag. For an example the ones in the Manor are so fricking pointless. Played the game on release and my favorite character was that electric wolf stand guy because he reminded me of Shiryu.
After completing everything on the launch week there was nothing to do other then walk around killing random enemies while waiting for a update since farming is timegated in a much worse way then Granblue.
Also, what is up with the designs? They all look like they have the same concept in mind. Where are the characters wearing big badass armor?

Is there a website with decent stat lineups to aim for for your characters? I know they'll give you stat priorities but I mean specific values to aim for that are "good enough".

Levels matter for anybody who wants to do reaction damage. EM scales hard with levels and particularly Swirl based characters should be at lvl 90.
I love him so much, I really hope I can get him to c2 before the banner ends.

She's a fun and friendly character who gets along with everyone. She would stand out if it weren't for the fact that 90% of the playable characters in Genshin are fun and friendly characters who get along with everyone.
The fact she DOES get along with everybody bothers me. Her backstory suggests that she's socially awkward and has trouble making friends, which would have been way more interesting as a contrast to her liveliness. The way she actually acts with everybody feels on point to how she should/wants to, but only once she's really familiar with them. The fact she just instantly gets along with everybody all-chipper like with no issues is what kills her for me. She's supposed to be a cute dorky DIY rocker girl GF who's bad at expressing her feelings socially but great at doing it on stage.
She's not bad at expressing herself socially. Her environment is bad at accepting. Whenever she's around people who aren't assuming things about her she's just fine.
Perhaps, but that's why she's boring. There's no real chemistry like her being a bit more friendly than what's normal and people being offput by it. I'll admit that she's better now than the first event she was in where she went "HEY THIS REMINDS ME OF ROCK AND ROLL" every 5 minutes though.

Sad truth is that the game is made for normies in mind. And most of them don't really care about characters having any sort of depth, in fact, try to show an actual deep character to your regular normie and they'll probably fail to understand and even dislike said character. So, to make it as safe, sterile and marketable as possible, every single playable character is either a pure good boy who's friends with everyone or a tragic martyr who was forced to do bad things but they're good inside. The grayest character I can think of is maybe Tartaglia but they are clearly trying to paint him solely as a good man who loves his family, disregarding the awful things he made like being ok with wiping out an entire city which probably had thousands of children the same age as his dear siblings.
Yeah the amount of actually decent characters is small. I like Xiao a lot but Genshin suffers from a lot of "smug character who can do no wrong" types like Yae who just fall pretty flat.
Then you have the other end of the spectrum where characters are just one-note or overly boring like Sayu and Ganyu. Klee is hard to hate, and Itto is good too.

I don't think they need to be deep or anything but with some it feels like the core of their character is defined by a certain trait. Like compare Xiangling to Beidou, who are a cook and a pirate respectively, but while Xiangling feels defined by being a cook ala food Beidou's occupation doesn't define every aspect of her character or her interactions with the world.
Also I remember how quick Childegays would be to shit on Raiden for the whole Vision Hunt Decree thing. Still gets me.
But they seem to be acknologing the starter characters at least with Keaya and Amber with 3.0 since the green girl is connected to amber and the other guy is Keaya's dad. We might see something related to her.

For all the shit Hoyoverse pulls, they actually did something good for once and allowed you to fricking REPLAY the dungeons. Missed a chest in one of those one-time dungeons while doing a character Quest? Well too fricking bad, it's gone forever.
Also, the interactive map let's you keep track of chests and puzzles. If you can spare the extra minutes, I advise you to play with it at all times so you can have the security you claimed every possible Primogem.

Supposedly Mihoyo is working on triple element reactions.
It's not really a triple reaction, you spawn mushrooms with dendro + hydro and then the mushrooms do a different thing depending on if you hit it with pyro, hydro, electro, or nothing. And electro/pyro react with dendro on enemies at the same time.

Been doing that with Jean for almost 2 years now. It even lets me aim it. In fact, it even lets me make something take fall damage twice when paired with her CA.
Don't tell them you can vacuum mobs up, raise them in the air and then move them around or throw them in water if their backs aren't to any body of water. Their heads might explode.
Absolutely don't tell them about juggling and the massive fall dmg you can inflict on mobs by throwing them up in the air and stunlocking them. And on top of that she can heal and dispel debuffs while also doing tons of damage. They're only enamored with this kung fu boy because he's a new character and he's male.
Every single boss introduced lately had at least of of those "moments of invincibility that are there for the sole purpose of annoying the shit out of the player" (Signora had the tornado things and super Raiden had that Electro aura segment that hugely reduces taken damage).

