>get a strong urge to play Suzerain
>want to wait for 2.0 update but it will take at the least a whole month, probably more
>know i won't be able to play the 2.0 version if i play a complete playthrough on this one
What should i do? No matter what i try, no other game seems to distract me from this.
Kek this trannie again shilling game ? Glowie detected , my side’s in orbits anons !
Come on OP, it's just a month. Start a KoDP playthrough or something.
Also I totally forgot they're working on a narrative RPG set in the Suzerain universe too, set during Sol times. Might be cool if they manage to cram in as many meaningful choices as Suzerain had
Okay, since OP made an suzerain thread, i'll take this opportunity to ask how df you turn off black tuesday
I tried to do a cheat run for fun, but for some mindbogglingly moronic reason, having +3 budget means you must have 'LE CRASH' because clearly the economy falls if the government doesn't go into debt chud.
I've tried everything but i can't seem to find what in specific i need to switch off. Whanever i try it either results in absolute frickall happening or the game being bugged because there's no way to proceed due to not having the 'black tuesday' event
childlike view of economics
pretentious-like view of an game mechanic
It used to be that games had in-built cheats for you to mess around with, but suzerain won't even get a save system until 2.0
>because clearly the economy falls if the government doesn't go into debt chud
glad that not even the most moronic trickle down psycho is as moronic as you (hopefully)
>strongest economy in the world has 129% of its gdp in debt
umm debt free bros???
>black tuesday
never got it.
I got CSP and ATO blockading each other.
That happens if you go under -3, i believe
The issue is, i wanna edit it out. I have a savefile from when you're meeting with Gloria and Albin. I know there's probably some way to turn off the black tuesday from happening and keep the game working, but i don't now how.
I *really* don't want to have to go through all the motherfricking beginning again solely so i can have 2 less budget to not trigger this moronic anti-fun event
I think if you have a budget of 4, nothing will happen.
That is a lie, a budget of 4 is precisely what i had and i keep fockin' getting it. The issue is that the idiots made it so the 'check' for the budget is in like turn 3, so even if you change it to a 0 or 1 just before black tuesday it's not enough.
I fricking hate it. I'm certain there's some way to edit it out, but i don't know how.
it must have memorised it somewhere.
I remember dodging it constantly, but I don't know how, haven't played it for a long time.
>it must have memorised it somewhere.
Well i'm asking for some help because i've tried just about every single variable related to it i could think of
lmao, I had it actually written down in my Suz notes
>BT occurs if you hit -3 budget before the start of turn 4, no more than 2 to avoid Superpower trade war.
Well, sadly, i was *over* the budget (that is, too much)
I'm certain they store it somewhere but i can't seem to find out how to remove it without breaking the game and making it so you're stuck on the start of the "balance of power in eastern merkopa"
So how's that Rumburgian 3 day special military operation to de-Solize Sordland going?
It was successful in my game because I didn't do the fat general guy's reforms. Wonder if there's any way to win without enacting them
I think I did it but I might be misremembering. Because I think I kept the budget where it was originally, allied up with Wehlen, revoked conscription, let the Eggman keep the MP and also became buddies with Valdsland or whatever its called. I refused to join CSP and thus the war happened. I took Eggman's plan, but I don't recal what I told my allies. I also had pretty good Bludish relations, and I think that helps as well. Was a very satisfying game because Eggman went from the guy who couped me in the last game to the hero of the nation.
>He plays a CYOA
>He makes a thread about a CYOA on /vst/ not /vrpg/
>His CYOA is also gay
"le cyoa"
Suzerain has always been VST
Not a lot of visuals and not really a novel
Nope. It's an unrealistic VN, not a strategy game.
there is no strategy involved
Suzerain is a strategy game like Disco Elysium is an RPG.
You can play Collapse: A Political Simulator. Kremlingames made it more of a game and less of a VN, but it's definitely inspired by Suzerain.
is it still in horrible engrish?
Uh, seemed fine to me? It's on Patch 2.2 right now.
Not a strategy game
>b-but country management
The only difference between it and your average romance light novel is that you don't have cute boys and girls.
For me? It's Josou Kaikyou
Is Long Live the Queen a strategy game?
>another moron doesn't know what a light novel is
it's a puzzle game
no its a guessing game you have to somehow predict which stats are useless or which are good or you end up losing like the meme chocolate check
Sorlands for Sords, down with the b*udish menace.
Also Wahlen are total bros, anybody who doesnt side with them is moronic
are there even any benefits from not siding with wehlen? they're such a natural ally and the only reason I can imagine to not side with them is just moral grandstanding over muh bluds. And I sided with them and the bluds still never revolted because I'm not a moron
Wehlen is great but the issue is that they are useless as an ally because if you operate in operaiton bear trap you piss of the bluds, which means unless you are on a emergency powers route, they will drive off the wehlen forces when they try to help you. Really sucks. I don't know if you can beat rumburg with Agnolia and Iosef's plan alone.
I've already played Brante
>which means unless you are on a emergency powers route
People actually play the reformistcuck route?
Reformer nationalist gigachad rayne does not give a frick about the dreams of some old coot guard nor that homosexual kibener
this
I reformed the constitution and gave extensive freedoms but then went ultranationalistic and kept bullshit like evolution and women's rights totally out of the picture
defeated rumburg, allied valgsland and wehlen, fixed economy, old guard feared me, bludish never revolted, reelected, total success
>bludish never revolted
Wouldn't you have to pander to them by refusing kibener's bills?
>no other game seems to distract me from this
Life and Suffering of Sir Brante.
Its a much better written VN than suzerain. And yes, Suzerain is a Visual Novel
shill it to me, every time I remember sir brante and check it out my eyes just glaze over at the grim turboslav presentation
It's actually a pretty great story, but personally some of the more gamey aspects kinda suck. You basically have to follow a very strict path if you want to get enough points to do anything. I personally just cheated, and it was way more fun that way.
Also the only good waifu gets fricking ego killed and turns into a stupid alien and you can't stop it without making her hate you, it sucks.
female characters that are programmed to hate you seem to be an oddly common theme in these games
People who make non born/eichi Visual Novels hate romance and the oposite sex
The weird thing is that the romance is actually pretty nice until that point. But nope, gotta let her go through ego death to become some sort of Ehlnofey or else she hates you forever.
And yet weirdly enough, you can talk her down...If you're in the one fricking path that doesn't allow you to romance her; It's a joke.
>Also the only good waifu
but sophia doesnt turn into an alien???
>he let himself be mind controlled by some rando peasant girl
Dont tell me you also saved her life and wasted one of your deaths in childhood
like i did, because i thought she will be a love interest, too bad that in noble path you only see her in last chapter for a second
>shill it to me
Its awesome, story about personal struggle and overcoming shit circumstances in fantasy renaissance world with a looming racewar between ruling elite of blue frick and humans.
Noble path is the most fun as you have a straight tragic hero journey.
>grim turboslav presentation
Wait isnt that the appeal? I wish more games were like this in tone and presentation
In this game can I larp as an ethnonationalist dictator?
You can bully a national minority (bluds) and enact full scale counterinsurgecy against them.
End game screen even shows you total number of b*uds killed if thats what you want
But can I kill them all? Or are they scripted to survive?
>But can I kill them all?
I dont think so, was there ever a genocide that fully succeeded in eradicating some ethnicity in modern history?