When you show me a clear that doesn't use artifacts, I'll admit that they're not 100% integral; to the end game experience, and that intertwines it with a shit rng loot system.
I'll even give you a freebie, here's someone who did it in 2.6 solely because the domain blessing did most of the damage for them.
tl;dr your characters are literally unusable in 90% plus of content if you don't spend a couple thousand resin to farm a decent set for them, or dump your wallet/luckchad into constellations or prfs.
Game's end game is entirely designed to milk lucklets and whales dry. It's shit. Stop defending shit.

It's not about needing perfect rolls, it's about the complete lack of protection for even okay sets.
You can spend an entire month doing nothing but artifacts every day and theoretically walk out with jack shit that's useful. That's a hideous upgrade system.
It's why I spent all of my resin on talents for characters I'll never use, because at least that's some guaranteed amount of forward progress.
Gear RNG is a shit system that gets exacerbated by games with limited attempts/time. If genshin offered any sort of protection/ ability to craft gear as you want, I'd have no issues no matter how large the time sink.
Unfortunately, it's the main way they get whales to interact with the game more than once every 2 months, so it's not going to change.

I don't really have any artifacts to feed them to, because all I find is trash. The other option is to convert them into Noblesse Oblige, but I only need so many pieces of that shit.
Being able to covert them into the artifact exp material would be nice, but for some reason they don't want to do that.

keyword "theoretically" as I farm for like 3-4 days for a new character if I don't already have a budget set like gladiators or something to throw on them, and they work perfectly fine.
I agree though rng gearing is shit, and I've pretty much been doing bosses and talent domains, I'm working to upgrade everyone as much as possible since it's all permanent boosts.
The rng gearing shit is certainly just so addicts and whaletards can do something between updates and artifact rng certainly won't be made better as that's just asking to kill the game faster

I actually did the artifact grind. A lot. So I often run out of inventory space and there is currently no way to easily get rid of my mountain of unwanted 5* artifacts.
I don't really have any artifacts to feed them to, because all I find is trash. The other option is to convert them into Noblesse Oblige, but I only need so many pieces of that shit.
Being able to covert them into the artifact exp material would be nice, but for some reason they don't want to do that.
My issue is I've been clearing bosses and never doing the grind so I constantly have 1500 in my inventory since I never level anything up. I'll always just dump into some nice looking berserker piece and call it a day when I cap (usually once a month).

Why so little people pull for Klee?
Because Klee herself is sort of situational as a character and if you tried her out in the few story missions she's playable you'd see why her kit is all over the place. Pair this with the fact that Kazuha is like #1 in terms of team composition and fits almost anywhere on any team while providing some ridiculous Swirl capabilities and damage paired with an incredible E and Q and you can understand why people want him. He can also double-jump on command, elongate your height on flights, and get to places way easier or recover very easily when in overworld exploration.
Because she's a Diluc side grade in terms of power, And I do mean that if you're willing to learn dragon strike comps with Diluc, falls pretty far behind charcters like hutao, and probably that fire archer girl. That and most of the people that would want her have already gotten her since she was the second banner charcter.

And the forest chunk of the area is where the majority of the characters hail from. I think they created Tighnari as an excuse to watch over Collie and as a guide into Sumeru. It's part why I hope he won't be too boring.
Tighnari is going to be Sumeru's Kazuha and will somehow be some game breaking character that gets 500 pieces of lore about him. I will skip him and roll for the first cute girl that appeals to me instead.

The Amos Bow will always be the best for her because of a weird interaction with the bow's passive and her Frosflake Bloom, but I don't doubt that this new one will be decent enough. That said I think TP and Polar Star are still better considering their versatility.
For me it's mostly that the way they do male characters has become too predictable. I'll probably spare rolls when they start putting out the harbingers though as the fatui are still cool enough.

If you've played Breath of the Wild you have a decent idea of how the exploratory aspect of the game is. The Korok Seed-esque puzzles are far more varied, Shrines aren't really a thing, there's a lot of random stuff in the world to find, tons of unmarked things, tons of equipment, and so on. The combat aspect is more like bouncing around characters trying to take advantage of their special moves to do elemental damage combos.

If you want her from this event you're going to have to start pretty much right now. You need to get to the start of Inazuma which is at least two if not three weeks of playing and then Mona's story which is around an hour. Then you need to do the entire storyline of the event to unlock stuff to get the shell things you need (Which includes fighting some gauntlets of enemies but you can co-op it and get carried) along with finding the shells in the map for her new outfit which could take you a couple days.

Mihoyo has a map on their website so once you unlock the event you can just check there to find the shells for Fischls outfit. Take your time with everything, the event runs until the end of this version, so 5 more weeks.

If you were playing before the new outfits came, you can swap them in the Character menu. Note that this won't affect how they look in cutscenes and you can't do this in Chinese servers (they instead got 1200 Primogems as compensation).

It's RNG, so it could take you any time between one day and one year depending on how much time and effort you're investing in the game, how lucky you get and what banners are coming out. Fischl is free during the current event so if you make a mad rush through the game you might be able to get her in time. As for old outfits, I don't know if people who start the game now would still get them, but we do indeed keep them as skins.

What the frick even is this post? Ayaka is still the strongest character in the game, once she's built right she's OP and no one else comes close. The problem is she requires a little more investment than other characters so people prefer to stick to ones that don't require RNG, are free characters or have minimal effort builds like Xiangling. The problem here isn't Ayaka, it's you for being bad at the game

well there's your answer. You don't need to be super optimal, they don't balance the game around whales. Just get a team together that works and you find fun.
The most annoying thing you'll encounter is getting artifacts but you should focus on one character at a time to build, don't spread it out.

Zhongli is the most expendable part of Geo, he just makes it braindead. You can run anyone as your fourth slot.
Isn't the Geo comp Gorou/Albedo/Zhongli and either Itto or C6 Noelle? The only outright worthless Geo character is Ningguang.

Only reason you need zhongi is to not talk any damage when you unga buga, you already have the team needed for itto.
Levels matter for anybody who wants to do reaction damage. EM scales hard with levels and particularly Swirl based characters should be at lvl 90.

She's a fun and friendly character who gets along with everyone. She would stand out if it weren't for the fact that 90% of the playable characters in Genshin are fun and friendly characters who get along with everyone.
The fact she DOES get along with everybody bothers me. Her backstory suggests that she's socially awkward and has trouble making friends, which would have been way more interesting as a contrast to her liveliness. The way she actually acts with everybody feels on point to how she should/wants to, but only once she's really familiar with them. The fact she just instantly gets along with everybody all-chipper like with no issues is what kills her for me. She's supposed to be a cute dorky DIY rocker girl GF who's bad at expressing her feelings socially but great at doing it on stage.
She's not bad at expressing herself socially. Her environment is bad at accepting. Whenever she's around people who aren't assuming things about her she's just fine.

Sad truth is that the game is made for normies in mind. And most of them don't really care about characters having any sort of depth, in fact, try to show an actual deep character to your regular normie and they'll probably fail to understand and even dislike said character. So, to make it as safe, sterile and marketable as possible, every single playable character is either a pure good boy who's friends with everyone or a tragic martyr who was forced to do bad things but they're good inside. The grayest character I can think of is maybe Tartaglia but they are clearly trying to paint him solely as a good man who loves his family, disregarding the awful things he made like being ok with wiping out an entire city which probably had thousands of children the same age as his dear siblings.
Yeah the amount of actually decent characters is small. I like Xiao a lot but Genshin suffers from a lot of "smug character who can do no wrong" types like Yae who just fall pretty flat.
Then you have the other end of the spectrum where characters are just one-note or overly boring like Sayu and Ganyu. Klee is hard to hate, and Itto is good too.
Let's be honest, the male characters are just mostly decent at worst while the females are almost all either bland or annoying. That includes Klee too with her "I AM JUST SO FRICKING CUTE!" thing.

I don't think they need to be deep or anything but with some it feels like the core of their character is defined by a certain trait. Like compare Xiangling to Beidou, who are a cook and a pirate respectively, but while Xiangling feels defined by being a cook ala food Beidou's occupation doesn't define every aspect of her character or her interactions with the world.
Also I remember how quick Childegays would be to shit on Raiden for the whole Vision Hunt Decree thing. Still gets me.

I just got back into the game, playing though the Liyue archon quests and holy shit these are so boring. Literally hours upon hours of boring fetch quests with the whole Rite of Parting thing. You can just search the new reactions, they are all known already. There are several things in there that need three elements.
It's not really a triple reaction, you spawn mushrooms with dendro + hydro and then the mushrooms do a different thing depending on if you hit it with pyro, hydro, electro, or nothing. And electro/pyro react with dendro on enemies at the same time.

It's why I spent all of my resin on talents for characters I'll never use, because at least that's some guaranteed amount of forward progress.
Gear RNG is a shit system that gets exacerbated by games with limited attempts/time. If genshin offered any sort of protection/ ability to craft gear as you want, I'd have no issues no matter how large the time sink.
Unfortunately, it's the main way they get whales to interact with the game more than once every 2 months, so it's not going to change.

I actually did the artifact grind. A lot. So I often run out of inventory space and there is currently no way to easily get rid of my mountain of unwanted 5* artifacts.
I don't really have any artifacts to feed them to, because all I find is trash. The other option is to convert them into Noblesse Oblige, but I only need so many pieces of that shit.
Being able to covert them into the artifact exp material would be nice, but for some reason they don't want to do that.
